Lastly if you a lover of Dukes Mayo, I have it from the company that they will be increasing prints on this coupon in the next 24-48 hours.  It’s .55/1 off any Duke’s product, which is on sale at many stores including Publix this week.

Have you found any special deals at your store?

  • Brandy

Hey. Just thought I would let you know that I went ahead and tried the Dukes coupon and it’s already printing. Thanks Jenny!

    • Heather

I printed wome earlier today too!

      • Heather

        some even…..lol

        • Carrie

          I just printed mine.

    • http://Publix Rosalind

Does anyone know what zip code to use for redplum to copy off the Knox gelitin coupon for $4 off. I would love to use it at publix to get these deals when I go.

  • http://Southernsavers.com Christine McCoy

I bought 2 of the Dove Deoderant, they were $2.79each, I used the BOGO coupon and 2 of the $2.00 off coupons. She took off the price of one, so I got them both free and got back $1.21. I am fairly new at this coupon game….but, I already have a very full pantry and I am addicted to getting freebies.

  • http://lifeinthishome.blogspot.com Meredith

Today at my Publix I found some Duke’s mayo with .50/1 peelie on the lid-something to look out for!

  • Leah

Can you use the B1G1 Kikkoman coupon PLUS the $.55 off peelies?

    • Dale

Yes, I did this yesterday…with no problem

      • Maria

I did it today and it work. Price 1.79 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.

  • Catherine

Who doesn’t love Duke’s if you were raised anywhere near the South? :) I confess I love Miracle Whip, too, but a tomato sammich just doesn’t taste as good without Duke’s! Thanks for these updates.

    • Jessica

      Catherine
I was born and raised in Florida but we grew up on Hellman’s (never did like Kraft)never heard of Dukes until I moved to GA this year. and Miracle Whip…ahhh totally different flavor. Is Dukes like Hellmans or Miracle Whip?

      • Jeanie

Duke’s is closest to Hellman’s. Try it, you’ll love it

        • Jessica

          Thanks… I will give it a try :)

      • Michelle

Sorry, Jeanie, but I totally disagree. I am also from Florida (Pensacola area) and grew up on Hellman’s. I have been trying to switch to Duke’s because it is so much cheaper…but Duke’s has that taste that Miracle Whip has, almost a sourlike taste-maybe that’s not the right word, but it’s nothing at all like Hellman’s. I just started couponing a month ago, so I missed the BOGO for Hellman’s at Publix, and I am impatiently waiting for it again!!

    • jon

I preferer Mircle Whip, the only time I can tell the difference with mayo is generic vs. brand name (even then it has to be a craptastic generic)…

  • Val

I was surprised when I got to my Publix in Athens Alabama and found pre packaged butter ball lunch meat B1G1. Normally $2.99 each. Nice surprise because I needed lunch meat anyway.

  • Lisa

I am new to publix, what is the green advantage buy flyer? How do you get one? Thank you guys for all your post, it really helps figuring things out.

    • Danelle

      Lisa-
The Advantage Buy comes in my newspaper insert, but you can also get them inside the store. In my store, they are just inside one of the doors on a spinny thing that also holds the sale ads, & other flyers, coupons. I always check it first thing when I’m entering the store to see if there are any new coupons!

    • Kim

The green advantage buy flier used to be at the door with the weekly ad. Now you have to ask for it at the customer service desk…they’ll know what you’re talking about and they’ll gladly hand it over. :)

    • Jessica

      Lisa
I picked mine up in front in the stand that they keep the weekly ads in. Marked Fall Savings for the Whole Family pictures a family dressed for winter.

  • Katie F.

So glad Duke’s finally got with the program to compete with Helman’s and all the other brands with coupons!! Hooray for Duke’s!!

  • Andrea

Dukes! Dukes! Dukes! I have some $1 peelies I’ve been hanging onto just waiting for a sale. The Dukes reduced fat tastes just like regular mayonaisse. It rules!

  • Brett

Yesterday, my Publix (Suwanee, GA) had Lactaid Ice Cream Half-Gallons 2/$5. I had a $4 off any 2 Lactaid productions coupon, so the final cost was $0.50 each.

  • Amanda

In Jacksonville, FL I did not see the same price/deal on the dove. However, I did find some other deals:

I received an Up and Up target mailer with several coupons off generics. One was $1 off any papertowel – I used this to get a free roll of “seasonal” paper towels at Publix.

I also used the $2.00 of ANY size Lee and Perkins Worshire (spelling?) sauce….my publix had the smallest bottle at $1.99. So it was free after coupon.

I DID see the deal on the covergirl….I also noticed the eyeshadows are only $2.99 each – minus the $1.50 off in store deal….then you can use the $1.00 off coupon for one single eyeshadow at 50cents! Great stocking stuffer!

I also noticed from the Green flyer that Engergizer 8pk AA batteries is marked down to $4.99 – minus $1.00 off manufacturer coupon plus the Yellow flyer purchase batteries and get two free shopping bags. (expires November 6th)

I also got the Family Style coupons early….it has some deals. There was $2.00 off Fast Fixin Frozen Flame Broiled Chicken Breast…plus online there is a printable for $1.00 off – per the yellow flyer they are on sale for $5.99 minus two coupons, you get them for $2.99! This deal expires 11/6/09 as well.

Another deal was a store coupon in Family style for $1.00 off Betty Crocker Cookie Dec Icing..and there is a manufacturer that will expire in a few days for $1.00 off. This makes the icing $2.00 for one color – decorates 12 cookies.

    • DeeDee

      Amanda,
Good deals!! Glad you got into this?? :)
Where did you get the Family Style Coupons???

  • http://none Shawn

where do you see the $2.00 off any produce when you buy
    Tostitos chips and Salsa?

    • Maria

I looked for this coupon too and the only peelie i found was for a free salsa with the purchase of two Tostitos bags. This is probably a regional offer.

  • Diana

My Publix had the Nestle TollHouse Cookies with the gooey insides on sale B1G1 but the big news was that the packages all had $1 off peelies on them. The cost was $2.69 for 2 but with the peelies it was .69 for 2!!! YUM!

    • Karsten

I know!! I was surprised/excited to find them too! I think I’m going back and buying alot more. Can’t beat .69 cookies for all the holiday parties/get togethers coming up!!!

  • Amy

To the lady at the Murray Landing store this morning (Thursday) .. why do you take peelies off of the Tostitos? Clearly we should allow other shoppers to have the opportunity to get free salsa for buying two bags of Tostitos! It is women like you that RUIN our shopping experience and create the hostile environment with cashiers and customer service for the rest of us honest coupon loving shoppers!

    • Stacey

      Amy,
I am sure this is the same lady that hits all of our area Publix stores. I watched her clean them out of Scrubbing Bubbles (over 100 cans in 3 trips) back when they were BOGO and there was store and manu q’s. Harbison store is very familiar with her and she’s the reason they started putting all coupon booklets behind the counter. Anyway, check the Harbison Target because they had the same coupon (free salsa WYB 2 bags) on a tearpad about two weeks ago.

      • Susan

I don’t take the peelies off of any product, because you are not buying that product…it’s stealing the coupon that someone else would get for buying that product.

    • .Jennifer

She is SUCH a pest. She was leaving the Murray Landing store alone and that is where I was able to get all of my deals but not so the last couple of months. She hits Lexington too… hard. I can’t imagine that someone has that much time to go store to store taking all of these coupons… and what is she doing with them anyways!?!

I told a manager at one of the Cola area stores if I ever saw her I was going to tackle her and they’d have to pull me off of her. The manager said that they would hold her down for me! ha!

      • Sue

She’s probably selling them on ebay. I bought 10 Starbucks coupons last month and received 10 peelies that were still on strips of 5. They never even made it to the shelf! There are always going to be people in it to turn a quick dollar. Remember Beanie Babies?

  • ET

The only Kikkoman’s with peelies at the Newnan Bullsboro Publix were the garlic flavored bottles but the peelies were expired….

Can we use 2 of the $2off coupons on the Dove deal? Since the coupon is BOGO, when they ring up they will not be like our typical BOGO deals and one will be full price while the other is free. So we can’t use the $2 off on the free one, right? I noticed the Kikkoman deal is the opposite, only one coupon is listed in the deal after the BOGO coupon.

    • ET

Never mind! I get it now – the BOGO is a store coupon so we can still use the two manu. coupons also….

      • Susan

My Publix lady is always super nice, but she wouldn’t let me use 2 man. coupons. One was full price and one was free, so she said she could only take one. I didn’t say a word because I was still happy with my cheap deo and I don’t dare complain at Publix b/c they’re so wonderful. And the salad bag rung up wrong (full price) and so I got it free! that was my deo paid for! :)

        • Atlanta1

I think that Publix has it wrong. Manufacturer’s Coupons are reimbursed by the manufacturer and has no bearing on the the “sale” that Publix runs. Say the coupon was $1 off Dove. Publix will get $1.00 each back from the Dove People so they are actually hurting themselves by not honoring–they just lost a $1 when if they allowed the person to redeem two $1 coupons, Dove would send them $2.00 not $1.00. Anyway, if anyone finds out definatively, I would like to know.

          • http://southernsavers Tina

In Ga you pay half price for the BOGO deals. So you can use 2 coupons! I do it every week. Now in FL because one is actually free and one is full price they will only take one. I am looking forward to tomorrow. I will get the tollhouse cookies for 25cents each. the morsels for 25cents. The coffee mate creamer for10cents eachand the Voila meals for 1.75 each!

          • ET

This is actually in reply to Tina, but there was not a “Reply” link below the post: With our BOGO sales, even here in GA, this is true; but this deal rings up like the FL deals do – the first is full price and then the cashier takes the price off of the second one to make it free and that is what made me question it until I realized that the other coupon was a store coupon. These don’t ring up at half price each because it is a coupon and not a sale.

        • Robin

They wouldn’t let me do the Dove 2 Manu coupons either because of how she did it she rang both up and then deducted one deo off this was in Riverdale, Ga. I usually go to the Fairburn store and never ever have a problem. Its just half price. Is anybody else having a problem? Tylenol for free is awesome!!

  • Amy

Publix in Ooltewah, TN has Bertolli frozen meals half price! Plus there is a $1 manu Q out for it! (Item was not marked, it just rang up for $4)

  • Kristen

Nestle Chocolate Milk is $1.00 each (10 for $10) and you can use this coupon to make it free!!

    -.50/1 Nesquik RP 11/1

  • April

The Publix Green Advantage Buy flyer also has a Tylenol coupon for -$3, the sale price is $3.99. Combine with -$1.00 coupon from Sunday paper (10/4 or 10/11)and it’s FREE !! I’m going back tomorrow to get another one. Pregnant now and a 18 month old too, you can never have too much Tylenol around !

  • Colette

There is a 50 cent Scotties Tissue coupon on Coupons.Com which should double to $1. Yesterday the Scotties Tissues were an Advantage Buy for 99 cents!

  • nina

Dove deodorant.. I did the deal at my publix just fine ( east brainerd rd chattanooga tn ) then my two other friends went back a day later and did it and they were told they couldnt do it!! that when you use a bogo free coupon you can not use two manf. coupons. that you can only use one because you are only paying for one item. One of my friends went to the publix in ooltewah was yelled at for trying it and told you can’t get stuff for free!! LOL!!! I am appalled at how my friend was treated.. she was treated so bad she doesnt want to coupon anymore. I on the other hand have never had an issue but one time and it was my own fault cause the coupon was expired LOL!! shame on me right? .. anyways.. I wanted to know if anyone else in other areas had troubles with the dove coupons and if the store is in the right .. or the coupons? cause one was a store coupon on BOGO and the other two were 2 dollars off one deodorant and were manf. coupons .. first off you can stack so that is not an issue .. I dunno just wondering?!

    • Jessica

I just tried the same thing on kikkomans B1G1 and 2 -$1/2 bought 4 would not let me use the 2nd $1/2 …and the Dove B1G1 and $2/1 bought 2 (my publix had a double pack tho bonus :0 ) and I could not use the 2nd $2 off because she said they do not give coupons off for something that is free, I just smiled as today my total oops was $23.00 and my total savings was $106.86. I’m addicted…lol

  • pam

went to kroger today to get the meatballs. mananger would not let me use the food lion coupons has anyone else had any problems

    • sharon

My kroger does not take competitor coupons

  • acwmmh

I am new to this coupon thing. I could use the help.. Any tips?

    • DeeDee

Biggest tip is read this blog! Absorb it. You will learn more and more each week. Find several other frugal living blogs to read,as well. The Frugal Find, Happy Homemaker Cindy, My Frugal Adventure, Money Saving Mom, etc…. They all have great ideas and cover a variety of stores across the US.

    • tonya

If you’re new to the whole thing, I would just stick to one blog and make it be Southern Savers. It can get very overwhelming if you’re going here and there. I feel like Jenny covers everything for a newbie. It can get very frustrating…very quickly. Start slow and then when you start to really get the hang of it…branch out. I personally only use Southern Savers. I love Jenny’s page the best.

  • Jared

I have that $4 Knox coupon but can’t find where that stuff is. Has anyone used that coupon that can tell me where to find the product in Publix?

    • Catherine

It’s usually near the boxes of jello.

  • sjones

The Publix in Ooltewah, TN has Duracell batteries B1G1 for $6.49 so after your $.75 coupon it totals to 2.49 each for a pack of 4!

  • pharmSCgirl

Does anyone know the coupon limit at Publix? It seems that it may be 1 coupon per total of items purchased. I purchased 18 items last night and it let me use 18 coupons and then would not take anymore and I had to get a manager to override my publix store coupons. I thought you could use a mfc coupon and a store coupon for the same item. Am I wrong?

    • Dianne

You can only use as many coupons as items you have regardless of the type. I sometimes buy one banana to be able to use an extra coupon.

      • momofalora

The manager at my Publix in Anderson SC said that I could use one Manufacturer coupon, one store coupon and if the item had a peelie coupon on it I could use all three for the same item at the same time. Needless to say, that ROCKS!! Thus, I have often been paid for many items or got them completely free. Maybe it depends on your store policy. I would talk to your manager at your particular store.
