Just returned from Rite Aid and was told they will not take internet coupons. Funny thing is they took my $5 off of $25 that came off the internet. In addition, they overcharged me on two sale items and I did not notice until I got home. Not a great Rite Aid week for me. I think I will stick to CVS. Rite Aid and Walgreens are taking all the fun out of couponing!

I called rite-aid corporate today, because I was told they would not take any internet coupons unless it was from the rite-aid website...needless to say, this was not true and I too will have a district manager calling me in a few days. I am going tomorrow, again and plan on having my phone in hand so that if they tell me they will not take internet coupons, I can call while I am there! I'll update you all later.

OK As I thought the Store Manager was incorrect! Here is there coupon policy..well they lost my sale to CVS this week! Have to try again next week!

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. I believe the Manager misunderstood what the District Manager had explained, or possibly both are misinformed as to what the actual policy is. The policy states; One internet coupon can be used per item; however, there is a $5.00 limit on each internet coupon. Similar to manufacturer's coupons, only one internet coupon is accepted for each item, unless coupled with a manufacturer's or valuable coupon found in a Rite Aid circular.

I will have the District Manager look into this and be sure all associates are well informed of the policy, and are handling the coupons appropriately at store-level. A member of management will be contacting you shortly.

OK I have just sent Rite aid an inqiry about there coupon policy. I went to the one on Batesville in Greer today and the manager there told me they only take up to $5.00 in Internet coupons. He told me the $5 off of $25.00 is an internet coupon. I tried to explain to him it was a Rite Aid coupon and he said they consider it an internet coupon and won't take any other internet coupons with it at all per his district manager. I will let you know what I hear back. That is CRAZY....sometimes rite aid coupons are $25 like for the umbrealla deal..so is he trying to tell me then he won't even take there own coupons....makes NO sense!

I was wondering if for the buy $50 worth of Kimberly Clark products deal was before or after coupons. I plan on transferring a prescription there tomorrow and get a $25 giftcard, then using that plus coupons to buy $50 worth of KC items AND get a gift card on the mail after that.

would that work?

I went to RA for the 1st time today and was so excited...I did the Pantene scenario and purchased $50 worth of J&J products (with coupons of course!) and got home and realized I hadn't used my $5 off $25 q. Can I return my goods and repurchase them without the original coupons, or am I just outta luck?
THANKS!

I was hasseled at Rite Aid on East Pine in Spartanburg today and I will not shop there again. I was told that I could only use one of the Rolaids coupons, one of the Renu coupons, one of the panty liner coupons. And I was told that I could not use both the BOGO and the $2 off coupon for the head and shoulders. I have never had any problems at the CVS on hwy 9 in boiling springs and that is where I will shop from now on.

Last week I expected trouble with the Stayfree BOGO instead I got to the register, cashier rang up 50 some dollars worth of stuff. I handed her the coupons and she said they received word that they couldn't take a BUNCH of coupons! I asked her what she meant by bunch and she points to my hand and says "what you have" Manager walked by wouldn't stop and confirmed what she said. I told her that I couldn't believe someone sent information of "bunch" and left her with all the stuff rungup and a line and went to another. I was really angry. I still can not believe the explanation was "bunch" even when I asked for clarification.

jenny/sarah,

thank you for clarifying that for me. that's what i thought too but i was thinking of the "same number of coupons as items" rule in which case i should be able to use both coupons on two items. nonetheless it is still a good deal.

i've noticed on some other sights they "rep" the person assisting them.
i would rep you but i don't really know what that means so i'll just say thanks again!

FYI-Here was the response from Rite Aid Customer Service regarding internet coupons-I had to print a copy for my local Store MGR as she refused to take them then changed her mind when reading this: Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Rite Aid's Coupon Policy is as follows; Coupons, and their face value, cannot be exchanged for cash.
Front-end competitor coupons will not be honored at Rite Aid. Coupons are to have a valid expiration date, those that are expired or ineligible will be returned to the customer.

Rite Aid will accept internet coupons up to the equivalent value of $5.00 off. No more than one internet coupon permitted per sale transaction.
Internet coupons must have a valid barcode that scans successfully into the register; manual entry is not permitted. *As of 5/08/09, based on customer feedback, we have modified our policy to allow more than one internet coupon
per transaction.
Only one manufacturer's coupon is accepted for each product, unless coupled with a manufacturer's or valuable coupon found in a Rite Aid circular.
Coupons may not be reproduced, photocopied, trimmed or altered in any way by the customer or Rite Aid associate.

Oh yeah, the one .99 deal that they did have was the Renu travel Kit for .99 but they wouldn't let me use the $1 Q. I didn't argue because the more I looked at it the more I realized that it really was for a big multi purpose solution.

The Rite Aid flyers have to be different because our flyer didn't have hardly any of the .99 deals. I was so disappointed. Most were just $1 rebate.

on the head n sholders deal, can i do this?...

buy
(2) head n sholders 2/$8

use

(1) "$2 off wyb 2" coupon

total $2 for two

To use both coupons you would really need to buy 3 items. Sorry.

Guess I should have listed the products:

(1) Crest reg. 3.99 sale 2.59
(2) Head & Shoulders reg. 5.99 sale 4.00
(3) Pantene products reg. 4.99 sale 3.50
(2) Renu Travel reg. 3.49 sale .99
(2) Dry Idea reg 5.49 ea. sale BOGO
(2) Right Guard $3.29 ea. Sale BOGO
Used
-$5/$25 Rite aid
-.75 PG 7/05 Crest
-2.00 Head and Shoulders from ??
-$4.00 BOGO PG 7/05
-(2) $2.00 Pantene
-$3.50 B2GO PG 7/05 Pantene
-(2) $1.00 Renu printable
-(2) $2.00 Dry Idea printable
-(2) $1.00 Right Guard peelie
Paid $4.60 and will receive $1.84 from the crest....so I guess, OOP is 2.76. Now, if I had only had one more Pantene coupon...hmmm
For any new couponers who doubt they can get there - here it is - a little math and luck and some planning - as well as being flexible with your scenario when you hit the store - since some of the prices will be different depending on where you live

Here's my 91% off deal at Riteaid (could have done better at 95% if I had added up my purchases correctly and not bought 2 overpriced but BOGO items) Regular price on items $55.48 less sales and coupons of $51.48 = OOP $4.60 plus tax and not counting SCR items of only $1.84. Went to buy 2 of the same item (Renu travel) one of which at regular price almost equaled my OOP. Thanks, Jenny - and the ladies at the shelter who will receive the shampoo and deodorant thank you, too. You have blessed us all.

Amanda...the 120 rebate book was something that came out at the beginning of the year if you purchased so many dollars worth of PG products...there is no way to get one at this point...so if you don't already have it...sorry
