I clicked on the smartsource link, and tried to print several coupons, but no dice. It says I already printed, which isn't true. Then I reloaded the page, and only 1 page of coupons comes up, when there were 9. :(

Just found a Smartsource coupon (link to it from southernsavers.com so Jenny can get credit!)
Save $1.00 when you purchase any two (2) Zebra Pen products. The mechanical pencils are pictured on the coupon too. This should work for some overage...

A big thank you to the angels who posted the Office Depot $10/50 coupon links. I bought 2 backpacks for my kids as well as some school supplies that were on free after easy saver rebate. When I get my rewards certification, I will buy more ink for printing more coupons!:) I love Staples, and I really love this southernsavers!

I met two fellow Southern Savers at Staples this morning, and one shared her Office Depot coupon with me!! So I spent $42 (total bill was $52 minus the $10 off coupon) and will get back $24 via debit card (photo paper), an $8 rebate check (pens and pencils), and then in October will get a $16 store credit ($15 backpack rebate, and $1 for paper bought last week). That's an overage of $6!!!!

I love the Easy Rebates program. Their online submission and tracking system is great. The checks come pretty fast, and they keep you informed via email. I've never had a problem.

Angie, I didn't get a pencil sharpener (have it from last year) so don't know about the instant savings, but you should call before you go. They may fix it over the phone if you paid by credit card.

Okay, I get it now! :)
The backpack is an exception to the usual Staples Reward rules!
    Great! :)

PS...if you like the slimline pencil sharpener for free ....you could do even better than my above comments, I have one from last year when they were free and just chose not to this year...

My husband and I both have seperate accounts for different businesses...so double what I am about to tell you....We just went and got $100++ back packs. They happen to be 25% off - very important for the $20 off $100 coupon....got the pencils, highlighters, and pens that are free after the instant rebates( that you do have to do either through the mail or online..).We also each got something that we needed for office supplies that took each of our totals to about $106 or so....After the $20 coupon and the rebate, we figured that he just got paid $6.13 by Staples to buy $129 's worth of products....My payment back will be about similar, after we get all Staples Rewards and rebates back....this is an awesome deal! Thank you Jenny for the competitor coupon!

I have a coupon for $25 off of $75 for PHONE or ONLINE orders from Staples.com (excluding desktop and laptop computers.

This cannot be used in the store - however, Staples offers FREE delivery for orders of $50 or more.

The code is 8463964922795562 and it expires on August 3, 2009.

NOTE: If you're just registering with them be certain to add your Staples Reward number in your profile.

I went to Staples today and got the 4 "Free after Rebate" items. I did not notice until I got home, but the 5.99 instant savings for the pencil sharpener was not taken off my total. I got all the rebate forms, but no instant savings. I will have to go back. Any one else have this trouble? Charleston, Tanger outlet store.

Organizing tip for Southern Savers users: In order to keep all my ECB's, rain checks, etc. separated and easy to find, I use sheet protectors (clear plastic 3-ring binder sheet covers from office supply store). For instance today I put the sale paper from CVS, my printout from Southern Savers regarding CVS sales and the coupons I'm planning to use at CVS this week. I write the name of the store across the top of the sheet protector in wide tip marker and I just put the various sheet protectors I'm using that week into my car. It keeps everything for each store together in one place and everything is clearly visible. Hope this helps someone.

The Staples website says that you will be sent a reward IF your reward is $10 or greater. This means that you must spend $100 to get that ten dollars, becasue the reward is 10% of what you spent that quarter. If you do not reach the 10 dollar reward threshold, you lose all of the reward.
I was excited about a free backpack, but will not be getting one now. Even though I am a rewards member, I have no intention of spending that much money at Staples in one year, never mind one quarter.
If I am mistaken, please advise! Thanks!

I just got at $10 off $50 Staples coupon in the mail in my Val-Pak coupons. Also, if you are a member of Office Depot's rewards program, they send me $10 off $50 coupons all the time in my e-mail and in the mail. Didn't know Staples accepted competitors coupons. That's great to know!
  • Annette
There are coupons for purchased of smaller amounts here. There is one for $10 off a $50.00 purchase and one for $15.00 off a $75.00 purchase. Staples takes them as competitor coupons. I wanted to spend closer to 50.00, so went looking for one. Fyi, Last week I used the $5.00 coupon and it did not affect my rebate on the paper.

Can you all pull up this link? It is an Office Depot Coupon 10 off $50 that doesn't expire until 7/25. I received it via e-mail though so I'm not sure if everyone else could access it or not. I hope so. This site has been such a blessing for our family and I hope to help others as much as I have been helped.

    Bobbie,

The register prints out separate rebate receipts for each item you buy. You can enter all of the info online so you don't have to actually send them in if you don't want. They make it very easy!
  • Bobbie
Don't you need a seperate receipt for each rebate?
  • Gena
Thanks for the $20 coupon. I'm definitely getting some printer ink cartridges to bring it up to the $100 figure.
  • Just so everyone knows, Easy Rebates give you cash back (well, a rebate check really.) Staples Rewards are store credit, and they do expire (like CVS ECBs). So, if you buy a $40 backpack, you will receive a certificate to use in the store or $40 in the mail several weeks later. They have about a 3-month expiration I think. They have to be used all at once.
  • Misty
Oh, and please note that the Competitor's coupon expires the 20th! That's Monday! :)

    No penny deals next week?
  • Anne
Do you have to be a Staples rewards member to get the rebates or is that just for the backpack?
  • Bobbie
Would they accept the $5.00 off $25.00 purchase Rite Aid coupon? They do carry school supplies.
  • srtasa
    yes
  • Alison
Does that mean Staples accepts competitors coupons?
