This is my 2nd trip using coupons. $223 for $102. What day of the week do you all shop? Just curious as some things were out of stock and I had to get rain checks.
  • Amy J.
I shop CVS on Sunday morning, because the sales start on Sunday in my area. I normally do my Kroger trip on Monday mornings (sales start Sunday there as well).
    Hope this helps.
I know a lot of folks do CVS on Saturday nights b/c most CVS stores you can get the prior week's deals and the sale deals that start on Sundays that night b/c they're switching everything in the system. you'll have to check your local CVS to see if they do the same.

It really depends on your area, what stores you shop and what day of the week your stores start their sales.
  • My Publix trip on 3/8 I saved $334.62 and actually got paid back 9.59 on publix gift card, so, I had 0% paid OOP................and a $9.59 start on my next trip. I LOVE Publix!!
  • I think I may need to explore Rite Aid more!
  • kelli
Rite Aid is great!!! I didn't start shopping there until December of last year and I really wish I had started sooner. Some weeks aren't great but the awesome thing about Rite Aid is that you don't have to go shopping if you don't want/need anything that week... Unlike with CVS and Wags, where the rewards have to be spent in the store and expire and sometimes you end up buying something that you don't need or want because it's a good deal and you can roll your ecbs/rrs, at Rite Aid - you get a check in the mail. A real check that you can put in your bank.

My family and I went to Bi-Lo yesterday and our total was $66.14. After using our bonus card and coupons, we ONLY paid $6.46. My husband and I were so excited.
  • smile70s
A small victory - went to CVS with 2 $2 coupons for the OralB CrossAction toothbrushes (from my dentist!). Bought 2 toothbrushes, got back $8 ECB, bought two gallons of milk and some half n' half and only paid $.58 for them with the ECB! Had to grin at the look on the face of the man behind me when the cashier said, "$.58 please." hee hee
Could have done better, but didn't have the time this week - but you still can't beat two free toothbrushes and a free gallon of milk!

Not my best week at CVS (looking forward to the deo deal this Sunday tho'!) but this definitely was my best Kroger week ever!
There was a manager's special at my Kroger on Crest White Strips....wooo hooo! I got three boxes for $5.08 after sale price and Q's!
I definitely want to see my percentage saved be better, but i'm working on it and guess i did fairly well for someone who's only been at this for about 10 weeks :-)

    total spent OOP: $9.79
    EB's recvd / use next week: $7.00
    total after EB's $2.79
    Saved: 78.5%

    Kroger (2 trips this week)
total before sales and Q's: $201.01
    total spent: $40.29
    Saved: 80%

    before sales and coupons: $246.65
    spent: $50.08
    saved: $196.57 or 79.7%
