BBQ Pot Pie with Mashed Potato Crust
I saw at my Kroger that boneless pork butt was on sale for .99¢ lb. I cook it in the crock pot overnight or all day in 1-2 cups of liquid (apple cider vinegar or water). Shred it, divide it into 1 lb. portions, and freeze.

Cream of Mushroom Soup .50¢ (Kroger)
Crushed Tomatoes .62¢ (Publix)
Cream Cheese .25¢ (Publix)
Broccoli and Cheese Soup with Croutons
Frozen broccoli (Kroger and Publix)

Onion $1 lb (Kroger)

Beef and Onion or Beef and Mushroom Pie
Ground Chuck $1.49 lb (Kroger)
Shredded Cheese .66¢ (Publix)
Pie Crusts $1.75 (Publix)
Recipe:
Bake pie crust for 5 minutes before filling with meat mixture. Brown 1 lb. ground beef and drain. Add contents on onion gravy packet (I use the mushroom gravy). If you can find them in low sodium use that because they tend to be salty. Add 1 cup water. Heat to boiling. Spoon into pie crust. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup shredded cheese. Top with 2nd pie crust. Bake until brown. 30 minutes at 400 degrees.
Saturday Night Noodle Bake
Ground Chuck $1.49 (Kroger)
Macaroni Noodles (Publix)
Cream of Mushroom Soup .50¢ (Kroger)
Cream Cheese .25¢ (Publix)
Recipe:
1/2 lbs. lean ground beef
1 8 oz. box macaroni noodles, cooked
1 10 3/4 oz. can tomato soup
1 10 3/4 oz. can mushroom soup
6 oz. cream cheese
1 tsp. worcestershire
3 heaping tsp. sugar
Cook macaroni noodles according to directions on box. Drain and set aside.
Cook ground beef and drain. Combine cooked noodles and ground beef. Mix well.
Add tomato soup, mushroom soup, cream cheese, worcestershire, and sugar to the noodle mixture. Mix well. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour into 9″ x 13″ casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees for 25 - 35 minutes.
This casserole freezes well. Can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to two days.
My kids love this recipe and it tastes even better the second day.

Sausage Balls
These sausage balls have more of a biscuit like texture, so good.
Jimmy Dean Sausage (Publix)
Shredded Cheddar .66¢ (Publix)
Recipe:
1 lb. Jimmy Dean hot sausage (browned)
3 cups Bisquick
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese (not finely)
1 cup milk
Mix all together and spoon into drops.
375 degrees for around 10 - 12 minutes
