JZig – You weren't mistaken. Monopoly is a Hasbro game. It is listed on a different page for $9.99 along with Sorry, Scrabble, Clue and Life (on page 8A of my ad). The other games are on page 14A. Because the ad wording is “free $5 gift card with ANY Hasbro board game purchase of $20″, I think they should allow Monopoly in that deal. I'm going to Toys R Us today and will post back what they say…

Out of all the rebates I sent in after the end of the year, the x-mas Hasbro is the only rebate I have not received. Anyone else have this problem?

Can someone tell me how often deals like this occur? I live an hour away from TRU and was wondering if it was worth it to drive there. My son is only 20 months old so he can't play with the games yet, but if this is an awesome deal that doesn't ever come around I would like to go get them today. Thanks for your help! Also, in your experiences, how stocked is TRU with deals like this. Can I wait until this afternoon or do I need to head out there now?

Hasbro just added (or reset) some of the printable coupons this morning for the Monopoly game ($5 off) and Battleship ($4 off). Makes Battleship $1.99!!. It can be accessed on their website or at Playsaver (dot) com. I'm going to keep an eye out to see if they add others because there were high value printables for some of the other Hasbro games there a few weeks ago…

I see on the “fine print” of the TRU ad that it says that the $5 g/c is valid “6 hours after activation”. Are they sticking to that or is it able to be used right away so I can do a second transaction right then (or walk-out, walk-in)?? Just wondering if anyone has tried this!

It also says only one gift card per customer. Thankfully I live close enough to head there today and then go back tomorrow to use my gift card for another transaction. I will report on whether that worked. :-)

A couple things to watch out for — although the Memory rebate is valid for any version, the sale price of $4.99 only applies to the classic Memory game. I mistakenly first bought the Toy Story version and it rang up as $9.99 even though the sale sign was directly under it. Double check the item number on the sign before purchasing. Also, the Trouble coupon is for the R2D2 version, which is not part of the rebate so you cannot double dip on that one. Last, and maybe MOST IMPORTANTLY, check the expiration date of your promo gift card and don't forget to use it!! I got burned on this back in November because I stashed the card away without looking at it carefully. Got it out to use in February and was pretty upset to learn that I had lost out on $10.

Oh, and for those asking, I DID receive my Hasbro rebate from the last promo. I think it came in January. Might be worth calling or emailing to check on it.

When I try to print the coupons on hasbro.com, nothing happens. I can see them and click them, then when I print, it’s tells me my playsaver coupons printed, but nothing prints. Any ideas?

Maybe make your security setting less restrictive (Tools – Internet Options – Privacy – Set to a lower setting)? Sometimes that works if a coupon is being persnickety.

Ya'll made a mistake on the 11.99 games like the Bob it…..the sale is 14.99 (11.99 after rebate) plus the coupon from Hasbro which brings it down to 6.99.

Does anyone know if they will accept the rebate form printed from the computer, or does it have to be an original. I got home and the forms the cashier put in my bag are all expired. I live 20 minutes away so it's not worth making an extra trip.

I went to Toys R Us yesterday, got the gift card for the games. As the lady was handing it to me she informed me that it is only good till the end of the month (2 days). I am not real happy as the store is 30 minutes away. Is this how it is supposed to be?

When I went back to use my TRU GC, I asked the manager about it only having a couple of days, I was given the wrong GC. They are using ones with no expiration date. He did say that if it was to happen again to let the cashier know, or call the manager if I don't realize until I get home.

FYI – Toys R Us in N Charleston is out of Bop It. And lots of the other stuff is going quickly. Make sure you have a back-up plan and print more than just the ones you're hoping for in case you need to substitute something :)
