We ventured out for quite a few deals this week!

To start I remembered quickly why the travel size freebies at Target aren’t for me.  We spent an hour wandering around trying to find things just leave with 1/3 of what I hoped to find.  I’ll gladly keep sharing the freebies but I’m not spending any more time trying to find them!

Walgreens
Total before sales and coupons: $89.25
Total spent: $19.62
Total Saved: $69.63 or 78%

Unlike Target, this trip went perfectly.  I haven’t shopped in Walgreens in months and was very pleased to leave happy with no difficulties in checking out!

Kroger
Total before sales and coupons: $92.09
Total Spent: $36.88
Total Saved: $55.21 or 59.9%

Target
Total before sales and coupons: $19.44
Total Spent: $8.91
Total Saved: $10.54 or 54%

I got a $5 gift card back and then used that and a bit more to buy a new toaster…  thankfully I don’t count that into our grocery budget!

      I hear ya Jenny. And besides my Target in my area isn't very coupon friendly when it comes to trial sizes. I have to go get a manager and all sorts of stuff just because the clerk doesn't understand that the coupon doesn't restrict trial sizes.

      but I have found that CVS carries many of the same trial size brands at the same price as Target.

      CVS- 1 Schick Quattro razor refill (used $4 off), 4 boxes of A&H 2in1 dryer sheets (BOGO used 2 $1 off and 2 .55 cents off, and 2 CVS brand candy to put me over $20 to use my ECB…total OOP $4.91! and I walked away with $4 ECB ($3 for razor and $1 for bring my own bag!) SO I guess technically I paid 91 CENTS!

      I got two bags of frozen organic blueberries/ a baggie (about a 1/4 oz wt) bay leaves/ 1lb organic mocha coffee beans/ box organic granola @ Earth Fare for $3.65 today! Woohoo!
      Still have my CVS/Walgreens runs to do tomorrow – snow this week messed up my normal shopping schedule on Tues.

      I went a little bit insane this week at Rite Aid but after SCR, I'll be making a profit.

      Total Saved: $305.80 or 84%
      *I'll be getting $69 from SCR, a $25 gc, and $10.99 MIR, I don't count these until I get them though

      Total Saved: $50.25 or 98%

      Kroger

      I got back $15.54 from an MIR this week but my spending was still really high. My goal is to spent about $25/week and no more than $100/month…

      Yeah, I just don't like Target or Walmart. Too much hassle and I rarely find what i am looking for.. I think Walgreens is allright, But I just prefer CVS dependability and consistency.

      I hear ya too Jenny on Target- I could not find the Gillette bodywash that would have been free. Very frustrating!

      I got 15 boxes (the largest size) of kellog's cereal and a loaf of bread from bi-lo for 14 and change. i worked it out…..the boxes were originally 3.50-4+ a box. i got them for .83 a box….i'd call that a steal…..

      i went to publix yeaterday and spent 60.51. I saved a total of 54.52. I think that's pretty good. I bought a lot that was not onsale, but had coupons for that were about to expire. I feel so blessed everytime I save money. It really helps around this house!

      Just when we were down to our last pack of TP, Walgreens had a great deal again! Two Cottonelles, 4 Kotex, 2 Nestle easter candies and 8 boxes of Kleenex for just under $20…that's the kind of week I LOVE at Walgreens.

      JENNY! I would love to know which Walgreens you shop most frequently at?! I live in Columbia, SC and I have trouble using my Register Rewards to buy things that give me Register Rewards! They always tell me that they will not print! Do you know the reason behind this?! I am clueless!

      I went to Publix today to fill a prescription for my poor daughters ear :) We were walking around waiting and I found a B1G1 Purex Coupon (it expires today and I guess nobody wanted it). I went to Walgreens at scored to free bottles :) Today got a whole lot better.
