FYI, I found the Neutrogena sunblock at the CVS in Austell, GA (near Milford Church Rd.) and it was on the top shelf above the regular size, in a bin. It’s not advertised w/ ECB’s, but they printed at the end. Also the B1G1 Sobe was adverstised here as well, even though it wasn’t at the Hiram store, so w/ coupon that was free as well.

Kasonya – CVS registers are programmed to allow you to use 1 CVS coupon AND 1 manufacturer’s coupon per item. So if you have say 5 items, the register will accept 5 CVS coupons AND 5 manufacturer’s coupons, providing the coupons are all appropriate for the items you’re purchasing. CVS coupons such as a $5 off of $30 purchase coupon do count toward the number of CVS coupons that you’re allowed to use. ECBs do not count as a ‘coupon’ (even though that’s how they show up on the receipt) – you are allowed to redeem as many ECBs in a transaction as you want, regardless of how many items you purchase. If you have 1 $20 item and want to use 20 separate $1 ECBs to pay for it, you can.

I know at Wal-Greens you cannot redeem more coupons than items being purchased, but is that allowed at CVS?…I’m speaking of coupons including ECBs. Thanks!

I missed the sun and mon deals but did get the 10ecb for suncare. I can’t wait to see the deal for next week. I have never had so many ecbs to roll over before. I am soo exited.

I want to do the start up deal for this week, but there are a lot of separate transactions. Is there anyone else who uses the Batesburg CVS? I wondered how they react to dividing up the transactions, and is there a time that is best for shopping there?

i had a problem with the thermacare coupons that i had printed out..
$5 WCB wyb $10 Thermacare Heat Wraps Limit 1
-$3 Thermacare any 2 ct or larger printable

**Deal Idea**
Buy: (2) Thermacare 2ct at $6.99
Use: (2) -$3 off Thermacare
Total Due: $7.98
Get Back: $5 ECB, makes it $1.49 ea

I was not able to do this deal b/c the machine at my CVS wouldn’t take both coupons on the same transaction, so I didn’t get my $5 ECB back…didnt realize that I could purchase the 2nd thermacare box and get the $5 back. i was wondering if anyone else had this problem with the printable coupon??? my friend went to the same cvs and didn’t have a problem….?????

Solei – some people’s stores do take expired ECBs, but it is not CVS company policy to do so. Some stores will take them after a day or two, some will take them after a week or a month, and there are a few (very few, probably) stores that will take them no matter how old they are. However, since it is not company policy to accept expired ECBs, it is best to not let them expire unless you have already spoken to the store and KNOW that your individual store will accept expired ECBs. You can never expect it, you have to ask and see what they say.

And yes there are some stores that will accept all competitors’ coupons, not just the prescription ones. But once again this is NOT a company policy, so you cannot expect that your store will do this unless you have already spoken to them and clarified exactly what they will accept. If you have a store that will take expired ECBs or all competitors’ coupons, you are a VERY lucky CVS-er. :)

Solei, the stores that I have gone to say that they DO expire. I have used “1-day” expireds and they said they do NOT accept them,but they can push it through if it has only been a day.

The CVS on Charleston Hwy (321) has the neutrogena in the trial size items. It worked today and I got $10 ECB when purchased. The Speedstick pro deodorant was out of stock, so I got a raincheck that will also honor the $3.99 ECB when they are back in stock.

Debbie, one of the stores here in Greenville has a sign up saying that they honor ALL competitor coupons (you may even be talking about the same one- Woodruff Road). Anyway, I always take in that Rite Aid coupon and they have always accepted it. This helps me a great deal because I NEVER get the really great $4/20 or $5/25 CVS coupons that people talk about. They just won’t let me turn around and do another transaction using another copy of it because it says limit one coupon per customer.

yes the neutrogena is a sunblock deal. it looks like everyone is finding them in diff places some by cosmetics some in trial sizes..if u click on cvs at the top of the homepage or any page on here really it will take u right to all the cvs deals and that one is at the top now! sorry if this comes out weird ..i can only see about half the page on my phone while typing!

I have a question…
I had read previously that ECB’s don’t actually expire, although they do have an expiration date on them.
I very stupidly let my ECB’S expire (not on purpose) they just did, and I tried to pay with them last night, but they beeped and the cashier handed them back to me saying they had expired. BUMMER!
I didn’t argue back, I just paid OOP because I was with hubby, but I’ve heard others say they don’t REALLY expire, that you could still use them…
Has anybody used expired ECB’s??? And do the cashiers just force them in???
I’m thinking of trying a different store because I’d hate for them to go to waste. It’s about $9.00 worth, so if they don’t work then I guess I’ll just return whatever I got them for since everything I get now is pretty much just stock piling.

any help would be appreciated!

I need to add to my last post – I also bought a tin of altoids! And if anybody else uses allergy meds as flex spending filler check the monthly deals coupons at the front of the store – I could have used a coupon and got 100% more for 50% less!

Beth, you’re braver than me – I took in a list with the my combos and what order I wanted to spend, and still made my husband stop working in the yard to watch the kids. I’m still too new to be distracted.

The Ziplock containers sound great – I always check in the 75% bin but didn’t see any. I’ll carry my coupons just in case.

I never found any Neutrogena sunblock items for less than $5, and now I can’t find Jenny’s original post about what she bought that triggered the ecb. Was it a sunblock item? Has anybody else duplicated that deal or have they changed it in the computer?

Jenny, tried Oreo coupon from SS 4/19 – wouldn’t scan – this is a Target coupon only – NOT a manufacturer’s coupon. Let me know if anyone sees another Q from that insert, but I only saw Q that was Target ad.

I went to three different CVS stores in my town in order to get all of the deals. Unfortunately, I had missed the Clearasil, and couldn’t find the Neutrogena at any of them. BUT, I did find Ziploc container 3 packs (small with screw and lock lids) on the shelf but clearanced for 75% off, making them .92 cents. I had 1.00 off coupons, making them free plus .08 cents overage. If you make your own baby food like I do, these containers work great for “on the go” meals, and you can’t beat the price of FREE! They had 5 or more at 2 of the stores I went to, so there is a good chance they will be at other stores as well.

Just had a great trip – walked in the door with a $4 ECB, spent less than $3 out of pocket total and bought: a 12 pack of cottenelle, two sobee’s, a pack of playtex tampons, 2 reach toothbrushes, and a colgate total toothpaste, a box of transformers band-aids and a box of Hello Kitty band-aids – and left with a $2 ECB.

Except for the “free” deodorant, they had everything on my list. I split my order into 4 transactions so I could use the ECB’s as I went along and I took a turn then let another customer take their turn while I organized the next transaction so there was never a line. I think the only cashier in the store appreciated this and she was very helpful.

When I used the BOGO Sobee coupon with their BOGO sale I walked away with two bottles, no charge. Is this what other stores are doing? I wasn’t sure if I should get two or three bottles when I combined the coupon and the sale.

Went in hoping for the Neutogena deal, but of couse, my little CVS didn’t stock it, so while brwosing (usually a mistake) I decided to go ahead and get the Olay lotions ( 2/$12) with the $5 ECB.(had 2 $1 coupons also) Great surprise at check out – the lotions were only 3.75 each! Still got the 5 ECBas well! :)

My clerk also let me use both the $3 off for $15 spent and $4 off for $20 spent in one big transaction! She said as long as it had totaled $35 or more overall it didn’t matter. What a sweet gal!
True now I have to go back to use all those ECB, but that great sale on the Olay threw my totals off!

Ok so I am very confused. I was very excited to go to CVS today and I went in and got the playtex, clearasil, revlon nail polish and two neutrogena products. Then I got up to the counter and they told me there are NO ECBS this week. I don’t understand. So I called another one in the area and they said they are not doing them either, not until next month. Does anyone know why?? I live in Southern California near LA. Any information would be helpful. I was going to call the corporate office. Thanks in advance for your help.

oh, one other thing on the bandaids. The store only had the sale price stickers up on the kids bandaids, but the circular clearly says other varieties are included. I got boxes with 30 bandaids rather than the 20 in the kids varieties. Just check the box at the scanner to make sure you have one on sale if your store doesn’t have the sale prices up.

I was excited this morning to get two boxes of Bandaids for 98 cents out of pocket, and $4 ECB back. I had a coupon for $3 off any two Johnson & Johnson products. I think I found the coupon on the floor in the grocery store a couple months back, so I’m not sure of the origin of it. So, it rang up 2.99 for each box of bandaids, less $3 coupon, less $2 ECB, for $0.98. Wish I would have seen the Nutregena sunscreen deal before I went to CVS. Maybe I’ll go back this afternoon since it is only a few blocks from my house.

Only the coupons with the word printable are coupons that you get and print. The other coupons are from the Sunday Paper. SS 3/01 means that it was in the Smart Source insert on March 1st. There are three main inserts:
SS – Smart Source
RP – Red Plum
PG – Procter and Gamble

My CVS didn’t accept the Color Cosmetic Product Coupon with the nail color. The Clearasil and the Playtex went well. Still I didn’t find the Neutrogena.
