Publix Yellow Advantage Buy 8/8-9/4

This is the new Publix Yellow Advantage Buy Flyer that started yesterday in stores. Advantage Buy Deals are good if you have a product that you are very loyal too, but generally don’t plan on these being the best deals. I’ve only listed items that are a decent price, but if you find anything I missed or other coupons please share!

The Riserva has a $1 Publix coupon in the Summertime Savings booklet. There are also more $1 MFR coupons from the 6/21 SS insert.
Combine both coupons to get these for $1.50 each. Not the best deal every, BUT have you seen these Riserva ones? Pretty decent deal.

Hey Michelle #24: Maybe they won't give rainchecks because the sale lasts until 9/4? So there should be other chances for you to get the item at the advantage price. I wonder if you went on the last day of the sale, would they give you a raincheck then? I wonder.

To Karen: The advantage booklet is like a flyer that Publix puts out that is good for a limited period of time. The yellow advantage buy flyer is good from 8/8 until 9/4. These booklets contain coupons...some Publix store coupons, and some manufacturer coupons. Sadly, some folks like to grab lots when they go, so you may have to ask at customer service.

FYI-I was told at the Publix where I shop that we now have to ask the cashier for the Advantage Booklets because people were grabbing handfuls of them when they were on the rack.

This week the package of Lifesavers are on sale for $1 each and inside of the marked packages they have a $1 off coupon. We all like Free.

I learned something new today...I went to Publix to get this product:
Chinet Casuals Lunch Plates 36 ct $2.50 ea
They were all out, so I went to the customer service desk to get a raincheck, and they said they didn't give rainchecks on advantage buy items. I never knew that. Now I do! Just thought I would share if anyone else was under this misconception.

HELP! I'm new here and trying to understand everything, having just unsubscribed to The Grocery Game. The lady in front of me at the Publix checkout line recommended you all and she saved WAY more than I did on The Grocery Game.

So, my primary store is Publix and I'm trying to figure out when buy the Green & Yellow Advantage Buys. You all are set up a little different (which I like) but I ONLY want the BEST Savings Possible! This is my first week using SS and I need a little help or a buddy to ask questions to. Am I correct that just becasue an item is listed in the Green/Yellow Adv. Buys...does not necessarily make it a good deal? I will I know when it IS a good deal?

I have tried to taken out most things that are just not deals at all. But in general for advantage buy deals I would consider them whatever color the "kind of on sale only buy a few" was for the grocery game. These just aren't going to be top deals. For the Green Advantage buy list most everything, I mean everything you are going to get for a cheaper price at a drugstore so I would only look at that once when it comes out and not worry about it again.

If any of the in store coupons make for better deals during the month they are good, I will try to always pull those to the weekly deals post so you don't miss them.

I am in Jacksonville to visited the Publix on US 17 today and had no problem with the Charcoal deal! Asked the manager first (just as backup before I got everything loaded and had the deal fall through) I don't even have a grill lol. However the girl rang it up..no issues.

I'm having problems finding the chinet coupons ss 6/28 and 8/9. Anyone else?

I don't think anyone mentioned this and perhaps it isn't really a "need to know" but my coupon regarding the Chinet crystal plates/ cups is different from what you have. My coupon from 6/28 says $1 off chinet cut crystal plates and cups.... not "or" so you have to buy both to get the $1 off. I don't know if everyones is like that but it is here in southern Alabama.

Publix in Duncan, SC will not take the 1 dollar Mentos coupon because it is "more than" 99cents. :(

Here in Jacksonville, Fl, some of the Publix have tightened up and in some cases completely changed their coupon policy. Unfortunately, there are people out there who will use coupon fraudulently. Those people - do not realize that they make all of us look like coupons are bad and that we are trying to do something illegal. One person told me she went to a publix on the west side of town and they told her that the $6 coupon for pork wyb certain products and a 13.5 bag of kingford charcoal is fraudulent and is no longer accepted. Also, this store's new 'policy' is to NOT accept any Internet coupons over $1 in a value. WOW! I guess we all have to 'study' the sales a better to get the best deals. Anyone else having this issue with Publix?

I got 5 Green Works for the price of 1 using the Greenwise coupons! Best Deal of the Year for me!

Having problems getting the flyer from the store in Taylors. Seems they will not put them on the rounder anymore as people are taking stacks at a time. We are just two people so I only need one green flyer and one yellow but seemingly, no one seems to know about any of the new flyers that just came out. And, they are keeping them at Customer Service from now on, which was why I came and asked them directly for them. So now we have to play go see Customer Service just to get a flyer for anything.

Melissa, if you can't find them on the turnstyle some stores now keep them behind the customer service desk because, in my particular town, one person was going from store to store taking literally hundreds of the fliers and none of the other customers could get them. Now they keep them behind the desk, which is good and bad. Good because you can at least get one but bad because you can get only one and if you shop for multiple households, as I do, this can be a pain.

Tyson Skillet Sensations are $4.99 (reg 7.99) with $1 blinkies (if you've used your other coupons already). I tried one last night and the orange chicken was great! They are over 20 ounces, so well worth four dollars. Of course the first one is free... remember the rebate offer.
