Lin, no reason to be shocked. That’s the way it works at most Bi-Lo’s. Most of the time you will find that they will only double if doing so will not exceed the price of the item. Since yours was for 55 cents, it sounds like it came from the Family Is Its Own Reward booklet. Those are coded in a way that prevents registers from doubling them. As you gain experience using coupons when shopping, you’ll learn the policies of each store that you frequent. Then you’ll have fewer surprises along the way.

I went to Bi-lo yesterday night. They don’t double my 10 of $0.55 coupons for Knorr Side!—I went to three different Bi-lo in Columbia, SC—This was really a shock! The reason they refuse to doulbe is that they gonna lose money! Does anyone encounter such situation?

Jenny, Is it possible to view the Bi-lo ad on Tuesday before the sale starts on Wednesday? Thank you. OH and I was at Bi-lo last night and the eclipse gum was 59 cents so I used both of my bogo free coupons from my all you to get a sweet deal on gum.

RE: Powerade 8pk 20oz bottles at $5.79 BOGO this week

I just went to Kroger, and they have a tear pad by the Powerade display that if you buy 2 of these, you can get 1 free. I took one so that I can go to Bi-Lo before their sale is over, and essentially buy one and get two free (since they each ring up half price). That’s an awesome deal on Powerade!

I must agree with them you about the Bi-lo pricing this week. I was shocked when I saw the price of the air freshner. I noticed that several of the items were priced higher than the ad. I paid about $5 more than what I originally planned to spend during this shopping trip and did not buy all of the items I planned to buy.

I went to Bi-lo on Friday and had a horrible experience. The air freshner was not 9.39 it was marked up to 13.12. The Ice cream was marked up to 6.99 and the pizza was marked up to 5.89. Bi-lo is very tricky with their wording of the ad. Be careful when you are shopping because you might not be getting as good of deal as you thought.

Is there any way to get around having to give out your ‘life information’ to get coupons??? Every time I see a great deal I click and then have to give my e-mail address, home address, and in more than one case, phone number. I just want to get my coupons and GO!!! I’m still trying to get over someone crashing my BRAND NEW computer after getting my e-mail address from a site I thought was secured.

Cheri (post # 33) – Did your Bilo allow you to use Internet Printable coupons? I always go to the new one in West Ashley on Sam Rittenberg and they told me last week they are no longer allowed to take IPs due to fraud. Very friendly with the manager there and have always bent over backwards for coupons, just this week started not taking IPs.

I was at Bilo today in Summerville, SC and there were coupons on the Dr. Pepper.

1 coupon was on the 12 packs of Diet Dr. Pepper and it was good for $1 off of 2 2 liters of Dr. Pepper…which is on sale right now for $.99

The other coupon was on the 2 Liters of Dr. Pepper for $1 off of 2 2 Liters of Diet Dr. Pepper or Diet Cherry Dr. Pepper.

And…the Blue bell ice cream was BOGO, but $6.99, which makes the $1.50 off coupon bring it down to $1.99, and for some reason, this coupon beeped and had to be pushed through. All in all, a decent trip to Bilo. Spent $17.97, saved $21.76

Wow! I just got back from Bilo – total before sales and coupons was $118.31, total after sales and coupons $42.29 – saving 76.02! That included 2 gallons of milk that were not on sale at $2.89 and a box of smart start cereal at full price of $4.19, BUT there is a certificate on there to ‘TRY IT FREE”. The other “goodie” is that I bought 3 boxes of Rice Krispies that were on sale for $1.99, had the $1.00 off coupon so they were .99. Inside all my boxes – the boxes are marked – are $5.00 worth of coupons. They are all GOOD coupons. One box had a different set – so not all boxes have the same.
Save $1 on any brand, size of milk when you buys ONE pkg of Kellogs fruit loops (one sale for .99 this wk at bilo with Q, corn pops, cocoa krispies (.99 this week at bilo with Q) or Frosted Flakes (also on sale for .99 this wk at bilo with Q) Another is $1 off fresh fruit when you buy one box of any kellogs cereal 12.5 oz or larger! Plus $1 off one mini wheats, $1 off ocean spray cranberry juice or craisins, $1/2 eggo waffles, $1 one dannon danimals 4 pack or 6 pack drinkables, $1 of Danactive, $1/2 poptarts!

FYI: Bi-Lo in Chapin had Blue Bell ice cream for 6.85 and the Woolite Oxy Deep carpet cleaner for 4.42. Obviously these prices are more than I anticipated but still a good deal after coupons. Oh, and be careful with the .79 cents eggs. I didn’t notice mine rang up for a 1.29 instead.

Amber if they don’t say DONOT double, don’t start with a 9 and your store doubles then it doubles also..so .88 plus .88 = $1.76 minus = 66cents.

There are multiple tabs on the Home Solutions (cattleman’s) page so make sure you’re clicking on the Food one. It does not remove the coupons from the page after you’ve printed them the allowed # of times (not sure how many that is) but it does print out a wasted sheet of paper stating “You have exceeded your household limit”. I guess they figure that’ll teach us couponers!
