Jacksonville Florida Stores had no idea what I was talking about and acted like I was insane!

I am an optometrist----and I really like this site for couponing but I just want to let everyone know that this is one time when you really get what you pay for----I don't recommend going to chain stores because they treat you like cattle. A private office is so much more thorough and while most people think they are just there for glasses or contact lenses, like any other doctor visit, the doctor is looking for diseases you might not know you have, that affect you systemically like diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol, etc. No one thinks anything about paying to go to their PCP You should treat your eyes the same way. BTW if you are looking for something worthwhile and you care about the sight of your children check out InfantSEE.com---it has lots of great info about your baby and also provides a list of doctors who provide a no charge COMPREHENSIVE eye examination (not a screening) for infants 6-12 months.

Thanks for the reminder...so true! A friends mother went to her optometrist and they found a melanoma on her retina....saved her life!

Thanks for the info and I agree. Your eyes are not something to mess around with. I go to the best optomoligist I think there is and she just performed surgery on both my eyes. I do thank the good Lord that I have insurance as a lot of people don't have.

Both of the stores in Fayetteville, GA are participating. The stores are located in Walmart. Thanks for the awesome info, our eyes will appreciate it.

I don't know why they published this ad b/c no one in my area knows anything about this deal. I'm in NC. I wanted to contact their corp office, but they said their corporate office is in San Antonio but there are about 10 locations to choose from in San Antonio.

When I called stores in Charlotte area, they sounded like they had no idea what this is. Also, only got a recording at the 800 number when I was trying to find out if there's a store near me offering it. Could REALLY use this with three of us due for exams.

I just contacted my local valuvision - and they told me they wouldn't be doing the $1.00 exam tomorrow....is there a corporate number I can call or is this not something all stores are doing?
