You can get the Penny item with any purchase that is $10 or more before coupons. There is a Mystery Penny Item coupon in the Publix Sunday Ad every week. Some stores do not require this coupon, but many have changed and do require it now, check with your store to find their policy.

    Right now I have my coupons in a shoe box and before I go shopping, I get online and see whats on sale at what stores and I make an envelope for that store and go through all my coupons and see if I have any coupons that I can match up with their sale. Then I put those coupons in the designated envelope. Written on the front of the envelope is the name of the store.

    I have a busting at the seams little mini file folder. I also use the individual envelope for each store. I write my list on the back and put the coupons for that store in. I am usually shopping with my one year old so it pays to be organized and go quickly.

    I have a mini file, but it is also busting at the seams. It’s as full as I can get it. I try to sort out my piles too. It uually ends up a little hectic trying to go through them all due to the lack of enough space.

    I use a index card box for my coupons which I have in alphabetical order. After I get online to see where the deals are each week, I print a list of what I’m buying and where, I have a pocketbook size photo album that I put my list and the coupons that match in to take with me to the store. I also carry my box in the car with me just in case I run into an unexpected deal! My 16 yr old son usually shops with me so he is my runner and believe it or not but he enjoys it…we make a game out of shopping!!!

    Right now I have them in a box and each week I go through and cut out the coupons that I need. Then they get thrown in my purse and I head out to the store to use them. I have been looking for a better way to organize them since I am still new to the couponing thing.

    I have a two inch binder where I use plastic sheets that hold baseball cards to organize my coupons and then I have some folder pouches that are three hole punched where I put the weekly coupon sections and store circulars. I use post it notes to label the front of the folder with the date or store name. It is so nice

    Right now, I have hanging files in a bin, separated by folders, by date. As I get ready to go to the store, I pull out the coupons that I need and put them in a small file or envelope. I like the hanging file system, but I am having a hard time once I get to the store, to find the coupons that I need quickly. I would love to find a better way to be organized with my coupons while I am shopping. Thanks!

    I have a mini coupon organizer that I got at the Dollar store that fits in my purse. Unfortunately it is about to be thrown away because of the amount of use it gets and it keeps getting more and more torn each day. I need something sturdier to handle all of my new shopping habits. :)

    I use a little black book that zips closed and can hold a small notepad. I put my shopping list on the notepad and then have an envelope for each store in the side pocket. I put coupons in the envelopes for each shopping trip. I also zip my calculator inside to keep track of what I spend. At home I have a much larger system and huge accordian file, but I downsize for shopping trips.

    i use a 1″ binder with sections such as frozen, baking, canned, paper & plastic within these it’s just baseball cards. I fined this system okay to use. I am a beginner so i’m learning.

    Oh, I have been searching, searching, searching for something just like this!!! I currently have all of my coupons in envelopes inside a larger file folder! When I do my cutting and organizing of coupons, I, too, have large stacks all over my living room floor–until my little ones get a hold of them :0)! Having something that is more compact and easily “totable” on my shopping trips would be very helpful!

    I have my coupons baseball card holders in a zippered binder. They are sorted by type. Setup took along time but afterwards it is easy to sort them. They are clearly visible which is a long better than the old accordion organizer I used to have.

    I use a 3 ring binder with baseball card sorters, Jenny gave me this idea. Course most of my coupons are stuffed in the 3 ring binder, but not organized b/c I barely have time to cut them much less stuff them in the little pockets. For Shopping trips I pull the coupons I plan to use and put them in a zippy lock.

    I’m using envelopes at the moment. I plan ahead and use one envelope per store with the relevant coupons added into the envelope before leaving home. It’s not the best system, but it works for now!

    i have a 3 ring binder with an a-z sorter from staples. i use baseball card plastics 3×3 to hold the coupons by alpha. i sort by manufacturer name if i know them, otherwise by product name. i take it to the store when i go….there are deals that are not listed and i got upset missing out the first time i down sized to shop and did not have it with me. i have my list, my calculator, a pen, and my binder all in a bag, and i take my own bags to reduce my plastic waste. people look at me strange…but yesterday I saved 61.13 at publix and spent 57.15. i was buying a lot of things that i did not have coupons to use…but overall, that is much better than paying full price. i also use plastic sheet holders to hold coupons for target, publix, cvs and so on…it is so nice to know exactly where things are and have a way to sort all of that paper quicker…much better than anything i have tried before….i highly recommend this if you want to feel really organized.

    I have envelopes…I know that this must not be the best system but it works for me. I do have an organizer that I put all of the coupons in that I cut. But as I go through Southern Savers Web site..bit by bit I pull out the coupons and write on the envelope the store and the item that I am going to buy…and what it should cost me. That helps when I check out —to make sure that all coupons were used. In the envelope I put the coupon..and off to the store I go.

    I am about 6 weeks into couponing and I am not a utter. I have all my inserts in a file folder and go back and forth through each of them like 10 times a Sunday looking for the coupons fo rth eitems I’ve put on my shopping list. An organizer woulld save me a lot of time I think!

    I have a giant photo album that I keep my coupons in, in works for a while but then it’s cumbersome when you try to take it in the stores. I also try envelopes and paper clipping the coupons to the printouts from here that I edit. It’s all been a bit taxing, so perhaps this might be my happy medium!!! I read about this on her site and didn’t know if it would be good or not. But it sounds pretty nice so no matter who wins, would they please let us know how they liked it…

    I have a clear check accordian style file that I have labeled by store. That is the one I take with me when I am out and about. I match up the coupons with each store and file under that name. All my coupons right now are just stored in file folders

    Today I was at a Publix in Nashville, TN (suburb)-Bellevue, and they stated they will only take one coupon for the same item. It appears they have now been instructed when ringing up customers to take only one printed internet coupon and one newspaper coupon but not two of the same kind. Just and FYI from a very sad coupon geek.

    I use the baseball card cards holder packets and put all the coupons that I cut them in the binder. I sort them out through expiration dates. My husband feels embarrassed when I bring my binder with me to shop. :) I always look for a new way to organize my coupons.

    I have a three-ring binder that I have put baseball card holders in and I put my coupons in those. I also went to my local publix and got a list of what is on each aisle. I have the tabbed insert in the folder for each aisle and I have written on front of the insert what should be on that aisle. Then I have the coupons for that particular aisle behind that insert. I go through my book and pull my coupons as I look through my list on southern savers and then I just copy and paste my list in the order of the store. It takes a little more time on the front in, but it makes going through the store a snap, b/c my list and coupons are in order from left to right of the store. I also put my printout and my coupons in an envelope for the shopping trip, but I still take my binder in case I missed something.

    I keep my coupons in a Huggies wipes basket. I use dividers to organize my coupons by general sections…dairy, frozen foods, pet supplies, etc. It can be a bit cumbersome, but I have not found something that will hold the volume of coupons I have, and is easy to carry with me. I make my list, pull the coupons I plan on using, but like to have the others just in case I happen upon an unexpected good deal. Thanks for all you do!!

    I keep all of the coupon inserts from the paper and write the date on the cover. Other coupons I keep in a mini file. I look to see what is on sale by using the website and then look for my coupons from these two places. I think I need a better system!

    I use a photo book and keep the groups of coupons (paper products, freezer, etc) in groups of pages, roughly corresponding to the aisles in the stores. I pull out what I need for each store and paperclip those together, print my Southern Savers list for each store and then fold those pages in half and write the name of the store on the outside of the pages. I put the coupons for that store inside the folded pages and stack them to go with me in the passenger seat or inside the front cover of my photo book. I always take my book with me in case I see a sale on something and have a coupon for it, but the last week I just did a grab and go, taking only the coupons I needed.

    I just started clipping coupons. I went to a couponing class last week and I have a notebook with different sections for stores and each store like publix is divided up into sections with each aisle and I have baseball card holders in each section for storing the coupons.

      Most will let you do two. More than that and they start to say something. I have brought the whole the family in before though when it was a half gallon of milk and we all did our own transactions.

    I use a 3 ring binder with baseball card holders. I also keep a 3 ring folder with pockets in it to keep the circulars from the stores I shop at. It also holds a print-out from Southern Savers with my favorite stores best deals, which really helps with organizing! I have a pouch in the very front with 2 pockets. One holds scissors, calculator, pen & highlighter. The front pocket is where I put the coupons that I am going to use at the store I am going in.

    i just this week organized my coupons in a notebook with the baseball card sheets. my little accordian file was stuffed and i kept dropping coupons all through the grocery store as i tried to flip through my stack to find one random coupon. the notebook seems like it may be a little cumbersome to take with me, but hopefully it will help me find things much faster while grocery shopping with an 18 month old and a 3 year old!

    Organize? This word has yet to re-enter my vocabulary after having our first child. I’m elated when I find a huggies coupon at the bottom of the diaper bag/purse. I will admit that I am the one choosing the longest line so I can quickly fold and tear my coupons before the final total rings. I will also admit that I am getting much better at this whole coupon thing and enjoying saving the extra $$$ — what we save in groceries we put in our daughter’s saving account, it’s an automatic way to save for college and money that we figure we would have spent, we just now get to redirect it!

    I have been using a 3 ring binder with baseball card sleeves, but today I decided this method is far too time consuming and I bought a large accordion style file. I am beginning to get the hang of this couponing stuff, but keeping it all organized is a whole other matter.

    I keep a small file to keep everything but it is really not working very well for me. I have to keep taking everything out of each section to sort through to find anything.

    On Thursday night I make a list of what I need to buy at each store and paperclip those coupons to the list. This helps me to not buy anything that’s not on my list.

    Hey Jenny, I actually use a couponizer, it was a free giveaway sometime last year at a Young Life function. All the men made so much fun of them, I don’t think anyone was a couponer at this conference. I wish I would have picked up more. . anyway, I did grab two of them and it was in my closet for months until I started couponing a couple months ago. It works for me because we are limited to what we purchase because of diets and allergies. I love the little baggie that comes with it too. My Mom, Debbie, from CBS desperately wants one though. I couldn’t believe that they cost about $20 plus bucks. . .please pick me. . .Crystal Blackwell

    I organize my coupons in two different purse size accordian files – one for groceries, one for retail and restaurants. Each week, I go through the sale flyers and make my grocery list and then pull out the coupons I need and put them in an envelope with my grocery list. This makes it very easy at check out! But, I do keep the coupons in my purse, just in case I come across an unadvertised deal.

    I have all of my coupons in envelopes marked according to the type in a shoe box. I also have a coupons’ holder (envelope-sized but very thick) that I take to stores which holds the coupons I am most likely to wish I had with me but didn’t plan on using (which are health and beauty, vegetables/fruits, refrigerated items, snacks/deserts, househole products) and then I take a baggie with the coupons I will be using. The baggie is in the easiest to get to part of my purse with the bigger stack toward the bottom. When I have bought many papers, I keep the coupons in their respective flyers together in a stack beside my shoebox with the date on the top so I can easily flip to the coupon since you are so good about giving us dates (thanks!).

    I have a accordian file folder that I keep in my purse at all times! I have it labeled for the ilses as well as other stores like Walgreens, CvS ect. I keep all my resturant coupons as well. I go thou the ads and use an index card with the stores name on it that has the item the sale price and my coupon off! I store the coupons in that stores slot. Our Grocher Lowe’s does double coupons EVERYDAY up to .99 cents! My bill last week was 181.98 after the rewards cards, e rewards ( online linked to my card I get specail offers) and my coupons my total came to $92.55!

    also the knox coupon you can make copies and they will scan and work!!!!!!!!!!!
