I just looked at the terms and conditions. Here is what it says:


Dunkin' Donuts Card "Register & Get $2" Promotion
*To be eligible for the $2 bonus, register your Dunkin’ Donuts Card at DunkinDonuts.com between December 28, 2009 12:00:01 AM ET – February 7, 2010 11:59:59 PM ET. If you already have a registered Dunkin’ Donuts Card you are not eligible for this promotion. Offer valid for new Dunkin’ Donuts Card registrations only. Limit of one $2 bonus per registered Dunkin' Donuts Card per Dunkin’ Perks profile for the promotion period. The $2 bonus will be loaded directly onto the eligible registered Dunkin’ Donuts Card. Please allow at least TEN (10) business days from the time the $2 bonus is earned for it to be loaded on to your registered Dunkin’ Donuts Card. No substitutions allowed. The $2 bonus cannot be redeemed for cash.


So it looks like you can buy the card any time during the promotion period, but you only get it if you are have never registered a card before. Maybe you can set up a new profile to get it? The closest DD to me is 30 minutes though :(

I'm heading out to shop tonight and planned to grab a $5 gift card in the store and register it. Should work just fine. But I'll let you know.
