That is sooo sad! My paper has already arrived, though I haven’t used it yet. But I’m just wondering WHY they would allow it to go through if it’s not “allowed”? Hmmmm……I am going to have to call them. That’s so so so frustrating.

I had to call 3 different Staples in order to find it. I was told by one that the sku was on the NEW packaging reems and they didn’t have the $6.99 w/ rebate of $5.99. The whole reason for the rebate is because they switched packaging. I also found out THIS is the paper they use to make copies for folks who come in for copy service. I was able to hunt it down and happily bought 2 cases I had to put them in the case (they were not trying to JUST sell by the case full). They accepted both of my $10.00 Office D. coupons, I had them ring up 2 orders (just to be on the safe side). Then the manager put them in my car for me. Sadly I should have bought more.

stopped at staples this morning after calling yesterday to confirm they had this SKU in stock. only found the boxes, no individual reams. took two boxes to cashier and said i wanted to pay for the reams separately. she said “we know all about the $1 paper.” “we were told to pull the reams off the shelf.” she refused to sell me the boxed reams individually. i think i’ll call corporate, as they can’t just take an item off the shelf and not sell it because they have a rebate on it!

No paper in Stone Mtn, Ga today, but I did get ink cartridges for my Kodak printers that are located at my Scrapbook Cabins in Ga. I used a Staples $10 off $40, the Office Depot $ 10 off $ 50 (the way the cashier rung it up, it took $ 11.97! off and the mgr was helping her also), so I got a $ 25 combo color/black ink cartridge pack for $ 3 instead of $ 25!!! And I will also get my Staples Rewards back also, so actually that 1 Cartridge was FREE!

I called my location first to make sure they had it in stock. When they looked up the SKU #, they said they had lots in stock (hundreds of reams). When I got to the store, they had no reams left on the shelf and a passing employee said they were out. He didn’t offer to check in the back until I told him I had confirmed they had it. So, if they tell you they’re out, make them look up the SKU # in their computer.

Thanks for the heads-up on the paper deal! We were going through our last ream and now we’re stocked for a couple of years–plus, after rebates and rewards, I’ll make $3! I bought 8 reams at the Staples on Apalachee. The reams were rather prominently displayed at a front end-cap by the paper and print shop section. And, the store manager enthusiastically accepted the Office Depot coupon.

The rebate deal can only be done in-store, and not online. I canceled my order, and it looks like I’ll have to track down some of these at my stores.
Laura – you should probably cancel your order unless of course you saw the rebate information in your online receipt. It wasn’t there for me and when I called they confirmed to me that this was only an in-store thing.

Laura – I did the same thing you did. But the online paper looked different than what Jenny has pictured. I hope it still works. When I put in the SKU number for the rebate on the staples website I got a 50% recycled Staples paper. Seeing as that is where the site took me for that SKU number I guess it will work. >< Staples will have a very unhappy customer and a return if it doesn’t work.

I went to my local Staples today and they acted at first like they had never heard of this and pointed me to another brand that was $2/ream after the $1.80 rebate. I spoke to someone else and she checked and came back and said that the promo I was talkig about was last week and this particular paper was $7.99/ream. I have printed the rebate on this and will stop by there again Monday on my way home, paper in hand as proof. Just one question, however, the Stapbles rebate says ‘Send ONLY the completed ORIGINAL rebate redemption form printed from the cash register.’ This means they will not accept the one I printed online from the site? That worries me as I don’t want to buy 7 reams of paper at $7.99 and not get the rebate if the store does not have the register print out. Any advise?

What a GREAT deal! Our Staples isn’t open yet here so I went online. I got 10 reams @ 7.99/ea, used a $25/75 coupon bringing my total down to 54.90 (FREE SHIPPING!) and I will get 59.99 back in rebates meaning I EARNED $5.09! The paper arrived the very NEXT day! Thank you JENNY!!!!

I always double print on my paper. If I print something off and no longer need it, I put it back at the printer and print on the back of it. You can ask others to do the same for you. It does make a big differents. My mom works at a retail store and she brings home her layoff papers after she set the layout. Lots of paper.

Also if you take the ink cartridge out and put in a air tight container, the ink will last longer. and don’t put the printer in a tight spot with the tower, for the heat off the tower will dry up the ink.

off to staples to hopefully get some free paper.

Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful deal! I did it tonight on 8 reams and used a $10 off of $50 purchase Office Depot coupon and they were very nice about it (I feel funny about using competitor coupons for some reason). Anyway, I couldn’t find it on the shelf (like others have said). When I asked, they knew right what I was talking about and took me to an end cap display in the back of the store, like others have said.

Anyway, I just wanted to thank you so much for sharing your amazing deals! Also, thanks for listing Publix deals! BTW, my husband is a store manager for Publix. I always check with him to see if I’m playing by the rules when I use the coupons.

Thank you so much!!! I bought 8 reams and pay about 49 dollar after 10 dollar off coupon. Our staple actually has the 10 dollar off 50 dollar perchase coupon in their weekly ads. I might make 2 dollars profit. Plus all the free papers!!!!!

I am in WA and they would not let me use the $10/$50 coupon on 8 reams because it made the price less than the rebate price. What I did though was buy 10 reams used the coupon and after the rebates will get them for free plus I used my rewards card!
I was kinda disappointed but hey! free is still good :0)

You can submit them all from the same receipt. And the ream is an individual package 500 sheets, you can buy it buy the case but have them ring up each ream rather than a case price.

ok i went to staples in greer,sc today at 10:30 i punched in the item sku number up popped the item it was the wrong item for a dollar. so ,i called and talked to a manager and she said that they had been out. i told her the sku said they were the ones i bought according to the stamples on line. i went back and she refunded me 38.16 and charged me 8.46 for all eight of the paper they gave me the wrong paper and let me get it for a dollar each that was so nice of kayla..

I just did it in Tampa. I had to ask where it was. It was on an endcap in the back of the tore. The cashier had to call the manager to get approval for the coupon but he said NO PROBLEM! We will be donating 4 of these to my kid’s teachers so they do not have to spend their own money on school supplies.
I have done many Staples Easy Rebates before and you can do all of them off one reciept. If you look at your Rebate form that printed out it will show how may you bought and that is how many rebates you get.

While you are there check out the FREE after rebate BIC mechanical pencils in the ad this week. I got some of those too.

Are we sure they will let us turn in 1 receipt for more than 1 pkg? We don’t have to buy them seperatly do we?

Also Edith said she bought the reams and I thought I read on Sisterly Savings that the Reams were not included ONLY the individual packages. Can you please clarify this….

Interesting info – staples.com customer service just told me that the stores gladly accept office depot coupons but that the online or phone orders cannot.
