The Mystery Penny Item at Publix for Sunday & Monday, 8/9- 8/10, is:

Publix Frozen Pizza!!

You can get the Publix Penny item with any purchase that is $10 or more before coupons. There is a Mystery Penny Item coupon in the Publix Sunday Ad every week or somewhere in the Sunday Paper. Some stores do not require this coupon, but many have changed and do require it now, check with your store to find their policy.

**If your store has substituted something else but still has this item in stock you can ask to get the corporate decided item and most stores will let you**

The penny item at my Publix was a 24 ct package of Deer Park spring water. I would much rather have that, so I was very happy!

My Publix switched the Penny item to Publix hot dogs and said it was because they were sold out. I had the pizza in my hand and said "there is 30 more in the case". The cashier said, that's the old penny item, not any more. So why tell me it was sold out?

Also make sure on the pizza that you dont grab the "premium". I did this in error. They told me it was only good on the cheese, pepperoni, etc. Not the white pizza or Margerita (spelling?), etc.

I just got back from the Harbison Publix and they did not double my coupons. Anyone know if they have quit doubling? I went to the Irmo one last week and they did.

I just left the Publix in Lexington and they were using Lipton tea bags (regular or decaf) as their penny item. They still had some pizzas in the freezer section so I'm not sure why they were doing the substition but not a bad deal either way.

The Gulf Shores, AL Publix also does not double coupons. Not sure if they participate in penny item.

I was informed by Publix today that, after September 1st, if a competitor coupon requires a store card(or rewards key like Harvey's) they will no longer be accepted.

No, the $10 purchase does not include the mystery item. It's all other items BEFORE coupons are deducted. One penny more purchases the mystery item.

FL and some southern GA Publix stores do not double coupons or have the penny coupon.

Our publix evidently does not participate in the penny item. I occasionally have the coupon from buying out of town papers. Should they accept that and give it to me anyway? Is this a corp. Policy or what?

No pizza in Summerville SC. Cheerios instead, and some of the boxes had $1.50 off Pampers coupons on them, so I'm very satisfied!

I went to Publix today in the Acworth area, and the customer service rep told me that the Publix fliers got left out of the Sunday papers this weekend. I don't know how far reaching this was. My Publix had a copy that they would scan for you to get the penny pizza.

The pizza is yummy!! YOU DON"T HAVE TO HAVE THE COUPON TO GET THIS!!!! They will normally ask you if you want the penny item. We just got done with supper and that's what we had. I was very impressed with their brand pizza!

Just a note - the Publix at Thornblade in Greer SC is going to be cracking down on their coupon policy. No coupons from other groceries unless it is a direct area competitor (i.e., they will not take Food Lion, Harveys, Kroger, or Harris Teeter coupons since there are none around). They will also no longer accept coupons from non-grocery stores (Target, CVS, etc). But they'll still double, and they'll still take direct competitor coupons. :)

My Publix store had copied coupons for anyone who asked for them. (they didn't get the ad in their papers either) That happened to me last week when I bought 10 papers from Kroger NONE of them had the Publix ad so I figured since I bought it at Kroger = No Publix ad.

All of my Publix stores will give me the penny item without the coupon. Sometimes I have to ask, other times they do it without even asking for the coupon.

Starting next week, our Publix is going to require coupon for the penny item. It is not always in the online circular. Any other way to get this without newspaper ad?

OK, is this right?? I got the Tyson frozen chicken tenders Q for $1 off (last week, I think), then now the Yellow Publix flyer for $1 off off and then add the FL $1 off Q??? That means $3 off 1 bag?? I will do it every week until they expire, if so!

The Food Lion $1 off Breaded Tyson is really a manufacturer coupon released by Food Lion, so it is not really a competitor coupon. You can use it with a store coupon and save $2 off but you can't use it with another manufacturer coupon.

Where do I find the coupone for the 1 cent pizza? Is it just in certain area's? The manager couldn't find it either. :0(

I got two papers and didn't get a Publix ad in either one! So disappointed. :(
