I think I have realized that I have time to type the deals but no time left to shop for them.  This week we spent all of our free time at car dealerships and thankfully as of tonight we own a new to us, Honda minivan.  I’m glad to have that over with, the entire process is way to time consuming!!  I apologize for not posting much this week and now that we have that feat past us should get back on track.

Turns out my post on saving on meat was perfectly timed and this week we got the call that it was beef week.  We went in with 5 families to buy a cow, our portion was 78 lbs of beef for around $3 lb this year.  We got a great assortment of steaks, roasts, ground, and ribs.  While the price might seem high per lb, most of the steak cuts we got I couldn’t get for $3 lb even at markdown so it comes out to be a great savings.

We did make it to one store this week…  I would take a picture but they are still in the car.

Kroger:

Year to date:
Total Value of Purchases: $2071.52
Total Spent: $643.26 ($53.60 weekly average)
Total Saved: $1428.26 or 68.9%
(this includes the beef purchase this week)

I have a lot of ECB that expire tomorrow so I have to hit CVS!!
