If you’re like me than you probably have piles of newspaper at your house. Life as a couponer usually ends up with an excess of newspaper. Here are 11 ways you can reuse your old newspaper in fun and useful ways.

Craft & DIY Ideas:
Newspaper Flowers: add these to a vase to make a beautiful bouquet of paper flowers.
-1 sheet of newspaper
-fold the long piece of newspaper up about 2- 3 inches
-cut off the rest of the paper
-cut this piece of paper in half and tape the open edge together
-cut small strips from the folded edge leaving about 1/2 in left
-tape to the skewer then start twisting the paper around the skewer
-after you’ve rolled the full piece of paper, tape to skewer to secure
Newspaper Party Pom: these make great decorations for any event and are super easy to make.
-4-6 sheets of newspaper
-string or twine
-lay pieces of newspaper out flat on top of each other
–fold from the bottom about 1 inch, continue folding back and forth all the way up (like a fan)
-cut paper in half
-tie the string around middle of the piece you just cut
-gently peel out the newspaper layer to create a floral effect
-continue separating until you get the full pom look

Use as kindling: we use rolled up pieces of newspaper all the time for a quick fire starter instead of those fire starter logs.
