I used to live in Spring Hill, TN and that Kroger does accept competitor coupons. They have it posted and everything. I miss Spring Hill so much! They talk Walgreen RRs there and everything.

Found another freebie at my Kroger today- Lysol Neutra Air on sale for $1.40. They had a ton of special packages with free bonus bottles. Combined this with my $1.50/1 coupon AND my BOGO coupon- 4 free bottles! Citrus scented Oust was also on closeout for $1.99 and I had a few $2 Qs. Guess who won’t need air freshener until 2011? As a rule, Krogers do not accept competitor *store* coupons. They should accept manufacturer coupons even if they have some other store’s logo on them. But a true store coupon from a competitor that doesn’t scan? If you’ve been able to get that Kroger to take those in the past, MiniMidgMom, you’ve been doing better than the rest of us. :) Unfortunately, that means calling corporate probably won’t get you anywhere, since corporate policy is that they don’t. As to whether calling the store will help, it depends on whether the cashiers have pushed them through in the past with or without the manager’s blessing.

Had my first really negative couponing trip in the SpringHill TN Kroger – the cashier didn’t know what to do w/a FL coupon. First she tried to refuse it saying she could only take 2 coupons per item.Then she kept trying to scan it.Then she called over the line supervisor who also didn’t know what to do.Line was building up,cashier had an attitude.At one point when I told her she couldn’t scan the coupon because Kroger accepted it as a courtesy to customers and it wasn’t in their system she said “that’s not right.” She asked what code the other cashiers used and when I told her (b/c they all use the same code) she said they weren’t right either! She didn’t seem to care that the line was backing up and kind of acted like it was my fault.I had to ask for the manager, who never responded to his page b/c he was outside at a family fun day the store was sponsoring. I couldn’t believe it.I’m trying to decide if I want to call the store or corporate.

No deal on Gerber Graduates here in Nashville.
They were $2.35 each at my Kroger! I about threw up when I saw that!!! Luckily, Publix sells them for $1.99, still not a dollar, but much better!

Jenny- Have you ever heard that the vitamin water coupon was fake? They wouldn’t let me use any tonight because supposedly the manufacturer never autorized it? What?

Do all Kroger stores double coupons on a daily basis? My Kroger store in Murfreesboro, TN has never doubled any of my $0.50 and under coupons, and I think that stinks! Publix always doubles my coupons in that range. Just curious. I can’t get anyone at the store to give me a definitive answer.

The country time deal is not running in our region. I tested it on our trip just to see. I also did not get it :( I had a feeling that was the case and so I never posted it as a deal for us… We tend to be a week behind other areas with Catalina’s in this Kroger Region so if you can get a rain check for the price do that and get them later.

The computers all look at the barcode not at the words. The doubling is a store effort and paid by the store so their computers will double any coupon that is the right amount and the bar code starts with a 5. Even if it said do not double in 40 pt font, it will if it starts with a 5.

Most of my printable coupons say do not double or triple. How can I get the great deals listed above??? For instance…the Green Giant Vegs. $1.00 each/.50 coupon = Free, but only if the coupon can be doubled. Help! Thank you.

Just got home from Kroger and I got the Country Time deal. In one transaction I bought 2 CT and use a $1.50 coupon, paid $.56 and got a $1 catalina. Then in next transaction I bought 2 CT and 1 crab classic (that are still bogo). I used $1.50(CT) and $1(CC) and $1 catalina and paid $.36 and got another catalina. woohoo

Anyone still getting that $5 catalina wyb 5 Digiorno pizzas?
I am going to “need” more frozen pizzas soon. Kids got into my stash that I was saving for a playdate next week.
I used the $5 catalina at Publix last week. Very nice!
