I happened to be in the store early one Sunday morning when the AJC lady was delivering papers and there were no doubles out. I asked where they were, and she said, "Oh, I have to make them." and she made some for me. The doubles are just the early edition papers that are left over from Saturday stacked with a Sunday paper.
If you think about it, by Sunday, no one is going to want the paper from Saturday, so they get rid of the leftovers this way. That is why you never know how many doubles there will be.

Mine didn't either. I'm disappointed, too. Customer service was closed. I'm going to check with them another day. This is the second time I've had trouble with those type of coupons.

I went to Kroger and started out with the Nature Valley granola deal. I did not get my $3 coupon for my next purchase. Did anyone else have this problem? If so, what can I do to get my $3 coupon? Any ideas?

Also, I can't seem to find the Betty Crocker muffin printable coupons. Am I missing them?

3 or 4?? Wow, it would never have occurred to me to limit my individual item purchases to that few! If that's all that you feel comfortable purchasing then Great. I just do not feel that I need to limit my purchases to that few. My 3 year old and 1 year old do NOT want to have to go to the store 2-3 times a week and neither do I!

Yes, if restrictions are made by Kroger then they should be followed. HOWEVER, if no restrictions are made then the Early Bird gets the Worm!! I shop at Publix and a few weeks ago was able to get a great deal on Green Giant canned vegetables. The deal only allowed me to get 20 per transaction. I can assure you I felt no guilt running in, getting 20 canned veggies, loading them in my car, and then going RIGHT BACK in to get 20 more. I've also been known to have my husband pay for some items on a different transaction if he's shopping with me. I FOLLOW the RULES, get good deals on groceries, and am proud of my savings!

My Kroger had Betty Crocker frosting for $1.49. There is a $.50 coupon in the 2/7 GM flyer and a cellfire or shortcuts for $.50. Use both and it is free. Cheap Puproni with coupon and e coupon, also. With the game $5 off, coupons, and Kroger MC money I was able to walk out with almost $41 worth of food for only $3!!!!! Great day even without a mega sale.

Yes, I think there are usually many items I would put back if I can't get the double on the coupons.

Some items I would never buy at certain prices, like the muffin mixes, etc. I do not think they are worth the retail price or anywhere close to it. Hamburger Helper is nice for a quick meal on a busy night, but I could leave it on the shelf for the rest of my life and not suffer for it.

This happened to me too for the 1st time this past Sunday. I was very surprised, many of the things I would not have bought if I had known they weren't going to double the q's. I didn't turn around but I will think twice before doing more shopping at Kroger, certainly won't make "extra" purchases other than what I need (and I can tell you right now Chex Mix and Brownies are "extra", lol). With more and more people starting to "coupon," it is a shame that Kroger is treating couponers so poorly, the are going to lose a lot of their customers and business. I think they are missing the mark here and are forgetting that most of their customers do have choices and they will choose to shop elsewhere. My thought is, even if they only make $0.10 on the product that is a dime more that they would have gotten otherwise, +$.08 handlng fee. It usually isn't just one item I buy either and that is money they made JUST because they doubled the coupon.

well I did my shopping today I bought 250 dollars worth of stuff for 114. I wanted to spend under 100 bucks but I forgot we were almost out of bottle water and sodas. plus they had kroger brand fryer chickens for 88 cents a pound so grabbed 2 of those. I will just have to try harder next week

My cashier today would not double ANY internet coupons today. I asked her when this started and she couldn't tell me (but my coupons did double last week!). That cost me $9.50 more!!!! Not a happy camper!

In Kroger's clearance section, they had Gillette Sensor 5 cartridge razor refills for 69 cents each! I thought that was nuts, so I bought 7 (normally these are $8.99 each). When I got home I saw that they were labeled as Noxema Watermelon gel on the Manager's Special tag. Oops!

I got a seriously good deal. I paid $4.83 for $63 worth of razors. That's 3 years worth of razors!!! :)

I haven't received them yet I just did it but I'm hoping that will get me Q's...

I actually make bags, brag bags even! (www.quinnleydesigns.com). I have been thinking of making one to hold my coupon binder but haven't yet. The Kelly Tote might be big enough, if not I can create one that is... Maybe I will make one that Jenny could do as a "Give Away!"

I had a hard time at the Vinings store on Atlanta Rd (in GA) and I called the manager (whose name and number is listed at the bottom of my receipt) and I explained to him that Publix is right beside my house but I choose to do the bulk of my shopping at Kroger but I would not anymore if they refused to take competitor's coupons and he told me that he would definitely take them and if any of the cashiers gave me a hard time to let him know.
