Posted on Apr 24 2009 | By Jenny · Comments View Comments

These deals start Sunday 4/26 at CVS. This is a good week to stock up on some medicine cabinet items and possibly some cleaning supplies. Not much is free, but there are some good prices.

Remember:
1. For most non 24 hour CVS you can shop early on Saturday evening after 6pm and get these deals.
2. For B1G1 items you must buy 2, the second item is free.

If you are new to “CVSing” and the Extracare Buck system before trying to decipher all of this go read the getting started guide.

    Anyone who has time. :)

I am a green horn with using the ECB and coupons. Today i wanted to save save save. I took my first shopping trip to CVS. Signed up for the card and went shopping. I paid for my paper towels and TP and had my first two BUCKS. Well I wanted to use it on getting my shampoo free. The lady that checked me out was not paying any attention. I didn't get my one item free. She didn't use my 2.00. I did save 28.00+ and I have 12.00 to use on my ECB. :) All in all it was a great trip BUT I see how I have to pay so much attention to my items and the sale prices and coupons. I LOVE THIS WEB SITE!!!! Any advice on multiple check outs to get the most bang for your buck????
  • Adrianne,

Same has happened to me -- I used to get $5 of $25 purchase coupons every week, too. But I haven't for about two weeks now. I, too, am wondering if there's a change...

But this week's deals worked out great (maybe even better!) without that discount...

    http://b1g1bargainsblessingsbananas.blogspot.co...

    Gotta love CVS!

    Thanks for a great blog!
  • tonya
    okay thanks jenny & travise!
  • tonya
    travise,

is it legal to make multiple copies of the same coupon? will they all scan sucessfully if they have the same barcode?

    jenny,

maybe you could answer this for us. we don't want to abuse the system.
  • Jenny
They will all scan and they are just pdf documents so you can print multiples and the store will get reimbursed. Just use them in moderation.
  • This one will blow your mind I got it a couple of days ago and forgot to SHARE... SPEND .88c and get $5 ECB. Thanks www.CouponCravings.com Go to http://www.3m.com/us/home_leisure/command/comma... print 6 or make copies is a pDF so either way. The hooks (most if not all) are on sale for $2.50 and the coupon takes care of it in FULL. you pay .88c tax in SC and get $5 ECB for Scotch 3M usage. 1 per card..SWEEEEEET deal. i told all the teacher at our school because they are great for the classroom. Great gift for teacher...during teacher appreciation week. Check it out before they are all gone.
  • Adrianne
Just curious, I used to ALWAYS get a $3 off of $15 each time I made a purchase (it would print with my ECBs on my receipt) - now, I don't. In fact, I haven't gotten one in almost 2 weeks. Has anyone else had this problem?
  • TC
I noticed a lot of people say they do several transactions in one trip at both cvs and wal-greens. Do the cashiers ever get rude about it or do any of the stores generally have rules about "rolling" your ECB in one trip? Also if you have an ECB from one product, and use it in a different transaction to pay for the same product will you still get another ECB or is it like walgreens? Thanks
  • Emily
My CVS today had a handful of different brands and scents of deodorant on sale super cheap, and I was able to use coupons to get them almost free and less than free! There Suave, Brut, Speed Stick, Dry Idea, etc. I bought five different deodrants for under $1.00 total.
  • JessR2
oops.. I meant to say net spending $3... that's even better
  • JessR2
I have not gotten any emailed coupons from CVS either, but I was happy today that my CVS allowed me to use the Rite Aid $5 off coupon there on my purchase! It expires tomorrow, so I was glad to be able to use it. I got the Dry Idea on sale for $1.00, also Right Guard on sale for $1.12. Is it legal to use the $2 off Dry Idea when it only costs a dollar? My store was nice enough not to fuss about it.
Also had some CVS coupons that I used with the mfg coupons so I got over $50 worth for only $17. I also got $14 ECB for later... net spending $13!
  • Kristen
    Amy D.~

I was able to do the Aveeno deal twice. (Last week I bought 2 sunscreens and a shampoo. This week I only bought haircare products- don't know if that matters)

I was also able to use the -$10/3 Aveeno Positively Ageless coupon and the -$2/1 Aveeno coupon again this week!! So if you have more of those coupons and still have your 10ECBs, you should be able to get 4 Aveeno haircare products for $3.96 (plus tax) and still receive 10 more ECBs!!! I only had 5ECBs left, so my total was a little over $10.00.
  • Natalee
Okay, here's to you folks that haven't gotten your coupons from CVS. I'm a newbie and I went in today to edit my personal information for my CVS ECBs and it did not have an email address saved for me (even though I have to enter it to log in), so I entered mine and there is a box next to it that asks if you want to receive coupons by email. Hope this helps!
  • Emily
FYI - My local CVS had cans of Pringles on their clearance rack for $0.75 a can. Using two $1/2 coupons I got four cans for $1.00! Not bad...
  • Stacie
Alright everyone! I am having some difficulty! It seems that everyone is getting all of these $4 of of $20 coupons for CVS and I'm not getting any! I got one when I first signed up for the CVS coupons about a month ago (maybe a little longer). Now, it's like they've completely skipped over me! How in the world do I find these coupons? Is there a place online where I can find them to print off?
  • kelli
I went to CVS today, I did find the $1.00 Band Aids. The CATCH-you buy $20.00 worth of J&J Products, then you get $10.00 in ECB-averaging the Band Aids $1.00 a box. FREE when use the $1.00 coupon-if you have 20 coupons LOL!
  • tonya
    natalee,

bravo. you will get much better at this with time. just keep reading daily. i've gotten to where i know almost to the penny what is the best deal for a specific item and i'll go for it. you will also get a better understanding of how each store works and it won't be so confusing.

    happy shopping
  • Natalee
Okay...I have to share. I am a newbie and made my very first CVS couponing run today and here is the lowdown. Bought $36.32 of stuff origianlly priced at $45.70. I used $7.99 in coupons. My OOP was $28.33 and I got $12.00ECB. So it was like getting it all for $16.33. Okay, so I know that isn't just SUPER, but there were a couple of things that I just had to get even though they weren't on sale....
  • amy
i thought bandaid coupon was in ss 3/25 and rp 4/26
  • Erica
    There are Neutrogena printables here:

  • Amy D
If I used the Aveeno Lotion deal last week, can I do the Aveeno hair care this week and still get the $10 ECB?
  • John
My local CVS had a .99 cent J&J Travel Kit that they let me use my $1.00 Band-Aid coupon on. I got 4 for $0.24 tax.
  • lynn
i asked the manager about the dollar band aids she said they dont carry them but in florida we have a dollar general and there band aids are a dollar so your bandaids are free there good luck all
  • Dianna
I was also unable to find $1 bandaids anywhere in cvs. It was frustrating!!! I wish they wouldnt put it in the ad if it was not there!!
  • Marie
I stopped at four CVS stores between Georgetown, SC and Columbia and there were NO $1.00 Band-Aids anywhere in any of the stores. I agree, false advertising. I still saved a bunch, though, and got to roll my ECBs that were expiring today :)
  • Natalee
    Newbie Needs Help!

I'm making my very first trip(S) to coupon tomorrow and I have a question about the Zyrtec deal. Will they let you use the Zytec-D instead of the Zyrtec? My mom has to use the D. If not then I need to get it at Walgreens for only a $3RR instead of $10ECB.

Thanks to all of you! I have learned sooo much!
  • Brandi
Just made a quick trip top CVS on my way home from work and I had accumulated 5 of the $2 GE nut coupons. I also had several of the $2 off10 CVS coupons. So I bought 10 packs o cashews for 79¢ each and used 5 x coupons then bout the B1G1 Free AA batteries and a 750 count CVS Qtips on clearanc for $1.25!! I used the $2 off 10 and the nut coupons and a $2 ECb and my total was $3 something for 10 packs of nuts, 2 x 10 packs of battries and a 750 ct. of Qtips.
  • Rachel
    Jill H,

I am from the Atlanta area and my Red plum was missing several coupons. I looked through the whole paper several times. Don't know what happened.
  • Erica
The CVS coupon in the Fitness magazine is $2 off a $10 beauty or personal care purchase. It's in the newest issue.
  • Valerie
I can't find the coupon for the Schick intuition Plus Razors. Did you say it would be in the 4/26 paper?

P.S. Thanks for all you do! It has saved me a lot.
  • tonya
you can get a "raincheck"! the cashier simply fills out a little tear off "rain check" form. then on your next visit hopefully the sale will be over and the item restocked. you will get the item for the sale price you wanted. i just found this out last week.
  • Julie
I have a question. My CVS really irks me...when they run out of sale items (like on Sunday night or Monday) they are not apologetic or anything. I am really surprised by their attitudes. My Walgreens restocks sale items mid-week and they will usually tell me the exact day to come back. Should I just try to find a new CVS? Very disappointing! Thanks in advance!
  • Jenny from FL
Checked every band-aid box in my CVS early this a.m. and no such thing as $1...definitely false advertising.

Still had a good day got things we needed and didn't pay a cent after ECB and coupons!

    This site is super!
  • tonya
ditto on the cvs $4 off $20. i've never received anything. been cvsing for about a month.
  • Jill H.
Is anyone else in the Cleveland area missing a lot of the inserts from the Chattanooga Times...bandaids, listerine airwicks, etc.
  • Brandy
I'm bummed. Not only are they not any $1 Band-aids, but I see a lot of coupons listed as 4/26 that I didn't get in our Sunday coupons. Oh well!
  • .Jennifer
I signed up almost two weeks ago too Kelly and I haven't gotten my coupon either! grr

My husband works in a bookstore and heard someone as he was getting ready to leave say that there is a CVS coupon in this month's Fitness magazine. Just thought this might help. I'm not sure what the amount is or the terms and conditions. I'll try to get him to remember to look tomorrow.
  • Kelly
How do I get these CVS $4/20 etc coupons? I have been on their email list for a couple of weeks and I haven't received any. I just get an email when their sales flyer comes out. Thanks!
  • Michaelene
My CVS also had no $1 band-aids. They were sweet and gave me the $10 ECB manually since they couldn't find the correct priced band-aids. Or maybe they just wanted me and my three crazy kids out of the store faster! LOL
  • Anna
Ditto on the Band-aid issue. I went to 2 stores and the managers said it must be a misprint. The cheapest Band-aids were $4.19. If anyone found them will you please tell us what kind/size box it is.
  • Sylvie
    Shannon,

I was about to ask the very same question. I stopped into 2 different CVS stores today looking for dollar band-aids, and there were none to be found. I asked the manager what the ad might be referring to when it said "band-aids $1 and up" and he said "must be a mis-print. we've never had $1 band-aids!"

If anyone finds them... please tell me what type I should be asking for. I'm clueless. :)

    Thank you!!
  • MiniMidgMom
    http://www.all-laundry.com/register/

register for All $1 off and 40 cent off coupons to combine with the CVS BOGO deal. Print limit is 2.

Does anybody know if CVS will accept two All coupons for one BOGO transaction?
  • Shannon
I was also wondering about the Band Aid deal. There are NO Band Aids at my store for $1 or anything close. Does anyone know what to look for?
I did rack up on first aid kits today along with getting $30 in ECB's-$10 for the Aveeno deal and $20 for two surveys I did earlier!

    Thanks Jenny-you are fabulous!
  • Jen
Another note on the ROC deal. I was able to print 4 of the $3 coupon by puching the back button! If you use four of these coupons, plus four of the Johnson and Johnson $3/2, and buy 8 cleanser (to get to the $30 limit) and 4 Johnson and Johnson travel kits (.99), you will pay $11.96 and get back $10 ECB! Less than $2 for 8 cleansers and 4 kits! If you are wanting to do the bandaid deal, the $3/2 work for those as well. The reason I bought the kits instead of just using two of the $3/2 is then I received $2 of each cleanser instead of $1.50. This was a great deal for me because I needed to get my total high, I had a $10/50 to use!
  • Natalie
    Beth,
I couldn't find $1 band-aids either, or the $3-something Neosporin and Benedyrl. I looked in the travel section too. I was pretty upset at the advertising on that one!
  • Jennifer
Here is what I did at CVS today…
I had $10 in ECB (Extra Care Bucks) left over from last week...so this is how I started. You have to make several purchases to be able to use your ECB.
I only buy things my family needs…I probably could have saved more but I try to focus on only buying things we need!!!

    PURCHASE 1

    Used $1 off Visine
    Used $1 off BandAid products

Now this purchase was for me...we needed none of this so I probably could have saved even more this week...but these were things I wanted to give a 'spin'
    Purchased 2 Vitaminwaters (regularly $1.69 each/on sale $1.34)
Purchased Strap Perfect Bra holders $9.99 (I've been eyeing them and they've been $15 and up other places)
Used BOGO free coupon for the VitaminWater (which I am now noticing the cashier didn't ring in...so I should have saved $1.34)
Used $2 ECB from purchase 3. I should have owed (if she had used the coupon) $9.92.
    Total for items = $14.01/paid out in cash = $9.92/saved = $4.05

    TOTAL FOR ALL ITEMS = $92.85/TOTAL PAID = $33/TOTAL SAVED = $59.85

Jenny, you said that for the $3/2 coupon that this would count as the manufacturer's coupon for both items. Is this a CVS thing? At Publix they will let me use that coupon plus another manufacturer's coupons for the same deal as long as the number of items bought matched the number of manufacturer's coupons.

Donna, the ad does say buy 2/$5 get the free Wisp. There's a colgate coupon in this weekend's paper for $1. I got a raincheck at my store for the wisp since they don't have the 2 pack either. Should I email corporate and ask if they are substituting since this is happening elsewhere?

I signed up with CVS over 3 weeks ago, when should I start getting email coupons?

Best CVS weekend ever! I went yday and did okay - bought the combo of John Frieda/Biore with coupons and got $5 ecb,got 2 Crest tpaste w/coupon so 25 cents each and $2 ecb. Saw that there is a huge deoderant clearance on multiple brands.Right Guard was priced from 75 cents to $2. Went back today with 2 $1 Right Guard coupons, a $1 off Vaseline lotion coupon, and my ecb. I bought the Sunday paper, a tin of Altoids, 2 deoderants, the mega size lotion and the Garnier special - I paid $2.86 for all! One Right Guard was free with 15 cents overage and the other was 50 cents. I had no coupons for the altoids or paper and they came to $2.99 before tax so how's that for CVSing! I would have paid more for those two items alone then I did for everything if I didn't follow Southern Savers. I could have done better but we were on our way home from a hike and I had carried a 30 pound child a mile (uphill mostly) and when I split the orders and coupons I was too tired to strategize. DH is really impressed! Thanks, Jenny!

And the Sunday paper was $1 instead of $1.75 at CVS - is that because I went in the afternoon or is this a regular special? I never shopped CVS or bought the paper before I started visiting this site.

Jennifer, you can have my Pearl coupons in the future. I don't want to post my email address through this site but if you want to email Jenny she can forward to me. I'll save your address for when they come out.

thanks jessica! i printed 2/$1 off all 3x small & mighty.

    Hey everyone,
If you want to do the Roc deal, and don't have 8 coupons (if you are going to buy 8 cleanser at 3.99 each to get to $3), I found another coupon that works. If you have t=found the $3/2 Johnson and Johnson coupon (blinkie), no restrictions, at Kroger/Publix (near the band-aids). These work on the Roc because they are J&J too. What I did was bought a travel kit (0.99) and a cleanser to use with each coupon, therefore getting $2 off each Roc product. Hope that helps someone!
  • Jessica
On the CVS homepage right now they have a link to a $1 off All Small and Mighty coupon. It's on sale B1G1, so great to have.
  • donna albright
the cashier told me i had to buy 2 colgate tooth paste to get 1 wisp. Is this right?

Anyone having trouble with the $10ECB deal? I bought 20.87 worth of bandaids, neosporin and visine. After my coupons it totaled 13.87. My $10 did not print. Manager said it was because I did not spend $20. I explained that I did because CVS will be reimbursed for the coupon amounts. After a few mins. of arguing I requested a refund. He then could only refund the full purchase price of the items and did not want to do that either. Finally he manually printed the $10 ECB. He was nice enough, but it was very frustrating being treated as if you are trying to pull a scam. Also there are NO $1 bandaid, this was false advertising! Lowest price in our stores is also $3.29. Anyone else having these problems?

    Ladies, I have 2 questions:
1)if I have 2 BOGO free coupons for the Scrubbing Bubbles, will I get 4 of them free if I use them?
2)Also why is my SmartSource have a .50/1 coupon while all you guys have $1/1? :) We have different coupons in different states? I am in nevada.. just curious. Thanks!!!
    PS I love this website!!
  • tonya
there is a coupon for a piece of free kfc grilled chicken in the usa weekend insert in today's paper. great, if you have several papers.
  • Jenni
FREEEEEE!!! My CVS today is giving away their left over Easter stuff. North Charleston Ashley Phospate and Dorchester Rd. There are two carts by the registers and one of my regular cashiers told me to take what I wanted. Got two russel stovers chocolate bunnies (for when I need a chocolate fix)and two dye kits (for next year)! I left some for other lucky shoppers!
  • Beth
Did anyone find Bandaids for $1? The cheapest price in my store was $3.29. I even checked the travel size section. The asst. manager confirmed that there were no $1 bandaids in the store. Just curious ...
  • Shonda
I love your site. I had $10 ECB and $3 of $15 purchase. I went to get the cleaners deal and had a coupon for every one of my items and I ended going into the negative needed fillers. I got Scrubbing Bubbles, Windex, Toilet Cleaner, Pledge, and Dish Soap all for free and ended with $5 in ECB back. My husband is always amazed and said it has to be considered robbery. I just giggle. I Love IT!
  • joei
Does anyone know if the aveno deal is a monthly or weekly? I did it last week would like to do it again ;)
  • Brandi
Forgot to mention it's in the Parade book in the paper! LOL
  • Brandi
I noticed in this mornings paper there was a $1.50 mc for the Aveeno hair line thats on sale. I hae several printables, but I am sure that this one will help also!

As much as I really, really want a good sale on the V8 Fusion so that we can try it, it doesn't appear to be part of this sale. If anyone's local store carries it, they could use the Fusion Q for the Fusion drinks, but since they aren't specifically listed as part of the ECB offer, I wouldn't expect them to go toward that offer. Those Fusion coupons aren't meant to be used for the items that are on sale this week. Blech! We like the Splash a lot, but the price after ECB's w/o Q's looks just okay, not great. Can you tell I'm disappointed in that one?
  • Angela
    PS -
My CVS did not have 2pc wisp, only the 4pc so I couldn't do the Colgate deal.
    :(
  • Angela
Sorry, I'm sleepy... meant ECB's in that last post.
  • Angela
Had a nice CVS run -
Afrin saline spray ($1 off Q)
    Zyrtec ($2.50 off Q)
    Tylenol Simply Sleep
    Tylenol (I forget which Q I used...)
All on my Flex medical spending acct card!
    Got $10 RR

    All Small/Mighty BOGO, used $1 and $.45 Q's
2 boxes of Cinnamon toast Crunch cereal, $.55 off Q's
Used $10 RR and $1 OOP to pay.

Got $2 RR for next time!

Ladies, seems like everyone has a $1/1 Band aids coupon in their SS 3/15/09 and I am looking in the same paper and I have a .50/1 instead.. do we have different coupons in different states in smartsource? I live in Nevada.. Thanks! BTW I looooove this website..
  • tonya
good to know! i know i could at publix but wasn't sure about cvs. thank you lynn.
  • Danielle
FYI: $1.66 is not a good price for 3M Mailing Envelope or Photo/Document Mailer. A good price for those are 33 cents each at Walgreens (when they have a store coupon), or to buy them on amazon.com or Sam's Club (or the like, probably).
  • lynn
but to answere your question had it been bogo on the toorh paste yes you could have used two coupons good luck
  • tonya
NEVERMIND...i just read the ad and it's "buy one colgate at $2.50 and get the wisp 2ct free".
  • tonya
    ANYBODY WHO KNOWS...

if i buy one colgate @ $2.50 and get one free, can i use two $1 off coupons for the entire deal?

    buy 1 colgate $2.50
    get 1 colgate FREE
    use (2) $1 off coupons

    pay 50cents?

my guess is they will only let me use one...am i right?
  • Meg
I'm not seeing the Colgate coupon at the site posted...am I missing something here? Thanks for the help.
  • Shannon in ATL
    Donna,
I have made a few purchase with CVS online, not sure if that has anything to do with it.
  • Angela
Ok, I must be seeing things... sometime over the last few days I know I saw $4 ECB's when you buy 4 boxes of cereal and a gallon of milk at CVS. Or was it Walgreen's?
I am out of milk and wanted to do a CVS run this evening for allergy meds...
    Help!
  • Donna
And where do you get more than one band-aid coupon? Do you just have to buy lots of newspapers? Wouldn't that be defeating the purpose? Sorry Im still trying to get good at this.
  • Jenny
    Donna,
You would need to buy more papers or have friends give you there inserts. I know a lot of people who would use overage at drugstores to pay for their papers and coupons.
  • Donna
WHy do some people get cvs coupons in their inbox and others dont? I have not gotten a 4/20$ or 5/30$ ever! I want one! lol
  • Christina
y do some publix consumers receive these special $5 and $10 coupons, but not others?
  • Brandi
    Jenny ,
When you put the price starting at on the B1G1 items is tht the real prices, or is it 1/2 price since you are getting one free? This week I went to get some of the Loereal sale items prices starting at $3 somethingand the lowest item I could find was $7.
  • Jenny
    Brandi,
The prices I list are just the prices that are stated in the ad. Most of the time in the small print it says "prices starting at ____" These are the full prices but some stores don't carry the same items or have the same prices.
