I have the brother hL2140 laser printer. It is an outstanding machine. The one drawback is that it will stop when it senses the toner is low, even though it isn't. I solved this problem by putting black electrical tape over the sensors at each end of the toner cartridge. What should have been a 600 page starter cartridge has lasted since early October and I am certain I have printed 2000 pages or more, and not all of these were coupons. I had to print full page flyers for Cub Scouts, too.

I recommend this printer to anyone who is willing to tape over the sensors to make the toner last longer! The printer stopped working when I printed my first 300 flyers because it “thought” it was out of toner. The tape solved that issue and we are still going strong.
