My store said the RR deal ended today?

I should explain that I was just in that store yesterday doing the ALmay mascara deal without any problems!! I explained this to the MGR and she looked at me like she could have cared less. I refuse to spend any money in a place that's going to make me look like a thief in front of other customers!!!

I went to Wags this morning planning on using my 3RR to do the buy 3 J & J deal get $8 RR back. The cashirt rang up my 3 lotions and I gave her my coupons and then my RR and we finished the transaction. No RR!! I asked why, she had to call a MGR and the MGR explained to me that they are now (in 1 days time!!) on a new system and I can expect no to get any RR when I use RR for the same product(s). I asked her then what was the point of the RR system and she said I can still use them it was just that they weren't making any money off of the transactions and that they were paying us to come in and buy. I said "YEAH!! and CVS and Rite Aid to it every week without any problems!!" I made sure she undertood I would not under any circumstances be shopping at that store again. Why can't they all be like CVS??

So, the deal is slowly disappearing. I went to one Walgreens where the deal was working yesterday, and today they fixed the "glich". Then I went to another Walgreens and the deal worked on the Foundation and One Coat Mascara B1G1. Buuuuuuuut, it did NOT work on the 2 one coat mascaras to get overage. Weird! The cashier said that an email had gone out for them to fix the problem. Bummer!

I did this deal on Monday with no problems. It all rang up BOGO. But today I went to the same Walgreens and it was a no go. They knew about this and even showed me the email from corporate indicating that if the systems rings BOGO that the employee must make the correction and if anyone allows the transation to procede with the BOGO that that employee would be fired. I did get the bonus packs bogo 1/2 and I was able to use the $4.00 coupon for each one I bought. So I still think I was a great deal.

This worked for me today in Hoover, AL. As an FYI is anyone gets PEOPLE magazine (my MIL passes hers on to me) there was a $4.00 off coupon for Pure Blends makeup in an issue from a few weeks ago. Can't remember the date, but it was the one with Jaycee Dugger on the cover. Anyway, that was applied to my deal!

For anyone that this deal is still working for , you can turn your $5 RR into $10 . For each transaction buy one Pure blends makeup and one One coat mascara . Use the $5 off wags coupon from the Nov book since the mascara will come off as free the $4 come off too [towards your makeup ] then use the $5 RR . I had to pay .99 plus tax and got my $10 RR so almost doubled my rr. Do these transaction separately. So you can turn each $5 into a $10 . I may have to go and start over again . lol So far my store has not chaged in getting them Free . I wish I could get out to a wags more often or try the others in my area lol

Yes but only the $5 one that comes from the Pure mascara and did not buy another pure mascara just one of the one coat so I got that free with the B1G1 [I so hope my store doesnt change this] . Guess the $10 is good for that , I did not try the $10 to get another $10. Was not going to risk that one lol .

The $4 coupon also only rings once for me, but when I asked the cashier if I could use 2 coupons since I was buying two products, she scanned one mascara and then the coupon then scanned tho other mascara and the coupon again and the register said they owed me a refund of $0.52. I've done this twice and I probably won't do it anymore b/c I don't want to get her in trouble. She was glad that I showed her that and said she was going to do it for herself.

I am in the Mount Dora/Leesburg area and the deal is still working! Heads up though on the bonus packages....... I tried to get the One Coat mascara with the bonus eyeliner and one with the bonus eye makeup remover and the $4 coupon would not work on these. I tried it at 2 different stores and both times I had to put those back and get regular single mascaras and the deal worked as expected.

Even better...do not go to the Almay section, go to the "new" or "sets" isle in the cosmetics dept. You will see a double pack of Almay onecoat mascara...it rings the same price as a single and is also ringing as part of the B1G1 and use the coupon, get 4 for free instead of 2!

The Walgreens @ Pelham Road and Roper Mt Rd Extension in Greenville is still ringing up @ B1G1 as of last night! As a filler item I bought a Suave Shampoo and a Suave Conditioner @ $1 each! They were out of the foundation, so I walked out with 2 Mascaras, and a shampoo and a conditioner for $2.58 oop including tax!

There is a coupon $1/2 Suave in the 10/25 RP - so I will go back again today!

I absolutlely love this website! I can't say thank-you enough for the money you are saving my family :) You are doing an amazing service - especialy in these economic times. AS far as this Wags Almay deal - I live in Cola, SC and all stores seem to be different. The one thing I have run into is the foundation being out of stock at most stores. I notice some people indicating that they plan to return multiple times to maximize their profits - thats great and all - but please be courteous of others and share the wealth a little! My Walgreens on Broad River Rd and St. Andrews Rd in Columbia, SC still has BOGO-free on the almay mascara. They are running out of the combo packs but I found a few in front of the make-up counter. I haven't done the foundation yet b/c I'm not sure I want to spend the money on something I won't use.

I think Walgreens fixed the BOGO on the Almay Masacara. I did it a few times the past few days and it worked perfect, but tried it again tonight and it only came up buy 1 get 1 50% off........Oh Well!! I think I got 30 Mascaras for Female Marines in Iraq!! Thanks Walgreens!!

I went to the Walgreens in University City (Charlotte) and they told me that they don't have the coupon books yet. I was bummed ... until I noticed a $3RR sticking out of the machine that was facing right at the customers! I stood there to see if anyone was collecting it, no one was around and finally just took it, lol. It was literally found money but obviously the person who had it coming to them left and never even realized it! I have a $3 RR now to do that first deal! Whooohooo! I'm off to find a store that has the coupon book now! ;D

The Pure Blends rang up BOGO (even though the sticker said BOG50off. I also was able to get the 10+5RR! The cashier had NO idea those coupons were coming and she couldn't figure it out. She acted like she didn't think she should give them to me. I stuck out my hand and said "it happened just like it was supposed to." She was shocked! I am in Summerville,SC and I was in Wags here last night around 10:15 pm. The registers were closed because they were updating all their systems to "ring up the correct prices for various items." When I tried at several Wags locations down here, they all scanned for B1G1 50% :(. Still an awesome deal on the pure blends though!

What other stores will take the RR that print out? I saw someone posted that Harris Teeter does, just wondering if Bi-Lo or anywhere else does b/c it says under the getting started on Walgreens page that they can only be used at Walgreens. Thanks!

I looked tonight at my Walgreens and they didn't have the 6 oz lubriderm, they only had the 16 oz and it was 6.99 or 7.99. I picked up a Diabetes and You magazine and it didn't have the coupon in it. We had the fall magazine. The post for RR for lubriderm said you get $2 if you buy 2 and $8 if you buy 3.

This is great! I think I am going to go try it in Columbia, SC tomorrow if the almay stuff is still ringing up BOGO-free. I was just wondering for the lubriderm, does the coupon that you found in the diabetes and you magazine autimatically scan 3 times or is it something that the clerk has to do? Thanks.

The cashier just has to scan it once, and it will automatically come off three times, for a total of $3. Good luck!

Oh, and I forgot to mention that there's a $5 mail-in rebate for the Dulcolax available on their website, making that deal a $5 money-maker.

I went today and tried buying the Pure Blends Mascara. It rang up BOGO free (even tho it was marked BOGO 50% off). The $4 coupons in the walgreens Nov book would not scan because they are for the ONE COAT mascara NOT the Pure Blends. If that had worked, I would have gotten the $5 RR with it. However I went back and got the One coat mascara, it rang up BOGO free, and they took off $4 twice and it said they owed me .47 cents!! The cashier seemed a little puzzled and I didn't want her to get a manager or anything so I just added the Pure Blends foundation and I paid a little over 9 bucks and got 10 dollars RR back. There are NO Register rewards for the One Coat mascara. This is Southern Pines, NC Walgreens. Still a great deal to me! 9.50 OOP and 10 in RR back! You can use the RR from Walgreens at Harris Teeter?! I knew that it was possible to use a "competitors coupon for $ off a total purchase" but I didn't know they'd accept catalinas from another store? My store won't accept print-out (like from the internet) competitor coupons.

Jessica O, There was not supposed to be any rr for the one coat mascara, there are two seperate deals. If you would've added the pure blends mascara to your order you would have gotten it for free and got an additional $5 rr. Just a thought! :)

This is not working in Nashville as far as I know. I just went to try it out and they split the $4 off coupon between my 2 One Coat mascaras. Then the Pure Blends foundation and mascara rang up buy one get one 50% off. My total was $19 after coupons. I told them no thanks and left.

Went to my Walgreens last night and got some AMAZING deals... was going to do the PureBlends Almay deal, BUT my WAGS had the foundation for 13.99... where do you guys get the 9.99 price? Is it on sale?

UPDATE: Even though my store has the PureBlends marked 13.99, I tried the deal anyway... it rang up 9.99! Bought the mascara too, it rang up 6.99, at the end, it ended up FREE, and printed out my $10 and $5 RR and the Cashier looked at me and said "How'd you get THAT!?"... I told her and she said "I'm going to go get me one of those!"... my next transaction was the two mascara packs (6.99 each, B1G1), my daughter needed pads that were not on sale and my hubby picked up several kitchen items on clearance... my total...$1.99... Again, the cashier, said "No way... how'd you do that?? Can you adopt me for a day and take me shopping with you??" She was great, my kids and my hubby were very proud of their "couponing wife & mommy"!!! Yay!!

Still working here in central FL. Went to two different Walgreens and did each of the deals twice at each store. Don't forget to look for the bonus packs of the Almay one coat mascara, they work too. My stores had packs with a bonus mascara and packs with a bonus eye liner.

I will try to help you...

this particular deal is set up so that if you buy an Almay pure blends foundation at $9.99 you will get a RR for $10, essentially making it free. Likewise, another deal being offered is buying the Almay pure blend mascara at $6.99 and you will receive a $5 RR making it "like" you only pay $1.99 for that particular mascara. These are new monthly deals that have not been advertised in the weekly circular. Some stores have a red index card size sticker below the product with the info. If not, your store is still probably doing the deal, as these are national.

Additionally, this week, Almay products are advertised at B1G1 @50% off, so you can buy the pure blends foundation at $9.99 and the pure blends mascara at 50% off = $3.49 and get back both the $10 and $5 RR....

HOWEVER, some areas are reporting that the register is actually ringing up the deal as a B1G1 FREE.. which means you will only pay the $9.99 for the foundation, the mascara is free and you will still receive the $10 and $5 RR, as the RR machine is programmed to print out the RR based on what products ring up, not necessarily if it is ringing up for $0.00.

"In general" catalina coupons print out based on the register ringing up the exact product that is supposed to produce the catalina, doesn't matter how many deals that give back RR's in a transaction or how much you end up paying for it with combos of coupons*** and in store sales, the important thing is to get the correct product.

When I first started in April, a lot of these deals were so hard to understand, but 6 mo into my couponing,I can read these posts and know exactly how to work the deal.. it gets easier to understand and reading these comment sections is a BIG HELP!!

***there are a few rules that must be followed when using coupons and RR's to pay for items, you can read them in the getting started guide.
The bullet points to remember: # of total coupons (rr's are coupons too) handed over must equal # of items the register rings up; rr's from a deal will pay for another exact deal, but will NOT produce the a new RR; must use rr's from a different company/deal if you want the new RR to print. Hope this helps :)

I went to Walgreens tonight and picked up 2 different Almay mascaras and although they were both on the B1G1 1/2 off deal and both said $6.99 at the register one rang up $6.99 and one $7.99. I ended up putting one back and got 2 of the same mascaras that were number 402. I asked the cashier if I could use 2 of the $4 off coupons and was telling her about this amazing site and she said she had been on here and it was the best one by far. She rang up both mascaras and scanned the coupon but it only took $4 off. Then she voided everything and scanned one mascara then the coupon and scanned the other mascara and scanned the coupon again. Somehow it came up that Walgreens owed me $0.52 which I don't understand since the total price should have been $10.50 - $8. She was excited and so was I.

I went to the one on the corner of Broad River Rd and St. Andrews in Columbia, SC

I bought two packages of one coat mascaras but they rang up BOGO 50% off. The register did take the $4 off twice. Also, the mascara was in a specially marked double pack, ended up paying $2.50 for 4. I purchased the foundation and a lip gloss, they also rang up BOGO 50% off. I needed Triaminic and used the Walgreens Q's for $2 off and the $3Q from last weeks(?). Picked up a few small items and used a $25 transfered perscription check and ended up paying $9.17 for all and walking out with $20 in RR. Didn't go exactly how I planned but I'm not complaining, thought I did pretty good for a newbie!

You have to add a filler item when purchasing 2 mascaras. The total before coupons will be $7.99 and the total before tax has to be at least $8 for the coupon to automatically ring up twice.

Thanks for explaining...I tried with 2 mascaras and they wouldn't take both coupons. I just didn't get it! Tomorrow I may try a different store now that I know I need an additional item.

I just got back from Walgreens too and the I bought 2 of the Almay one coat they were marked B1G1 50% off @ $6.99 but rang up BOGO and only took one $4 off, also they were already out of foundation so I bought 2 of the pure blend mascaras @ $7.99 which also rang up BOGO and gave me the $5RR. I asked the sales clerk on why it only gave me one of the $4 off and she said that it was because the 2nd one was free so did not count. Still what a great deal to get 4 mascaras for $5.98 + tax. I just went and did this deal. I added one of the blistex on sale with RR to my order to cover the overage on the Wags coupon on the mascara thinking that if it took $4 off twice that was more than the cost of 1 mascara at full price and that is why you did not get the $8 total off. It worked for me and I got the $2.50 RR back for the blistex. Used a $1 RR and paid total of $1.14 including .66 tax OOP and got the $2.50 RR. Looking at my receipt it deducted the Wags coupon total first $8, then my $1 RR I used to pay and finally the $6.99 for the free mascara. Plan to go back tomorrow and try it again at another store. HTH

Just tried it again at another Walgreens and it worked perfectly bought an additional 4 mascaras 2 of the one stroke BOGO and 2 of the pure blend BOGO got $8 off the 2 and $5RR on the other two. Still no Foundation but did manage to swipe up the last 2 of the 3 wick glade candles for $4.99 each used 2 $3 coupons and $1/2 glade products that was on the other side of the coupon (this did not ring up but manager fixed it) so got both for $1.49 each so 2 candles and 4 mascaras for $4.96 + tax....getting better. Thanks to all the hard work and everyones help in getting the newbies going ;)

I bought the 4 mascaras all in 1 transaction and also had some rain checks that made sure for men and pert plus for men free but wouldnt the 2nd set of mascaras have covered the overage to get both $4 off?

I just got home from two Walgreens in Bham with no luck. First store didn't have the November coupon books and said they proably wouldn't get any until December??? The next store I went to did have the books with the mascara coupon but was $4. off a different kind and not the blends. I just wish all Wags prices were the same.

the coupons in the books are for a different type..not the blends..but the ones that match the coupons are 6.99 and ring up BOGO (at least at most stores it seems)...and if you add an item so that your total is over 8.00 then when they scan the coupon it "Should" take 4.00 off twice so both mascaras end up being free. At our Walgreens they have the mascaras with a free eye liner on the package so two mascaras, and two eyeliners for FREE!! Hope that helps. :)

I live in Tampa, FL and went to Walgrens around 10:00 am. I bought the Almay foundation and mascara. I thought I should have gotten 1/2 off of the mascara but was charged full price (they did let me use the $4.00 coupon). Additionally I only receive $10.00 in register rewards. Should I have gotten $5.00 as well? The ad does not say anything about register rewards nor was it marked at my Walgreens. Is this sale posted some other place that I can take it with me? Deal worked fine for me here in Central Fl. I got both deals, cashier was amazed and said she was going to do it after I left. Going back later to do both again and use my RR to get cheap/free diapers.

I went to the store in Spartanburg, SC & they rang up as a B1G1 50% off not BOGO.

I just went and was going to get the Almay mascara for free. But the cashier said the computer would only take off one coupon because it was BOGO. She also said that corporate had changed their policy and if it was BOGO, you could only use one coupon. Has anyone else ran into this?

Angela, I'm in Cleveland, TN.- and the Walgreens down the road will only take off (1) time (automatic, even though I added a filler item to reach the $8 mark). However, across town, it took off twice. Go figure, must be store-by-store and not exactly corporate wide.

Where do you get the November coupon book?

In any of the Walgreens I have gone to ,they are in stand holder by the front doors , where the weekly ad is held

Oh I so hope they dont quit this I would so love to get on a good Almay deal but cant get out today . This cold has finally gotten me down lol and by tomorrow it may be over with . Love Almay tho and have been having to go with cheap covergirl cvs deals lol Almay works so much better with much less iritation on my skin !!!!!

It is an unadvertised monthly deal for the RR. Some stores put out little red cards to mark the monthly deals and for other stores you will just have to step out on faith, but it will print :)

As long as you aren't using a RR from the exact same deal you can pay with a RR and get a new RR back.

The same thing happened to me, so it ended up being $3.99/2, which isn't a bad price, but I'm not much of a makeup user.

Just went to Walgreens in Plant City, FL. The signs say buy 1 get one 50% Almay off but mine rang up B1G1 free! I am going to use my RR money to purchase the 2010 Entertainment Book which is $35.00. There is a $10.00 Walgreens coupon which makes it $25.00. The $15.00 RR money can be used to buy the book! So you end up paying $10.00 for it what a deal!!

Yes, they are monthly RR deals. $10 on the Foundation, $5 on the mascara or the eyeshadow.

I was reading somewhere else that Walgreens has now fixed the error, and it is ringing up B1G1 50% off.

It is still ringing up B1G1 in West Columbia on August Hwy, but at the one across from Piggie Park it is ringing up B1G1 50%...

How much did you end up paying at the one on Augusta Rd? I was just wondering if the $4 coupon scanned twice.

Perhaps the ad is different in your area. They are B1G1 50% off in my area and that is how they are ringing up.

I just got back from Walgreens in Jacksonville Florida...first of all the ONE Coat mascara is not ringing up BOGO free..Its BOGO half off...Second the $4.00 off coupon in the monthly add is for the PURE BLENDS mascara NOT the one coat Mascara...They would NOT let me use the $4.00 off coupon.......Also the 5 dollar RR is only on the Pure blends mascara....The foundation is not 9.99 either where i shopped...its between 12.99 and 14.99....also no RR on the foundation at all......so im very confused on this deal people are getting

I went to the Wags on Old St. Augustine Rd and it worked perfectly. Got two one coat mascaras, used the $4 coupon for them and it came off twice as it should - also rang as BOGO. Also bought the Pure blends foundation (shelf said something like $14 but rang up at $9.99) and a pure blends lip gloss - rang up as BOGO too. Used a $5RR and paid $6.24 - got $10RR and $5RR. I'm thrilled!

Jennifer, I also, live in Jax. I and several of my friends have been to many Walgreens (Southside & Northside) Almay Mascara has double packs (2 tubes or 1 tube with eyeliner) which ring up BOGO and when you give the $4 coupon they end up taking off $8. Some of my friend have actually receive refunds for buying the products. My cashier was flustered and got the manager, so I buy gum or something on sale. Good-Luck finding a Deal :)

Hey jennifer I went to the walgreens on atlantic and it is terrible its not current at all!

My Wags is not very efficent at posting the proper prices. Currently the prices are listed at 13.99 in the store, but actually ring up 9.99. I usuallu find that prices on this website are more accurate than the store so i will ask the cashier to do a price check if they don't match up. Hope this helps.

These are NOT ringing up as BOGO free at all locations. I just did the deal and only got BOGO half off. Lexington KY
