If you have “The Pig” near you, then this is a great deal to run in a grab.

Now through 11/27, you can get a FREE Turkey with 5 Greenbax points!  The turkeys all have a US dollar price and a greenbax price listed on them.

If you have any Greenbax stored up how wonderful to get free food with them!!

(thanks Tori!)

Update:  It appears this is a deal for any Piggly Wiggly stores in the Carolina’s or Georgia.  Ask your local store if you are outside this area.

I shop at piggly wiggly when they have their buy one get one free meat sales! I wouldn't be able to make it any other way! I was just wondering why there isn't a tab for piggly wiggly on here?

I grew up with that being the main grocery store and then Kroger moved into town and it seems the pig went downhill after that. BUT i also worked there in my 20's during college and actually met my hubbie ( of 18 years) there. He was working there while he went to a different college. SOOO. Gotta love some Piggly Wiggly.

I'm sad to hear PW's aren't too good any more. I loved shopping at the Pig when I lived in Summerville.
  • Thank heavens they don't do actual books anymore.. I remember when you had to actually collect those dang things. But they do just accumulate when you buy anything.

Around here we suually use them for random things like eggs and sugar.. but I generally store mine up for Fair tickets, etc.

Except when my husband blows them on frying pans without asking.

Hope I have enough for the turkey! Thanks for the tip off!!

I so remember doing that with my sister when we were little. My mom used to give them to us to lick and stick. Then she would let us look at the catalog to pick out something we wanted. Too funny! Now I get mad at my hubby for wasting money there when he could have gone to Bi-Lo to get it cheaper. Needless to say he is not allowed to go grocery shopping.

Although I need to check his card to see if we can get a FREE turkey. He will never let me live it down if we can. he he he

I have a piggly wiggly in the area but I have never heard of a greenbax point, anybody know what this is?

The quality of PW's varies because some are locally owned and others are corporate stores. You accumulate Greenbax by buying things. I have LOTS of points because our Pig has gasoline. The only Pig I will shop at (for food) is out of my way but I still make it there about once a month. Each "book" of greenbax--you don't get an actual hardcopy book anymore--is worth about $1.50

Well, as far as I can tell, you accumulate Greenbax points and sometimes they'll ask you if you want to cash some in. For instance, the cashier might say, "You can get these eggs for free..do you want to cash in your Greenbax?" I have no idea how they accumulate (except that it's monitored through your PW card) because it's been ages since I stepped foot in ours.
