I have been couponing for a couple of months & have gotten to the point of only having to buy if on sale, the only item that I don’t remember seeing is flour. On this one item my husband is picky & I’ve tried store brands, biscuits do not taste the same, White Lilly, anyone know when/who puts on sale & if there is ever any coupons?

      • Jessica

It will go on sale during the holidays. Right now it seems like $2 for a 5lb bag is a good price. Sam’s club is also a good deal. I think theirs is less than $2 for 5lbs but it comes in a 25lb bag so you have to be able to store it.

Your question reminded me to go check my q’s because I knew that I had some for flour. There ARE coupons, but you probably won’t find them in the stores, since they were issued in the spring. I have several for 55 cents off of one bag any White Lily. They expire on the 31st. I’ve been hanging on to them, hoping the flour would have a corresponding sale before they expire, but there haven’t been any. Even with a q, it’s still expensive for my pocket when it’s regular price.

Do you live where there are stores that will double 55 cent q’s? If you can use a few of these, and leave an email addy where I can contact you in time for them to arrive before they expire, I’ll get back to you.

I know Gold Medal flour does go on sale. Periodically, Kroger has it on sale for 99 cents. That’s the sale I usually hit, but it’s been a really long time since that’s been on sale. Months ago, when I last caught it on sale, it wasn’t even advertised. I would have missed it if I hadn’t been watching the shelf tags. Mostly, I just grind my own wheat, but sometimes a gal simply wants or needs white flour.
