What do they mean by competition? In my town we have ingles, food lion, piggly wiggly, and walmart and even a kroger 20 minutes away. Isn’t the point of the q to get me to buy their product? These corporations make no sense. Our local paper comes out weekly on Thursdays. I tried to convince ingles that they should put the circular for the following week in the paper rather than the one that starts the Sunday before. Their reply was that their ellijay customers are Friday and Saturday shoppers. Of course we are , bc we don’t get the circular until
Thursday!

Erin, I share your pain! I quit buying the “local” paper because of this! I’ve tried to research this and found the coupons are distributed based on competition in the local area. In my area there is no competition so I too am stuck with the back of my inserts filled with ads for wigs, plants and slippers! I’m ready to move because of this and to be closer to a Publix.

I shopped at White Horse Rd Ingles on Monday. They didn’t question my 4 internet coupons in a big stack. Maybe it depends on the cashier/manager. The cashier was a teen boy, the mgr a 20ish black guy.

it has to do with money and circulation. the more people buy the paper, the more coupons they put in.

They are supposed to only take two alike, not two total. The one on Stallings Road had no problem taking mine today.

There’s not really a place to put this but can someone tell me why small town America has to play this coupon finding game? Why are there more coupons available in larger cities? Why do I have to figure out which big city zip code to use for on-line coupons, and why is my local paper’s coupon insert stuffed with ads for discount wigs and elastic waist polyester pants instead of fat with coupons like the AJC (which I have to drive 45 minutes to buy)? Don’t we small town folks work and shop and eat just like those in the city and suburbs????

I don’t know if it is all Ingles in Greenville, SC but the one on White Horse Rd. now only takes 2 internet coupons per order per day. Guess they just lost my business.

yeah, I snagged 6 tonight- with the $1 coupons from last week (I think it was last week), they were only $2.97! So awesome for the Rising Crust pizza- it is the best frozen pizza EVER! :)

Hi Steve,
Just a thought, you can save on yeast by buying in bulk at Costco/Sam’s club. There are a FEW things you can get cheaper at the warehouse stores. =) I have a gigantic bag of yeast (maybe the size of a package of freeze dried coffee) that I purchased at Costco last year for about $3. I store it in the freezer.

Well I thought I was going to be able to use some of my 40 cents off Fleischman yeast coupons at the triple coupons last week at Ingles but when I saw their price for a pack, $2.19 even with a triple coupon it still made it a dollar per pack. Publix sells them for $1.49 less doubled coupon nets 70 cents and Wal-Mart sells them for $1.09 per pack which also nets them to 70 cents. So much for triple coupon savings at Ingles.
