    • I Heart this List! With this list, between Kroger & Publix, and the chicken I bought at Kroger a week ago, I can eat for the next two weeks….and have change from a $1.00 bill. ;-)

      Chicken & Waffles, anyone?

    • Katehuber

Can someone tell me what area these prices are based on. I live in Tallahassee Fl and can never seem to buy groceries this cheap.( and yes I do use coupons and combine both store, competitor and manufacturer.)

      • Michelle…

This is based on the highest value coupon thats available, assuming you have it. (not everyone has all the same coupons). Its also based on stores that double coupons too I think, in which FL stores do not. Also its sometimes based on using certain competitor coupons that some stores may not consider as a competitor. So, its going to be diff. for everyone!

        • Diane

The deals are based on only buying what is truly on sale each week and using your MFR and store coupons (if available for that item) on that item. And stockpiling those items for 4 -6 weeks so you'll have them on hand and never have to pay full price, and usually only pennies on the retail price. Unless you absolutely have to have something, you should wait until its BOGO and stack coupons on the sale price. Y

Can you explain how the $1 or less grocery deals work? I printed the list, but I have never seen things this cheap. How do I get the, for example, Glass Plus 32oz. for $.24? This is my first week with Southern Savers and I am really excited to start using all the sites tips.

I am new to your website and just printed a shopping list of all the items on the $1 list. The option to print coupons were also selected. However, no coupons or indications of where to find coupons printed. I'm assuming that in order to get these low prices there are coupons. Am I correct? Any help would be greatly apprecaited. Thank you.

Also be aware that these prices might include coupon doubling. If you are in Florida, it ain't happening.

    • Lana

The John Morrell lunch meats were actually only 99 centsat Bi-Lo. They were 3.99 BOGO at my store and the register took $2 off of each and then I used a $1 coupon on each.

Also a less than $1 deal at Bi-Lo is the buy theirs get ours coupon on their website for the dark brown sugar. There is a .75 mfg insert coupon for 2# bags of Dixie Crystal powdered or brown sugar. The D Crystal sugar was 2.25 minus the coupon it was 1.50 and I got a free bag of S Home darkbrown sugar (2#). So .75 per 2# bag.

Hi Jenny. I'm new to your website (just a couple of weeks). Thanks for putting all this together! I'm wondering if it would be possible on the $1 or less and best deals posts to include the coupon match-ups. It is an option when you print the list but it doesn't include them. Is this a quick fix? It would sure be helpful to not have to go back to the main store area and get it. Thanks again!!!

This list is awesome!!! Any chance we can add Food Lion to it?

Hi Jenny…ran across this completely by accident..Schick Hydro has a rebate on their site up to 10.99, so if you bought one of these recently you can cash in! I bought one 2 weeks ago at CVS as one of the scenarios. http://www.schickhydro.com/freehydro/america-default.asp
