Hey- thanks for the site, it has helped me so much! I went today with my plan in hand and bought the Gillette shampoo. It was $5.99, then after my q, 3.99. I aksed if that was right since I had jotted in my book it should be free after my $3ecb. She said yes, and I had a huge line behind so I went with it, but it caught me off guard. Prices are national, right? I am in North Texas...
  • Jenny
It is not hard at all. They will give you a gift card since you kind of paid with one. Some stores get scared by the concept and will just give you cash!

If for some reason you have a problem, just ask " Can I just return it without a receipt?" They will say yes and the solution is the same for you.
  • laura
How do returns work at CVS if I used ECB to pay for something? Will they give me a gift card? Is it going to be a big pain?
  • Jenny
Gwen, odds are those are both Manufacturer coupons so if you are only going to get 2 items you would not be able to use both of them. sorry.
  • Gwen
I have the $3/2 off manufacturer q for J&J Red Cross First Aid and I also have a SS $3/2 that is from a coupon machine. Can I use both of these at CVS which would give me an overage after ECB?
  • Jennifer C.
I founnd a link to the coupon when I googled Madagascar 2 coupon.

    http://gosublogger.com/wp-content/up..._coupon_...

I saw a few people who had tried it and it worked.
I'm going to try it tomorrow.
  • Jill
I have heard rumors that there is a Madagascar 2 coupon in a recent People magazine but have not been able to locate which issue yet.
  • Jenny
Tonya check out this weeks Drugstore deals to get an idea or two:

    http://southernsavers.com/2009/02/drustore-deal...
  • Jenny
It was in the Friday 2/6 paper, so not one that many of us got.
  • Jill
Where can the Madagascar coupon be found?
  • Tonya
I'm new to this whole couponing thing. I have tons of coupons, however. Do you have suggestions as to what I should purchase this week at CVS & Walgreens to get started?

Your website is GREAT!!! I appreciate all of your help!!
  • Jenny
The Gillette Shampoo is a month long item, so it is advertised in the Extracare Book. They keep a stack of these at the front entrance and all the deals go on all month long. If you buy an item and it does not print the ECB just grab the book and show them the deal.

You will find that most of the deals in the month long book are not advertised every week.
  • I just went to CVS to buy the Gilette for men shampoo to get the $4 ECB ... It is on sale but did not say extra bucks in the adv. or on the shelf. Does that sometimes happen? It that a misprint or will I get it if I purchase it? Thanks!

    Jenny,

You can only use one of the $1.00 off CVS/Pharmacy brand coupons that expire on 3/31/09. The coupon specifically says that and will not work when scanned with the first coupon. It happened to me today so I thought I would pass it along.

Be sure you check your receipt if you do the P&G deal. Here in TX the coupon for the movie isn't printing and so they manually printed me a $15 ECB! Awesome b/c I didn't need the movie but did need the diapers and just thought I would get something for having to buy them. So, if it doesn't print, get your complimentary $15!! (I just bought more diapers for free after q's.) ;)
  • Crista
So where is the coupon coming out at tomorrow? LOL
  • Pete
I have two CVS within 2 miles of me (Jax FL)and I now frequent the one in particular as they provide you with the coupons, past and present, for the product, right at the shelf. I about fell over when I saw all these little envelopes in front of the products with coupons. I initially thought that someone left a few for people, but the store employees actually cut out the coupons (left over Sunday papers) and put them next to the product.

They want you to use them. I even used one that they provided that was expired. I need to write the regional commending the manager, in a discrete way.

Thanks for all your hard work on the site, its the best and well organized.

    WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
  • Jenny
You can! I didn't see that coupon, good job.
  • shari
isn't there supposed to be a Q coming out tomorrow for Madagascar 2 ($5 off double dvd pack and a $3 single dvd pack)...can we use that WITH the CVS deal? makes it $2 doesn't it? Can we do that?
  • Chelssya
Wow, I'm posting a lot here!

I've also been unable to get ECB deals after 6pm on Saturdays. I live in TX. My CVS also often doesn't get in new products listed in the add until Tuesday, making it difficult to get some of the ECB deals. Anyone else encounter this problem?
  • Jessica
    Jenny,

You might want to clarify up on top that the ability to shop next week's deals after 6PM on Saturday at non-24hr stores does not apply everywhere. I've tested it out at a couple of stores in Gainesville, FL, and deals do not start until Sunday morning. Not sure if this applies to all of Florida, but I'd like to save someone an unsuccessful trip.

Very happy that Florida doesn't have a "special" ad this week!
  • Chelssya
Are you going to post your Grand Plan for this week? I live for your Grand Plans!!! Thanks for all the work you do!
  • Chelssya
Is it just me, or have the ECB deals seemed rather dismal since the beginning of the year? I was used to going every week, but lately the deals just haven't seemed worth the effort. Gotta go Sunday, though, because I have $35 of ECBs that are going to expire (not that that's a problem!)
  • Thanks so much. It helps planning the deals beforehand.
  • Jenny
Yes you are right. However if you had an ECB you could use it to pay the $3.99 and then you would get an ECB back. So the first time you shop you have to actually spend money but after that it can all be FREE!!! Check out the guide to CVSing (Click on Getting Started Guides at the top) if you haven't already for other tips.
  • mhorner73
New to this. For the ECB, you have to use it on your next purchase right? Example- Fusion Gamer is free after ECB, but you have to buy one for $3.99 in the first place to get the ECB and then the next one you buy will be free. Help...
  • Laura
If you do the Gillette/Fusion deal at Walgreens, it's actually a money maker!
  • Jenny
Nope, no test ad! The ad scan above is actually from a Boca Paper so you are good.
  • rudy
so excited about the madagascar movie for 4.99!!!!
  • Kristen
Hi Jenny, I have tried unsuccessfully to print the Stayfree/Carefree coupons since last weekend. The website takes you through the whole process and then states that the "campaign is over", I suppose the coupons have run out. Just wanted to let you know. Thanks for what you do to help us all!
  • katie
So no FL "test ad" this week? I live in FL and was so upset by that. I had to ban CVS this week (even though I needed a few things) so as not to contribute to their sales during the test ad! :)
