I don’t think that people are being greedy in all cases. I know people who make their grocery money through these deals, even through the follow-up garage sales. Please don’t judge, because situations are different for different people.

Thanks Jenny! I just started using coupons and RR at Walgreens. Thanksgiving morning I was able to get: Dove deodorant,Vaseline lotion, and a 12 pack of Cottonelle toilet paper (along with a couple of Christmas bags and pens for fillers) for .89! It was the first time I did more than one transaction and the cashier was very nice and helpful.

My Walgreens took the Publix coupon with no problem although they would not let me use all of my RR’s in one day (see note above).

I went to Wags today and tried to use the $1 off 2 scotch mailers coupon. It clearly says Manufacturer coupon on top but in the bottom right it says redeem at Publix. The cashier didn’t even try to scan it and asked a manager who said said it was a Publix coupon and I couldn’t use it. After debating with her, I left all my merchandise and walked out. Is there a policy on this I can print or should I just look for another store to shop?

the RR’s are only one per deal. you would have had to ring up the infusiums in 2 seperate trans. to get 2 RR’s.

I tried the RR program at Walgreens on Hwy 31 in Hoover, AL for the first time today. I was hesitant after reading all the negative comments about Walgreens. When I went to the register for my third transaction, the cashier told me that was the last transaction I would be allowed today. He said it was store policy. Really? I’m only allowed to spend money three times a day? I had spent almost $20 cash plus my RR’s. I politely left with $12.50 in RR I was not allowed to use. I will go back and buy non-RR items to use up my RR’s but will shop at Rite Aid and CVS in the future.

Went to Walgreens for the Infusium deal I bought 2 Infusiums and a piece of candy. I used 2 manuf. qs. and a RR. The macince only printed out 1 – $5 RR. I thought I would get 2 – $5 RRs. Should I have bought them together? Will it not print both RRs in the same transaction?

I went to my local Wags this morning and got most of the free items *but* interestingly enough they had put a limit of 1 on each freebie…they stated since it was a 3 day sale it was to keep more stock on the shelf…hmmmm i thought, but okay and I proceeded to get 1 of each deal..I left and went to another Wags further up the road and lo and behold NO LIMITS….ya know the variations drive me crazy…However I did do several deals at this location and got everything I wanted and no whacky situations developed….BTW Babyphat Fabulousity Perfume which is normally around 35.00+ is on sale for 75% off so its ringing up at 9.00 and change…I got 2 of those with RR…My girls and sister are going to love their gift baskets this year

I agree people are greedy. what happens a lot of times is they are just buying all of these things to resell in a yard sale to make a bigger profit. I once saw it posted (don’t remember where) how much to price items they had bought at drug stores to sell at yard sales. What a shame people have to be so greedy.

Just got back from my first Walgreens trip (post-Southern Savers!!) Went pretty smoothly, other than hardly any of the sale items (esp the week long items) were marked. I’ll know to take my own sale flyer next time!!! Had a very helpful manager & cashier that answered all my questions. Ended up with $86.39 worth of stuff for $18.63. My mom was with me and threw in some things that weren’t on sale or it would have been better:) Happy Thanksgiving All!!!!

So the way I understand what you are saying is that if my number of items matches up with the number of my RR, I can still use Walgreens in-ad coupons (for the filler items, etc.) and it will go through. Is that right?

Or is it possible the register rewards don’t print for clearance items? But, then again, a few weeks ago, the Bic Soleil were on clearance and I still got the register rewards…

I went in a walgreen’s i haven’t been in before. They had certain shades of the Almay Pure Blends Foundation on clearance for $3.59 and I thought “hot dog! a money maker.” They were only 4 of them, so I told the cashier that I wanted them rung up in seperate transactions. He said that I could only do 2 transactions. So, I just did the 2 transactions. I was distracted with a fussy baby, and he put my receipts in my bags. When I got home, I didn’t get my register rewards! Is there anything I can do? I was thinking that If I can’t somehow get my register rewards, then I’ll just return the items.

I was told by a Walgreen’s employee in Belmont, NC, on Wednesday night that the 3-day pricing would kick in at 12 am Thursday. So I stayed up … Bad move. None of the RRs are printing at this time, and management had no idea when they would start. I managed to get a refund on all items, but I lost significant coupons (they couldn’t retrieve them) and 3RR. I am not a happy shopper at this time, and Walgreen’s has some making up to do!

Both Walgreens by my house will not let you do more than one transaction at a time. (Even if no one else is in line.) If you find a cashier that will let you, they complain about it. Why can’t they just smile…like at CVS and Rite Aid!!!!

I think the diabeties booklet coupon is a manufacturer coupon. The coupons you are looking for are both in the “Healthy Savings to help you Stay Healthy-All Season Long” booklet. Someone above said they had a November issue of this. I don’t have that, but that is the wrong one if you do.

I mastered Walgreens first too, and then started learning CVS. I must say CVS is sooooo much better. It is so much easier, the people are so much nicer, and they all seem to know how to work the register better. In the morning I am buying the free items, then there great deals immediately so I don’t have rolling rrs. I can’t stand Walgreens anymore. I only go in now for really, really good deals, free things or money makers.

All of the booklets at my store are in the pharmacy area. Not sure why, but if you don’t know where to look you would completely miss them. They are on the inside of the pharmacy on partition between main store and pharmacy.
