It says due to overwhelming response, these are no longer available.
  • I did it without a problem. I am unsure about the extra charges as my company pays for my phone.

I send a text with the word coupon and it said to send one with the word Alerts and it would send me alerts telling when they had new coupons, samples, and sweeps.

I've participated in other ShopText programs in the past & have never incurred any extra fees from ShopText on my bill.

Jenny I would love to do this but the texting is new to me. And need clarification on how and are there possible charges. thx

It asked me all kinds of crazy questions on my phone and then said it didn't understand the answers. For example, it asked for my zip code, and when I replied with the zip code, it said it didn't understand my text. They better not be charging me for this! I have unlimited text messaging through Verizon.

I received a text asking me to reply with COUPONS, SAMPLES, SHOP, OR SWEEPS. I used coupons and it replies they dont have any, and I used samples, and apparently they dont have any of those either.

We have premium text messaging blocked on our cell account. When I entered my phone number to register, I received an alert on my phone that a premium message had been blocked. That is not conclusive evidence that messages from this company may involve extra fees beyond standard text fees, but it may be a good indication. If anyone else knows more about this, I'd love to hear. (I use Verizon.)

ok i am always wearry of stuff like this only charges are standard text rates right? And since i have teen daughter and son and they average 1500 texts a month each and i have unlimited plan (learned that the hard way) i should not incur any extra charges right unless they tell me up front and i appove.

Does anyone know if they sell your number or something? I hate giving out this kind of information with out any kind of privacy agreement and I have not found one at the site.
  • Meri
Found the Privacy Policy but still do not like the idea of providing a credit/debit card. Has anyone had any problems with this?
  • Annamarie
the debit/credit card is optional and available only if you want to order.

Premium Text Messages are billed differently than normal texts. There is a normal charge of $9.99 monthly depending on the company and phone plan. I have also blocked these messages because of the charges they can accrue. Not fun! I also use Verizon. When this happened to us a few months back, we had to call them and have them block these texts, credit us back the money, and we had to call the company that sends these texts.

I just read the entire user agreement and I can't find anything that states that we will be charged for the text messaging. This is not a Premium Text message. I recieve text messages from Bath and Body Works all of the time and I am never charged a Premium Text messaging charge. So I believe this to be a similar service as Bath and Body Works.I hope that this helps.

All you need is to text once, and they'll send you all 3 coupons.
