How much are the calendars otherwise? Does it have to be exactly $20 or can you pick an amount over $20?
I ask because we do a $25 giftcard swap at Christmas and this would be great to buy something I need anyway and get the free calendar!

  2. Erin says:

Chickfila will also use the amount of the coupon toward any purchase. for example if you have the free chicken salad sandwich coupon but don’t like their chicken salad they will take the price of the chicken salad sandwich of your bill total so if you get a chickfila chicken sandwich meal say for $5 and the other sandwich was worth $3 your total will be $2

    • Angie says:

Thanks! This is great to know!

    • Michelle says:

That is great to know! I was wondering if they would do that…I don’t drink sodas so I was bummed that there were a couple coupons in there. I took the kids the other night and saw the deal, so I bought one. I go at least once a month for our Elementary school night, and spend around $20 for 5 of us, so what a great deal! I might get another one the next time I go!!

    • Rachel says:

Not every Chick-fil-A allows you to use the coupons like a gift certificate. It is different from store to store because every store is individually owned. You will just have to try and see if they will let you. I have worked for CFA for years :) Love the company and I am glad to see the calendars with lots of free items back!

      Hope this helps.

      • Susan says:

Actually, none of the Chick-fil-A’s are independently owned. They are all owned by Truett Cathy. They are OPERATED by different people—but Chick-fil-A’s are not franchised.

    • Emily says:

I think this is up to every store. My local store (Simpsonville, SC) will let you do a scenario like this - coupon for 3 chicken strips but instead I order the original sandwich. That’s okay because the sandwich costs less money than the strips. However, I cannot use the coupon like cash. For instance, I can’t give them a coupon for an original sandwich (let’s say $3) and actually order a chicken salad sandwich (let’s say $4) and expect only to pay $1. Sorry this is long and maybe it doesn’t make sense. The moral of the story - each store uses their own rules, so maybe check first before ordering!

  3. Michelle says:

Remmeber — Chick-Fil-A coupons don’t expire. Just like Bed Bath & Beyond coupons, you can use them after the expiration date!

    • Heather says:

UGH…I didn’t know that! I threw away a Free Milkshake coupon a few months ago because I didn’t think we had used it in time. Thanks for the heads up! I will know from now on. We usually don’t have that problem - we usually use the coupons within the first few days of the month!

  4. DJ says:

Last year, I bought several $5 gift cards for stocking stuffers to reach my $20 total and got the FREE calendar. I hope they let me do that again this year!

  5. Val says:

I bought the $20.00 gift card and got a Free Calendar and then turned around and bought another calendar using my gift card. The chick fila in Athens Alabama will let you use the coupons whenever you want, not just on the specified month that the coupon is attached too.

  6. Emily says:

Honestly I could buy a $20 giftcard to get the calendar and turn around and use the giftcard on a meal for my family!

  7. Wende says:

In the past years MOST of the coupons required you to buy something else to get the free item. - ex. Buy a chicken sandwich and get a free Sprite.

Does anyone know if this is the case again this year? The post makes it look like the items are totally free and in the past they are usually not.

  8. Becky says:

the coupons never expire! Chick fil a will take them anytime from any date!

  9. Sandra says:

Would I be able to buy two $10.00 gift cards and get a calendar?

  10. Joy says:

Thanks! Got my free calendar tonight and used the $20 giftcard to buy dinner we were going to buy anyway!

  11. Patty says:

Also Chick-Fil-A coupons never run out. They have taken some up to 5 years old. I have used the calendars ever since they came out and still have some of the first coupons and they still take them. They call me the coupons lady at the local Chick-Fil-A. I have 7 calendars so far this year. Go Chick-Fil-A
