The Scholastic Teacher Store Dollar Days are back. Pick from over 100 $1 books!  Sale ends 2/8.

This sale is technically open to teachers, administrators, and home school teachers but they do not require any form of id to order. (I think anyone with kids can say they are a teacher personally!!)

(Thanks SpectacularSavings!)

FYI..I ordered books as well and just received a letter from Scholastic explaining if I entered homeschool, my children cannot attend a school. While they're in school, I would like to think I could enter the homeschool as well because I try so hard to help them in addition to what the school does. Scholastic is not seeing it this way. They processed my order over two weeks ago and I have yet to see it. Is anyone else having this problem?

I just got an email verifying my homeschool status. I told them that I wasn't a homeschool teacher so I am guessing there will be no books for us.
  • jessc5
Yep, I got the same email.

Looks like this offer ends on 2/28 (not 2/8.) At least that's what the website says. Thanks for letting us know about this Jenny...GREAT DEAL!! We LOVE books!!!

The shipping is 9% of your total, minimum of $2.
I was wondering about the homeschool verification - guess I'll be ready for a phone call.
    Thanks for the tip!

Are all of the books paperback?
  • flower_mom

Any suggestions how a non teacher can order? I guess perhaps i can ask a teacher friend to order for me.
  • denalowenberg
I put in homeschool and listed my children's level of school. Like the original poster said - (I think anyone with kids can say they are a teacher personally). I agree.
You just need to input your address and I put my name as the school name.
    Good luck
  • MrsJJ
Did they call you to verify? if you homeschool dont u have to be registered with your local school?
  • tracycook79
i hope not b/c my son is three (we are doing 3 yr- old abeka program. since he is not tech. mandated to go to school at this age, we have not licked an association......

I just ordered 36 books and the shipping was 3.24 to my home. I LOVE childern's books. Great deal! Thanks so much for sharing.
  • Amanda
    Any idea what shipping costs?
  • Tabitha
I ordered 25 books and shipping was just over $2! I think that is fair!
There are codes out there to get % off and free shipping but I believe those codes work only at the regular Scholastic store (not the teacher store), because I couldn't get any of them to work for me.
  • Tabitha
I just ordered from them. I ordered 25 books and paid a little over $27...Good deal, I think!
If you say you homeschool, they do call to confirm the ages/grades of your children (And they must be of school age)! I guess it is good I homeschool three! :)

I was getting Scholastic teacher materials before we were "really" homeschooling. They ask for the ages/grade levels so they can adapt the sales flyers they send once you are on their mailing list. They have a PreK division too.
