These deals are for the CVS Weekly Ad starting 11/1.  You can shop on 10/31 if your store in not a 24 hr store start at 6pm in most areas (some are earlier ask your store).  There are a few coupons this week that will expire on 10/31, so I have included for any Saturday evening shoppers.  We don’t do much on the last day of October, so a trip to CVS sounds good to me.

FYI - Anyone wanting to buy the iTunes gift card like me???? I bought one today hoping to use ECBs to pay for a portion of it. That was a no-go. I guess they say specifically not for use in purchasing gift cards, which I should have known, but didn't really think about. I also wanted to use the $5/$30 coupon, which was also denied (same reason). I was going to buy the gift card anyway, though, because of the $10 ECBs that come with it. I then pulled out the little red card from the Christmas booklet... drumroll.... it WORKED! I got $10- ECBs for the buying the card, $4- ECBs for using the card inside the booklet. So, I got the $50- iTunes gift card for $36- net. Not too bad considering Hubby will be buying 50 songs at some point in the future with (or without) it! The perfect (money saving) stocking stuffer! THANKS AGAIN Jenny!!!

Please some one give me the zip code for the ICE AGE DVD! please!!
  • Sue
Finished my CVSing for the week. Very profitable.
    Started with $14 ECBs
On the first trip I bought:
    2 Tylenol Cold @ $6 = $12
    4 Ricola @ $2 = $8
    1 Tums @ $3.99
    1 Colgate @ $2.99
    1 Softsoap Base @ $3.99
    1 Aquafresh Extreme Trial Size @ $1.49
    Total $32.46 + $2.27 tax = $34.73
    Used:
    (2) $1 off Tylenol
    (2) BOGO Ricola
    (1) $1 off Tums
    (1) $2 off Tums CVS Q
    (1) $1 off Colgate
    (1) $1 off Colgate CVS Q
    (1) $2 off Softsoap printable
    (1) $2 off Softsoap CVS Q
    (1) $1.25 off Aquafresh (free trial size)
    $5.00 off $30.00 purchase
    $11.00 ECBs
    Paid .21 + $2.27 tax = $2.48
Got back ECBs: $10, $1, $1, $1 (bag tag scan)

    Trip #2 I bought:
    6 Candle Holders @ $2.50 = $15
    6 Refills @ $2.50 = $15
    1 Softsoap pump @ $7.99
    1 Softsoap base @ $3.99
    Total was $41.98 + $2.16 tax = $44.14
    Used:
    (4) $2.00 off holders
    (2) $1.50 off holders
    (6) Free refills wyb holder
    (1) $2.00 off Softsoap printable
    (1) $2.00 off Softsoap CVS Q
    (1) Free Softsoap base wyb pump (peelie on base)
    $5.00 off $20 purchase
    $3.00 ECBs
    Paid $2.16 tax.
    Got Back ECBs: $9, $4
    Finished with: $26 ECBs
$12 more in ECBs than I started with minus $4.64 OOP equals $7.36 profit. Plus I have a $4 rebate form for the Softsoap. I would not have bought the pump except for the peelie on the base because I have pumps. I was just going to buy another base to get the ECBs and forget the rebate. But when I found the peelie on the base for free if I bought the pump, I decided to buy it and send for the rebate. That means this week's CVSing was a $11.36 moneymaker for me! Thats great! Plus I have all these candles, lovely soap dispensers, and cold meds!YAY!!
  • Sue
I am also sending in 3 SC Johnsons rebate forms for the Glade. The only problem is that I bought them all together so I had to send them copies. I wrote a note explaining so I hope that they will honor all 3 of them. That's a total of $26.36 PROFIT!
  • Sue
I just wish that my ECBs for the Glade had been 3 x $3. Instead I got 1 $9 ECB.
  • Susan
I am new to this site. How do I "reset" My Grand Plan and start a new transaction suggestion? Thanks
  • Pamela
I have two ECB's that expired Tuesday, 11/3. Are they gone or has anyone ever redeemed after expiration?
  • The Mentalist
They will probably beep if you present them after expiration. That is because store own coding is encryoted with expiration date. However, I have had mixed experience. Most likely, they will do it manually if you talk to the manager. If that does not work, call the customer service and let them know that they are expired and never used. They will allow a new one printed on your receipt after your next purchase.
  • kelli
usually, if you're nice, they'll let you use them for a few days after the expiration date. good luck!
  • Holly
CVS Christmas Booklet - the pharmacist yesterday gave me the Christmas Catalog for CVS, and inside is a coupon for $4 in ECB when you spend $20 or more in the store. That is a good deal! Be on the lookout for these Christmas Magazines, or ask your local CVS. Also, got an email from CVS today for $4 off $20 purchase, and I think you can combine the two, so I would get $20-$4 coupon = $16 minus the $4.00 in ECB, total $12 out of pocket (BEFORE coupons! ) YIPPEE!!
  • Teresa-QOCD
    my purchase: 3 sudefed @ $7 = $21 - $5 off $20 - (3) $2 coupons = $10 and got $10 ECBs. Thanks everyone!
  • The Mentalist
On Sofstsoap deal, nut a pump and a refill to get $4 ECBs. I used two coupons one ofr that $3 (but a pump and get 3 off on refill), and also used $2 coupon on any softsaop product (from the link given ablove). At my CVS, it beeped for the second coupon $2 off on softsoap (pump in this case). I made my logical point and they did it manually witout a fuss. From reading posts above, I see that many of you did not have that problem. Can someone suggest why that happened? EAch CVs store is "different?"
  • kelli
anyone know how much the Honey Bunches of Oats are?
  • The Mentalist
They are B1 4.79 and G1 Free. I used two $2 off coupons on both packages they rang through automatically, no beeps, no manual. So basically, I got the two boxes for 79 cents. Just in case, this is totally legit. CVS is running its own sale and has just set the price at 0.00. It is still being "sold" not being "given away." manufacturers are unrelated to the retailers, so the coupons can be combined. Let me know if someone has something different to say
  • LD
Online they show 4.79 ? Not sure if there is a percentage off in add or what I dont eat cereal so never pay attention unless it is granola to make bread HTH
  • kelli
thanks for the response. I went in to cvs today to grab some bogo kleenex and I meant to check, but I totally forgot. my sick brain was only thinking about the kleenex. then I had a bad experience with a cashier who took my coupon away from me because I had 2 and it say "one per customer." grr!
  • Meg Fuentes
$10 ECB wyb $20 in Select Cold Remedies listed Limit 1

Are some deals regional? I live in Northern California and they aren't running this deal at all. I was hoping to get the ricolas but they weren't on sale and there is nothing in the ad about this promotion. Thanks, I love your site.
  • sheila
The viologie and fruitopia shampoo/conditioners are 2/5.00 in the reinventing mag there is a 2.00 off/1 for each product. The products are great and help you reach amount for a $/$$ coupon plus great shampoo and conditioner for .50.
  • The Mentalist
Unless you think the Glade deal is working well for you, do not buy them. I used the glade refill, tiny candles compared to its large packaging, burned out in an hour, and no scent at all, nothing, nil, nada. With so much packaging, but a total piece of garbage! Not good for the environment
  • Carrie
They do burn out fast, my thoughts exactly for the price, although I have loved the french vanilla scents. The only one that never gave a smell for me was the orange vanilla soy candle by Glade. It smelled better just sitting there before burning it. While it burned, we only smelled the burned wick. My kids kept asking if something was on fire.
  • Becky
I found a great deal at CVS. Small Dawn hand renewal soap .97 cents and I paired it with the $1.00 off coupon from the home made simple booklet. Got the soap for free!!!
  • Lyndsey
    hey there,

I am new to couponing in general, this is my first attempt. This week I saved $5.50 on a pack of huggies diapers at Target. I used like 5 manuf. coupons on one, the cashier had to keep hitting "accept anyway". I wanted to start small so I thought CVSing would be a fit. I know the store well, actually was a pharmacy tech for them. So, my question is I see all of you listing coupons you have gotten, where do I get them? I can see the three to click on from this site(coupons.com, smart source, and RedPlum), but it seems not all the coupons you are listing are there. I have a big family to buy for (5 adults, 4 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats, bird and fish!) please help!
  • Jen
A lot of us get the coupons in the sunday newspapers and save them til the right time. Also some can be found online or in magazines. If they are online they will usually have a link beside the coupon description. I hope this helps.
  • BKM
I just went to do my weekly CVSing at my local CVS. I did the Glade deal x 3, the Oral-B deal and the soft soap deal. Used coupons for everything, $20 in ECB, $3 off coupon and ended up spending on $2.11 out of pocket. Got $18 back in ECB and a $3 off coupon.

Once I took a look at my receipt, it appears that my checker gave me $3.49 off for the glade refills - not the actual price of $2.50.
  • The Mentalist
that's because its original price. Sometimes, the system in some department stores takes off the original amount, not the sale price. In few cases, cashiers also overlook sales price and simply takes off the original price they see on their screen.
  • kelli
wow, lucky you! great job. :)
  • Bonnie
HEADS UP on the glade deal.... If you are fortunate enough to find the holders, some packages have $2 / 2 coupons inside the box. I was able to wiggle the coupons out of the boxes that I was buying. (Please don't take coupons off items you're not purchasing.)
  • Sue
Wow if you were able to wiggle those things out, you are GOOD! I had to cut mine open to check for it.
  • Robin
The glade deal also qualifies for the SC Johnson buy three get $5 mail in rebate. You can print the form off their website. So if you buy two for five and get one free then send in your five dollar rebate you get all three free. Also the site says you can do the rebate up to three times combine that with the ECB and you are making money.
  • Cory (Lexington, SC)
Has anyone heard of any upcoming Aveeno ECB deals? Or Aveeno deals anywhere? We are out of some stuff...please let me know if you know of anything. THANKS!
  • Patricia
Cosmo readers...in the Nov issue there are 2 Qs for Olay body lotion. One if for $3 off one and the other is for B1G1.

    Deal:

    2 - 20.2oz Olay body lotions 9.99/each

    use:
-$3/15 purchase (I used the one from Long Island parent)

I finally found this coupon, it says "up to $6" which means the $9.99 lotion should've be free. :( I was really excited about this.

my cvs takes it (even though its blurry)
  • kelli
did you use the printed version of the $3/$15 coupon or a real copy? I was just wondering if the printed version was working for anyone. I'd love to do this deal.
  • Kate
Where did you find this on the webpage? I have looked all over and can't seem to find it!
  • Patricia
I printed it and it was blurry...the guy just had to key it in because it wouldn't scan, but had no problem using it.
  • The Mentalist
Someone said above, the magazine is online only, not in print. So, there is no other choice
  • Jen
It appears that many CVS here in Columbia, SC are out of the glade holders. I've been to about 4 and none of them have any. I am so mad at myself b/c I went to one tonight and got the soap dispenser and refill and the toothbrushes and forgot to use my $10 ECB which would have made my purchase $1 and some change. I keep kicking myself for that. The cashier was very unfriendly and rude. I hate when people who are working act like they don't even want to be there and take it out on the costumers.
  • Reina
I just left the CVS on Lake Murray and they said they got a huge shipment (mostly Christmas) in today, and IF they got the Glade and SoftSoap products, they'd be out tomorrow.
  • Susan
Kleenex Buy One Get One Free, $2.39 I believe. Back in late Sept. early Oct. I printed a BOGO Kleenex coupon off Bi-Lo's website. It is a manufactors coupon, so I got 2 free boxes of Kleenex today. Just in time for cold season, and I love free.
  • Wow; CVS got more money out of me today than it probably has in MONTHS (not counting my prescrip refill copays). I used up my ECBs last week on the cheap Glade and I ran us out of cold meds this week. Figured since I needed to replenish anyway, might as well do it while I could get some money back:

    Bought:

    (1) Mucinex-D - 14.79
    (1) Sudafed PE - 7.00
    (1) Tylenol Cold Day - 6.00
    (1) Tylenol Cold Night - 6.00
    (1) CVS Nasal Spray - 3.50

(I should have checked here more closely; I'd have snagged the cough drops instead to get me to $20!)

    Used:
    $3/2 Tylenol Cold
    $2 off Sudafed
    $2 off Mucinex
    $1 off Mucinex

    Spent: $32.74
    Got back: $10 ECB

My cashier at the pharmacy was SO nice! She had a $2 Mucinex coupon behind the counter that I guess she was scanning as a courtesy, but when she saw I didn't have anything for the nasal spray, she forced my $1 Mucinex coupon through also! I think she could tell I was not feeling well and needed my cheap drugs!
  • Carrie
Well I hope that I am not re-posting a duplicate, but here is the heads up on the plackers coupon from the Atlanta Journal and Constitution, it is for $1/3 (one dollar off of three)CVS machine will beep. Not that great a deal to me. I just put them back on the shelf but the cashier was friendly when pointing it out.
  • Rebecca
I think I had the best checker on the PLANET the other day. He noticed the plackers Q was for $1 off 3 items, told me, and took it off anyway. That never happens to me. AND he was friendly with all of my Qs, AND he told me I'd done better than anyone he'd ever seen. Very nice shopping experience. Thanks CVS!
  • Tara
Hey! Today I got in the mail two coupons for 25.00 gift card for every new or transferred Rx.
  • Jen
One more thing, I was telling the cashier at CVS about this amazing site and she told me of another site about CVS. I'm not trying to get anyone to turn towards that site and many of you may already know about it, but it's IheartCVS and they already have salespapers up for the rest of the month. It's just nice to look ahead and see what will be on sale next week. It looks like the Contour Glucometer will be free next week too. If we bought one this week and got the ECB can we do it again next week?
  • The Mentalist
Can you tell me the "amazing site"? I do not know about it.
  • Jen
Well... I was actually referring to this site as the AMAZING site. The iheartcvs site is good to just look at the upcoming sales papers for the rest of the month.
  • Jodi
She did tell you the site in her post.
  • The Mentalist
Yes, from my experience. It has to be advertised for ECB that week though. In other words, each new sales week start a ne savings for you. They want you to keep buying and buying..that is the whole point. They are happy with shopoholics like myself. However, I like to hear if anyone has had different experience
  • Jen
I am new to CVSing so to start off today, I went and bought the Countour Glucometer for $9.99 and got a $9.99 ECB printout. I used the $9.99 ECB printout on the transaction above and then a few hours later on my way home I took the Contour Glucometer back and got a refund.

I do have a quick question though, do you have to buy all of the participating items at the same time in order to get the ECB's? For instance, if I were to only buy $10 worth of the products that you havve to spend $20 to get $10 ECB can I purchase another $10 later in the week and get the ECB's then? Thanks!
  • The Mentalist
The answer is yes. From my past experience, they accumulate in multiple transactions. For exmple,I have spent $15 so far on Glade deal and have gotten $3 ECB on $10 spent. So I willbe up to make up $5 to get my second $3 ECB (the limit is 3 for a total of $30 or more). However, I like to hear if there are exception or any perceived problem anyone know or has faced?

(Your first paragraph is lil bit... lol)
  • Jen
What about the first paragraph? I don't get what you're saying. I feel bad about taking the item back but I won't use the glucometer.
  • LD
What I think that the others are talking about in your first paragraph .
You bought it to get the RR if you returned the RR when you returned the meter nothing wrong . I wonder if CVS customer care card will void that RR from your acct if you did not return ? . If you didnt return it , that would be the best to happen .

As this is why lots of stores stop these programs all these different ways . Give away donate sell at your next yard sale . Return with the RR so CVS has a reason to continue with this program . If you tried to buy something with your RR then tried to return it and they would not give you your money back or your RR back you would be upset I bet, they kept both the item and the RR . Well that is what you did to them kept the money and the RR.
  • amyt
You should feel bad about taking the item back. People who abuse the system will ruin the deals for everyone. If you can't use it, donate it.
  • The Mentalist
*also to add... you must accumulate the total spending same week to get the ECB back.
  • Jen
Can someone tell me what I did wrong?

    I bought:
    - 2 Tylenol Severe Cold at $6 each ($12)
    - 1 Dayquil Liquid at $5 each ($5)
    - 1 Vicks Vapo Rub at $5 each ($5)
    Total: $22

I had the spend $20 coupon and get $4 ECB and gave them that first.
    Used coupons:
    - (2) $2 off one Tylenol Severe Cold that was attached to box but the
cashier tried using my other mcf coupons for the tylenol products
    and they wouldn't work.
    - (1) $1 off Vapo Rub product mcf coupon and (1) $0.55 off Vapo Rub
    product mcf coupon
    - (1) $1.50 off Dayquil product mcf coupon and (1) $1 off Dayquil
    product mcf coupon
    - 9.99 ECB
All of this made my total 6.56 with SC tax

I got the $10 ECB for spending $20 on these items, but I never got the $4 ECB for spending $20. What did I do wrong? Thanks!
  • Rebecca
Are you referring to the card in the holiday booklet? I think you really have to SPEND $20- to get the $4- ECBs to print at the end. It's not like a $4- off of $20- purchase coupon.
  • Clarissa
I'm not sure why you didn't get the $4 in ECB's, unless you have already used it before. In that case, I read on this site that they are tracking that coupon's use through your CVS card. And it is only 1 per card.
  • The Mentalist
I dont have the answer for your question. But, it looks like they shoudl have printed because it was a separate deal. You may wanna call them and they will adjust it for you so you get it at next purchase.

However, I have a question. I always thought there was only one mfc per product. You seem to have combined two mfc, though with different amount off, and applied them to one same item. Can you do that and does it work?
  • Jen
I try to use as many different mfc's per one item that I can. A lot of times it works b/c they are different coupons. Sometimes it will tell me that I can't use them, but I at least try. I try not to group the coupons together for the item when I hand them to the cashier.
  • The Mentalist
Exactly, I would like to do. Once, I tried to use $4 off coupon from PG and one $2 off from RP on one Gillette Razor. I knew second wouldn't scan but gave it a try, so I gave the higher value coupon on top for it to be scanned ok. The first one, of course, went normal; the second did not and gave a beep. I told cashier they were two different types, but she did not process them manually. So, at CVS registers, two coupons for the same item do not work.
  • LD
OK I need help if anyone knows the answer as I need to make my run in the am ???
If I have a coupon for glade, Buy candle holder get refill free . Also have a coupon, buy a free refill get a holder free . Can I use these together just buying those 2 glade items ? Or are they going to say I cant get both free ?

I know it doesnt meet the min for the deal but just want to do this till pay day on fri. If there is anything glade left by then LOL
  • The Mentalist
I explained something similar above with logical analysis. In short, you couldn't use two together that you mentioned. That is because, the coupon is essentially saying buy 2 and get 1/2 off, so the coupon is for two items bought together.
  • Jennifer N
Jenny - I noticed you listed a $1 mc from Red Plum 11/01 insert for the Plackers deal at CVS - I live in Chattanooga and it wasnt in my insert - any other way to get this coupon online somewhere?
  • Has anyone been able to get the entire Glade deal to work between the coupons needed and actually finding enough in stock in the stores? I got a rain check for mine today, but then that throws of my other deals for this week. Tough week at the ol' CVS.
  • The Mentalist
No Glade holders in my store but plenty of refills. I bought six refills. I used (2) coupons B2G1, and then I used (2) $1/2 refills. I had some other items as well and used $5 off 25 as well. The managers and some employees know me very well and they do not object to my transactions and sometimes even process them manually if they do not scan.

The Glade coupon combination above is legit and no employees should be making objections on that. If they do, you educate them. I listed how that works somewhere above in one of my posts.

Also, the deal that says coupons for $2 off on 2 refills in SS 9/25; I did not find those coupons in my SS but some others that expired in mid Oct. So, no I am not getting the exact deal as mentioned above.
  • kelli
I found 4 glass holders at each of the stores in my town. I bought 4 holders and 4 refills and used 4 free refill wyb a holder coupons and 4 $1.50 off coupons that I'd been holding onto from previous purchase of tins. So I spent $4 and got back $6.
  • MCH
Secret is 2/$5 at CVS and there is a buy 2, get one free coupon in the 11/1 P&G Saver, so that makes them 3/$5.
  • Julie
Is there still a quiz site available to earn a $5/$25 coupon? Or are they now unavailable? Thanks!
  • kelli
there are no coupons that I know of. the flu quiz stopped giving coupons about 2 weeks ago. :(
  • Desire'
I went Sat. night for last week's $10 ECB wyb $20 of cold/allergy products and the Softsoap deal (my CVS is not 24 hr). My coupons were for $2 off any Zicam and (2)$2 off Softsoap reusable pump or base. They were from tearpads at Walgreen's, so Walgreen's was printed on them, but were manuf. q's. Anyway, the cashier would not accept them b/c they said Walgreen's. I pointed out that the fine print read: Redeemable at Food, Drug, Discount, and other Stores accepting coupons. She asked the manager, still no deal. I ended up voiding the whole transaction and she returned my other coupons. The cashier and manager were very nice about the whole thing, but I was very disappointed. I had used similar coupons successfully before.
  • The Mentalist
If it scans on register, it is good to go. Have the cashier scan them and not make hi/her own judgment and decisions. Manufacturers spend million of dollars in these marketing for you to have the coupons, go to the store, and keep buying their product. Also, UPC would most likely be obvious to notice if it is only retailer specific or universal. The first UPC cluster codes, after 5 or 9, should match the UPC code on the manufacturer product to work universally.
  • Jennifer
I to have that Walgreens coupon. I would have tried it at CVS but forgot about it. I have used a coupon like that at CVS and nothing was said and it went through no problem. I also used the $2.00 off the Softsoap Walgreens tear pad at Target and didn't have any problems.
  • LD
If I have a coupon for glade, Buy candle holder get refill free and a coupon for, buy a free refill get a holder free , can I use these together , or would I have to buy more glade items in that transaction ?
  • Sean
    Tums printable here:

    https://www.tums.com/tums_onedollar2009.promo?s...

combined with store coupon makes $1 moneymaker
  • The Mentalist
ok! Start all over again! The Glade coupons are not showing up on RP online; I used different zipcodes suggested below and nothing as of today. Have they been taken off? Can we revise and confirm the new deal asap to see if we wanna go ahead with purchase this week? Thanks
  • LD
I tried looking them up with the zips I had printed out last week with Red Plum even expanding zip and could not find them . So for me they are gone too. I did find that $1 off Vanity fair paper item I saw and then forgot about [ I had wanted that one ]lol so thanks for getting me to check again . To bad on the glade one tho
  • Heather Dixey
On the glade deal can you use a $2/2 on soy candles from the fragrance collection in place of the $2/2 candle refills? Does anyone know if the fragrance collection is on sale for $2.50 like the refills?
  • The Mentalist
Fragrance Collection are more expensive per oz. 2 oz candle jar is 2.99 at CVS where I am. It is not on sale for now. Coupons you mentioned are not for any other type of Glade candles but for FC variety. However, they may scan for any Glade candles on register.
  • The Mentalist
*Correction.. $3.49 for 2 oz Glade FC at CVS, not 2.99 (that was some other store)
  • Sean
There was a $2 store coupon on softsoap ensembles pump or base in the Reinventing Beauty magazine. Although the wording says one coupon per customer, if you can use 2 with the $3 off base when you buy pump, it would bring the total down to $4.98 with 4 ecb back.
  • kelli
I've caught some kind of cold/flu, so I decided to make a trip to CVS to buy some of the meds that are on sale with ECBs this week. I had 2 more $5/$25 coupons that expired tonight so I ran over before my CVS closed tonight. My fiance and I both did a transaction because I decided if I was going to buy stuff, I wanted to stock up.

    we each boght:
1 Sudafed OM sinus congestion moisturizing nasal spray = $6.50
    1 Sudafed PE Triple Action = $6.50
    2 Tylenol cold multi-symptom = $6 each
    (total before coupons $25)
    - $5/$25
    - $2 off Sudafed PR Triple Action
    - $4 off Sudafed OM sinus congestion moisturizing nasal spray wyb any Sudafed product
    - $3/2 Tylenol sinus, cold, cough, or allergy product
    - $11 ECBs
    subtotal: 0, tax: 0, total: 0, total saved: $30.96

    I earned $10 ECBs
he earned $11, $1 for 4 scans of the green bag tag
  • Kelley
I can't find the softsoap free base coupon. I have the $3 off from SS 10/25, but I do not see the free base Q. Any ideas?
  • Deanna
When I went to CVS today there was a free base when you purchase the pump right on the base itself, a peelie.
  • kelli
I think that you got one of the other in your paper. I only have the $3 off.
  • Ashley
What print size would you use for the Neti Pot? My showed up at 165%. Thanks!
  • Bobbie
    Bham
  • Angela
The Plackers coupon is if you buy a qty. of 3....right? So not a very good deal!
  • The Mentalist
In NY area, it is also $1 for three. So it is not a good deal for us here. Such coupons are coded in such a way that it looks for that many item scans. So, $1 off 3 will give register error if it does not read 3 matched UPC scanned in the transaction.

I like to know the coding secret if anyone knows how that works. The first 5 shows it would double at scan, then the cluster of actual UPC for the items, and then I see another distant number that varies from 2, 3, 6 and on. It is that distant number that codes the number of items must be purchased for the coupon to work electronically.

Can someone decode that for us?
  • LD
Not sure they would like that posted on this site . As coupons are intended for what it says and the other would really be coupon fraud [ I think] there are other sites that do talk about this though try a google search
  • Jason
The value codes aren't exactly trade secrets, and of course to do anything nefarious with them you need to generate a barcode, make up a fake coupon, etc. -- and then you are quite obviously committing coupon fraud! There's really nothing shady about just knowing what they mean.
  • Jason
LD -- the new barcode already exists and has been on most manufacturer coupons for a while now. It's called the DataBar, and it encodes the expiration date and a lot of other info. It allows any amount up to $999.99 instead of pulling from a value table. It also allows much more complex promotions, and improved validation means faster checkout, since cashiers won't have to read expiration dates and such. And this is pretty exciting for those of us who only use valid coupons -- it is much harder to forge. One can only hope that as retailers adopt this new format, fraud will go down, and maybe some of them will relax their policies that have become so restrictive because of fraud.

I had never seen Jenny's thoughts on barcodes -- thanks for that. I do work for a retailer so I used some discretion and only posted a link to the value codes. The only use for consumers in decoding the rest is to buy items not intended by the manufacturer.

Also, the DataBar deadline has been pushed to January 1, 2011.
  • LD
  • LD
If you read the last two paragraphs that Jenny posted here in this post, you will see why I said, she may not want this stuff posted here [her site her right] . Also interesting piece of info in the last paragraph . So wonder what they will go to in 2010 ????
  • The Mentalist
He is right. This is only knowledge base-Nothing fraudulent about it. There is no way they match each and every coupon with actual item in transaction when it comes to reimbursement to the retailers. It wouldn't be sensible or cost effective. Retailers simply submit the coupons for reimbursement as they sell millions of the same items including where no coupons were used. What is fraud is actual making of a coupon print and/or retailers submitting the coupons that customers did not use in transactions.
  • LD
Wanted to add knwoing the codes is not coupon fraud but using then other than [quanity or another item] for what they state, is what I think would be considered fraud .
  • Jason
The coupon value codes (last 2 digits of the UPC before the check digit) are here: http://www.barcode-us.com/coupon/couponValueCha...

    Your $1/3 is 5 51080 71042 1. The $1/1 would be 5 51080 71076 6.
  • LD
On that coupon I did not even look at it close but used it and it went through and I only bought one. Either both the cashier and I made a mistake or ours were $1 on 1 . But either way I used it today . I hope I didnt use the coupon wrong ! ugg it did print my register reward too . Now my coupon was in the North Fl paper FL times union . not sure what the quantity off was for that paper but it was a $1 coupon .
  • suemac
North FL must have gotten the $1 off 1 'cause it was in my G'ville Sun as well.
  • LD
Thank you for posting this . Know it sounds weird but I was worrying about it not being $1/1. I would hate to get my favorite cashier at my cvs in any trouble or have the store think one more reason to hassle people over coupons !
  • Jason
It's unlikely it will ever get noticed, even if it was $1/3. They go to a clearinghouse for reimbursement and although the manufacturers say the store must be able to produce evidence that they ordered enough product to cover the coupons, I'm pretty sure they never do this unless there are a suspicious number of coupons; otherwise it would be a waste of their time.

I've actually gone back into the store (in that case Rite Aid) when I used a coupon incorrectly -- I used a store coupon good for 2 packs of GE light bulbs and I only bought one. But it scanned and I actually got money back on the one pack (there were other items on the receipt, so it wasn't a negative total). The cashier didn't see this as a problem.
  • Bobbie
The coupon in the Bhma area for the Plackers was for 3 also.
  • Marcia
I am frustrated after going to CVS!
For ECB Listerine needs to be a .5L and coupon is 1L.
For ECB Toothbrush is 2pk and coupon is a toothbrush - singular. They would not accept coupon even though I was buying more toothbrushes.
  • Michelle
You can still get the Glade coupons on their website if anyone can not find them on redplum!
  • Carrie
Thanks! I was able to print two when I "entered" the contest.
  • The Mentalist
I did not notice any coupon link anywhere on that website. Do you have the direct link? Tanks
  • Gerri
If I buy only 2 of the Pulsar toothbrushes and have 2 B1G1 coupons, can I use both of those coupons? I think the answer will be "no" because they won't let me get both free, but I thought I'd ask.
  • The Mentalist
First of all, you are not getting them "Free" from CVS. CVS is being paid by manufacturer. You are still paying for the item, just not in green currency. In Marketing tactics, they use "Buy 1 Get One Free" to lure you. The same coupon also states "one per purchase". Technically what that means is they want you to "buy two and get half off". Since, "FREE" is more luring and attractive, it becomes the face slogan. With that said, you can only use one of the same coupons because it is essentially 50% Off on TWO items together.

On a side note, you may use a different coupon that might let you use $1 off on one. In that case, you are actually buying the first item, B1G1 coupon kicks in for the second item. Since, you are technically "buying" the first item (for full price), you may use $ off coupon for that one in lie of green currency.

To make it simply, pick two of the same, use 1 B1G1, and use one $Off coupon if you have any. So you end up using two coupons on two items. It is perfectly legit. Do not let them tell you otherwise. Most employee are into thinking of "FRee", but nothing is free-you are still paying for them, just that manufacturer is pitching in.

(also, retailers get to make extra 8 cents per coupon for handling)
  • kelli
I'm pretty sure the answer is no. If the sale is buy one, get one free, you can use a coupon to get both items for free but you can't use 2 bogo coupons to get 2 items for free.
  • Katherine
I went to CVS Saturday night to catch the Sunday deals. I did ok, but 2 things didn't go as planned.

First - I purchased 2 Colgates and expected to get 2 ECBs. However, I only got 1 ECB because the deal last week was buy 2, get 1 ECB. Is there any way to get next week's deals on a Saturday if a similar deal is running from the week before?

Second - I had 2 $1 off Colgate coupons and 2 coupons from the CVS Flu book. However, I was only able to use 1 of the Flu book coupons. The cashier said it was because I was using manufs coupons and only bought 2 products. This has never happened to me before at CVS. Anyone have a similar experience?

    Thanks!
  • The Mentalist
The cashier reasoning is way off. Do not believe what they have to say. I have found a vast majority of them undeducated or not so smart. They alway come up with their own policies and limited understanding. I have educated a score of them on numerous occasions.

The respondent above is correct. I am using logic here:- The store coupon might even say one coupon per cust./trans. etc. Therefore, same type of coupons can not be stacked. The manufac. coupons usually scan through multiple times in same transaction even if they say one per cust./trans. in fine prints. The store coupons do not because their own coded coupons are synched with their own system efficiently. Whereas, the manufactuer coupons are not sophisticated enough to encrypt or code manufacturer coupons synched with each and every store own system. That is why, store coupons almost never go wrong, but manufacturer ones may scan even if "conditions" are not met.

Run the transactions separately. You can combine store and manufacturers coupons. That is because, store coupons are essentially telling you their new sale price. Whereas, manufacturer coupons have cash value being paid in lieu of green bills. Do not let them tell you otherwise.
  • Rebecca
Have you decided it's wise to use the store Q first or the manufacturers Q? Do you think it goes smoother one way or the other?
  • Sue
This is probably because you are not supposed to use 2 identical CVS coupons at the same time. It probably would have been okay if you did them in separate transactions.
  • Katherine
Thank you. That makes sense. Any thoughts on the shopping on a Saturday night ECB issue I raised?
  • Jason
The $3 Gillette coupon in today's paper is not valid for the sizes that are on sale. Only the 3-packs of Mach3 and Custom Plus3 are on sale. The $2 coupon should be fine.
  • Erica
For some reason the Glade holders only rang up as $0.99 for me last night, and I wasn't paying attention so it sort of messed up my deal.
  • LD
On my receipt it is showing I saved .99 cents on the holders but rang up as 2.50. On a side note it shows diff. amount for the refills that I saved ? even though they where the same refills lol . Double check your slip to see if it was price payed or saved amount on that .99
  • LD
Forgot to add if you havent done all the SJ Johnson $5 rebate yet this deal will get it for you .
  • LD
On the soft soap deal . I ended up just buying 2 of the base [soaps] and got the RR of $4 . I Used the printable $2 coupon [from there web site ecentives site] and the CVS $2 coupon from the beauty mag . So got it for free . I did them in seperate transactions though . So I could use 2 CVS coupons on the deal.

$2 ECB wyb Plackers Dental Flossers 90 ct. at $2.99 Limit 1
-$1 off Plackers Flossers RP 11/1 (makes it free)

I am not seeing the Plackers coupon on the weekly inserts list. Can someone help me find it?
    Thanks
  • The Mentalist
Ok.. This is my understanding. RP/SS is sometimes missing few coupons from one paper to another. I received RP at home delivery in weekly fliers. The Placker coupons was not there. I then checked RP inserts in newspapers, it was there and the rest of the coupons were identical. (The plackers I have is $1/3). From my experience, I have found that some coupons are missing from RP, SS booklet in one newspaper, but included in inserts in another newspaper. So, you may wanna check inserts from multiple newspapers in your area. However, the difference is hardly a coupon or two from one newspaper to another.
  • suemac
I got the $1 off 1 coupon in the Gainesville Sun, so it's out there.

I have the Plackers coupon - she has them listed as FREE after coupon, my coupon shows 1.00 off of 3 of them. Not 1.00 off 1.
  • crystal
    Same here.
  • Marby
Where did you see that the iTunes gift cards yeild $10 ECB? I can't find it in the ad.
  • Marby
NEVERMIND!!! Its been one of those mornings.
  • Debra
Question? Can you use a blinkie at CVS, I found a glade coupon yesterday for glade products at Krogers that I hope I can use today.
  • Sue
As long as it is a mfg Q, you should be able to.
  • kelli
they have blinkies at my CVS (not the Glade ones, but others), so I'd say yes
  • kelli
I used 4 today with no problem
  • Rebecca
I used one yesterday at mine (I picked up the blinkie at publix)!
  • Kim
-$3 Mail in Rebate for Sinus Rinse Kit if purchased on 10/31 (limit 3 rebates)

It now shows Offer Expires Nov. 30,2009!
  • Jennifer
It looks to me like the Ice Age Coupon is for the first two movies only, and the deal is for the third movie, Dawn of the Dinosaurs. Can someone verify whether the coupon can be used for the new movie?
  • Beckie
I was able to use the coupon on the Dawn of the Dinosaurs this past Thursday at the CVS on Jesse Jewel in Gainesville. It went through with no problems.
  • Jennifer
    That's great, thanks!

To Ann - I guess I'll be going to CVS tomorrow, then!
  • Ann
I can't read the fine print on mine, just give it a try, all they can say is no. The other problem with the coupon, though, is that it expires 11/1/09.
  • Kimberly
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up - if you are planning to do the Glade Candle deal, CVS seems to have a very limited supply. I went to both of my stores tonight, and one store only had one candle holder in stock and the other only had four candle holders. Plenty of the refill candles though. Just wanted to give you a heads up in case you want to have a back-up scenario when you head out.
  • marina
my cvs has the pulsar toothbrushes for 5.99 not 2.69.
They actually didn't have any toothbrushes for 2.69. I asked the cashier about it and she didn't know how to answer me
  • Cori
You are right the Pulsars are $5.99. The ones that are $2.69 are the oral B toothbrushes - regular type. They are also included in the ECB deal, but the pricing for this deal is a little askew. Still though if you buy two pulsars at $5.99, use a BOGO Q, you are getting 2 for $5.99, then use the -.75 Q, that is $5.24 for both and then you get $5.00 ECB back. That makes them .24 each.
  • Amanda
I cannot find the Olay B1G1 in my November Better Homes and Gardens. Any help?
  • Catherine
I looked through the November BHG that I received in the mail and did not find that coupon either. Maybe it was from a different edition that runs on newsstands rather than subscription?
  • Jenni
I haven't done CVS before. I had two transfer coupons get $25 gift card. So I did that and figured it would be a great time to try it. Thanks for all the info on how to get ahead with the ECB.
    I have a question though.
For the cold remedy deal, I thought it was finally time to attempt the neti pot. You list a $3 coupon as well as a $3 rebate. When sharing the deal idea, you don't mention the rebate. Can you not get the rebate when you do this deal?
  • Sarah
can you tell me where you found a coupon that gave you a 25 gift card for transfering a prescription? i looked everywhere today and couldnt find any. this may sound stupid, but you get a gift card for transferring the script or for filling it once you have transferred it. I have a prescription i could transfer but I dont need it filled yet, would i still get the gift card? thanks!
  • Colleen
If it's a mail in rebate, you should be able to do both...if you're sending in the receipt for the rebate, they just want to see that you bought their product. They're going to se checking to see if you also used a coupon...so I say you'll be fine. And what do you have to lose? If they somehow deem it invalid, they just won't send the rebate. Good luck! :)
  • Jenni
well I looked again and saw the 10/31 date. I couldn't get the link to work for the coupon so I had to manually type it in and got it fine. Just for kicks I typed in the one for the rebate as well (couldn't get that link to work either). The date on the rebate now shows November 30.
  • DeeW
Need help with using the Oral B B1G1 coupon exp 10-31 but the CVS offer begins 11-1 ? Listed it says to go in Saturday night? will they honor this and if they do not do I have any way to dispute this?
  • Cori
My CVS takes expired coupons during the week they expire. They turn their coupons in once a week at the end of the week, so if they are expired during the week before they turn them in, they take them. Also most CVS's start their Sunday sale on Saturday after 6 pm. The one I go to is not a 24 hour and they honor their Sunday sales on Saturday starting at noon.
  • I'm new at this so bear with me: How are you able to print up 6 of the 'printable' Glade coupons in order to do the suggested 'deal'? I can only print up one and then it tells me I've hit my limit. Is there a trick?
  • RM
you can print 2 coupons per computer so if you have 3 computers you can print 6 coupons HTH

Also open your boxes or cans of Glade (the ones you have at home of course) they have coupons in them! HTH
  • Sue
You can normally print a second coupon by hitting your back button 3 times. You can do this on each computer that you have access to to print 2 Q's from each.
  • jennifer
I have this same problem, but there is a blinkie at publix with buy a holder get a refill free. check there...
  • Carrie R
I found them at my Publix! Thanks for the tip.
  • Sue
Depending on what coupons I had and how many of them, I would start with the Glade, doing it 2 or three times in one transaction. This way you would get back up to 3 $3 ECB's. These could then be used together or separately. And there are lots of good coupons for the glade. You could also add the toothpaste with coupons to get another $1 ECB
  • Lizabeth
Any help on this would be appreciated..I am in the Cleveland TN area. I just made my 1st trip to cvs for the DOVE deal.
    I bought:

    1 shampoo $4
    1 conditioner $4
    1 body wash $7
    2 deoderants@ 3.5

    Total= 22
    I used
a $4 off 20(which the cashier argued and said that I could not use it before man qs but finally did)
    2 $2 off
    1 $1 off
    1 $1.25 off
    1 1.50 off
My total came up as I expected, but I only got 2ECBs back.
    WHAT DID I DO WRONG???
  • kelli
only getting $2 doesn't make any sense at all. I would call the number on the back of you card with your receipt in hand and try to figure out what's going on. They should be able to help you out.
  • I would definitely contest that. This week I ran a similar transaction for the $10 ECB deal (when you buy $20 in participating DOVE products) - 2 shampoos, 2 conditioners, 1 6 pack bar of soap. Used $4 off $20 store coupon + two $1 coupons, two $1.25 coupons and one $1.50 coupon (or something like that). Anyway, I got my $10 ECB! Even though I spent more than I REALLY wanted to... So definitely contest. If you purchased participating products you should have gotten $10 ECB.
  • Susan
Did you question the cashier or a manager as to why the $10 EB did not print? And, are you certain you purchased the correct products needed for the EB's?
  • marina
I'm guessing you were trying to do the $5 ECB wyb $14 of olay products?
If so, the deodorants are not part of that deal. So you should have bought another body wash or lotion to meet your $14. Hope that helps.
  • Sue
What kind of deodarants did you buy?
  • Heather
Maybe I am missing something but the coupons I have for the free refill packs, and the $2 of 2 glade candles both expire on 10/31. How are you supposed to use the B2G1 Coupon if it doesn't come out until 11/1??

    Thanks in advance for help!

    Buy:
    (6) Refills $2.50 ea
    (6) Holders
    Use:
    (6) Free Holders printable
    (2) B2G1 Refills coupons SS 11/1
    (2) -$2/2 Candles Refills SS 9/20
    Total Due: $6
Get Back: $9 ECB, you make $3!
  • Amelia
They were also available in the SC books in the Supermarkets a few weeks ago.
  • Emily
A lot of people buy the early Sunday edition to get coupons on Satudays...HTH
  • Anyone have a good "starter" Scenario? I used up my ECBs last week.
  • Sue
Depending on what coupons I had and how many of them, I would start with the Glade, doing it 2 or three times in one transaction. This way you would get back up to 3 $3 ECB’s. These could then be used together or separately. And there are lots of good coupons for the glade. You could also add the toothpaste with coupons to get another $1 ECB. Smaller ECB's are more versatile
  • Rhonda
? on the glade deal. is the limit of 3 that you can only buy 3 2.50 items. or can you get the $3 ecb's 3 times?
  • Sue
You can get the $3 ecb"s 3 times!
  • bridget
Any idea how much the Olay Pro X costs? Will it be a good deal with the $10 vocalpoints q and the ECBs?
  • kelli
    it's $47+ on the cvs.com
  • Rebecca
Duraflame coupons were $3 off, not $12/2. Did I do something wrong?
  • gjn
when I printed mine, you could choose which Q you wanted from Dura-Flame. Maybe they have allowed all of the $12/2 Q prints that they plan to.
  • Sue
There is a $2 off Glade warmer in the recent SC Johnson Booklet I picked up in the grocery store a few weeks back. I have 4 of them.

    Buy 4 warmers @ 2.50 each
    Buy 4 refills @ 2.50 each
    Use 4 $2 off warmers
    Use 4 Free refills printables
    Total due: $2
    Get back $6 ecb's = $4 profit!!

Need to find a way to get the deal the 3rd time.
  • kim
Am I correct in understanding that the store accepted the $2 warmer coupon for the candle holder? Aren't these 2 different products?
  • Heather
Sue where did you find the SC Johnson Booklet? Thanks!!
  • Amelia
They were in Lowes Foods about 2 months ago. It is better for the target deal....

Buy 5 Christmas scents get a 5 dollar gift card:
    2 $2 off candle holder
2 buy a candle holder get a refill free
1 buy 2 refills get one free....I spent 1 dollar and got 5 dollars back. There is unlimited time you can do this; however, Taget is having trouble keeping it in stock.
  • Redding
Where is that Target - Glade Christmas Scents deal advertised? I tried to find it in the Target ads the last couple weeks and on the target website but no luck. Just want to make sure I know exactly what Qs I need before I try to get the deal.
  • Sue
Too bad I would have to drive 45 miles to get to a Target!
  • Sue
This coupon is also in the November 29 issue of Family Circle.
  • Sue
There is also a $1.50 off 1 Glade scented Oil Candle Holder coupon in the November 17 issue of Woman's Day.
  • Sue
I've had it for a few weeks. I picked it up from a display in Bi-Lo. I think that it was the week that they had the Spray & Wash Bright & White B1G1, because I can remember it being in front of it.
  • Michelle
    Jenny,

There's a $2 CVS coupon in the Reinventing Beauty magazine for Softsoap Ensembles Hand Soap Reusable Pump or Disposable Base. Won't that work well in the Softsoap deal? Will we be able to use 2 coupons (one for the base and one for the refill)?

The AJC didn't get the $3 manufacturer coupon, so if we use the Free refill coupon from the AJC and two of the $2 CVS coupons, that would still make everything free, right?

    Thank you!
  • Amelia
I have used 2 different barcode CVS coupons for the same item in a transaction.
  • Samantha White
    What or who is AJC?
  • Rebecca
Sorry! We know what it is because we live here. It's the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, our Atlanta newspaper.
  • gjn
    Atlanta Journal Constitution newspaper :)
  • kelli
I think that technically you can only use 1 of the CVS coupons at a time. I don't know for sure because my store doesn't have those magazines, but usually they say "one per costumer" or something like that. A cashier may or may not push them through if you try to use more than one.
  • Rebecca
I think so, too! Thanks for the tip.
  • Stacey
THE CVS FLU BOOKLET HAS $1 OFF Q FOR COLGATE TOTAL SO COMBINED WITH MANU. Q WOULD MAKE IT FREE.
  • Donna
I can't get the Honey Bunches of Oats coupon to print. Then when I try to go in and re-do it, the website tells me I already hit my limit. Is this just my printer or is it an Internet Explorer problem? Anyone else have this happen?
  • The Mentalist
That is because, you may have pop-up blocker and you did not allow an "Run on" or kind of add-on to get the coupon printed. They sometimes use encrypted coupon software and not a franme picture to avoid duplicate printing. Although, you may have had a failure of processing the coupon on ur screen and then on your printer, the system has already registered your ISP address as having printed the coupon.

You may email OR CALL them and let them know the problem, they should send you a coupon by mail or via email or comething. Alternatiavely, you may need to use a different computer that has not registered on their system in terms of this coupon promotion.

(sometimes, I wonder why they set the limit of printing coupons when anyone can simply make exact copies anyway)
  • kim
I have had the same problem you describe and have tried several times.
  • Marylee
I have a question about the CVS #1 deal. Why would you ask the cashier to process the $10 ECB as 9.99?
  • Michelle
    Marylee,

The computer won't take the Extra Bucks coupon for more than your subtotal, so the cashier will have to put it in manually for $9.99. You would lose 1 penny of your Extra Bucks. Does that make sense?
  • kelli
I've found that something the register will give you a negative subtotal. I have no idea when/why this happens. I've been over by 1 cent before and had to have it adjusted down and I've also been over by 74 cents (one of my items was on sale but wasn't marked, so I calculated wrong) and gotten a negative 74 cent subtotal.
  • LD
Help I cant seem to find the coupon for the glade (6) Free Holders printable
all I am getting in any zip code I try is the but a holder get refill pack free . anyone with zip or a different link please ?
  • Sue
That's what I got, too, but it really doesn't matter since they are each $2.50.
  • maggie
When did you guys get the $10 olay pro x coupon? I am also a member of vocal point but still not getting it. I really want to buy some pro x products for my mom! Thanks!
  • kelli
They came with a free sample. it was one of the samples that you had to sign up for, not one of the things that they randomly send you. I got mine in the mail on Wednesday.
  • Kim
Does anyone know any prices on the pro x stuff?
  • meg
They were all $47 before the $5 ECB's at my store.
  • maggie
Thank you for every one trying to help. Yes I did signed up for the Olay pro x, hopefully i can get it soon!
  • debbie
maggie - I received my sample and 5 or 6 of the $10 coupons. I'm not going to use them and I still have them. If you want to email me - I'll mail you a few. dharmadow@yahoo.com Debbie
  • Stacey
I got mine yesterday in the mail. It was a nice size sample and (5) $10 off q's.
  • Denise.
Did you request a sample for the Olay Pro x? The coupons came with the requested sample.
  • Amanda K
    Maggie,

I just got mine in the mail 2 days ago.
  • Sue
If you go to this link, you can print coupons for $2 off Softsoap. Appears to be good for base or pump. If this does not come up as a link, you can highlight it, right click, and then "search the web" or copy & paste it into your browser.

I had posted this at the bottom guess I forgot to hit reply but I did just do the deal by , buying 2 bases . I used a $2 cvs coupon and the $2 printable you had posted . I did them in sperate transactions. so got the 3.99 bases for free and the $4 rr . I wish they would give away the pumps . LOL
  • The Mentalist
Where do you get CVS coupons? A booklet at stores? I did not see any nor the employees knew about it
  • sue
They are in the Reinventing Beauty Magazine.
  • Sue
There was also a CVS coupon in the last issue of Reinventing Beauty Magazine for $2 off base or pump.
  • heather
Would the coupon from the reinventing magazine be considered a store coupon or a mani coupon? It doesn't say manufactorer coupon so just wondering.
  • Sue
It is a store coupon. Mfr Q's start with 5 or 9.
  • Sue
I also have a $4 rebate form that I got from a tearpad a while back. Get $4 rebate when you buy 2.
  • Alissa
My CVS will not allow me to use a B1G1 and a $$$ coupon on two items. Example the Glade deal this week:

    Buy:
    (6) Refills $2.50 ea
    (6) Holders
    Use:
    (6) Free Holders printable
    (2) B2G1 Refills coupons SS 11/1
    (2) -$2/2 Candles Refills SS 9/20
    Total Due: $6
Get Back: $9 ECB, you make $3!

I will only be able to use the 6 B1G1 nothing else. Anyone else have this problem?
  • Kari
My CVS would only let me use the B1G1 today too...no extra coupons allowed.
  • Jenny W.
Same here...I got rebuffed at one CVS and am too timid to try again at another now.

However, i still think it would be a good deal if you use a $5 off $30 purchase coupon and the 6 free refill coupons...brings it down to $10 which isn't bad considering you'd get $9 ECB's...I'm thinking Holiday Basket Fillers!

I don't know if any of my local CVS's start their sales Saturday night or not, though...guess I'll have to call and find out!

    Good luck!
  • aimee
My B1G1 coupon for Oral-B Pulsar manual toothbrush says: limit one coupon per purchase. Will they honor two in one transaction as stated in the plan? Thanks
  • Jenny
limit one per purchase really means one per item purchased. It is said limit one per customer, transaction, household etc. then you would only be able to use one.

    HTH
  • Val
If anyone has a good deal worked up for doing the Ice Age deal, I would like to know. My son would love it if I came home with that movie.
  • Ann
The Ice Age DVD is 16.99 this week (ends 10/31). I plan on buying $22 in coke products, getting $15 toward the DVD, using my $2 coupon tomorrow night and the DVD should be free. You get the DVD and the coke for $22, not bad. Now, I just hope the scenerio works, I've never shopped on Saturday night for both weeks sales.
  • Jennifer
How did you get the $2 off coupon?? I couldn't find it. What Zipcode did you use...?
    Thanks so much!
  • Val
Just got back from CVS and the Ice Age deal is not good til Sunday. Bummer! :( But I will go back tomorrow.
  • Val
I almost forgot that the ad says the DVD is available Nov. 1st which means I would shop Sunday and my coupons would be expired. I don't know why they are saying it is available then when everyone else released it last tuesday.
  • You can shop late Saturday night if you have a 24 hour CVS and the deals are available from the week before and the next week all in one visit. I think Jenny has mentioned this before on another post. I haven't tried it because our CVS isn't 24 hours. :(
  • Angela
My CVS isn't 24 hours either, but they always have the new sale running by 6 pm. the Saturday before the new week. Something to think about, getting both weeks deals at the same time.
  • It's the other way around Candi. I worked for CVS for almost 16 years. If your store is a 24 hour store, you can NOT get the deals early. It's the stores that are NOT 24 hour stores that activate their ad early. At the 24 hour stores, the ad activates at midnight so you can't shop the deals for both ads at those stores. If the store is NOT a 24 hour store, they are supposed to activate the ad at 6 pm and no earlier (some of them may fudge on this considering it's manager's discretion).
    Just thought I'd clarify.

    Rita
  • moon_goddess
Each store is different. I just called my store and the cashier said the new add is already activated, and it is only Friday. I would suggest calling your store. You may be pleasantly surprised! I know I was! ;-)
  • Val
My CVS is not a 24 hour one, but I have been able to get the Sunday deals the day before. My concern is if I go in on Saturday to use my candy coupons before they expire, they wont have the DVD out because the ad (I looked at the scan Jenny posted) list it as being available Sunday Nov. 1st and by then my coupons are no good.
  • Rebecca
I thought you could get the deal for the movie, then get the movie later (as long as you've bought everything for the deal beforehand). It'll say at the bottom of your receipt earned/unredeemed. However, I DID see a great coupon in Parade for $3.50 off candy wyb Ice Age.
  • Val
Whenever I have shopped at my CVS on Saturday, I usually see the prices up at about 4, but you should check with your store.
  • Gina
what time sat night should i be able to get these deals? will 5 oclock work?
  • Christin
I cant find the q for the free candle holder
  • Susan
Try using zip code 90210, and expanding the miles to a 50 mile search area. That's what I had to do.
  • Carrie R
Couldn't find it either, even using your search suggestion. Anybody else having any luck?
  • Trisha
I couldnt finsh the glad coupon either any help would be great!
  • Carrie R
Someone else told me about a blinkie at Publix. I got four extra copupons there! But its buy the base and get the refill for free. Since they are the same price, its the same difference!
  • lindsay
isn't that glade coupon buy a scented candle holder get refill for free? it is listed the other way around here.
  • Tara
The coupons I am seeing say Buy the holder GET the refills free. I can't see how this deal is going to work either...
  • Ashley
If you did the Glucose Meter last week can you do it again this week?
  • The Mentalist
Always! Each week ushers in new savings. So, when you see a "limit 1 or 2...." for any ECB, it is only for that week for that xtracare card. The new week begings, and the cycle starts over again. It is all marketing. They want you to keep buying.
  • kim
Yes. I did this deal last week and again this morning and got the EB both times.
  • Christy
what kind of filler items are you finding that are 5 and 12 cents? I can't find anything under 50 cents.
  • There are usually caramels at the counter for $0.33 at my CVS - maybe there's some other small candies?
  • Check the Halloween clearance for cheap fillers like pencils and candy.
  • Heather
What zip are you using to print the free bases on the glade deal? The coupons do not show for my zip code.
  • Jenny
    30003 worked for me
  • Stephanie
This is bringing up free refills, not base.
