I just wanted to say that I bought, on two separate occasions, the Edge gel... and didn't get an RR. Neither time did I use and RR or a MC for the transactions. The first time, I thought it was a just the WG.. but after going to a different store, I figured it was just my area. There was nothing in the store that said I'd get a RR for the shaving gel.

Any ideas?

Hello, ladies.

I've noticed several of you mention contacting Catalina if your RR didn't print. I bought Edge gel today and it didn't print my $3 RR.

Today was my first time working the coupon angle @ WAG and I was so excited over getting the glucose meter free and buying the ChapStick and then the Q for the Crest plus the $2 RR that I didn't catch it in my second transaction (used the Crest Q plus the $2 RR for the Edge...does this make a difference) that my RR didn't print.

Does anyone have the contact info for Catalina? Also, once I do contact them, what will I need to be ready to provide to make it go smoothly? Thanks.

A quick question about B1G1 at Walgreens. I was told today that I couldn't use two coupons for the two sets of napkins i got (with the B1G1). I also had a glad bags coupon and a $4 RR from a week or so ago.

I handed her the glad coupon, 2 napkin coupons and then the RR coupon. I got 'beeped' when she tried to scan the RR coupon (it was the last one she scanned). Then, she voided all of them and put the RR in first, glad coupon, and then i got 'beeped' on the 2nd napkin coupon. She told me that b/c i was getting the 2nd one free, i couldn't use two coupons. But when she had first rung it up (in a different order), both napkin coupons had been accepted.

Either this is their policy (no coupons on a 'G1' item) or there is a problem in the system when you have more coupons than items?

The assistant manager came up and said, look, i can't override the problem. By that time my child was about to scream down the place, so I didn't pursue further. Just wondering for the future what is correct/in accordance with their policies?

Thanks! Really enoying your site!

To Wendy and Megan -

My Walgreens will not print RR when you pay with RR. I even called the Catalina company and they told me that you can't pay with RR and get RR. My Walgreens also wouldn't print RR because I used a mfg or store coupon. I called Catalina and they said that is not right, that I should still get RR. They said they are going to mail them to me. Now I don't use coupons for RR items, and I just shop the sale items.

I contacted Walgreens about the possible end of the EasySaver program. Here is their response. Bummer!

Thank you for contacting us regarding our recent decision to evaluate the EasySaver program in its current form. Walgreens is always looking into the future. For this reason, we are looking
at ways to revamp the rebate program to assist us in proceeding in an exciting direction. Although change is always intimidating we feel that it is time to develop a new loyalty program so we can offer our
consumers new and improved services. You will continue to find the EasySaver Catalog in our stores through April. Please look for future advertisement regarding our new programs to come.

Hello, I am new to this and it all looks really amazing. However, it is also a little deceiving!! If you look at the example from above:

Buy:
(1) Chapstick $1.99
(1) Glad Trash Bags $6.99
Use:
-$1 off Glad printable
Total Due: $7.98
Get Back: $1.99 & $1 RR’s, makes it $4.99

Buy:
(4) Pepsi 12 packs 4 for $12
(2) Quaker Cereals
Use:
B2G1 Pepsi printable
(2) -$1 off Quaker Cereal
-$1.99 RR
-$1 RR
Total Due: $9.01
Get Back $3 & $2 RR’s, makes it $4.01

This illustration make it look as though you got all these items for $9.00. However, the $1.99RR and the $1RR from the first purchase can't be used to make it $4.99 (you still pay $7.98). It also shouldn't be illustrated this way because you are crediting the 1.99RR and the 1RR to both transactions. Ultimately it should look like this:

Buy:
(1) Chapstick $1.99
(1) Glad Trash Bags $6.99
Use:
-$1 off Glad printable
Total Due: $7.98
Get Back: $1.99 & $1 RR’s for later use

Buy:
(4) Pepsi 12 packs 4 for $12
(2) Quaker Cereals
Use:
B2G1 Pepsi printable
(2) -$1 off Quaker Cereal
-$1.99 RR (From previous transaction)
-$1 RR (From previous transaction)
Total Due: $9.01
Get Back $3 & $2 RR’s, for later use

Total spent:$16.99
Total RR's for next trip: $3RR & $2RR

Not trying to burst any bubbles just know some people who would head off to the store with $10 in hand not realizing that it won't cover the transactions.

Please don't misunderstand this comment!! I think this website is fabulous and am thankful that I found it!! Just wanted to offer some clarity!!

O.K. correct me if I'm wrong. I went into Walgreens and purchased an Edge Shaving cream with a $2RR I received from the Chapstick I bought yesterday, and paid the additional $.49. My RR did not print and the manager said it was because I paid for it with a RR. I politely said that I've done it before and it still printed. She said it must have been a mistake and it will not print. I should have known better than to go into that store--I ALWAYS have trouble with them. They do not know how it works---but unfortunately, it's the one closest to my house.

I'm thinking of returning it tomorrow--but someone said I could call the Catalina Co. and still get it. That sounds like a lot of hassle.

Also, the Softsoap is still printing isn't it? Just not continuously? I also purchased one of those and didn't get my free one, again, the mgr said because I used a RR. GRRRRR!!!

The Wags in Germantown, TN _there are several -is more than happy to have customers use RR's. The assistant manager even asked me to tell friends about my great 75% discount by using MC and RR's. The only goof I made was to buy only a Soft Soap body wash with my last transaction - an additonal RR did not print out - should have read this blog before trying that deal - see above to buy at least 2 things. Also, I asked the Mgr about using more than 1 rr per transaction; she said if you read the fine print, it says 1 per. Since I never come home with one - make sure to spend, I can't vouch for that - can someone verify?

I went to Wags last night and was able to get the Coke deal B1G1 and two free candy bars. Sweet !!
really!! Also I found the shave gel on clearance for $2.59 and got a $3 RR. The Glade candles are wonderful (and free) with my coupons. I bought a few more of the sale items and after RR and coupons my total was $2.63 Retail I think was around $35. I love this stuff. I have gotten addicted. Most of what I get for free or nearly free I donate to ministries from my church or even local animal shelters.

Megan this is a common thing that is told to Walgreens shoppers but it is not necessarily true. Read the Tips and Tricks link at the top of the post to get all the details.

Thank you for all you do.
I have a question?
I went my Wags to try to attempt the RR deals...which I had never done before, i have mainly been a grocery coupon user...They told me that I COULD NOT roll over my RR if I tried to use a RR to pay for my items the Catalina would not printout my new RR. Is this a common issue at some Wags? or just my particular wags? we have others in the area I can try, but wondered if you had ever heard of it before?

Thanks Megan

I went my Wags to try to attempt the RR deals…which I had never done before, i have mainly been a grocery coupon user…They told me that I COULD NOT roll over my RR if I tried to use a RR to pay for my items the Catalina would not printout my new RR. Is this a common issue at some Wags? or just my particular wags? we have others in the area I can try, but wondered if you had ever heard of it before?

Thanks Megan

It sounds like it is true, the rumors seem validated by a lot of workers. We'll just have to wait until the end of the month to see for sure though.

I heard that the Easy Saver program at Walgreens was stopping after this month. Do you know if this is true?

Carolin:
There were two types of Huggies coupons. The first set were for any Huggies Gentle Care ($5) or Natural Fit ($3) product. The second set were for any Huggies Gentle Care Diapers ($5) or Natural Fit Diapers ($3) product. If your coupon says "diapers" then you can't use them for wipes. However, if you scored the first set of coupons that don't specify "diapers" then you can use them on wipes.

Oh, a friend said there is a special on Tylenol with RR this month but I don't see it in the flyer. Does anyone know about this and there is a $1 Q in the Easysaver on Tylenol and I bet I can round up a manufacturer Q to use also. Does anyone know if there is a RR w/ it and has anyone used this yet with success?

Jennifer, so nice to hear from an employee and so helpful. I had actually planned to use 2 RR from the same manufacturer tomorrow and now I know I need to break that into 2 transactions, which will mean I will not get all "mixed up" at the cashier and aggravate them! thanks so much!

Oh hey y'all! One more thing...be sure to check out the deal on the refillable ink cartridges. Normally, they are $10 for b/w and $15 for color, but right now they are $7.50 for all, and there is a rebate which makes it free. I'm not sure what the limit is on the refill/rebate deal, but it's worth looking into!

I have spoken to all the managers at the WG I work at about whether or not the SuperSavers or the Register Rewards system is going away. Nobody has heard anything about it. It is possible the manager at the Greenville store (and others) are spreading that rumor on purpose because some of them can be resentful of couponers...personally, I think you all rock!

Catalina(the company that does the register rewards/coupons) has caught onto the loophole with the Softsoap and the coupon no longer prints out on a product purchased with the free coupon. It was great while it lasted...but it's still a great B1G1 deal.

In regards to register rewards questions..... More often than not you can use multiple register rewards on one transaction; however, you cannot use more than one RR from the same manufacturer (the name is on the RR). If they are from different manufacturers, than have at it!

I hate to hear that some of you are having issues with WG cashiers who are not willing to work with you to help you all get great deals. Not all of us are like that!

Good luck to you all and happy shopping!

Shannon - Add filler items or just have things in your cart that you aren't using a coupon on... I know hard to believe but maybe you just really need it.

Jenny,
Are you talking about adding filler items? I am new to Walgreens and I thought I remember you recommending that you use certain coupons first, just can't remember the order.

Thanks!

....You can pay with as many RR in a transaction as you have products for. They are really manuf coupons so if you buy 3 products and already have 3 coupons then the computer will not take any RR, but if you buy 5 products, have 3 normal manuf coupons you would still be able to use 2 RR coupons. Does that make sense?
