**Note: FL and Coastal GA stores DO NOT participate in the Penny Item**
A thought… You will not get much closer to free, so if you don’t need, like or want this item, then give it away. There are many folks that would probably love it!

Ok! My kids eat hot dogs….Then I’ll go to Kroger for the meat deals.
barf…
Really?! You needed to comment with that? What happened to if you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all?
Well did the first lady really need to comment that? Its as useless as well. I just said my opinion like her. I have been sick and the thought of a hot dog makes me want to hurl. who cares.
Oh and yes I will still get them and give them away. That would be dumb not to. (just in case you wanted to attack me about that)
Well, your comment is not very nice itself.
She said “barf.” Big deal. I actually laughed out loud when I read her comment. I think “barf” myself when I see or think about a hot dog.
It’s the internet, it’s not that serious.
ladies, ladies……we are talking hot dogs here
wow, I also like the comment “if you don’t have any thing nice to say don’t say it at all” this is my favorite web page and I haven’t ever really heard anyone talk like this for an unnecessary reason! Ladies where is the Southern hospitality???
was this nice? Or are you just reminding stephanie to “do as I say,not as I do?” LMBO!!!! :)
At my Publix this morning (Gainesville, GA) the penny item was Fully Cooked Publix Bacon!!! :)
Hi Cecilia, is that the Thompson Bridge Road or Dawsonville Hwy. store? Thanks in advance!
I’d like to see my branch do that! I’ve heard that about 2/3 of their customers are Orthodox Jews. Fried bacon, haha. I got the Kosher hot dogs paid mostly for by a store credit of 1.98 or whatever the price was. :)
My Publix had the 16 ct. Publix brand cheese singles for the penny item! :-)
Since they will provide the kosher version if you only eat kosher, I wonder if they will provide the veggie version if you’re a vegetarian?
I’m a vegetarian, so I’m very interested in the answer to this question.
Duluth Hwy in Lawrenceville was subbing Spaghetti sauce. Not house brand, but I forget the name at the moment. Nice big jar.
I got them and we ate some for lunch! I thought they were pretty good considering it cost me only a penny!
I just pulled some out of the freezer from the last penny item sale and those dogs are delish…. well, for a penny at least.
My 10 year old doesn’t like them. He says they are “spicy”. I think they do have some spices added. So I will throw them in the freezer and wait for a chance to donate them. I took my last penny hot dogs to a church cookout (just one example of how they can be donated).

Sorry for the double post. I think my mouse has gotten too sensitive! :-)
help help..my antivirus does not let me instal coupon printer..anybody knows how to help..thanks Anna!
You will have to disable your antivirus then install it and enable the antivirus when your finished. The antivirus should be under, start, all programs, then find whatever you have….
Thank you so much,i’ll try that!
Why don’t the Florida Publix stores participate in the Penny Sale?! I am in Florida and the wife/caregiver of a schizophrenia patient. I need EVERY possible opportunity to save money!
I was told that Publix in Florida do not participate in the penny item nor do they allow you to buy on B1G1 product for 1/2 price b/c they don’t have competition. Where as the other states have Kroger and Ingles to compete with.
I’m in the Charleston area and I don’t think we have Kroger or Ingles around here. I would think Albertson’s in FL would be a serious competitor…
Cheryl, I try to advocate for the mentally ill as much as possible. If you will contact me kjeffares@comcast.net and let me know what Q’s you use the most I will try to help.
Am I correct in assuming you only get 1 pack of hotdogs for every $10 transaction?
Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but I am new at this.
Only one penny item per customer - no matter the amount of your order (beyond $10). Sometimes I work out a trade with another couponing friend. For example, she likes the hotdogs - I like the toilet paper… Hotdogs are not our fave, but they do make for a great trade!
You can do multiple penny items but only if you break it out into multiple transactions and be prepared to have multiple penny item coupons. I have had some managers let me have more than one penny item if the total before coupons was substantial but I wouldn’t count on it.
The Fence Rd. Publix had the 4-pk green giant veggies (corn, peas or green beans)!!
Super! Hot dog…pardon the pun!!! :o)
Those must have sold out fast, b/c when I went this morning, they had bottled drinks…Hawaiian Punch, A&W, Ginger Ale, Big Red, etc.
Albany, GA does not participate in penny deals or double coupons. :-( Is there a way to appeal to the district office? They told me it was a district policy.
Thanks!
being a publix employee..Albany,Thomasville and Valdosta are in the Jacksonville Division, they do not participate in the Atlanta Division promotions.
My store lets me get the beef franks as we do not eat pork but will not do Kosher since there is not a Kosher Publix Dog
My store in Toco Hills, Atlanta, gave me a credit for the amount of the Publix dog, but I had to get any kosher dog and pay the difference.
I was going to get the hot dogs to donate but my Publix in Lex, SC had chocolate covered frozen bananas as an alternative- I couldn’t resist :)
Yea! 5 lb bag of Publix sugar…that was great for me as I hate hotdogs!!
My kids don’t like any hot dogs and I can’t really complain about that! We just gave ours away to somebody who can use them.
If I want more than one penny item then I just make more than one trip. We’re lucky to live a few miles away from the store.
What happens if they run out? Is there an IOU policy? or only as supplies last?
My store would not substitute kosher or beef hot dogs. I even asked at customer service and they called over a manager to confirm it. Kind of annoyed me, but it’s no different than the penny item being something that my family refuses to eat (like gross fake meat hot dogs, lol). Oh well, there’s always next weekend…
My store ran out of hot dogs early, substituted oatmeal, ran out of that and by the time I got there last evening the Penny item was Publix brand 2 liter soda’s. What a disappointment! We don’t drink soda…… Put I’m not really complaining, I appreciate all the penny items that I am able to use!
the publix in hermitage,tn & mt juliet,tn has quit taking target coupons…fyi…i am soooo upset!
