Yes! Had this happen a few weeks bac on the Kellogg's deal. All Cereal rang up wrong, but she could only give me one box free. Ended up getting $10 back in cash after an already great trip!

I must compliment this same Kroger for the exceptional service when I went back. The item that did not ring up as part of the Mega Deal was indeed tagged on the shelf as on sale and part of the deal. They refunded the price I paid for it, making it free, gave me the $5 for the 4th Mega Deal and gave me the $ I was shorted by the overlooked coupons. They were so very nice and apologetic and it was completely hassle-free other than the drive back to the store. Kudos to their customer service!

Julie - welcome to SS! It only gets better from here.

Grab every coupon you can and keep them organized. It took me about 4 weeks to get a good stock of coupons so that I wasn't frowning when Jenny listed a good coupon that I didn't have. Be religious about getting those papers and look for coupons everywhere you go. Check out Jenny's tips for organizing them at home so it doesn't become so much work before you go to the store. And yes, you stock up on what's on sale, enough so that your family can last about 6-8 weeks of that product, until it comes on sale again. How much "stocking up" means is up to your family.

Good luck!

That is the point of coupons! That is so silly that they would limit one coupon per type of product. The only one they are hurting is themselves. They get reimbursed for the coupons, so I don't see why they would refuse them. Luckily, I have had only a few problems with my Kroger in the Richmond, VA area. My friend did have a problem with them not taking more than two IP Qs for the same item. I usually only have two IP Qs for the same product anyway and then paper Qs as well, so I have never ran into that. If I have four IP Qs, I just go back another day and save myself the hassle. I have never had a problem with them taking more than two IP Qs when they are for different items, like others have on here. I make sure to carefully check my receipt, for sale prices, ecoupons, MF Qs, double Qs, and any other additional $ off discounts to make sure everything comes off correctly. If something is not accounted for I go to customer service. I also keep track of $ off amounts for all coupons to quickly check the savings off on my receipt. Customer service has all bought one time refunded me. (They wouldn't give me my bonus $0.50 for a CAT Q that said do not double, only they regularly give the bonus Qs on IP Qs that state do not double. I thought that was silly. It is their policy to double Qs. So, I didn't buy the butter. They were out my $1 for the butter, $0.50 from the manufacturer and never took off the Q that already deducted when I said to take it off, and then gave me back the Q so they coudln't get the credit. So all in all, they were out $1.50 and actually paid me $0.50 after not buying the butter. They lost $2.00 bc they would not double the $0.50 Q, their mistake.) Luckily, they are never this fussy. They claim that CAT Qs ($ off an item)never double. These were not the $ off your order type. They can always choose to override something and make the customer happy.

I did have a problem with Food Lion last week. I love their B1G1 deals and bought two bags of Tidy Cats and other items and used (2) IPs from the Target website (had their logo, but MQ), besides other Qs. The lady took them. So, I decided to get two more bags after I printed two more Qs from another computer. The limit was 2 free, so 4 total. The lady would not take them bc of the Target logo, even though they were MQs and said they coulnd't take them anymore. I told her that was fine, but I would not be purchasing them and left the bags of cat litter and the shopping cart at the register for them. I felt bad, but if I cannot get the deal I planned on, I will not buy it from them. They looked at me like I had three heads. I decided to go to another Food Lion, 3 minutes away from work and the girl took them. So, the one Food Lion was out of the $, their choice. I think that is also silly, bc the Qs were MQs. The coupon does NOT state they will only reimburse Target. I know I picked up some Qs from Dollar General that said good at places that sell food and drugstores or something to that affect. Some stores choose no to take them anyway. The stores are only losing out, they just don't get that point though. I think they will think, well the shopper will buy it anyway. Well, us super couponers know better!

Finally made it to Kroger. Good and bad news. Good news, checked the tags in Savannah, GA and the Mega Sale is through next weekend. Bad news, some of my coupons didn't match the exact item they had the sale for. For example, at my store the regular mustard was not on the 5.00/10 sale. Also, I had a cashier hand back a register coupon for .75/2 Hot Pockets. It had a Target logo on it, but it said manufactor coupon. I pointed this out, but they said as long as it had the name or logo of another store on it they would not accept it. It was only .75 so I really didn't push it. All in all I had a great day. I bought a few extra things as the Hubby is heading out of town next week and is taking lunches, etc..with him and Super bowl Sunday is coming up.
Total - 114.64
OOP - 40.69
Savings of 64.5%
Not shabby for Kroger

I refuse to shop at that Kroger any more because they are so horrible about coupons. "Customer service" people there are RUDE! I have no problems at the new Kroger (78 & 81). You would think they would be doing all they can to keep customers, but apparently not.

Becky, I use to use The Grocery Game too, way back when I first started. After awhile I decided to try it on my own and was actually pretty good at it. I think of the money I paid as training! =+) I can consistantly save between 50-60% on my own ahopping at Publix (FAVORITE) and Kroger. The great thing is now this site has helped me up my savings to 60-70% sometimes, 75%!!! LOVE ALL OF HER HARD WORK!

If you look at the list, under each list you will see coupons that go with that item. Jenny is great about listing what section and the date, so if you don't clip all of your coupons you should still be able to use the list.

If there is a printable coupon for that item she post a link to it the item. Oh, and if there is a coupon to upload to your Kroger card fron Cellfire, Kroger, or Shortcuts.

For example:
Hot, Lean or Croissant Pockets, 6.5-9oz., $1.78
-.50/3 Lean or Hot Pockets SS 10/25
-$1/3 Hot or Lean Pockets Nestle Walgreens Home Mailer (mfr w/Walgreens logo)
-.55/1 Hot Pockets Breakfast Sandwiches Cellfire eCoupon

Good Luck and welcome. I hope this answers some of your questions!

Thanks for your response. I've been hearing great things about the Kroger you mentioned, as well as the one in Centerville on Hwy. 124.
Until I hear back from corporate, those will be my new stores! I'll post an update when I receive a response and let you know what the final word is!

When someone goes to Kroger early next week, can you post if the MEGA sales are mostly the same as the week starting 1/24? The 1/31 ad on the Kroger site does not list the Kraft cheese as being on sale. I realize that not all the MEGA sales are listed in the ad but I specifically wanted more cheese. THANKS!

Had the same problem in Virginia a few weeks ago-they also told me that you could not get an item for free unless it stated "free" on coupon-would only double up to 75% of value. I contacted corporate and although they did say that store managers have authority to set policy on what to take, our store quickly changed back to old policy.

Is anyone having problems with Cellfire ecoupons? Only my shortcuts came off at Kroger yesterday even though I bought two of the items. I haven't had this problem in the past.

First of all Jenny - thank you for all that you do!

I double checked at all three of the Krogers in my area (Raleigh, NC) and the Sargento string cheese is not on sale - rings up as $4.99. It is not advertised in our circular with the shredded, which is on sale and does not ring up as part of the Mega event.

Must be regional?

Just wanted others to be aware.

Hi Kim. I use the grocery game but this looks to be better than that because I actually pay for that and this is free. Where do I get my coupons and stuff from and how does this work? I keep all of my coupons from the Sunday papers but I don't cut them out until I am ready to use them. Is there a system I should be using with them that would keep them better organized? I would appreciate any and all help from anyone that is willing to help me out not just you Kim.......thanks for the help!

Since I am so new to being able to match coupons to sales from this site (about 2 weeks now), how long does it take to collect all the coupons available to be able to get all the good stuff? I took your advice and did the CVS drug store thing and got $75 dollars worth of stuff for about $20. I would have probably done better if I had more of the coupons, but I am not complaining! Do you stock up on different things every week?
