Long weekends are very confusing.  I never really know what day it is.  I went to bed last night smiling because I got drugstore deals done earlier than usual, only to wake up this morning and realize that I forgot Friday Finals!

We had a big week between grocery shopping and Black Friday deals.  I took my Sister-in-law out Friday morning to show her the ropes.  We had a good time, but it also showed me that even after you actually go “drugstoring” it still might not make any sense.  I worked out her scenarios for her, which probably didn’t help her at all.  We got in the car and her first question was “Now how did you figure out what to buy?”

The highlight of the morning for me was being in a different city and running into someone using a Southern Savers shopping list.  I’m glad to see folks using it! (I didn’t share who I was but thanks for helping us find the Body Wash in Walgreens).

Now for our deals:

Bi-Lo:
Total before sales and coupons: $80.10
Total Spent: $39.39
Total Saved: $40.71 or 50.8%

I also have 20 cents off per gallon in FuelPerks! saved on my card now.

Walgreens:
Total before sales and coupons: $32.03
Total Spent: $3.10
Total Saved: $28.93 or 90%

Walgreens Tip:  Use any RR left for things you need if you don’t think you’ll be back.  We used the final RR to pay for Cottonelle Toilet Paper 12 rolls.  Free good toilet paper might be the best Black Friday deal they had!

Rite Aid:
Total before sale and coupons: $27.19
Total Spent after Rebates: $2.67
Total Saved: $24.52

Tip from Rite Aid:  My total was $20, and I had a $5 off $25 coupon.  Grab something that you need that costs around $5, rather than not using the store coupon.  We got completely free Viva Towels 6 pk this way!

Weekly Totals:
Before sales and coupons: $139.32
Spent: $45.16
Saved: $94.16 or 67.5%
