Remember that awesome deal on All You last month?  You guys got 40 months of a coupon filled magazine for less than 70 cents an issue and we made $3 per issue to give away.  I teamed up with Collin at Hip2Save.com so that we could raise the most money possible.  In the end you guys raised$8034!! This was incredible!

We contacted the food bank and asked for a tour to see exactly what they did and how can help even more.  Check it out:

It was incredible what was raised, and was a great morning of seeing everything in action.  I’m amazed at the size of this facility and the fact that they go through as much food as they do every 7-10 days!

I hope this helps you think of all the ways that you can help!

Note: Anyone who ordered it takes 8-10 weeks for All You to get started so you will get your first issue probably next month (mid April).

      What a great video. I ordered the All You mag during your promotion to get the coupons but knowing the other $3 dollars resulted in 21 pounds of food is awesome! Where is SC was this food bank and do you know if they accept walk in drop offs?

        The food bank is located mostly in the Midlands of SC although they do service counties in the Pee Dee region as well.

        Especially recently, they have been accepting just about anything so I would imagine walk ins would be welcome.

      Our church happens to be a dontion drop-off point for our local food bank. It's so convenient for me. We keep a bag in our pantry area and add items to it as we get them free or almost-free. When the bag is full, it goes with us on Sunday morning!

I'm glad that there are people like you out there. I live in poor old Montgomery Alabama and because I'm in the service we try to help the needy here as much as possible.       Thank you ladies for sharing that experience, I am sure it will inspire many people to give more, and people who never gave to start. I was amazed at the turn over too, wow that's a lot of food to move so quickly. I donate here in Louisiana and I don't think ours is set up nearly as well as that one. North Carolina is doing a GREAT job too.

      I was bummed when I missed the promotion, now I am downright sad! I will definitely have to pay more attention so I don't miss anymore opportunities to help. I just started couponing so I haven't donated anything to a food bank or anything just yet but have been able to do a few little things for some friends, which is awesome. Also, I have a family member who joined the military and have stockpiled some things to send care packages to his unit when the time comes. You tell us about so many good deals though, I will probably go ahead and donate what I have, the sales will always come back around! Thanks again for all you do!

        Okay, so I think I'm correct that the Food Banks will take personal items like razors, body wash, etc, but I was wondering, does anyone know who might take/need/want jar candles donations?

          Maybe a shelter for women who are victims of domestic violence?
          They are a little hard to find because they have to be safe, but if you can get a phone number for them, they usually do pick-ups.
          Ours in Athens GA runs a store where they sell donated items (kind of like Goodwill) but all the money goes to women and children who have left abusive homes and have to start all over. HTH!!

      I am glad to help which ever way I can for those that can't put food on thier tables because of the economy. The biggest bonus to me is that I just got my ALL YOU magazine this past Saturday and I LOVE IT! I can't put it down and now when I see your posts about coupons in the ALL YOU magazine I don't have to pass up the deal! Thanks again !

Everytime I order a free sample, I also order one for our local homeless shelter so they get one too. Usually I donate my free sample to them too, so they get two. It's not a food bank, but they need everything a food bank needs too. Thanks for all your tips! I agree, since we are saving so much money we need to share the wealth with those who are going through rough times!

      i always offer tons of free stuff to my family. no one has the time to come get anything. i cant even get them to come and get the things i know they need .all i hear is , well can you bring it to me? i know this is gonna sound mean but ,no. i live by a food bank , from what i can tell its open once a month . i see people standing outside there in really cold weather , in a huge line some of them w/ children. in times like these more and more people need help from a strangers.i am crying now even thinking of it .who knows in the not so distant future that could be my family standing there. i think i will just load my items and take them there ,mabe even bring a few boxes of used toys. thank you jenny, i can see it differently now .its not just a huge problem ,that i cant do anything about. like jenny said in the video every little bit helps .1 dollar = 7lbs. of food or my box of cereal + your box would eventually = alot of cereal.
