Food Lion Weekly Ad 12/30

Posted on Dec 30 2009 | By Jenny · Comments

Here are the “low price” deals at Food Lion starting Wednesday 12/30.  It is a longer ad than normal and I am tempted to recommend that you shop twice this ad.  Once to use all the expiring coupons and then again after you have Sunday’s coupons for the Special K deal.

If you see any other deals please share!shoppinglist1

Remember:
1. Check with your local store about B1G1 items. Ask “Are you required to buy 2, or will they each ring up at half price?”
2. Most Food Lion stores do not double coupons.
3. If you do a B1G1 deal, use 2 coupons if they will let you.
4.  There are regional variations in all ads, so check your ad for any small price changes.

The FoodLion in my city (St Augustine, FL) had Finish Dishwasher Gel Packs on sale for 3.99 (reg 5.16), but I didnt see it advertised in their flyer anywhere. I was able to use the $2.50 coupons from this past Sundays coupons. I stocked up with $16 worth of dish washer packs for 5.19---thats 68% off!!!
  • Cindi
Oh, and the vlasic 50 cents off coupon, I just printed 2 at coolsavings!
  • Samantha White
My Food Lion no longer accepts internet printed coupons.

Has anyone else been told that Food Lion no longer accepts printed coupons?

Has this become the "officical coupon policy" at Food Lion?
  • Cindi
I am in SW Virginia, and mine still takes them, man I sure hope it doesnt become their official coupon policy!
  • Jenni
Has anyone mentioned that on some boxes of Special K (just the regular flavor, from what I saw) have a deal where if you send in 5 cardboard tokens cut from the back of the box (NO receipt necessary!) with the form from the inside of the box, you get a $10 voucher for a pair of jeans? I was going to skip this weeks deal until I saw that! That would make 6 boxes (with three $1/2 coups used) FREE after the $5 saved at the register, and this voucher, PLUS $3 leftover that you could actually count as saving on the jeans. SWEET!

PLUS, there is NO LIMIT per household on the $10 voucher for a new pair of jeans deal!
  • tiffany
I got a great deal tonight at FL in Rock Hill, SC. They had glade fragrance collection on clearance rack for 2.98. I had the $3.00 off wyb 2 q and got $3.00 off my next purchase after I paid. So both free!
  • Lori
Can someone post the actual rebate form for the Voila and Up deal? I can't view it with the attachment Jenny provided. Thanks
  • cindy

I can't find any of the cereal site coups either. Bummer. I shouldn't have waited to print.
  • Cathy
I paid 1.64 (82 cents each) for 2 large boxes of Cheerios today. They are reg. 3.64 but are on sale BOGO this week. You can print $1 off coupons from the www.eatbetteramerica.com website (if you sign up.)
3.64 for the two boxes together - used (2) $1 off coupons = 1.64 total.
  • Lana
I am really glad for this great deal on Cheerios as it is the only cereal DH eats and we are out!
  • Anne
I was wondering about the special K coupons also, couldn't find them, the all the FL coupons are expired...

  • Dana
anybody else unable to print any of the special k coupons??? or am i just the lucky one?
  • Sabrina
I can't get the Kelloggs to print either...so sad!
  • Lynn
I had a message "all out of prints". So sad sounds like a great deal.
  • Leslie
I do not have a convenient Food Lion anywhere near me; they are in a neighboring town but where I live, we have Bloom (owned by Food Lion). Would you consider adding Bloom to your website?
  • Amanda
A Kroger home mailer also had Vlassic Pickle $1/2 coupons. The epxiration date is 1/24/10. I will be stocking up on pickles for $1 a jar. Not free, but I love pickles, so I am happy about this!
  • John
The vlassic coupons are still printing on smartsource (use zip 90210)
  • Donna
there's a coupon for $1 off Tostitos in the Jan All you mag
  • Lynn
My mag said $1 off with purchase of salsa or dip.
  • Judy
I was able to get a 2 liter and a 12pk of 7-UP for only 25c!!! I used my coupon for a free 7-UP 2liter that I recieved in the mail a few weeks ago. There was a coupon on the bottle for $1.50 off a 12 pk of various sodas when you buy a 2 liter. I used that coupon in addition to the FL $1/1 7-UP 12 pk. The 12 pk are one sale for $2.75 this week, so cha-ching!!! =)
  • Mel
I have not been able to find the Special K granola cereal, went to 2 FL. Even went to WM to price match and they had a tv thing advertising for it but could not find it anywhere. It seems like it is new, is it just not out yet, maybe coming out after new years? And on the boxes of S.K, there are more coupons on the back!
Bought 3 boxes of cereal, 2 boxes of cereal bars, 3 boxes of cocoa and 2lbs of bananas for $4.57!!! Still a good deal without the bogo for the granola! If anyone has found it please let us know, I'm in the Lex.,SC area.
  • Tanya
Also Skinny Cow IC rang up as:
    $4.99
    -$1.00

    Therefore $3.99,

but, I was refunded $4.99 at the end of the bill for the special offer with 6 Lean Cuisines. $1 MM
  • Tanya
    YEAHHH! Got:
    6 boxes of Special K
    6 Lean Cuisines
    1 skinny cow IC sandwiches
    2 pkgs of decaf
    2 kiwis
1 box of swiss miss hot chocolate

for $8 and change!!! Saved $50 pre MVP
  • Sabrina
What coupons did you use for the lean cuisines?
  • Cathy
Also, the $2 off any Huggies product coupon is going around again. I used it at my Food Lion on Huggies wipes tonight ($2.06 a package) and it scanned just fine. The wipes do qualify as a Huggies product and the fact that it scanned with no problem made that clear too. Some sites are saying it only applies to diapers. Hope that helps.
  • Jenni
Do you know where we could get this new coup? I am almost out of wipes and REALLY need some!
  • Cathy
FREE FOOD LION HOT COCOA in addition to the Free Swiss Miss this week. The Food Lion brand hot chocolate is still on sale this week (to compete with Swiss Miss) for .99 a box. Remember to use the flip for $2 off 2 boxes and get it for free along with your free box of Swiss Miss.
I live in the central part of NC and at one store FL cocoa is .99 and just 3 miles up the road it is .89 this week.
  • Lana
The only FL hot cocoa coupon I see is $1/2 not $2/2.
  • Mel
It prints out $2 off of 2 boxes
  • Deborah
I have not been able to find the .50 off fruit or the $1 off Kellogg Protein Shake. Anyone else have this issue finding these Kellogg coupons?
  • Kim
Yeah, I can't find them either...
  • Kim
I just found them! They are not on the link given, but they are at coupons.com!
  • Rebecca
I wasn't able to find the fruit or shake qs either. :(
  • Crystal
We tried to do the Special K deal tonight and the manager would not let us use the fruit coupon on top of the bogo coupon. We didn't push it because our pantry is full of cereal at the moment, but it still made me a little upset. I hate not being able to get such a great deal!
  • Mrs
My local Food Lion (Ft. Oglethorpe, GA) will not allow 2 coupons for 2 items if the coupon says Buy One Get One Free. They say that the Buy One Get One Free is like $ off 2. So you are not the only one who could not do the deal.
  • My DH found Fuze tearpads for bogo Fuze that would be great for this sale, especially if the coupon works as they ahve in the past, taking off the regular retail price for the Fuze and not the sale price.
  • Jenny, this bogo coupon states you can use your free box as granola OR original Special K- so you should be able to get that if not the granola!
  • Just a heads up on the Kelloggs Special K BOGO coupon- USUALLY at Food Lion, when a bogo coupon is scanned, th register automatically enters the RETAIL price, not the sale price. So if these are regularly $3.99, then $3.99 will automatically come off. I haven't verified this particular coupon, but this is how it has worked with every bogo coupon I've ever used at Food Lion. If anyone tries it, maybe they can let us know?
  • Kim
yep - I went to FL today and ended with .57 overage when i bought 6 boxes of cereal..
  • Beckett
Went to FL tonight. Got 5 Special K's, used 2 bogo coups, used 1 man for 1 off special K blueberry, used one .50 off fruit (only could get one to print), and used 5/4 kellogs target coupon. It did take off $3.34 (x 2) for the bogos. The last bogo and target one the cashier couldn't do it, Manager on duty had to push it through, she stated that was the problem it was target and I pointed out it was an manufacturer's coupon. Ended up paying $1 for all, but then got the 5 off, so was free and 4 applied to my other groceries.
Thanks Jenny! Going tonight I saved 66.52 and only spent 15.17!
  • Lynn
We just had a Food Lion open in Lawrenceville, GA. Having a time with the store and coupons. They don't double any q's and won't take any competitors. I had a target manufactures coupon last week and the manager refused to accept it. I don't think they will be here long if they don't lighten up on the coupon policy. How did the other food lions work. I was so excited to see the store open but now they have an empty parking lot because or the policies.
  • Lana
I don't think any FL double coupons or take competitors coupons. I don't buy alot there but they have great meat sales and their meat is the best we have at any local store. The FLIPS often make great buys there too. Our stores are very friendly and take any coupon I use without question.
  • Amy Cole
How did you get the Kelloggs q's to print multiple times? It would only print once for me.
  • Mel
I just tried printing out the Kellogg's coupons and it would only print once also. In the past I was able to print at least 2 it just didn't give me a way to refresh. wondering what's up with that?
  • Lisa
I just went back to the original link and printed it again, since there was noway to refresh. HTH!
  • Tara
Hi! Went to FL in Lexington, SC this morning. Found coupon stuck on the Tostitos dips for free dip when you buy 2 bags of Tostitos. They had the Tostitos BOGOF. Also, bought two of the

Kraft Shredded, Cubed or Chunk Cheese 5-8 oz. $2 ea
    -$1/2 Kraft Cheese SS 11/15 (exp 12/31)

Then when I checked out, the little machine spit out a coupon that read get $5.00 off your next order when you buy 5 more Kraft products!
  • Becky
Ran to a Food Lion (On Johnston Rd in Charlotte, NC) at lunch and found some coupon nazis! They said if the internet coupon doesn't scan they can't accept it. I had two of the same kind from healthy choice and one scanned and the other didn't.
  • Claudia
Food Lion will not accept printed coupons, period. That is what I was told when I presented several coupons and only 2 did not scan. I also went from there to Kroger.
  • Samantha White
Snotty coupon cop at my Food Lion said they no longer accept ANY Internet printed coupons period. Looked me straight in the eye and claimed there was too much fraud going on. What an insult!

I called corporate and asked for a copy of their "Official Coupon Policy" and they dodged my request by saying they would have someone call me back.

I'll be happy to shop at Kroger where they treat customers with respect and happily accept coupons.
  • Roxanne
I went to the Food Lion on Ladson Road in Ladson S.C. tonight and they said they will no longer accept any internet coupons. The coupons that I attemted to use were from the Food Lion Website.
  • Gayle
I can never find the Eggbeaters coupons. Is there a certain zip code I can use?
  • Marty
there is also a q for $1.50 of store brand coffee when you buy any 3 Kellogg cereal.
  • chels
How is getting the protein shakes the best deal?
  • Jenny
It's not necessarily I was just giving you an idea. You can grab a $2.50 product and not use a coupon and have it all cost 50 cents.

or something like that I'm tired now.
  • Jenni
Jenny - why buy $2 worth of fruit, when you could get just 50 cents worth? (on the Special K deal) Just curious as to the reason there.
  • Jenny
because you can use 4 of those coupons since you are buying 4 boxes of cereal.
  • Jenni
*gets it, smacks head* See, this is why I am so grateful for your blog! I would have never thought of that!
