  • we should all be smart enough in buying one...
  • yep we should always consider its quality...
  • Esmerelda
Hi! I went to CVS today and had the B1G1 coupon for Stayfree, as well as the $1 off for Stayfree. The cashier took the $1 off the free Stayfree, and left the one I was paying for as full price. So instead of me $2.89 and getting the second one free, I paid full price ($3.89) and got the second one free. Which essentially wasted the $1 off coupon! I politely questioned the mgr and she said that when I have a B1G1 coupon, they have to take the additional coupon off the lowest price item, which is the free one, and then I have to pay full price for the item I am paying for. This doesn't make sense to me. I thought Stayfree is reimbursing them for the free one at full price since I used the coupon, and then Stayfree would reimburse them the $1 for that coupon. can anyone explain to me why that didn't work, or what the policy is? When I add jenni's deal above, even though it was four packs of Stayfree, it still looks like they took the $1 coupons off the one she was paying for. can you guys explain? Thanks!
  • bolessd
CVS has b1g1 50 %, I have a b1g1 free coupon... how does this ring up at the register?? do i buy 1, get one 50% and get one free? new to cvs shopping.
  • GaMom
I cannot find the $2 ECB wyb 5 pepsi 8-packs in my circular. Was this a month long ECB deal or just unadvertised. Has anyone tried this yet.
  • lisa
I went to cvs today. The oral -b toothbrush that is $4.oo and has $4.00 extra care bucks can also be used with the oral-b bogo coupon in this past sundays paper. I got 4 toothbrushes for $8.00 with $8.oo ecb back!
  • GaMom
    Hi,
Just wanted to know if you were still able to use the -0.75 q on the one that was not free or can you use only one. Still a great deal if I can't use both though.
  • jess
Can anybody explain this to me?.... I went to cvs today, and my total after coupons and ECBs was .19..... well for some reason the cashier voided off one of my $2 ECBs and made me pay 1.81 instead.. does this make sense to any of you? Im still not that great at getting deals at CVS and to me it just doesnt make any sense cuz i was still paying them.. it wasnt like they were handing me any money for my order...
  • Mysterious_Mentalist
This is incorrect to do so. If coupons and/or ECBs go through then this is what it is. CVS register is sophisticated enough and programmed in such a way that it detects ECBs. From my experience, some ECBs go thru for taxes and some do not. Someone on these boards in previous CVs week forum explained that in detail. ECBs that are generated manually would reduce the tax amount because those ECBs are considered store own discount. Whereas, ECBs that scan as "CVS manuf. Q." are those that were generated from normal shopping and would not go thru normally for taxes. In that case, the subtotal would be deducted.

In your case, it seems that ECB went thru even for taxes which was fine. If it went thru for the total balance, its great. The cashier should not be doing what he/she did. Or, I am thinking the way your balance is coming up, is that after scanning the $2ECB, your balance might have been negative -0.19c, not +19 cents. So, the end balance cant be neg., the cashier should have adjusted the ECB to 1.81 instead making you pay. You would have lost 19 cents from ECB.
  • jess
yeah i gave her my manufacturer coupons first.. then the ECBs... my total was a positive 19 cents to owe them so then when she took my 2 ECB off and handed it back to me it came to 1.81 and idunno i feel that she shouldnt have did that.. i still do not like the cashier, everytime i go to cvs she makes me feel stupid and just treats me like she is better than me.. oh well..
  • Mysterious_Mentalist
ok, so it sounds like your ECB went thru for tax amount as well and as it appears cashier did not like that. Most ECBs do not scan for taxes but some do. If it goes thru, then that is what it is. The cashier is probably obe of those close-minded ones who cant stand smart shoppers doing smart shopping. Such cashiers feel repulsed and try to make sure that the shopper does notget away with anything that she could control. next time, raise your objection. If ECBs go thru, its fine. However, know that ECBs can not be used for taxes as they wouldn't go thru the register even if cashier tried to puch it thru.
  • aolss
Maybe tax? I don't think ECB's can cover the cost of tax.
  • Toni
That's it exactly. ECB's can't be used for tax.
  • emily_hope
I went to our local CVS on Sunday and they were out of the Oral B Toothbrushes. They said the truck when be in Tuesday. Went back today, still no Oral B Toothbrushes. :(
  • emily_hope
Thanks everyone. I should have asked about a raincheck. I just didn't think it would include the ECBs. If I get out tomorrow, I'll stop back by and ask...
  • frelee03
Ask for a raincheck for the toothbrushes. I got one, it is good for the extra bucks also and has no expiration date!!
  • Toni
Get a raincheck! The rainchecks never expire and they will still print the ECB's when you purchase them later.
  • jess
i tried using the bogo coupon for the toothbrushes and the cashier wouldnt let me.. =( i did however get 2 kids toothpastes for .99.... so that was a plus.. but they only had 2 left.. i would have bought more..
  • awesomecvsshoppingtrip
Great CVS shopping trip tonight. Total was $55.93. I paid $3.93 and have $6 ERB to use for another visit, plus an aditional $5 I didnt use at this trip.
  • Michelle
Reveived 4 off huggies diapers and wipes q from the red box today
  • Alli
i got the same one on my receipt. are they on sale this week at all. will be great combined with manuf coupons!
  • 3monkeysmom
So I emailed CS and complained that I never got any good coupons ( I get coupons for Gold Emblem Candy and CVS hair care EVERY time) from the red scanner.
And....today I finally got a name brand (Loreal)coupon to come out of it. And a CVS coupon I can actually use (paper towels).
Now if I could just get that coveted $4 off $20, I'd be doing good :-)
  • Crystal
Does anyone know if CVS ever offers gift cards for transferred prescriptions like Rite Aid does?
  • aolss
There's a Rite-Aid coupon for $25 on transferred Rx. Local CVS's honor competitors coupons. I got it honored for a new prescription tonight :)
  • scmom
Ok. So, I went to a workshop and want to start couponing. Understanding some basics, but have questions. What is the red scanner at CVS? Also, every time I've tried to print coupons online the coupon printer won't ever download to my computer. Very frustrating. Any suggestions?
  • joyfullysaving
What does it say when you try to download it? I had difficulty with one of the downloads and I restarted my computer and then it did download. You could try that. Hope it helps
  • Toni
Red scanner is basically a price checker but you can scan your CVS card and it prints out a coupon or two out of the side of the machine. It is found near the front of the store near the main aisle. I'm not computer savvy, so can't help with your other issue.
  • scmom
Toni, thanks re the red scanner thing at CVS. Never have noticed it and will look for it next time.
  • Toni
The red scanner gave out a $3 off Glad fragrance collection coupon. The small ones are $3.29, so 29 cents for a Glade candle and it counts toward the SC Johnson $5 rebates if you are still doing those.
  • Leslie
I'm not sure if someone mentioned it or not, but there was a BOGO coupon for Oral B toothbrushes in Sunday's paper. I didn't think it would work for the ones CVS had for the $4 ECB deal, but I asked the cashier to try and it did. So, I paid $4 for 2 toothbrushes and got $8 in ECB!
  • Elizabeth
I did too!!! OMGoodness... I used my ECBs to buy four boxes of cereal (2Qs), dawn dish detergent (1Q) and a cvs floss for around $2 and got back $5 for the cereal purchase in ECBs!!! So I spent $6.99 out of pocket and got $5 ECBs for new wk... $1.99 for all of these items! This has been so much fun... 3rd wk couponing. :o)
  • Laura
so excited! Marietta CVS, they have satin care shave gel on clearance but the price tag on the shelf says 3.29, we it was scanned it was 1.65, then used the 55 cents off sunday paper coupon and got it for 1.10. great deal! its the apricot and dry skin formulas. Also a shout out to the employees there, they are always friendly and patient with my multiple transx.
p.s. met a fellow southern saver today at Wags!
  • christie1225
I did not see stayfree in the add or advertised in the store.
  • CVS shopper
It's not in the add and it wasn't advertised in my store either, but when I asked the cashier, they were able to scan it and confirmed that the register said it was ECB item. Just make sure you get the 24 ct Regular Maxis.
  • Guest
At my CVS yesterday they accepted the Oral-B B1G1 coupon from Sunday's paper for the ECB toothbrushes. I already had $3 ECB so I made a tidy profit on clean teeth and got free diaper wipes for the little guy :)

I do not know how to start a new post so I am posting under this. Please tell me how to start one.
Has anyone gotten their $10 rebate from the Beauty For All Ages $10 Mail In Rebate? Is there a number to call to check on this?
  • kelli
I was actually about to post something about this. I haven't gotten mine yet, I mailed it on 1/21.

I was wondering about the Coors Light (pepsi product) rebate too.

Mailed my Beauty for all Ages on Jan. 15.
Received by $10.00 check last week. Hope yours
    arrives soon.
  • kelli
did you spend $30 oop? I'm still nervous that mine isn't going to show up because I bought $30 worth of product but didn't spend anywhere near $30...
  • Mysterious_Mentalist
    Q. was probably "overlooked" as opposed to "accepted." Employees have no time to read all fine prints and they really do not need to. Regardless, on a positive side, CVS is getting reimbursed either way.
  • ckb5
Did anybody getting the Chattanooga paper receive an RP for March 7? It wasn't in my paper, so I didn't know if mine was just missing one, or if it was city-wide.
  • georgia girl
got the Chattanooga paper and was very disappointed in the

    country crock,Colleman organic and Logan's

    1 4/2 Deodorant (PG 2/21)
    2 B1G1 PG 2/7)

Thanks for sharing your great deals. I am new to all of this and find it very encouraging.
  • joyfullysaving
What a great week at CVS... My OOP was .47c (before tax) with $11 in ECB for next week. The best part is I have not been to Walmart in 3 months. My brother, knowing I buy at CVS asked me what this $5 thing on his receipt was... and then after I told him it is like money at CVS, he said well I think I lost it. I almost had an MI, some people don't realize the value of that little piece of paper. Thank you SS for saving me so much money this is such a great site, and you all are so helpful with finding great deals... Keep up the comments.
  • Mysterious_Mentalist
    A) There is partial misinformation posted on this board about Nabisco. Nabisco Oreo variety 6oz is also for $1/1. Therefore manuf Q. is legit and you can still get the deal. I think such misinformation is doing a disservice to CVS because many reading those posts would not bother consider the deal anymore and thus, CVS is losing Q. value revenues (plus 8c handling on each Q). Please always do your research as well and do not always take for exact words of some here who do not like people making deals. I am proud to say that some of my "deals" such as Excedrin from last week are going to a less fortunate part of the world where my deal(s) will somewhat help those who have nothing, nil , nada.

    B) Venus Emrace one variety (of 3) is on clearance for $6. Someone above mentioned how you would recognize it by color. You can also take all three varities to the scanner and will find out that one scans at $6. It does generate ECB.

Can you use more than one coupon on one product?
  • crystal
You can use a store coupon + manufacturer coupon, but you can't use more than one manufacturer coupon for the same item

I had a problem getting the 3 dollars off of the Easter Candy ECB. It didn't print when I went last night. My receipt said I needed to spend another dollar in Easter Candy to qualify. Went back today to get the additional item. Purchased Reeces Peanut butter eggs. The manager came over and told me it didn't print because I needed to only purchase the items in the picture. She had me return the eggs and purchase the easter cups before realizing that the coupon still did not print out.

Still not sure what the problem was.

jenabc....I almost didn't get my ECB on the easter candy. The candy was on sale and I thought I had enough to qualify for the $10 when I only had $7.50 because of the sale. I had to go back and look through the ad to get the sale prices. They were not posted. Got 4 bags of candy that were marked $4+ each for $10, used the $1 off coupon from Sundays paper, and got the 3 ECB

This was not advertised in our south fl paper. I tried it anyway but no ECB on Easter candy...:(

So, I did my CVS run today and did found out which of the razors were ringing up for $6.00. I price-checked every single one (that is, one of each type) and found out that the Gillette Venus Embrace (it's purple on the top) is clearanced down to $6.00, but is still eligible for the ECB deal (so with the $2/1 Q it comes out FREE.) The SKU is 047400302457.
Oh, and thanks to WynetteC for correctly posting that the Stayfree Maxi deal is for the 24 count Regular pack with the SKU 380040927001. These are $3.69 at the Atlanta area CVS's so even better deal!
    Happy Shopping!!

I can't seem to find the Stayfree deal in the CVS ad. I was just at the store and there was not a EBC sign on any stayfree product and I have scanned the flier a dozen times. Am I missing something?
  • bamamom81
I'm wondering the same thing. I live in Alabama and haven't found the stayfree deal either.
  • jessica1970
Were these disposables or "regular" razors?
  • Mary C.
They were "regular" razors with the replaceable blade cartridge (it comes with 2 cartridges.)
  • Julie
Doesn't this Venus razor have a coupon out that if you but the Venus Razor you will get a Olay Body Wash for free? Olay body washes also get a 15 rebate check back on a purchase of 3. Last day to buy them for the rebate is 3/12.

The oral B BIG! coupon can be use on the toothbrushes at CVS. Makes a profit of $4.75
  • Crystal
The B1G1 in my P&G wasn't for the same kind of toothbrush, so I'd say this will be a YMMV kind of deal.
  • teachmejoy
I am super new to couponing and feel like such a ditz! I am so overwhelmed. I was wondering about the different transactions. Why do you do the CVSing in a bunch of small transactions instead of one large one? Do you do all the little transactions in one day or do you just go back multiple times? I'd love a little help before I give up.
  • guest
The idea behind doing multiple transactions is that you use ECBs that you just earned in order to bring down your OOP expense on the next transaction. Say the only thing you are interested in this week is the toothbrushes - buy 1 for $4.00, get back $4.00 ECBs, limit 2. Assuming you do not have any coupons to use, if you purchase both of them in the same transaction, you pay $8.00 plus tax and get back $8.00 ecbs. However, if you buy 1 for $4.00 and get $4.00 ecbs, and then turn around and buy the second one and use the $4.00 ecbs that you just earned, you spend less *real money* out of pocket and still have both items. If you buy them separately, you can spend only $4.00 plus the tax on the 2 items instead of paying $8.00 plus the tax. Yes you will only have $4.00 ecbs left instead of $8.00 ecbs, but many people find it more advantageous to keep their *real money* spending to a minimum rather than try to focus on getting a large amount of ecbs. I know I personally value my *real money* much more than I value a store coupon to be used on my next order, therefore I work hard to keep my *real money* spending to a minimum.

Also, many people who do separate transactions will do several in the same trip to the store. It is nice to be courteous to other shoppers, though - if you have several transactions to do and there is a line forming, it's nice to just do 1 and then move to the back of the line to help keep the line moving. I personally find it hard to concentrate when there are grumpy people mumbling behind me about me taking too long, anyway. LOL Plus the cashiers really appreciate it if you do this since it helps keep the line shorter and keeps more customers happy. :)
  • When you do separate transactions, you can reduce your out-of-pocket cost because you use the ECB's from the first transaction to help pay for the next transaction and so on. Otherwise, your OOP cost would be higher but you'd have a higher amount of ECB's to carry over.
  • Denise
I had a great visit to CVS today. Doing 3 transactions, I got (4) boxes of cereal, (1) birthday card, (2) Oral-B toothbrushes, (1) box of marshmallow peeps, (1) cup of honey nut cheerios, (5) bottles Dawn detergent, (1) Venus shaver, (1) Olay body wash, and (2) packs of Stayfree pads. I paid $4.83 OOP ($4.03 of this was sales tax). I also have $5 ECBs.
  • joyfullysaving
how much was the Olay body wash originally, trying to get to 20.00 for a coupon, I know the end result is free... Thanks
  • Mysterious_Mentalist
One variety, I think Ribbon series, is $7.49, while the other one is something like $5.xx
  • KanDee1
I noticed on the Bounty deal you listed the coupon from the Save a Lot home mailer....I have that. Does CVS honor Save A Lot coupons? I have been told in the past they do not honor other stores coupons.
  • Mysterious_Mentalist
That coupon is not a store coupon. It would say on top "manufac Q" and the codes start with 9 or 0 or 5 followed by space followed by a set of numbers. The logo is simply the advertisement where the stores probably pay to the manuf. to put their logos on their Qs to encourage their sales at their stores. Qs will still scan and are legit to use anywhere they accept manuf Qs.

nabisco $1 from SS 1/24 excludes small sizes... this deal is posted on numerous blogs and is not valid...

    Thank you.

Can anyone help me, I can't find the free olay body wash? A I missing something?
  • guest
You get the Olay bodywash for free by using a coupon that states 'buy a venus razor, get olay bodywash free'. You must have the coupon to get the free bodywash.
  • sgesselrn
Just fyi...the kelloggs deal (in Ohio at least) the limit is 2 even though advertised as 1. Cheap cereal yay! :)
  • To everyone who doesn't receive the emailed coupons, try contacting them. I contacted them this morning to ask about it, and within a few hours I had a coupon in my inbox! Yay!

ALso, you can sign up for recyclebank.com and join the EBay green team and get 50 points free which you can then use to purchase a $4/$20 coupon.
  • melindaruth
I went to CVS yesterday and I tried to get the Nabisco Cracker deal. I could not find any boxes of crackers that were 6 oz, which is the requirement for the coupon! Does anyone know what kind of crackers will work with the coupon? I did however get some other great deals but I will go back if I can figure this out! Thanks for the help!
  • nina21007

I'm at Isle of Palms for kids Spring Break & the CVS I know on 17 in Mt. Pleasant closed. The store locator online didn't help. Anyone know the closest CVS near IOP or Mt. Plesant? TIA
