These deals start Wednesday 10/28 or Thursday 10/29 in Publix stores.  This is a great week thanks to an in ad coupon for $4 off 4 General Mills products.  I have tried to give you some ideas at the bottom of the list.  Overage on a store coupon is going to be up to your individual store, as is the interpretation of this coupon.

Possible Deals

  • I’m listing these deals because if I don’t it won’t stop you from still thinking of them.  Please know, it was not the intention of Publix to leave out the word “Cereal” from the coupon.  They really have no desire to just hand out tons of free general mills products.  Many stores will probably decide to only honor this for cereal because that was the intention. It really is a typo and we should allow them to alter the deal if needed.  My heart goes out to Publix on this one…

  1. Bonnie in ATL says:

How do you do it??? Love you Jenny!

  2. Lisa says:

Where do you find the Ad Store coupon that you keep referring to for $4/4 General Mills? There wasn’t a Publix ad in last Sunday’s paper. Is it in the store or only in certain areas?

    • Tarrah R. says:

It will most likely be the ad you can pick up in the store. Sometimes, the ad in that paper isn’t a full one, or doesn’t have coupons.

      • Sarah Beth says:

Usually if you go to Publix.com and view your local ad you can print the in-ad coupons. Good luck!

        • Brandi says:

They seem to have removed it from their online ad…

          • Hsv mom says:

The coupon will be in the ad that comes out in todays (Wednesday) paper or will be available in the store. You can go to the Publix site, go to the weekly ad, enter zip 35802, then go to page 10. Click on the coupon and it will put a window up to print the coupon. Hope that helps.

    • Becky says:

Jenny is referring to the NEW weekly ad that is coming out 10/29 (or 10/28). You will find it in the store, or in your mail.

    • This ad starts today/tomorrow so it will be in the store and in the Nov. 1st, Sunday paper.

      • Michelle says:

I printed the coupon from the internet because I didn’t get my full ad this weekend - the cashier was so rude saying “where did you get this, is it a copy?” She rang it up but then tore the coupon out of an ad she had at the register and threw mine away.

  3. Amy T says:

Wow! I can’t believe I’ve already got my list and coupons! Thank you!

  4. Stephanie says:

I believe there are Target q’s for Breyer’s ice cream out now too!

  5. Karen says:

  6. Aymie says:

Wanted to add that Gain is on sale $9.99 for the 100 oz. bottle. There was a $2 coupon that came in the mail, and also a $1.25 coupon for Save a lot and $.75 for Target!

    • Aymie says:

There is also a $1 off Jimmy Dean any frozen breakfast Target coupon!! If your store accepts Target, they will be free!

  7. Heather says:

I have a question about the Emerald Nuts. I don’t understand the calculation to make it 19¢. Can anyone help me with this?

Emerald Deluxe Mixed Nuts, Almonds or Cashews, 10-11oz., at $5.79 ($2.89)

    Thank you!

  8. Stephanie says:

  9. Jennifer says:

Thanks so much, Jenny! I was fortunate enough to attend your workshop in Greenville last week - Thank you for all that you do!!

  10. Bill says:

How do you know the intention with the general mills coupon? Not disagreeing, just wondering.

    • Jenny says:

I had a long conversation with the store manager closest to me, who is having a long conversation with the district offices trying to figure out what can be done.

I should have an update by the end of tomorrow on the plan that they are taking.

  11. Katie-Pensacola,FL says:

THANKS JENNY-What a woman you are to help all of us out here trying to make the most of our budgets. I have just discovered you over the last few weeks and only have Walgreens, CVS and Publix in my area-already I have saved enough for a tank of gas. God’s richest blessings on you for all of your efforts to help us all save money any way we can. Your work does not go unappreciated by this FL girl.

  12. Tarrah R. says:

Anyone having trouble getting the Emerald Nut coupon?

    • suemac says:

I’m getting a Pop-Secret coupon at that site now. :-(

    • Jenny says:

I put in a new link. Try it now.

      • Tarrah R. says:

Stinky! I missed it! It says reached the maximum for the day- does that mean it will re-set at midnight?

        • Jennifer says:

You can try it again later or if you have another computer try it. If you’ve printed it twice from your computer, U think that message is their polite way of saying you can’t print it again. I printed it from my desktop computer, got that message for several days and happened to try to access using my laptop and it printed fine. Good Luck getting it to print.

          Best,

          Jennifer

          • Tarrah R. says:

Thank you, Jennifer- I will try my laptop. If this was a printable available last sale, I probably did print the max allowed- my husband could eat a can a day if I bought enough! LOL

    • providence says:

When it says the print limit has been reached for the day it gives you an area to send the coupon to a friend…send it to your e-mail instead and when it comes to your inbox open the link from inside your email message. Worked for me at least twice on popcorn and the nuts! I thought why not try it and it worked!

  13. Michelle says:

Does the wording on the General Mills coupon indicate how many we can use? In other words, will we be allowed to use more than one coupon per transaction?

    Thank you!!

  14. Heather says:

Can anyone help me find the Carl Buddig coupon? I don’t have it in my zip. Thanks!!

  15. jmd says:

General mills coupon states 5oz pkg or larger- not sure how all the products above would fit that desciption. Still unsure after reading the coupon several times if we can use multiples of these coupons per transaction or not. What is everyone else thinking??

  16. there are target coupons for any betty crocker product 50 cents off

  17. Momof2 (Greer, SC) says:

I am so glad that bleach is on sale again. I have been waiting for this & was down to my last gallon. I have a 50 cent off 1 gallon q from FL that I found a couple of weeks ago so I will pair 2 of those with my 50 cent off 2 manu q & be able to walk away with 2 gallons for $1.32 or should I say 4 gallons @ $2.64 since I have 2 manu q’s & 4 FL coupons.

  18. Lisa says:

Is the deoderant on sale “Degree” or “Dove”? Item list says “Degree,” but coupon matchup says “Dove.” Thanks!

  19. Damien says:

Can the $4 off wyb 4 Q be used with Nature Valley Granola Bars for sure??? That is what I wanted to use the Q for anyway… it’s a cereal bar of sorts.

    • Jenny says:

Definitely for that. The Bars and the General Mills Cereals are the intended promotion.

      • Damien says:

Awesome!!! I love their sweet and salty granola bars (couponing got me hooked on them) and I was so excited when I saw them on display tonight at Publix because I was hoping they would be B1G1 next week (at least knew they would be on sale) and I always know where I can get Manu Qs for them… and then that $4 of 4 Q made me happy (despite them not being B1G1 this week). These will definitely be on my list this week! Looks like a pretty decent week to me.

P.S. I saved 72% at Publix tonight… my highest yet! $43.65 worth of food, laundry detergent and paper plates for $12.22!!!

  20. Nathalie says:

Thought I’d let you know that there are/were $1 Pepsi peelies on one 12-pack or two (2) two-liters of Sierra Mist, Mug, or Tropicana juice drink. The peelies are square and have a bright yellow border.

  21. Meredith says:

There is a .50 coupon for clorox in the publix one stop one store coupon booklet from publix
    expires on 10/31

  22. FrugalMama001 says:

My Publix in Mauldin, SC is no longer accepting Target coupons. The manager told me that they gave all customers a one month notice concerning this new policy and are ONLY accepting traditional grocery store coupons. He also stated that the policy was changed due to the fact that some customers were using CVS, Rite-Aid, and various other competitor coupons. I was disappointed to see this but I do sympathize with them, because I know Publix has the best customer service of any grocery store out there!

    • Amy says:

I was told the same thing both the Harbison & North Lake Dr. stores (Columbia,SC) last week.:(

    • Ann says:

My Publix said they will not accept Target coupons either; that it must be a traditional grocery store. However, I reminded them that the Super Target stores DO have a grocery store so if you have one of those in your area, it may be worth your while to pursue that with your Publix store. Additionally, Publix said they still honor Wal-Mart coupons because Wal-Mart has a grocery store. I agree, Publix is a great store with great products and super customer service.

      Good luck!

      • KK says:

I know what you mean. I work at Publix, and what I have been told [though no one really follows it] is that we only take target coupons for grocery items. Like the ones you print that says SUPERTARGET WEB COUPON on the top as opposed to TARGET WEB COUPON. HTH :]

    • Kim says:

If CVS and Rite Aid sell food, then they are a competitor. I’m sad that that is his reason for no longer accepting Target coupons. I DO love Publix and they ARE awesome…even on the days I have NO coupons!

      • Amy B. says:

Not necessarily. Drugstores make 80-95% of their profit from surprise - drugs. They can afford to offer very low price deals on some grocery & toiletry items just to get you in the door. Grocery stores make most of their profits from groceries. Not only that, but you can’t replace most of what you could buy from a grocery store at a drug store. Publix doesn’t have to fear that if they don’t match Rite Aid or CVS deals that you’ll just take all your business there because they don’t sell much of what families need. Same for Target really, unless its a super target.

    • Kenneth says:

Have you noticed how “Anti-couponer” Mauldin Publix has became? They got a new manager I believe, or something has changed… but everything I take in there gets scrutinized, and they seem to want to make you feel like you’re cheating them in some way. I’m sticking to Woodruff Rd when I can help it. I heard Simpsonville is good too.

  23. mel says:

You are the bomb.com!!!!!! Love you Jenny!!

  24. Jennifer says:

I would like to try the Jimmy Dean bowels or entrees. Any recommendations? I am fearful of frozen breakfast food, but this is a good time to try.

And Thanks for this great website. Just moved to FL a few months ago and you have saved me a lot of money and time.

  25. Kim says:

Wow, I hope Publix doesn’t lose a ton of money over that coupon. They are probably working from their end to minimize the damage. I will ask my Publix’s manager this morning to confirm it was a typo. If it was, I will use it only in the way Publix intended. They have been good to me; I will be good to them. I hate it when my mistakes are exploited for another’s gain. Why would I do that to the best grocery store in town?

    • Joy says:

These are my thoughts as well. No need to unfairly gain from an honest mistake by Publix. I will check my my store and see what they are wanting to do.

      • Jodi says:

I agree. I had never shopped at Publix before thinking that they were always too expensive. But, after finding this site, I was so wrong. Publix is great. I love the fact that everyone who works there seems very upbeat, I have had very little problems there at all with coupons.

I will only shop the sale for which they intended.

      • becki says:

i soooo agree with you ladies!! i too would NEVER shop at publix until i found southernsavers. there are enough great deals to had out there without taking advantage of such a great company. great places like publix arent going to be so friendly and service minded if we abuse them! i want them to keep giving us great deals so i too will respect the coupon and talk with my manager. i hope everyone else will do the same!

      • michal says:

the bryers ice creem wili make even better deal with 1.5$ off 2 icecreems from target - was at our sundayes paper in alpharetta erea.

      • Shannon says:

I agree as well. I didn’t shop at Publix prior to finding this site, now it is one of my favorite stores. I don’t want to abuse any sale they have. I don’t feel they should suffer because of a typo.

    • Anne says:

I agree, more than likely after a few days they will discover the misprint and might even put out a sign announcing it is for cereal only, but you never know. I will ask the manager before I do my rounds and if she says ok then I’ll go for it, otherwise I will only use it for cereal, which I need anyways and this does make it a good deal. I hate to take advantage of them, especially when they see me there every week, I pride myself on being an honest couponer.

    • Margie says:

I agree completely! My Publix is so good to me, I would never take advantage. I can only hope that enough of us feel the same so Publix doesn’t suffer.

      • lisaallynn says:

I will also use the coupon as they intended it to be used. I love taking advantage of good deals and all of their great sales. I really do hope that the majority of shoppers feel this way. They have been very good to me, even IF they will not except a coupon for whatever reason, they don’t make you feel like a jerk about it like Kroger has to me. I do wish they would take target coupons however! LOL.

        • Vicki says:

How refreshing to see that there are people that would not take advantage of a mistake! It makes my heart happy! :)

    • Alena says:

My Publix in Woodstock, GA is great, and I stoped by the Customer Service desk today to ask about 4 off 4 General mills and manager confirmed that its on ANY General Mills, so I used it and didn’t pay a penny today =)

  26. Tabetha says:

There is also a Target coupon for $1 off 2 General Mills Cereals

    • Melinda says:

The Publix on Washington Road in Augusta would not let us use Target coupons today. They said only grocery stores. Augusta Target has grocery area. The cashiers were so rude as well and put out by coupons and we did not even take advantage of the deal. I think I will stick to shopping at the Twelve Oaks Publix in Savannah as the cashiers are so much nicer and they actually take competitors coupons as advertised.

  27. Val says:

Just wondering if the $4 off 4 can be for ANY 4? I could buy one Pillsbury Cookie, one Green Giant Vegetables, one Betty Crocker Frosting and one Muir Glen Pasta Sauce. Does anyone know if this is okay or if they all have to be the same product? I would like a variety of items and not just the same thing.

    • Traci M. says:

      Val,

I would talk to the Store Manager or C/S manager and see what they say about what you could purchase…..but then again, they might not know all the details of the coupon since Publix did have a typo….they really should post a disclaimer at the registers that it was a typo !

    • Denise. says:

I just bought 2 Pillsbury Cookies and 2 Nature Valley Granola boxes and I had no trouble using the $4 q. The cashier is usually in Customer Service, so I asked her and she said as long as it’s General Mills you can use it. Lexington, SC. Hope this helps!

      • Lana says:

Duncan SC store-they are taking the $4/4 Gen Mills/Nature Valley coupon on GM cereals, Nature Valley Products, Pillsbury refrigerated cookie dough and Pillsbury refrigerated biscuits. Also no more Target competitors coupons.

  28. Erin says:

    Jenny,

Can you repost the link for the Betty Crocker Frosting? Mine is not showing up as a link.

  29. Sarah says:

Jenny, is there a limit on the number I can print of one printable coupon? For example, if I want to buy 4 bags of Green Giant frozen vegetables, can I print four of the coupon that you have linked in the weekly ad? Thanks!

    • Jenn says:

Most prints will only allow 1 or 2 at a time, but if you have more than one computer, you are allowed 2 per computer. HTH

  30. Megan says:

Can anyone get the Kibbles N Bits coupon to work?

  31. Teresa says:

Jenny, thanks for all of your hardwork. I’m enjoying the experience
    (and savings).

  32. Anita says:

At the top of the page you said that #1 and #5 do not apply in FL and coastal Ga. I live in Brunswick, Geaorgia and we do not have to buy two items to get the sale price and they do double coupons up to 50 cents.Just thought I would let others know who live in my area. Thanks for all of the GREAT information!!

  33. Melissa S. says:

I was in Publix in Anderson on Hwy 81 day before yesterday and they would not let me use my Target coupons. They told me they do take competitors coupons, however, they do not consider Target, or places like Walgreens (which they consider pharmacies), to be their competitors.

  34. Stacey says:

I’m hoping to see a “get a free bag when you buy___” promotion because I’m loving the Christmas bags that are out!

  35. Sarah says:

Went to my publix this am 4 off coupon is only being accepted off cereal and marked nature valley products. I didn’t push it bc like you said, no sense arguing with the best store in town.

    • Val says:

Was it posted on a sign or the cashier just would not take the coupon?

      • Colleen says:

I asked at Customer service at mine (in nashville) and they told me it was for cereal and granola bars- breakfast food only. Bummer for me; I need canned green beans!

  36. Rachel says:

Why is it when I click print on, lets say the Carl Buddig Deli cuts it takes me to coupons.com but I cant ever find the coupon I need? There is no coupon for Carl Buddig Deli cuts. ???? Confused

  37. Holly says:

Jenny I love you girl!! You are a blessing!

  38. Sarah S. says:

I just called my Publix on St. James in Goose Creek, SC and according to the person I talked to in customer service, they are only using the $4 off in ad coupon for the cereals and nature valley bars.

  39. Erin says:

There is also a coupon from the Sunday paper (SS 10/25) for Save 60 cents on any 6 Dannon 6 oz. yogurt cups. Still makes them 40 cents a piece. Just makes sense if you want to spend $2.40 instead of $4.00 (of course you only get 6 instead of 10).

  40. Char says:

FYI… Publix on central ave in summerville no longer has the wonka or nestle candy : (

    • Sarah S. says:

The Publix in Goose Creek allowed me to sub another bag of candy. Fortunately it was still Nestle and Wonka so I could still use $2.00 off coupons!

  41. seeker says:

My Publix here in Middle Tennessee took the $4 off General Mills store coupon for buying 4 packs of Pillsbury Ready to Bake Cookies. I only had 2-$1 coupons and 2-.55 cent coupons, but it is still a deal at only .90 for all 4 packs! (Hope my math is right) Not bad!

  42. Jessica says:

Does anyone know where to find the $2.00 off pampers coupon from target? It says 8/02 or 9/02 but 9/02 was not a paper day.. Help!

  43. Lisa says:

Went to Publix on Tuesday and they would not take the Target coupons.

  44. Dana says:

I just got back from Publix. So heads up ladies… They NO longer accept Target coupons at Publix in Duncan, SC. They are also VERY rude about stacking coupons now and will argue with the customer about it. The 4.00 off coupon is great but they do not want to honor it for anything but cereals. So a great trip where I should have saved way more cost me about 10.00 or so more than planned on. Hope everyone else has better luck..

    • JD says:

That makes me so sad. I LOVE the Duncan Publix and they have always been so nice and so awesome about coupons! Was the cashier rude or did she call over a manager? Was she one of the younger girls or the older ladies?

      • Dana says:

It was actually a younger guy. He actually argued with me about the 4.00 coupon! Went through my coupons and pulled out the target coupons and handed them back to me. Said we do not accept competitor’s coupons. I was like ok, you did last week.. Sure it wasn’t much but I wouldn’t have bought a few things if I had known they no longer accepted competitor’s coupons. It was a rough ordeal. I shop at publix pretty much every week..

        • Tom says:

When a cashier gets like that just use the ultimate resolution that you can make. Nicely ask for your coupons back (smile), tell him to just put them back on the shelf and walk over to the customer service counter and ask when the store policy changed (but since this is a store you will be returning to you gotta be nice, nice, nice). My rare experience with this is the manager/assistant/whatever will not be too pleased with having a nice regular customer inconvenienced and/or having to have someone restock the merchandise and will have a conversation with the cashier. On one instance the manager redid the entire order using all my coupons (only one in question but the cashier ticked me off) and the other time I got a $10 publix gift card for my trouble (and the cashier got to restock the rejected order.) ;)

  45. Lara says:

FYI, there is a $1 off coupon inside some packages of Luzianne Tea for the same family size tea that is BOGO this week. I just found it in my family size Luzianne Tea pack in my cupboard! With coupon, the tea would be just $.14!

  46. jenniferpy1 says:

Uh, guys…the buddig q that I found and printed says” $1 off any Buddiq original tub”. I can’t find one that says “any buddiq meats”. Are the tubs on sale? Anyone know?

  47. Laura says:

So frustrated!!! I went to Publix this morning and the cashier said “I’m gonna do this for you today, but from now on we are not accepting any more then 5 printable (web) coupons at a time, due to all the fraudulent coupons going around.” Has anyone else heard this?! I’m in NW Florida. She let it slide today but I had about 20 total printables and that’s pretty common for me every week.
    Agh!

    • Amy B. says:

      Ask a manager.

      • Laura says:

Spoke with the manager this morning and she said that is just NOT true. She apologized and promised to speak to all her cashiers again today on their coupon policy.

          • Christine says:

When I used my BOGO Glade candle coupon the cashier had to take it to the manager to scrutinize. She said a manager has to approve all printable “free” coupons from now on due to coupon fraud. and then said the manager said she would “let me” use it cause it was under $5. Ugh. I just felt bad for the people in line behind me because it took quite some time. This was the suntree, fl publix.

  48. Janet says:

When I clicked on the link to the Shedd’s Spread coupon, after the coupon printed it brought me to the website. There was a link (at the bottom right) to a coupon for .50 off any Shedd’s spread product. This would make it FREE for those of you who live where Publix doubles those. Sadly for me, I’m in Florida, but I’m still happy with another coupon to use:0)

  49. Val says:

Just got back from publix and spent $9.00 including tax for $79.51 worth of groceries. I also had no problems using the $4 off coupon. I didn’t purchase any cereal either. I used it for Pillsbury Cookie Dough, Green Giant Corn and Betty crocker Frosting. So happy with my trip.

    • Laura says:

Ooooh! Lucky you! I’m jealous :P They said cereal and Nature Valley bars ONLY when I went! :/

      • Beth says:

I as well had the same good fortune at the Lexington, S.C. Publix. I bought cookie dough, frosting, progresso broth, and yoplait yogurt. I didn’t realize the Q was intended for cereal. Some of the cashiers questioned it and some didn’t. But every manager there was honoring the General Mills Products as it stated. Never had a problem. They were all very nice. I never really shopped at publix until I started to visit this site. So glad I found it! As for customer service, Publix beats all others by far!

  50. Michelle says:

I cannot seem to find the car buddig meats coupon.. is it only in certain areas?? Help! I have no idea what zip to use! thanks

  51. Elaine Mabry says:

Publix in Alpharetta, GA (hwy 9/Old Milton) notified me that the coupon policy will be changing. They will not take Costco , BJ’s or other “warehouse” stores. They took my spend $25 and get $5 off, but said they don’t take copy’s. It wasn’t but the black & white prints do look like a copy. I told them I’m so appreciative of what they have been doing and understand if the don’t take $ off coupons anymore. The cashier made a comment about how some customers have not been so nice about the changes and got upset. We don’t want Publix out of business…be kind.

  52. Rebecca says:

I’m sooo ticked off about the nasty-mean checker I had this evening. She scrutinized EVERY (nearly 40) coupon I had for my $85- (before coupons) bill, while 6 people were waiting in line behind me, annoyed about the wait. I’ll definitely be going in to use the misprint coupon for whatever I can get (hopefully through her line - in retaliation)! Time to start shopping at friendly Ingles again!

    • kk says:

I work as a CS Staff at Publix. You’ve got to understand that as a cashier, we are the ones whose till comes up short when our coupons don’t match. We don’t want to scrutinize coupons and sit there holding up the line while we have to match the coupons to the item. But unfortunately, due to dishonest people, and people taking advantage of Publix’s friendly coupon policy it’s something we have to do. Especially with printed coupons, there is so much counterfeiting going on, that we have to check. And remember, how many stores take competitor coupons? Publix is the most lenient out of any store I know. So understand both points of view when you want to complain about having to wait a little bit longer while your cashier matches the coupon.

      • Jodi says:

I agree. One of my first times at Publix, the guy who bagged the groceries was telling me about people using printed coupons that were not valid. They have to inspect each coupon to ensure that it is ok and make sure the customer is purchasing the items they are trying to use the coupons for. I ask the cashier if they would like my coupons before hand, or after, this way they can choose and it’s ok either way with me.

I have no problem with this and if the people behind me are in a rush, try to plan your day a little better so that you are not rushed. An old saying “Your lack of planning, does not make it an emergency on my part”.

      • CouponClary says:

        Well said KK!

I always go to the same Publix that is super coupon friendly and knowledgeable and I always offer to line up my items and coupons so the cashier could see if they match. One cashier gets flustered easily and is very grateful that I do this to make her job easier, others asked me to do so a few times and then got to know me and learned that I coupon honestly and tell me not to bother and scan whatever I give them. I don’t mind waiting for as long as it takes to save money, but I do mind holding people up behind me and try to indicate early on that I have a lot of coupons and that if they are in a hurry that they may want to pick another line. As for “retaliating”??? I agree, that gives couponing a bad name and will cause our favorite store to change their amazing policies!

      • lisaallynn says:

Well said kk! I also work for Publix and we have such great cashers that really care about their job. It is hurtful to hear that they are abused b/c they are doing what they are REQUIRED to do! Also, it is hurtful to hear about the manipulation of our managment staff with unjust and petty complaints against the casher who is just doing their job in order to get a $10 gift card. This is not a game, this is someone’s job. If you have a real complaint, then you should go talk to the manager or if you have a question. Just make sure that it is truely needed. A casher who tells you something that you don’t want to hear IS NOT a reason to cause them trouble. If you feel that they are misinformed then inform the CS desk. Publix management takes complaints very seriously. If gift cards are offered, then quite a scene must have taken place. They use these calm down very angry coustomers.

Is this worth it? What is your integrity worth? I pleased to say that for most of us, it is worth more than than the value of a few competators coupons.

I’m sorry to go off like this. I understand that I am blasting two different postings. It just makes me very angry when I hear-or in this case-read about people “coaching” others on how to manipulate our managers for personal gain or being spiteful and seeking revenge !?! Again, I know that this is a small minority. But that small number has cost enough trouble, and in some cases loss of raises. At the very least, one-on-one time with an angry manager.

So, please go to ingles…or better yet, go to wal-mart. Those tough ‘ole gals/guys will eat you for breakfast! LOL

        Peace.

      • BB says:

KK - Nice comments. The frustration on the consumer side is that with some cashiers we are “guilty until proven innocent”. I don’t mind my coupons being inspected. I do mind being treated as a criminal from the start of the transaction.

    • Amy says:

I’m really surprised at your feelings towards your cashier and wanting to retaliate!! It’s time to be grateful for the deals we do get - I’m just amazed to read your comments - hopefully you’ll get over it.

    • Stephanie says:

And this is exactly why couponers get a bad name and cashiers get aggravated with them! How many grocery stores are as nice as Publix?

If your job required you to do something, you wouldn’t be so quick to judge would you?

I love Publix, loved shopping there with just what was on sale, and now for the last year with the coupons.

One of my favorite cashiers told me people are using coupons for things they are not even buying - this is wrong - and also why the cashiers must make sure your coupons match.

Be patient, line your coupons up next time with your products and then use this cashier again. She will learn you are not scamming (unless you are) and it will go smoother in the future.

If people abuse Publix, they will stop their policies. Read this thread and see what some have started doing - not accepting more than 5 coupons, no more competitor’s, etc. Why do you think this is? DISHONEST people who are trying to scam or get away with something.

I always save at least 1/2 my bill honestly and with a little planning. If it takes me a couple extra minutes in line, they so be it. My savings are worth it. How much an hour would it cost to “make” after taxes that money you just saved?

Remember to do unto others what you would have them do to you.

      • Amanda says:

I agree as well, Publix does not have to honor competitor coupons, take internet coupons(alot of stores do not) or even offer BOGO, but most do. We should be grateful for this. Those that abuse the policies will make everyone suffer. Publix has the right to change their policies if couponers are becoming greedy or possibly abusing the system, it only takes a few to spoil it for everyone. Please try to remember what great deals you are getting in general. The goal is NOT to make Publix give me all my groceries for free. I think there is definately a line that can be crossed…..

        • Elaine says:

Because of dishonest people using fraudelant coupons my Publix is no longer accepting Target coupons. And in a few weeks they will be no longer accepting Rite Aid, CVS, and Walgreens coupons. They are very slowing getting rid accepting any competior coupon unless they are from a actual grocery store.

      • Amy says:

Jenny, thank you so much for all you do!! I am amazed to read some of the comments people post…I went yesterday to Publix and spent 17.35 and saved 66.66 this was my best yet and I must say that I splurged on several items for my family! You save us so much and it seems there are a lot of ungrateful people with a bad attitide are giving us a bad rep. Thank you again for all you do!!

    • MJS says:

      Go to Ingles then.

I would rather you go over their to shop instead of ruin it for people at Publix. Be thankful that the cashier is doing her job and wanting to do it right. “Any Job worth doing is worth doing right” - most of the cashiers at Walmart don’t even care about their jobs. I love the work ethic at Publix.

This coupon system is a gift to our family and I try to make sure we are honest in every coupon and deal we use. All that you are going to accomplish is that you will be the one being dishonest and you will ruin it for all of us.

      so please… go to ingles.

    • FrugalMama001 says:

I would have to agree with the previous posters. Publix is the best at what they do and offer great customer service! They used to not even allow internet coupons but changed their policy in order to please us-the customer. Don’t be petty and “retaliate” against the cashier for doing her job! Just know that she (he) was only doing what they are trained to do. I work in the financial field, which has been plagued with counterfeiting as well, and you just have to be careful. Not only for yourself but for the integrity of the company you work for and each customer. The Publix cashiers are only having the best interest of the company and the customers at mind when they check each coupon they scan. If the business loses money due to fradulent, counterfeit coupons, guess who loses also-YOU and I! I always give them my coupons before they scan my groceries just so they know that I am buying everything that I have a coupon for.

      • mydeere5 says:

One suggestion I have is get to know your cashiers. I have actually asked the cashiers that I usually go to how they prefer to take my coupons. One of them likes the coupon stacked with the item so she only checks it once, the other just wants them all facing the same direction. So I know how to handle each one. They are always nice and generally enjoy seeing how much money I save…HONESTLY! Everything has changed in our area in the last month, apparently the crazy/greedy couponers have hit our Publix and are making it worse for everyone. My motto is be helpful to the cashier because they are just doing their job and be thankful for what I do save…it’s a far cry better than paying full retail. Besides, is it really worth calling the manager or corporate and putting someone elses job at risk because you want to save $4 dollars? We obviously know the true intention of the coupon as Jenny mentioned..use it once and be thankful!

    • Mary says:

Be Proactive…Go to the Publix website and make a comment.

BUT don’t forget that when PUBLIX DOES SOMETHING GOOD to also make a comment.

This is what I did and I keep doing it…. Haven’t had to complain AT ALL since the first time I did. They are all about you the shopper, Just because one cashier had a bad day… Doesn’t mean that Publix needs retaliation. Take it to the top and you will receive the best customer service ever.

    • marina says:

I think she was just trying to vent ladies. We’ve all had bad experiences where the cashier made us feel like it was our fault that the line was so long and they have to stand there looking through our coupons. Even though it is their job and yes, even at “friendly publix”. We all need somewhere to vent our frustrations w/out being attacked like that. How many times have you sworn after a bad experience that “you’ll never shop there again!!!” I would hate for Jenny’s site to turn into a place where we attack each other for just sharing our experiences. :(

      • Amy says:

Retaliating and venting are two different things. I don’t want to see Jenny’s website turn into a hate website over petty issues. There are too many good deals to become upset and scheme and retaliate over a coupon. She’s not the first one to post her anger on this website because of coupons. There are still great savings to be had; be happy.

  53. Gabi says:

    Jenny,
thanks for all your hard work! My Publix on Two Notch in Columbia will also not accept Target coupons. When i asked about the GM $4 off 4 coupon they had no idea what they were going to do about it. It told them they better figure it our by tomorrow, cause I’m coming back :-)

    • Teresa says:

I also shop at the Two Notch store, I used the coupon for cereal but haven’t gone back to try anything else. Have you heard if they will accept it for any General Mills product? I’m curious before I go back myself.

  54. Momof2 (Greer, SC) says:

The Perdue Breaded Chicken Nuggets, Tenders or Fun Shapes, 12oz., at $4.39 ($2.19)would be a great deal since there is a $5 MIR when you buy the transformers dvd & a perdue breaded chicken product. I was able to get the Transformers 2 dvd tonight at the (1 day) Toys R Us members sale for $6.99. It was on sale for $9.99 less the $3 q that I had so my oop was $6.99 & once I submit the $5 MIR my final price will be $1.99. Another gift that can be marked off the Christmas list.

  55. cam says:

    keep up the fantastic work!

  56. Heidi says:

I can not get the All coupon in my zip. Can anyone help me out?

  57. Thanks for the tip! Instead of printing the original coupon I went straight to http://www.countrycrock.com and had no problem finding the coupon thanks to your description!

  58. dawn says:

I bought some Muir Glen soups today and tried to use the $4 off 4 general mills products. I am assuming it is GM because the $1 coupon is in a GM coupon book (Better at Home). When I got to the check out, it was scrutinized by the cashier. Let me warn you, it does not say general mills anywhere on the product. It says ’small planet foods’. I was not allowed to use the coupon and had to grab some green giant products which the cashier said was fine. Just a heads up!

    • Val says:

I went to the General Mills website and they have a page that list all the Brands they make. I printed it and took it with me just in case the cashier questioned if they were General Mills. I didn’t need it thou. The cashier didn’t say anything about the products I purchased.

      • Tarrah R. says:

They let me use it on Muir Glen, but weren’t too thrilled about it (well, the CS girl anyway- the manager was great)- when I went home, I also looked up the website and called the store to let them know to check out that Muir glen IS GM- I will print it out for my next transactions.

    • apontek says:

i couldnt find the GM located on the Meir Glen cans either BUT you can just show the coupon to the cashier and low and behold it says for them to mail the coupon to : General Mills and gives the address…so this will prove your point with the cashier

  59. Lisa says:

I cant seem to find the All Coupon for $1 off… it’s not where the link leads… any clue? Thanks…

  60. Liz says:

I got the All coupon on my paper but it said $2 off any one all 96 load and the sell is only for the 32oz. Are there any diffrent ones out there? Thanks.

  61. Michelle says:

My Publix here in Middle TN (M’Boro) took the $4 General Mills coupon without any problems. I used it for the Simply cookie dough! Used 2 $1.25/1 and 2 $1/1 and even scored $.50 overage!!! Sweet deal!

  62. Babbs6 says:

When I am trying to print certain coupons it is saying…oops it appears that link is broke. Can anyone tell me why?

  63. Sabrina says:

I have 2 B1G1 Enfamil coupons from Bi-Lo and I think 6 -$5 off Enfamil coupons. Email me if you’d like them and I’ll mail them to you.

    sabrinac.smith -at- gmail.com

  64. Babbs6 says:

There are two different places to print the coupons for the Muir product so I printed two off of one place and 1 off of the other before I realized they look like the same c. And I also printed one off last wk. But I know you are only supposed to print 2. So when does it restart? And if there are 2 diff links can you print from both?
Please help, new at this and don’t want to break the law. I want to be an honest couponer!

    • Laura says:

When you’ve reached your limit the site will not allow you to print anymore. It doesn’t matter that the coupons look the same - you can print as many as it will let you :)

Sometimes the limits are set per computer (usually 2) and sometimes the limits are based on overall numbers of coupons available. When they run out they’re gone. It varies from site to site. So print and enjoy!

  65. Vicki says:

    Cereal question

Could I use, $1/2 General Mills Cereals SS 9/27, 11/1 and
-$1/2 General Mills cereals printable (Target coupon), plus the in ad store coupon for $4 off??

  66. This coupon “-.35/1 Pillsbury Grands! SS 7/12″ expired 10/3/09.

  67. Cindy says:

Can I use a $2/1 Cottonelle catalina from Walgreens as a competitor coupon at Publix? It says, “Manufacturer cpn” at the top, but also has “reedemable at Walgreens” written on it. I wanted to use it with a manufacturer’s Q.

  68. Traclyn Cook says:

There is a $1 off coupon on the inside (printed on the box) of the Luzianne boxes of tea. I recently purchased these from Publix and now I am going back for some more … that will make them 14 cents per box.

  69. kaite says:

Just an FYI, POP Secret is not a General Mills brand.

    • Alyssa says:

You’re right. Pop Secret used to be a General Mills company until about a year ago - Gen Mills sold it and now it is a part of Diamond Foods (nuts).

  70. Jan says:

Jenny, Hi, thanks for all your work. I have been couponing for just 2 months now and have a QUESTION…..At Publix today the cashier would not take the coupon from Target for the gala apples or from Rite-Aid for the Tresseme hair care. She said that they no longer take coupons from stores that are not grocery stores. I asked which stores Publix considers competetors and she said Igles,Bi-Lo, Food Lion. Up to this week I had no problem using the coupons from Target, but she assurred me that they should not have been accepted. I did not ask to speak to the manager for clarification. She was quite friendly as was I and I did not want to ruin a good relationship with the store. So my question is was the cashier correct about Publix definition of a competitor or did I just get a difficult cashier. Thanks so much for all of your help. Jan

    • Jenny says:

Your cashier was probably right. Most Publix stores only accept true grocery store competitor coupons. I have to include anything out there because some areas do still take Targets and drugstore coupons. Most stores do not take these though so you are in the same boat as most of us (me included). There are lots of deals to be had though even without these :)

      • Jan says:

Jenny, thanks for your reply. Being new at this I am trying to navigate through couponing. Your response was very helpful. I agree there are great deals out there and since using all of the information you having given I now save about 60% to 65% each week on my grocery bill. Publix is a great place to shop for deals and not taking coupons from Target, etc. is such a little “bump in the road,” when looking at the bigger picture of weekly savings. Thank you so much for the work you do. My family and myself have definiately been blessed by it! Jan

        • Damien says:

          Jan,

Your cashier MAY have been right. I would ask a manager to be sure though because at my Publix store, I was told by a Customer Service Cashier that they do not accept Target, but then when I questioned a manager about it, he told me the cashier was wrong and that they do accept Target coupons. Many stores do not accept them, but some do and the cashiers do not always have the right answer. It never hurts to ask… the worse that can happen is the manager will say “no” and you are in the same place you were before, but who knows you may be able to use them still and you would not have known that without asking… but be sure to be polite when you ask.

  71. Ginger in Macon says:

    Jenny: LOVE the site!!!

Everyone in Macon, GA: the publix on Bass road allowed me to use the $4 store coupon for General Mills on Green Giant frozen veggies.

  72. Shannon says:

If I can use the $4 off GM coupon for the frosting at $1.50 can I also use (4) .50 cent off coupons? Not sure how that works. Jenny, thanks for all you do!

  73. andrea says:

i found the $4 off coupon for the general mills by going to publix website typing in my zip code and looking under categories for coupons. can print it off right there.

  74. Katherine says:

I used my $4/4 coupon to buy 4 boxes of cereal. Unfortunately, my $1 off Cheerios coupons had expired, but I still got 4 boxes of cereal for $3.25 (less than $1 per box).

On the 2 Cheerios boxes that I purchased, there was a $1.50 off Pampers diaper or pants coupon on the box. Yea!!!

  75. Laura says:

I’m not sure how you’re getting the Nature Valley Granola Bars to cost 70¢ each?
If they are 4 for 10 that’s $2.50 ea, then -$4 off Nature Valley products wyb (4) in ad store coupon (that’s $1.50 each) and then -.40/1 Nature Valley Bars SS 9/13 or printable which is $1.10 each. I’m confused b/c you have it listed as “(makes it 70¢ ea)”

Am I missing something? Because I definitely bought them for $1.10 each today.

  76. Heather says:

I went into Publix today and no where on the Pop secret bos does it state that it is a GM product. I got the 4 bucks off the cookies because they are GM, but pop secret, to my knowledge is not. Just in case any of you are wondering the same thing.

  77. Crystal says:

If a coupon expires 10/31, does that mean I can use it that day or I have to use it by the 30th?

  78. Gladys says:

Just went to publix in Franklin, Tn and they are definitely not accepting the $4 off 4 in ad coupon for anything that isn’t a breakfast type item so cereals and granola bars only. Also wanted to say THANK YOU JENNY! for all your hard work, definitely appreciated.

  79. Dawn says:

The Publix here in Florida has the college in broth B1G1, it’s not listed though…. Maybe an in-store promotion? Just thought I would share. I know there are $1.00 off one cpns to match up to it!!!

  80. kj says:

Publix in Antioch took the $4 off for green giant with no problems, however the canned vegetables were $1.29 each.

  81. Jennifer says:

Anyone know what zipcpde to use for the $1/2 general mills coupon?
    Thanks.

  82. mama says:

My Publix takes the $4 off for GM food. I did that 2 times.

    • Tarrah R. says:

in the same transaction? It would make life easier if they would take multiples, but I do understand that the wording seems you can only use one per transaction.

      • Lauren says:

My cashier (who I adore!!!) allowed me to use SEVEN of the $4GM q’s in one transaction. She said it didn’t make sense for me to make multiple trips (esp. since I had both of my boys with me!). She is actually the one who informed me that my store was not limiting the q to cereal or nature valley. So there was no guilt had in getting my groceries (82.19) for free!!

    • CouponClary says:

I asked at the CS desk before shopping how my store (Dacula, GA) was handling the $4GM coupon, and they said that they were accepting it on all GM products until told otherwise by corporate! I also asked if I was limited to only one coupon, and they said no, I could do as many as I wanted as long as I had the 4 qualifying items. I came prepared to buy CM cereal & NV granola products because I needed them, but will be heading back a few more times to get a few more deals!

      • Bob says:

        Dear CouponClary,

Which Publix in Dacula is accepting these $4G4 coupons? There are three of them…Hamilton Mill Pkwy…Dacula Road…and, Auburn Road.

  83. Heather says:

HELP ME!! I am new. Going shopping with my coupons for the 1st time this evening!!

How is the Country Crock Spread free? Isn’t the .99 price the half off price for buying just one item? Then if I use my .50 cent off coupon, it makes the price .49??? Right?

  84. Lynn says:

Just had a strange experience at Publix. I did the Sundown Vitamin Deal for $6.00 off 2 Publix Coupon & $3.00 off Man. Coupon. Also did the Nature Valley deal with $4 off GM and also $.80 off Man Coupon. The total was higher than what I expected (total was $4.41 and expected around $3 dollars and some change.) I looked at my receipt and they charged me the wrong price for one of the vitamins. $6.39 instead of the $5.29 on the shelf. The Mngr. was like, well how many coupons did you have when you bought this? I said 2, she said, you didn’t pay but $0.39 for those vitamins!!! Then she said, I’m just going to give you the full price and she gave me the full $6.84!!! OMG, I was shocked!! She said, we are just going to have to watch it next time.

    • Amy says:

At Publix, if an item doesn’t ring up for the price marked on the self, you get it for free. Additionally, they didn’t deduct for the coupon you use on the vitamins they gave you for free. Publix is great!

      • Lynn says:

She was going to just give me the $0.39 I “paid” for the item when counting the coupons, but she decided to give the price they “charged” me. She was a little torn about it!!!

        • Val says:

The store didn’t give you back your coupons which are money to them. The store will turn in the manufacture coupons and get reimbursed. Don’t feel bad about it.

  85. JDC says:

Can anyone find the Nestle and Wonka IP Q’s at this point? I am unable to locate them no matter what ZIP I use. Thanks!

  86. Alison says:

Just have to give Jenny a shout out! I just bought $92.84 worth of groceries for $18.88! That’s my best shop yet! I used the $4 coupons to get four dozen free cookies, nearly free cereal and four free cans of Muir Glen. I plan to go back on Sunday for more good deals! I’m donating all of the Uncle Ben’s rice, pasta, some cereal and other items to our local food pantry. Thanks for your hard work Jenny!

  87. amy says:

I was wondering if anyone else is having problems finding the wonka or nestle candy coupons? I click the link and search through, but can’t seem to locate them.

  88. keb2009 says:

the publix in anderson, sc on clemson blvd refused to take the $4 GM coupon. they said it was for cereal only. i didn’t raise too much of a fuss because i have a family member that works there.

and dern if i didn’t get home in time to call the corporate office. oh well looks like i get to look forward to something on monday :)

    • J says:

      Hi Keb,

If you read what Jenny said about the GM coupon, you’ll see that this was a misprint; it’s only supposed to apply to GM cereals. As honest couponers we shouldn’t complain, let alone “tattle” to corporate if we didn’t get the benefit of a windfall. Be thankful that Publix has great customer service and a great coupon policy as it is. And thanks to Jenny for all of her help.

      • tina says:

Guess she was like me and did not read that post. :(

      • keb2009 says:

i completely understand that it was a mistake on their part. it just blows my mind how most stores are letting this go and then some are being strict about it.

oh well, im sure someone in the publix marketing dept. got an ear full!

  89. Megan says:

The .75 International Delight coupon is for the quart, but the sale is for the 16 oz. size. The .55 coupon is good for any size.

  90. suemac says:

Did anyone else find the coupons for Arnold Bread? I don’t see them in my RP’s for either date nor did I see them in the list of weekly inserts? I do see a .55 coupon coming up on 11/1. Confused!

  91. Cheap says:

If you buy four boxes of cheerios, use the online coupon for $1 off one box, the $1 off three coupon from a couple of weeks back, and the $4 off four… then you get four boxes of cheerios for FREE!

  92. MelRae says:

I have been “extreme couponing” for about a year now, and today may have been my best trip yet to Publix. My before coupon total was $29.45. After coupons, my total was 76 cents (before tax)! Wow! I paid $1.99 for $30 of groceries! I had a Walgreens RR for $9, so my total would have been $11 without it. The man who was bagging my groceries even said “yeah, that policy may change”, meaning Publix accepting the Wags RR. And I would understand if they did. But it worked today! Woo hoo!

    • Allison says:

I’m very curious as to whether or not Publix gets reimbursed for the WAGS RR Qs. I mean, they scan like a coupon, but I wonder if they get paid for them or they pay. If they pay, I don’t think I’ll use them so much anymore, you know?

  93. JEB says:

Piggly Wiggly has a $5 off $25 order coupon on The STATE paper for Friday.

  94. Leah says:

Just got back from my trip to Publix this morning & it was a stock up week for me. I spent $30.00 but saved $49.00 so I hit my mark for saving over 50% AND stayed below my $40.00 weekly budget. Thanks Jenny!

  95. Suzanne says:

Both the Folly Rd and Main Rd/Hwy 17 Publix stores in Charleston will honor the General Mills coupon for any GM product! I used 14 at one store and 18 at another today! I got $208.46 in groceries for $10.22!!! Thanks so much Jenny!

  96. Katie says:

I noticed that there is a dollar off coupon inside the box of Luzianne iced tea that is B1G1. Of course, this was after I bought it, but you could buy one, clip it, and then get another for .$14.

  97. tina says:

Today’s penny item is Publix Peanut Butter. 11/01

  98. Aymie says:

    Jenny I have a question:
I didnt have a problem at all at my Publix yesterday with the Simply cookies and using the $4 off QP.
Do you know if I can use another coupon with the frozen Pillsbury biscuits? I believe they were on sale yesterday 2 for $5 or 2 for $6??
Do you think that would work?

  99. Tina says:

Publix marked down Frankenberrie cereals that were promoted with the Halloween merchandise to $1.00. Since it is a GM product. I bought 8 boxes for $0.00 with the in-ad coupon! :)

    • Jennifer says:

      Tina,
I did this too and actually wasn’t thinking and brought other coupons with me after I got the register I realised my mistake and tried to take some back stating that I didn’t need all of them because the in ad coupon was enough. However she called over customer service and they gave me 3 dollars back(for my 2 manuf. and 1 compet. coupon!). I told them that really they didn’t have to that I was completely pleased with FREE!! But they insisted!! Publix is awesome!:)

  100. Vicki says:

Just came from an Atlanta area Publix, they are no longer taking competitors coupons. Only Kroger and Whole Foods coupons as competitors. I had a Rite Aid and several Target coupons. So lost out there.

  101. Mandie says:

I went to Publix today to get the penny item. I bought a paper. When I got home I grabbed the Publix Sunday flier that has the penny item Q. The Q had already been torn/stolen off of the ad! Wow! That’s all I can say.

  102. Heather Dixey says:

On the fresh express salad blends 55/2 are we supposed to be able to use a 55/2 coupon on each of the 2 items or just one coupon for both of the b1g1 free items? I know on b1g1 free you can usually use two coupons but what about when the coupon is for 2 items?

Gosh I appreciate all of your wonderful work!

  103. Lee Ann says:

I got a double paper today (as always) and neither of my Publix adds had the $4 off GM store q in it. Am I missing something? Where is the “in add” coupon? Thank you for your help!!!

  104. Michelle says:

I’m looking for a printable coupon for Arnold bread, I don’t have the RP on that it lists (I’m new to the coupon stuff, so I’m just starting to get a stash. Anyone know a good zip code for the redplum website? My zip code doesn’t give me very many coupons. Thanks!!!

  105. Margie says:

Has anyone tried the International Delight Coffee Creamer (16 oz.) for $1.50? The $0.75 coupon that I printed from above says “when you purchase an International Delight QUART”. I just wondered if anyone had used that one on a pint (16 oz.)

    • Aymie says:

The cashier I go to never really checks the fine print, so I was able to use it just fine!
Also, the Perdue coupons were for the frozen, not the refrigerated. My cashier took it but I dont know who else would have…

    • tina says:

Hi Margie, I fineally found you again, I posted a comment “to the lady looking for creamer coupon” LOL! Anyway, go to printable coupons, then Coupons.com, put in 31558 zip code, then click on beverages and there u go.

  106. Elizabeth says:

Sad day here in Crystal River Fl…my Publix would NOT allow me to use the $4 General Mills coupon unless the words “General Mills” were written across the top of the product. Which is basically cereal! They said absolutely NO to Green Giant, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, and all the other great General Mills products! AND to make matters worse, they are no longer taking Food Lion coupons…I also noticed their “we take competitor coupons” poster is no longer displayed.

But regardless, I still did very well because of your wonderful list..Spent $159.49 and saved $99.37. Had a lady that was in another aisle stop me outside to ask how I did that…I told her about your site…she grabbed a pen and paper from her purse and wrote it down…YaHoo. Thanks for all that you do!

    • Kim says:

      Hi Elizabeth,
I have had a problem with Crystal River everytime I walked into that store. I thought they stopped the FL coupon a long time ago. I know BH and INV dont take them either. However, Ocala takes Target as of last week.

      Kim

  107. sarah says:

I always end up ripping off and handing the top of my shopping list to people who notice the good deals. sometimes employees even ask. It is fun to share your site with others. thanks for all the hard work!

  108. Tina LaCasse says:

OK, so im new to this whole couponing thing. This web site helped me alot. I planned for my shopping trip for almost a week (publix)But when i got to the store i got very confussd and was constantly searching thru my coupons. I used 4 riteaid $5 off $25. When i checked out the cashier questioned me but scanned them anyway. She had a really bad attitude to the point where im thinking about caling the store manager. so my first big couponing try was not very succesful. The reciept did not show my total before coupons so i dont even know how much i really saved. planning on going to cvs, so hopefully that will be better.

    • Sue says:

Tina, bit of advice. Organize your coupons according to the layout of your store and paperclip multiples together. Try to have your list organized the same way. I usually write the number of items, then the item, then the coupon amount on my list (left to right.) This has made my shopping more grab and go. Also, I think you’re only supposed to use one Rite Aid coupon per transaction. She was being nice by taking all four.

      • tina says:

        Thanks Sue, I will definately make a list. My friend at work used 8 rite aid coupons the other day and i have read other peoples blogs. One lady said she used like 6 $4 general mill coupons at one time. So i dont know im still reading and trying to understand it all. But ur right i would have been ok with it if she would have explained. Anyway thanks again. I will defenately try to get more organized. I think I saved about $50 if i read the reciept right, lol. havent made it to cvs yet. i will let u know how it goes. :-}

FYI, my Publix in Zephyrhills, FL had an in-store special on Cat’s Pride cat litter. It’s BOGO, and there is a $1 off coupon on coupons.com. I had printed the coupon because I needed some litter anyway, and then found the ISS. I love these unexpected surprises!

    Thanks, Jenny!! You are awesome!

Is anyone else able to print more than two copies of the mueller’s whole wheat pasta coupon? It doesn’t seem to have a limit per IP which is great on one hand, but I don’t want to use fraudulent coupons. I also don’t want to make the cashier upset with me, can I use 8 if I buy 8 boxes??? 14 cents per box is too good to pass up for my family, we use at least 1.5 boxes of pasta per week.

    • Michelle says:

I used 6 yesterday. It let me print 6 on Saturday, and 7 last night. I’m heading out again today to use another penny coupon. The only thing my cashier said was “where do you get these coupons so I can get some? When I told her Southern Savers, the two ladies behind me also asked me again and wrote it down. Jenny, you are awesome. I need to make cards to hand out. I’ve only been doing this a month, but I have had so many people ask me in checkout lines. It’s so exciting! Plus, last night was the first time I’ve saved more than I spent….spent $7, saved $21! Yay!!!

      • Dana says:

I used this deal on Friday. Mine were priced at $1.19 per box! I got 10 boxes, my Publix is great and I have a favorite cashier, that even though I have just started my couponing adventure already recognizes me! :) So I was able to get my boxes for .045 cents per box!!! Got 10 boxes for .45 total. I plan to go back for more, we have a food pantry in our church and with the holidays coming I’m sure we’ll use it. ALSO…. if you go to Mueller’s website there are coupons for $1.00/3 for Lasagna and Whole Wheat Pasta. It will make the lasagna .26 cents each for me so I’ll grab some of those as well.

        • Dana says:

Guess I should explain the lasagna math:

          Buy 3 @ $1.19 - Get 3 Free = 6 for $3.57
          Use 2 $1/3 q’s = 1.57/6 = .26 each

    • Stefanie says:

I finally went out shopping today. I took 10 of the Meuller coupons with me. It actually rang up as 65 cents per box, so after my 55 cent coupon per item, I only paid $1 for all 10 boxes. I think I’m going to go back with some more coupons, and then donate some to our food pantry at church. :) Thanks Jenny for all you do!

  111. Cathy says:

Our Publix had Stoneyfield Farms Organic Yogurt marked down to $3.69 BOGO, and I used a Publix Baby Club $1 off Stoneyfield farms to score 2 6 packs for $2.69. (I bought the baby version, but all Stoneyfield Farms were BOGO - it did say In Store Special). Also, all Halloween candy was 50% off…not like we need any more LOL!!

    • Aymie says:

I always use my leftover candy, or clearance candy, for brownies and cookies and cakes!
I chop it up and add it to the recipe. Or I line them side by side in the middle of brownie mix for a yummy surprise!
There are lots you can do with it!

  112. Amy B. says:

I found Nature Valley Dark Chocolate & Nut boxes with TRY ME FREE peelies on them. You don’t need the peelie though! http://www.naturevalley.com/trymefree

This would be great to add into the $4/4 GM coupon & Man Q for an even bigger money maker!!

  113. Elizabeth says:

Wondering if anyone else had trouble finding the Cesar Dog Treats? I went to my Publix (Knightsville, SC) twice this week looking for them and couldn’t find them, or a spot on the shelf where they should be. Got a rain check for them, even though they weren’t in my ad! What a nice Cust Service manager, huh?!

  114. Kim C says:

I know this is a random off sale question… but does anybody know if you can use a Baby Formula check with a manufactures coupon at Publix ? Thanks ;o)

    • Cari says:

you should be able to use a manufacturer coupon+formula check together at any store that accepts them.

at publix you could even still stack a publix store coupon or a competitor store coupon on top of those :)

      • Kim C says:

Thank you !!! I mainly wanted to know because I have a very good store coupon and I wanted to stack as much as possible to maximize my savings. ;o)

  115. Susie says:

The Carl Buddig coupon says $1.00 off one tub. Was anybody able to us this on the smaller (12 oz.) packages that are BOGO? I don’t think the ones on sale are the tubs. Thanks!

  116. deedee says:

I found out last week that publix in the gainesville ga area will no longer accept target coupons!

  117. Sarah says:

My Publix in mid-TN has the Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters on sale as well for $2.50 a box (reg $3.49). There are several $1.00 off per bag coupons available (SS 9/13, coupons.com, smartsource.com), so using the $4/4 GM coupon along with the sale and 4 $1/1 coupons makes them $.50 each!

  118. Carolin says:

I’m so jealous of some of you. My Publix in Jacksonville, Florida won’t let me use the GM $4 off q for anything besides cereal or nature valley bars.

    • Mina says:

LOL Don’t get too jealous. I envy the Floridians for all the great coupon books you get! Most of the books are never distributed up here.

My store limits the use to 1 per customer per day. I’ve wound up having to cajole (read that “drag”) people to the store with me and still just bought mainly NV granola bars and nut clusters because they eat at least 3 boxes/wk. Other than that, we just bought enough veggies for 2 dinners and a couple of cans of beans that we needed for dinner tonight.

  119. Jen says:

I just went to the Publix at Harbison and used the $4 off GM cereal on 4 of the single cereal cups that were $4. Not only that but they also let me use two $1 off of any 2 GM cereal products and I purchased one other item and only paid $0.29 for it all. They did however turn my boyfriend’s target coupons down and my boyfriend works at another publix and they are supposed to take those coupons. Oh well it’s still a great deal and ends tomorrow.

    • Mina says:

Jen, none of the Columbia area stores accept Target q’s. Only traditional grocery stores are considered competitors here. The only restriction listed on the GM/Nature Valley Publix q is that each item be OVER 5 oz. I think those single serving bowls are among the few items that don’t meet the requirements to use the q. Looks like you lucked out with that. The Harbison cashiers are usually very careful.

For the lady looking for the COFFEE-MATE CREAMER coupon. go to printable coupons then Coupons.com put in 31558 zip code then beverages. There is also a $1 off maxwell house. Dollar General had it on sale for $5.50

  121. Publix CS Associate says:

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that Publix in the Gainesville area will no longer be accepting rite aid, target, cvs, or walgreens coupons. We will only be accepting true grocery competitor coupons. For example Kroger and Foodlion. This is coming from our corporate office.

  122. Mina says:

Tonight would have been funny, except that I hate to have issues at the register.

Yesterday, when I bought only granola bars, I asked Customer Service whether they were honoring the $4/4 q on the Green Giant. The answer was, “Yes.”

Tonight I made sure that the bags of stir fry veggies and the ones that are a mix of veggies and pasta were the correct sale items. They were. I really wanted plain veggies, but all they carried were fancier sauced mixtures. If those, these were the only two kinds they had.

When we checked out the cashier called the (different) CS person to make sure the store q was okay. That was no problem; it’s exactly what he should do if he’s not sure. But the particular CS lady, who always goes through every q to look for reasons to reject any of them if she’s called for one, decided that the .40/1 “any frozen bag 19-24 oz Green Giant vegetables” could not be used. She insisted those were dinners and not veggies, even though they are the items they have on sale as VEGETABLES, are shelved in their veggie section and NOT the dinner section, and aren’t meals. She said those were for Steamers, but the Steamers q’s specify that’s what they are for.

She finally said, “Just this one time,” and let us use them. That irked me. Even though I will argue as politely as possible if someone attempts to deny use of a legitimate q, I won’t knowingly use one for a product not covered by the wording, and I’ll readily admit that I made a mistake if I believe I have a mismatch. It really annoys me that she wouldn’t just admit she misunderstood that the veggies were veggies, or thought she was doing me a favor by allowing me to use those q’s for the wrong product.

Meh, sometimes even when you check and double check everything to make sure that checkout will run smoothly, you still get unwelcome surprises.

On the Degree Deo,, the coupon link is Dove.. can you use this for Degree?

  124. Lori says:

Help! I’m new to this, and I was so excited to get some great deals, so I printed enough coupons to have for each item in the buy one get one free sale I was interested in. At the register, the cashier informed me that the numbers on the coupons were the same, so I could only use one coupon! I was sooo embarrassed. Did I do this wrong? Are they just cracking down on couponers? =)

    • Cari says:

what coupons and how exactly did you print them??

      • Lori says:

I printed from coupons.com for .40 off nature valley granola bars to use with the 4 for $10 in conjunction with the in store $4 off coupon. I also printed from the link listed for .55 off mueller’s whole grain pasta which was buy one get one free. I printed two coupons for the pasta since you can use one on each box and four for the granola bars to use for each box purchased. Can you only use one printable per purchase but with coupons out of the Sunday paper you can use as many as you have clipped since they are originals?? Thanks for any advice! I don’t want to be attempting something dishonest, but I do want to get the best deal!

      • Sue says:

Did you print multiple coupons from the computer or did you print one of each and make copies?

        • Lori says:

For the pasta I printed 2, but for the Nature Valley coupon I printed 2 and then made a copy so I would have four. Is it just that you can’t photocopy or is it that you can only print once? Thanks!

  125. Brandi says:

I saw that you mentioned Upromise coupons in the publix deals this week for glass cleaner. My Publix doesn’t have store cards (Central FL) so how do you use Upromise without a store card? I thought that’s how it worked.

Has anyone used the $4 of General Mills products more than once in a transaction?
I have gone 3 times this week but only used it to buy 4 items. Today is my final trip and would like to use it to get a few items that are not on sale for savings.
