Claire’s has a fun Secret Santa site that they started yesterday that comes with a great perk.  You will get a coupon via email for $5 off any $10 purchase good through 1/11/10.

Heres how:

  1. Go here and set up a Secret Santa Circle.
  2. Email your husband or a friend to join your circle (you have to have at least two)
  3. Set your “circle” to draw names tomorrow.
  4. Tomorrow you will get an automated email with your coupon.

I did this and emailed the invite to another email I have and it worked perfectly.  One of my twins only request for Christmas is new pink headbands so this should help for her present!

Fine Print of the coupon:  One coupon per purchase.  Cannot be combined with any other coupon or discount.  Not valid on the purchase of ear piercing, gift cards, prior purchases, or employee purchases.

Jenny - any clue how this works? I got 3 friends signed up .. now what? What initiates the $5 coupon??

It sends the email the day you set to draw names or the person that organized it can go and click the button to draw names now. It will draw names and send you the email.

I received a text asking me to reply with COUPONS, SAMPLES, SHOP, OR SWEEPS. I used coupons and it replies they dont have any, and I used samples, and apparently they dont have any of those either.

Sorry, I replied on the wrong post.

Just don't put in a cell phone number when you sign up. I didn't and they didn't ask again for it. :)

BEWARE of the texting charges that you might get from this.

I had an impossible time removing texting from a similar promotion from another company that cost me over $50 over the course of the 6 months it took me to get it removed. It was ridiculously hard to fight it.

I don't know if this one will work that way, but I figured pass the word.

If you have US Cellular in your area, you get free texts. I am not a text messenger, but I am signed up for numerous companies text offers because some of them are really great deals. As long as I don't send a message, it is free. I am sure other smaller cell phone companies offer the same.

(this is a different Jamie than the author of the original post).... Are you talking about the Claire's deal? or the Food Lion Freebies Deal?
