Used:
(2) -$2 off Huggies printables

Toys R Us - I did the deal as listed here.

(I know that has no factor in my weekly budget but it’s always fun to get a deal!

  • It was a good week for me at CVS.. i got the UP dvd for free after the $10 coupon and using my ecbs.

I also tried to get the learning caterpillar at target by price matching with the toys'r us ad and using the $10 target coupon, but they were completely sold out!! Hmmm, I must not be the only one in my area that reads Southern Savers!! On the bright side of my trip at target, I did get the glade candles deal and bought $14.97 worth of candles and up wipes for $1.55 and paid only 5.75 after coupons, plus I got the $5 gift card. I'm happy with that.

I also got the $20 thanksgiving gift cert at Food Lion and am about to spend it this week on turkeys and other holiday stuff.

I went to Bi-Low tonight and my total before my bi-lo bonus card or coupons was $70. After I scanned all of my coupons the total was $51 and then scanned my bi-lo bonus card which then brought the total down to $18. I just love watching the numbers decrease when standing at the register. If you plan on going to bi-lo and often times have trouble with your coupons scanning, try using your coupons before your bonus card. Even if you are going through the express (do it yourself) line you can scan your coupons and then at the end hit purchase more items and scan your bonus card and then pay.

Well, I wasn't looking forward to reporting this week because I thought I'd probably spent well over $100, with the possibility of having edged beyond my highest weekly spending for the past several months.

It started Saturday night when I did my only trip to Kroger for the week. Outside of the small items, the trip means that I won't have to fret over finding good toilet paper deals for the next few months, and I replenished our supplies of naproxen and ibuprofen, both of which have recently been decimated. They had very good prices on those.

    Kroger -
    Store Value - $109
    OOP - $28
    Savings - $81 (plus I have $3 more in OYNO's, and a pile of RC's)

    Publix -
Trip #1 - 1 box ea. Adult and Children's Tylenol, several chocolate chips, and oatmeal
    Store Value - $23.37
    OOP - $1.09
    Saved - $22.28

Trip #2 - was supposed to be small, but I wound up buying an embarrassing amount of Toll House refigerated cookies. I've never bought refigerated cookie dough. The kiddos think they're great. I don't care for them. They taste like the cookies from store bakeries to me.
    Store Value - $57.11
    OOP - $1.74
    Savings - $55.37

Trip #3 made up for my other OOP totals.
    Store Value - $75.87
    OOP - $19.24
    Savings - $56.63

    Publix weekly total -
    Value - $156.35
    OOP - $22.07
    Savings - $134.28

    Bi-Lo
I only made one trip on Wed., but I do want to go back and pick up a few more things. I'm happy to have a winter stock of applesauce and plenty of bread crumbs now.
    Store Value - $65.35
    OOP - $18.98
    Saved - $46.37

WAG's - I did buy a couple of monitors, but I'm not including their stated value in my calculations for savings. I was happy to get some Kleenex and to find a couple of tubes of appropriately shaded foundation for the girls. Finding Clearasil in stock made me most happy because store brand anti-acne products are among the few things we ever buy at Walmart.
    Store Value - $110.49
    OOP - $13.01
    Savings - $97.48

I managed to get my previous RR's rolled or spent, and even though I spent $10 worth at Publix, we ended the week with $43RR.

    Weekly totals -
    OOP - $82.06
    Value - $442.19
    Savings - $360.13

I did wind up spending $11.77 (Savings $27) at Target for 2 packs of wipe refills and "Up" BluRay/DVD. So, all shopping for the week did approach that $100.
  • Hope
I went to Target to do the deal on the Up and Monsters Inc. blueray dvd movies. The Up dvd was on sale for $19.99..better price than advertised!! The Monsters was $26.99. I had a $10.00 off for Up, $8.00 off for Monsters Inc, and $10.00 off when you but both! Target now price matches and Best Buy had Monsters Inc. for $18.99 so I went to get them to price match but in the Best Buy ad it said Monsters was $18.99 when you buy both Up and Monsters! So I could not get the price match but I still made out with a good deal!!!

24 cans of cashews? What was that coupon? Did they look at you funny? :-)
  • kelli
gold emblem nuts were bogo sunday-tuesday and I had a ton of the $2 off any 2 gold emblem nuts coupons. I also had a bunch of the $2 off $10 cvs brand products. I bought 8 cans at $4.99 each, bogo and used a $5/$20, (4) $2 off any 2 gold emblem nuts and (2) $2 off $10 cvs products. It ended up being $3.03 with tax for 8 cans. And yes, I think that the cashier thought that I was insane.

I discovered this week that the minimum price on items from Harris Teeter is apparently one cent! I had an awesome first run with their triples (spent $5.68 saved $38.87). Then I went back in 2 other baby runs to finish off the coupons I had. I bought only 1 Progresso broth and 2 Martha White muffin mixes. Total out of pocket, 3 cents. (Saved $5.13!) Then the next day I bought the last Progresso broth for which I had a coupon, and 2 Mazola Pure corn oils, again for 3 cents! I spent less than $5.75 for what I estimate was about $50 worth of food. Thanks Jenny!
  • savings this week:

    Used:
    15 B1G1 HE Qpons

  • was the HE on sale? besides the bogo Q, did you use another one b/c i can't figure it out?
  • kelli
they were on sale, buy one, get one free... so with the coupon, both were free. unfortunately I only had one coupon! :( I usually buy 3-5 papers per week, depending on how many coupons I think I'll use. That Sunday I was out of town and didn't manage to get the paper, I just had a handful of coupons my aunt gave me.
  • kelli
where's the herbal essence coupon from? I never shop at rite aid, but I'd love free shampoo!
  • So bummed that our Toys R Us was completely out of just about everything! But...deals are like buses, right? There's always another one coming along soon!
