I actually have some other ECBs saved up from past weeks so we will use that to reduce the out of pocket cost even more.  This is an expensive week for me but getting things we need with CVS’s money is a great bonus to their system!

What Zip code are you using for the John Frieda $2.50 Q's. I have tried different ones & can't get the coupons??

    • Marie

If you go to the second link and do a hair profile, you can print 2 of the coupons. :)

      • AJ

Yes, I did this just now and got the 2.5 Q after filling out the hair profile. Nice thing is, they told me what to buy with the Q, too!! ;D

    • elisa

I was able to print 2 from their website by filling out the profile (just hit “back” “refresh” to print a second one), and another 2 from jenny's link using zip 29385.

    • mary

I don't think the coupons are available anymore…

    • martha74

I think there is one for $3 in the SS 3/07 insert

      • http://www.southernsavers.com/ Jenny

Looking it up, it expires on 4/10 so you can use Saturday night only.

    • pat

      what's a Q? sorry I am new to this?

      • kmmoore

Q is coupon :) If you haven't done so already, check out the coupon lingo in the getting started section. Some of the abbreviations can be confusing at first but you'll catch on quickly! Welcome to the exciting world of couponing ;)

  • Michelle

Are there any CVS $5 off $25 coupons?

    • Lori

Sometimes I find CVS coupons on iheartcvs(dot)com under the CVS coupon links. I have a 5 off 25.00 that expired last week, but my CVS will let me use it up to a week after it expired. So I plan to use it this week. Hope this helps.

  • Marianne

I am new to shopping at CVS and using their RR's.. how long does it take to figure out what to put in a transaction?? I am struggling with that…

    • http://www.facebook.com/Leviathan2 Damien Barber

It didn't take me long at all. The main thing is figuring out what will use the ECBs you already have efficiently and what will give you back ECBs that can be easily rolled into the next transaction and doing your transactions in such an order that it reduces your need for filer items and your total OOP cost.

For example. I will be starting with $5 ECBs. I am actually going to just buy the Dove Shampoo outright, and then use my ECBs from the dove to apply to the Dial. Then the dial ECBs and original $5 ECBs will be used on Jenny's Charmin/ Bounty/ Puffs Deal. Finally I will probably get 2 of the Sun Care using my $10 in ECBs from the Charmin deal. Again an expensive CVS week, but getting a lot of good products we need for really cheap!

      • Marianne

thanks, Damien.. I appreciate all the help I can get..

        • joyfullysaving

Another good way is to make a spread sheet in Excel, I have no clue how to do it but my husband does and I just type things into it with the Q's and the ECB and it tells me what I will be paying OOP sometimes the tax is off but it really makes the Scenerio figuring so much easier. That was my biggest struggle at first, Is started in Dec and I am still getting the hang of it. Read all these blogs to they really help.

    • elisa

It really doesn't take that long once you do it a few times. I usually just make a list of the things I want to buy, then arrange them in a couple of different scenarios to figure out which would be the least OOP (out-of-pocket expense).

      • Marianne

thanks, Elisa.. I have done it 2 wks now and think I am not doing as well as I could be doing.. thanks again.

    • Marie

It didn't take me too long at all to figure out what to add into my transactions to get ECB's. Jenny typically posts scenario's each week that definitely help for people new to shopping at CVS. After a little while, you can start going through the ad and putting your own together. :) If I end up paying nothing, even with a few items I don't need, I will just donate them and get the ECB's.

    • Carrie

Since, after 6 months, of doing scenerios at WAGS and it still involving more thinking than I sometimes want to give (forget SODUKU and cross-word puzzles for exercising my brain, I just go to WAGS and figure out scenerios), I make things easy for myself at CVS. Since the ECBs do in essence act like cash and we get a whole month to use them, I just buy everything I need in one transaction and save the ECBs for the next shopping trip. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that in the long run the amount of money OOP is the same whether I make scenerios to get a low OOP this week or save them and lower my OOP next week. For example, last week I spent about $11 OOP and received $16 ECBs to use for this coming up week. Not only does this ease frustration but I'm in and out of the store in half the time it takes at WAGS.

      • wl

It depends on what you're buying. This week, if I did it all in one transaction, it would cost me about $20 OOP and I'd get about 10 ECB's to spend next week. By doing it in 2 transactions, I'm only going to spend about $10 OOP and get 10 ECB's to spend next week. I sometimes do it in one transaction (especially when I have a 5 off 25 coupon)–but this week it just works out better to do it in two.

      • JJ

I think it's a little bit more OOP if you do it this way, but if you are saving time and sanity it's totally worth it. I value my time as much as my money.

    • Amy_Q

Marianne- When I first Started CVS-ing, I just found a couple of Jenny's “deal ideas” (or maybe even her entire scenario) for things that I could use. Even if there were only a few things I would use. It's too confusing to start big, so just pick 2 or 3 things that you will use. I did the transactions exactly like she said. After a few weeks of that, I was able to start making my own transaction plans.

  • Marianne

I guess that should have been “ECB's”.. sorry

  • http://www.facebook.com/Leviathan2 Damien Barber

This looks like a really good CVS week!!!

  • Lisa

The Dove site is frustrating me. It asks me for registration info before letting me print a coupon, but then tells me I'm already registered. I can't find anyplace to login.

    • ET

I had the same problem so I registered with a different email address. After submitting all if my info, I got through and answered their survey only to find out that the coupons were no longer available!

      • Kristin

        Me too. Bummer!

        • http://www.facebook.com/Leviathan2 Damien Barber

Yeah, it's a shame this coupon is dead already. And why do they tease you with the coupon to get you to register and then tell you sorry, we don't have any more coupons… it's kinda bait and switchy. They pretend to offer you something that really doesn't exist just to get you to register with them, so they can try to sell you more stuff in the future.

          • Lucy

They actually haven't had that coupon available for about 2 weeks now.

          • livnlol

I emailed Dove and told them how disappointed I was after filling out their survey and not getting the coupons. They responded back saying they will mail me some.

          • ireneY

That happened to me with College Inn Broth (or was it Progresso?). I emailed them about the “bait and switch” and they mailed some coupons.

      • Marie

I logged in and got the same thing!! :(

  • amy

There's also a CVS store coupon for Pampers in the new May issue of Parents magazine. You can combine it with a mfg. coupon to get even more off the sale price. The CVS coupon is for $3 off…

    • Christie

Thanks so much! That magazine just came 2 days ago and I had not seen that coupon!

  • Holly Hatala

I went to the Dove website to get a coupon, signed up and it said they are out of them!

  • pianogretch

I just read a recall on some of the John Freida products. I wonder if that's why the coupons are no longer available?

  • Mom2teenagers

For those that didn't get the Dove hair care $2 printable, check 3/28 RP insert for $2.50/2.
Also, there were $3 off John Frieda q in 3/7 SS (expires 4-10).

    • ncangel

    • pianogretch

    • Jennifer Lark

I would Love to have these Coupons. Do you still have them available? Is so email me at tedebear0609@yahoo.com

    • Jennifer Lark

I am interested in the diaper Coupons!

      • Jennifer

I have a bunch of Pampers coupons I am willing to mail to someone who will use them. Send me your name/address to JHNabors@gmail.com. I just want someone who will use them to have them!

      • Anonymous

If you send me your address via email I will mail them to you in tomorrows mail. My email is homeisthebeachnow@yahoo.com

  • Ari

Im still trying to figure out CVS… my question is…those coupons listed on the bottom of the items, does that mean that you can use ALL those coupons at the same time or is it a list of coupons that are availble to use?

    • lisa

its a list of coupons avaiable to use, you can use a store coupon (ie, cvs or target coupon) and a manuf coupon on the same item at most stores! good luck! its really addictive when you see how much money you can save!!

    • moms_coupons

Those are the available coupons, not necessarily to all be used on the same item. You can typcially use one manufacturer coupon and one store coupon per item.

One item on this list that you can use both listed coupons is the Biore deal. One Q is giving you the free item when you purchase the strips, and the other is giving you $1 off the purchase of the strips. The free coupon is linked to the free item, allowing you to use the $1 off coupon for the strips.

Anyone feel free to correct me, or explain it a little better!

      • Carrie

Yes, since you can use a coupon for each product purchased, when you have a BOGO coupon, you can also use another coupon on the product you are getting for free.

    • AJ

You can use ONE red coupon (manufacturer's) and ONE blue coupon (store) on the same item. So if all the coupons are in red, you choose one. Look for the highest one first in your coupon cache, then the next and so on.

I'm about a month into couponing and this CVS ad will be my second week doing CVS and I'm already getting great deals thanks to this site!!!

      • moms_coupons

Never noticed the color coding! That's an awesome and easy way to note the available coupons!

  • bravo375

Does anyone know how much the Crest whitestrips are at CVS?

    • aprilorr

It ranges any where from 30 to 50 depending on the type.

    • toma

26.99 on sale today for next week's ecbs at my cvs.

  • AJ

    Here's my plan!

    Dove Hair Daily Treatment cost 4.49 – 1.5Q = 2.99 ECB 4.49

    John Frieda Condition cost 5.00 – 2.50Q = 2.50
    Biore Pore Strips cost 6.00 – 1.00Q = 5.00

    • joyfullysaving

Did you do this at the store yet? I am curious about the Dove daily treatment.. I thought it was only on regular shampoo and conditioner. I only have a Q for the daily treatment, so it would be great if I could…thanks

      • San

I used the dove daily coupon yesterday on conditioner.

  • Aimee

Just a quick question, Jenny. Your last transaction says buy 1 Neutrogena Suncare @ $9.99. Don't you have to buy at least $15 worth to get the 5 ECB's? Thanks for everything!

    • Aimee

Sorry, Jenny. I see you purchased another Neutrogena in the previous transaction. I should refrain from making any comments until I've finished my morning coffee, lol. My brain was not fully functioning. Have a great day!

      • a66iesmom

        me too- sorry!

        • crazystacy

Confused: I was wondering the same thing about the Neutrogena. I thought that it had to be $15 of Neutrogena in the same transaction to get the ecb's. So is that not the case? If not do you mind explaining how it does work? Thanks!

  • reginamarie

Ugh! I got a $10/off $50 coupon in my email from CVS. Any ideas how I should use this? I am starting off with 14 ECB. I don’t need any sunscreen (not sure about the shelf life and I already have some). I can’t use charmin toilet paper b/c it clogs up our septic sysetem.

I do have the CVS $3off Qn for Huggies & I have the $3. IP.
I also have a CVS $7/ off $15 Revlon coupon.

Any help would be very appreciated.

  • Snowski824

So excited after my CVS run yesterday. The kiosk gave me a $5 off $15 health care purchase and I was getting the diabetes testing kit, Irish springs soap, and colgate toothpaste. I spent .96 cents in cash and $2 ECB for all of it and walked out with $9 ECB for later!

  • texassaver

does CVS ever do ECB deals on laundry detergent? That's always an item I have a hard time finding a good price on.

    • Snowski824

Yeah they'll often have ECB deals on detergent. Another great place to stock up is when Publix has the All Small and Mighty for 2.99 b/c there are usually $1/1 coupons (sometimes $2/1) and that's a pretty good deal.

    • Suemh

f you have a BiLo in your area, they often have All BOGO and there are always coupons.

    • Nicole

I just made my first batch of homemade detergent and it worked great. You could search for recipes on the internet and try it. It only cost .03 per load. Good alternative if you can't find a deal on store bought.

  • Christy

My CVS here in Madison AL has recently starting taking competitior’s coupons. I am not sure what they define as a competitor but I did just use a $5 off $25 for Rite Aid yesterday. May want to see if your CVS is also taking competitor coupons.

  • April

I saw Jenny last night and just want to say to those of you that haven't taken advantage of her workshops… drop what you are doing and find one nearest you! We drove and hour and a half and it was totally worth it! She is funny and informative and even if you think you know what you are doing you will learn even more right from the master couponer herself!!

The land of the free is just down the street and I can't wait to go to CVS and start shopping with my pretend money!!!!!

    • Carol

We drove for an hour in the pouring rain to get to Jenny's Oneonta, Alabama workshop. Totally worth it! We learned so much! Thank you Jenny!

    • Carol Lee

She is in Nashville next and I wouldn't mind driving, but the gas would cost close to $100. Jenny, Will you be anywhere near Atlanta in the near future??

  • reginamarie

Ugh…I got a $10 off/$50 coupon in my email. Any ideas how to make this work. I am starting off with $14 ECB I think. I don't really need any more sunscreen, and I can't use charmin b/c it clogs my septic system. I don't particularly need any paper towels.

I do have $3. CVS huggies Qn + $3. IP
    I do have a $7. off $15 Revlon cosmetics

Any help how to lower my OOP would be great. Thanks

    • SB

What is that you need? And I will try and help you come up with a scenario? Is there things from this week and next week, if so you could go on Saturday and get deals on both. I got one of those two and plan on going tomorrow night.

      • reginamarie

I don't know that I NEED anything! This is my play money/hobby! Unfortunately I already went for this week. I am think I will get:
        huggies $19.99(-$3. CVS- $3. IP+ $13.99)
        dove shampoo $4.49
        dial bodywash $4.50
        john freda $15.00
& I guess some fillers to get me to $50.
My goal was to use my $10 Qn + 14 ECB= $24 + whatever Qn and maybe not have to spend more than $10 or so OOP. I think I have got it together. It makes it tough when I get the larger money off email Qn.

        • http://www.facebook.com/people/Ashley-Perry/677270439 Ashley Perry

This is going to be my plan, in case it helps you or gives you any ideas… (and I hope I did this right, because I am just starting out this week!!)

          1 Dove Conditioner = $4.49 – $1.50q = $2.99
          1 Dial Nutriskin = $5.49 – $1q = 4.49
          1 Biore Cleanser = $6 – $6q = $0
          1 Biore Strips = $6 – $1q = $5
          1 John Frieda Shampoo = $5 – $2.50q = $2.50
          1 Pampers Swaddlers $8.49 – $3 CVS q (found in the newest issue of Parenting magazine) – $1.50q = $3.99
          3 Nivea Womens Body Wash = $14.97 – 3 $2q's = $8.97
          1 Nivea Mens Body Wash = $4.99 – $2q = $2.99

          Total before Q's = $55.43
          Use the $10 off $50 Q = $45.43
          After using all the Q's = $20.93
          After using my $10 ECB = $10.93
          Get back = $18.99 ECB's

          • Monica

Nivea Womens and Body Wash are cheaper at Target this week. They are on sale for $3.49. So it will be $1.49 after $2 qs.

  • amandathen

Question….If it says “Limit 1″ can you go to another CVS and do this deal again? Or does your CVS card store the info that you already received one deal and you can't do it again?

    • http://deedeelovejoy.blogspot.com/ DeeDee_FL

it is all connected to your card. Limit is one. Only way to get around it is if your spouse has their own card.

  • Rachel

$4.50 off Pamper's Dry Max box of diapers printed on my CVS receipt yesterday.

  • Jennifer Lark

Does anybody know when they are going to mark there Easter Candy 75% off?

    • SusanStauffer

My CVS (St. Augustine FL) marked them down to 75% today. :)

    • http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=501903563 Elizabeth Simpson-Pickett

My CVS in Shreveport, LA had them marked down to 75% yesterday.

    • Amy J.

mine (in southeast Georgia) still had it at 50% off this morning…..and not much to choose from…LOL! i did get the last couple of Reese's pb eggs though! :-)

    • marysc

I mentioned this tonight (Easter was still 50% off) and was told they got an email today informing all stores NOT to reduce to 75% yet!!

  • lynn8808

I'm a member of Vocalpoints, but never get anything in the mail…did I forget to do something?

    • Jbush27

I am too. The Puffs was something you had to sign up to get, but I did sign up for it and I got an email from them stating that I should have received my free sample by now. I never got mine. I really would have loved those coupons for this week. I am hoping they got lost at the post office and get it in th email tomorrow.

      • elisa

I got the same email from them, but never got my sample, either! I'm glad I'm not the only one. =)

        • mandy

I also have an account with vocal point, but never receive mailers :(

      • vadahlia

I just received the Puffs this morning, so keep an eye on that mailbox!

        • Krista

It's great to hear you just got your Puffs Qs. I got the e-mail too and thought- what, never got it! I'm still holding out hope because I always get awesome stuff from Vocalpoint!

        • Amanda

What kind of q's came with the samples? Just curious if I should wait or go ahead with my plan to shop today.
          Thanks

          • 3monkeysmom

I got my Puffs sample in the mail today but I honestly don't remember signing up for that one. Anyway it had (1) $1 and (5) $0.50. They're all for the Puffs Plus Lotion.

      • Megan_A

I was thinking the same thing and then mine showed up today just in time for my CVS trip. I would wait on the Bounty/Charmin/Puffs deal and see if you get yours before the end of the week.

      • Christy

Me too!! I was wondering where my Puffs were, glad to see its wasn't just me

      • ireneY

I was beginning to suspect our mail carrier “forgot to deliver” my samples, but feel bad for thinking that, now that you all report not getting it either!

  • Susan

Does anyone know if CVS take Target coupons?

    • Jbush27

No they don't. They only take Manufacturers.

      • tina j

Actually that depends on the Manager of that store. Ask at the store you use. MY store accepts competitor coupons. The one 6 miles down the road just recently stopped accepting competitor coupons.Guess which store I use now!!

      • Amanda

I know that the one in Rochester, NY near my family does take competitors coupons. I used a WAGS RR there once. However, in the Richmond, VA area where I live they do not. :( So, it never hurts to ask.

    • Michelle

I think you should just ask your CVS if they 1) Take Competitor coupons and 2) if Target is considered a competitor. I say this because I recently found out that my CVS takes Rite Aid coupons. So it doesn't hurt to ask!

  • Michelle

Question about CVS ECBs- when the ad says limit 1, does this mean you can only purchase 1 item for ECB rebate the entire time of the sale, or can you do another transaction later and get the ECB again?

    • Colleen

It means you can only get the ECB's for that particular sale item once that week — however, check your receipt because it will tell you if you've reached your limit and sometimes it's pleasantly surprising to see that CVS has “upped” the limit. Everything is tracked through your CVS card, so if you try to do the deal again, the ECB won't print if you've already reached the limit.

    • AKLLHOLL

You can only get ECB for that item once per sale per card. So the Dove sale next week–you get the sale price as many times as you want but you only get the 4.49 ECBs once. If your spouse has a card you can do it again on his card but can only use those ECBs with that card. HTH

  • AnnR.

My Cvs will not let me use ECB and manufacturers coupons in the same transaction…Please comment someone

    • Colleen

That seems kind of crazy. It should make no difference to the store. We all combine coupons and ECBs all the time. Do you hand them everything at once? Maybe try first giving your coupons, wait for the total, and then give them your ECBs. Just a thought…

Is there another CVS nearby where you can shop?

    • Jennifer

Impossible!! Unless CVS changed the rules. Did the store manager or cashier tell you that? You should contact CVS customer service to confirm and complain about this.

    • lisa

thats nuts!!! I used 4 coupons (“3 manf and 1 cvs) and 2 different ecbs last night! the cashier was cheering me on, when i paid $4 oop and got back $10ecb!!! I would so find someone to complain to!! good luck!

    • Amanda

I would complain to corporate. My CVS's in the Richmond, VA area are super coupon friendly and I find their system much better than WAGS. I still do WAGS from time to time, but have scaled back a lot. I always use MQs and ECBs in the same transaction plus sometimes other CVS Qs. I have never had a problem in over a year of couponing.

On a side note to make me happy, they have gave me prescriptions for free once (because I had problems a few times previously), they have taken expired ECBs I forgot about (one was about a week over expiration) and today they were out of the single TP rolls that you could get two for free with the CVS coupon from the machines, so they substituted the four pack for $2 and took the (2) $1 Qs so I could get four free still. I have been very pleased with CVS! They continue to keep me a happy customer, even when I don't ask.

      • Erin

I'm in Richmond, too, and CVS is the best!

  • ashley

I live in FRANKLIN TN does anyone want to show me how this is done…neyland10@yahoo.com

  • Ashley

I love CVS, and the one I go to typically has great customer service. Today the cashier was a lady I hadn't seen before though, and she was so unpleasant. She saw my coupons and was clearly not happy about them. The last coupon beeped and would not go through, and she told me that I had reached my coupon limit. Coupon limit? I was not aware of any coupon limit…I've actually used more coupons than that at CVS before, and I had the correct products to use the coupon. The lady in line behind me, who was a fellow couponer (and very nice) said to try doing two transactions. The cashier was NOT happy about that, and I felt bad but she was just so nasty about it! This time a different coupon would not work. It was only for $1 and I still got a good deal so I let it go. Does anybody know if CVS does have a coupon limit, and why it would reject my coupon? I only used 6 coupons, to me that's really not a lot.

    • Jbush27

That has never happened to me before. I did try to use a rite aid coupon before that said manufacturers and it beeped and she said they couldn't take it because it was one that said RC on it and that barcode won't work for them.

    • Grace Acker

That happened to me the other day too! I think it has something to do with what order they scan the coupons in because my sister did the exact same transaction as me and it worked for her? Unfortunately for me I lost out on a $5 dollar coupon!

    • Megan_A

Perhaps she meant that you had more coupons than items. That's the only limit I know of for coupons at CVS. If that wasn't the problem, you can always take your receipt and the coupon back and ask a manager to fix it.

    • JJ

Hi Ashley, I think that was me! And you're right, she was acting like the coupons were going to come out of her paycheck. She is the only one who acts like that, and she's new so I am going to wait before I complain about her. You got a great deal on a lot of baby stuff if you're who I saw though. Just FYI I made a comment to her after you left about how a lot of us are able to afford things because of coupons and how happy we that CVS has good deals, not sure it did any good but at least I didn't get eyes rolled at me about and the lady behind us also commented on the great deals you can get with coupons.

      • ssh

Someone has brought this up before I think, but I wonder if sometimes the cashiers/employees aren't a little jealous to see the savings of their customers, and the reason they get upset is they don't know how to get the same savings or know it takes more work than they want to put into it. I had a girl at CVS say to me today that she gets mad when her customers get $100 of stuff for next to nothing. Then we got to talking and she said she wished she could coupon like so many of her customers. I gave her this website, but she seemed hesitant to try. I don't know, just a thought.

        • Ashley

You might be right about that. CVS in general is SO awesome, so I'm not complaining, but really it's in a store's best interest to be as coupon friendly as possible. Not only do they get more business that way, but for every manufacturer coupon they are reimbursed the face value plus a handling fee. It's something they should mention when training employees.

      • Ashley

Oh, that's too funny that you're on here too! I love Southern Savers, haha! Yeah, I definitely didn't feel it was worth complaining about her, everybody in that store is usually really great and it's a well-stocked and nice store, so I won't let that one little glitch get me down. I did get a great deal on baby stuff, I was very happy about it! I have a new nephew on the way and I know my sister in law is going to be super happy to get all of that stuff! I'm new to couponing, but totally loving it! Thanks for being so nice and understanding the other day!

        • JJ

There are a lot of us southern savers that go to that store, Sunday mornings if I go in right after church lets out I will usually run into one or two others, we'll help each other find where the things on the deals list are hiding :) You just have to look at who's holding coupons and has the same stuff in their cart as you…there's not a gang sign or anything yet lol.

    • kassikayd

what i understand is that u cannot have more manf. coupons then your actual number of items. However, this does not apple to cvs coupons or ecb, so if u use your manf q”s first then your cvs q”s and last your ecbs, the limit should not apply.

  • cgriffith86

Hi, I'm new to SouthernSavers and wanted to check out the whole CVS thing, but I have a question. Are there some weeks that CVS doesn't have anything that you want?? Or if stuff is cheap do you still buy it and donate it? Also I don't have any coupons from newspapers yet. Thanks for any advice!

    • Ashley

I only buy stuff that I want if I am actually paying for it. I do buy things that I don't want if I get it free or make money off of it. That's the stuff that I donate. HTH

    • homeisthebeachnow

Good morning, I've found sometimes CVS has nothing I want/need however if I have ECB that are about to expire I'll purchase items w/ the ECB's for things giving me back ECB's. Those things I purchase usually go to my daughters high school food pantry where hygiene items are needed as well.

    • Lisa

I only buy the stuff I think I will actually use, except toothpaste, deodorant & body wash – those I can donate to my church's homeless ministry. But I'm not going to buy contact solution, for example, just because it's free. But to answer your question, I don't think there's been a week that there hasn't been something I wanted.

  • dealfinder86

Where can I get the fruitopia coupon? Is it in a CVS booklet or the weekly insert?

    • jhoran

In the cvs reinventing beauty magazine. Has a photo of penelope cruz on it. Not all the stores carry the magazine. Cost .99

      • aclanford

Can you tell me what page it is on in the mag? I found the ad for the frutopia, but not a coupon. I only found like $5 worth of Q's, but the front of the mag says it has over $30 worth of Q's inside? I'm confused and feel extremely blind. Help???

        • jhoran

It's not on any page. There's an insert in the mag. that has all the coupons in it. Sounds to me like someone tore the insert out and put it back on the shelf. Good idea to check next time to see if the insert is in there. When I buy the sunday paper from the dollar tree, I always check to make sure the inserts are in the newspaper.

    • SusanStauffer

It is in the CVS Reinventing Beauty magazine, the new spring issue. It is 99 cents, and has lots of good coupons. I usually buy at least 4 magazines. They usually have them at the front check-outs; if you don't find them, ask a cashier. Not all CVS's bother putting them out.

  • shopgirl

Jenny had stated at a recent workshop I attended that you could go to CVS on Saturday nights and would be able to catch both the expiring ad and the new ad at the same time. I've never tried and would like to do so. At what time should I go to catch both? Can anyone share their experience(s). I live in Athens, AL. Thanks!

    • Carrie

You would need to ask your individual store when they start the new ad. Some stores that are 24 hour don't start early but some stores that aren't 24 hours start their new ads as early as 6:00 pm. So, ask what your store does.

    • http://atyourservice-lgreene.blogspot.com/ Lynn Greene

I tried this and it worked for me! I don't recall where I read or heard this (probably from Jenny), but yes it did work. I live in Shelby, NC and I was thrilled to say the least.

    • toma

My CVS (in North Georgia) has both week's deals all day on Saturday. The only problem is last week's deals are not clearly marked so I have purchased items NOT available for ecbs. I have to have both week's sales papers with me when doing both weeks on one day.

    • mom2kyleegrace

Shopgirl, I'm in Hartselle and I was able to do that on Thurs. The Hartselle Enquirer has their ad so they allow you to use both. However the Sunday's ad signs were already taken down. I believe she said they put up the new ad on Fridays.

    • lisa

the only problem you risk running into is not haveing the item of the current week in stock!

  • brendaarndt

I have a question for anyone that has went through this before. I have $2.00 off coupons for the Nivea deal of get $5 EB when you purchase $15. If I buy 3 totaling $14.97 will I get my $5 EB coupon since I will be .03 cents off the total of $15. If anyone knows this please let me know. Thanks alot

    • mandy

Unfortunately, I don't think so. If u look above at Jenny's scenario (underneath where she lists the Nivea) you will see from her example that she purchased 4 bottles, not 3. Sorry :(

      • Suemh

I think it is worth a try. I got the $3 ECB's for Easter candy last month and I was 13¢ short. If it doesn't work with 3, then buy another one.

    • kim

It should work. I did the P&G deal for this week today and my total was $24.96 when it needed to be $25 and I still got the $10 ECB. This happens all the time when the items end in .99 Just make sure you are really close to the correct number!

    • Robynne in TN

I did that exact scenario price-wise with the John Freida last week – total was $14.97 before Q's, but I still got the $5 ECB for $15 purchase – it printed out automatically with no problem.

  • mandy

Can anyone in Jacksonville, FL find the Biore coupon?? Just wondering if I misplaced it, or something…can't find it.

    • SusanStauffer

I don't think we got that one; I couldn't find it either.

    • Samantha_White

The coupon for free Biore cleanser WYB Biore strips wasn't in the southern virginia newspaper coupons either. I wonder what areas actually did get this coupon.

      • Kelley

We got this coupon in the Atlanta area. I just went to CVS and used 2 of them. It actually took off 7.99 even though the item was on sale for 6.00. I bought 4 Biore items used 2 BOGO q's; $3 off $15 order; 5.00 ECBs; grand total .02 + tax. I also received the 5.00 ECB.

      • moms_coupons

Got the Biore BOGO in the New Orleans paper as well. Haven't tried the deal just yet, though, and I'm wondering what dollar amount will be taken off after Kelley's comment! Planned on $6, so it'll just be a bonus if it's $7.99!!!

  • valeriejcm

The Softsoap body wash is $4.49, has an ECB for $2, there is also a $1 man. coupon and a $2 coupon in the “reinventing beauty” magazine (99 cents at the register) so a money maker (not counting the cost of the magazine, but there are LOTS of coupons in it). AND although the sign says “limit 2″ when I looked at my receipt after my transaction, it said I still had another purchase to meet my max, so I went back & got another one. That receipt also said I had another purchase left! I don't know how many deals they will let you have. I will go back next week and see how much Softsoap they will pay me to take home!!!

    • SusanStauffer

Is this the new Spring issue, with Penelope Cruz on it? I am looking through mine right now, and can't find the $2 coupon. ? I can find the $1 coupon in the tear-out section, but can't find any $2 coupon. Help! I'd love some free bodywash! :)

      • valeriejcm

Yes, this is the one. The coupon for the body wash is also in the tear-out section on the right hand side, on the far right of the bottom row next to the Irish Spring.

        • SusanStauffer

My spring Reinventing Beauty (with penelope cruz) doesn't have that coupon. Next to the Irish Spring is a $1.00 off Softsoap Ensembles hand soap. :(

I didn't know the magazine had different coupons! :( I'm in FL.

      • shananava

Most CVS will let u use store coupons a month after exp. Only one I went that was small said they werent supposed but she let me since she sees me a few times a month, near BF in another town. They allow it at mine at home too. May be worth asking if this was in last issue. I will have to go thru stack and check.

  • Maria

I just found a Pampers Q in the new Parents magazine (May issue?). It's for $3 off any jumbo pack or box of the new Pampers with Dry Max, and it's a CVS Q, so it can be combined with the manufacturer's Q. Hopefully the stores will be stocked with this new diaper so I can use both.

    • Lisa

In asheville that about the only diaper they have now! I received a $4.50 of a box pampers on my cvs receipt, so I stacked it with $2.00 off manf couopn. plus $3 off $15, then i got 2 johnsons product with coupons off for those! I used ecb, i paid $4 oop, and got back $10 ecb!!!! i was so proud!!

  • Betty

Thanks CVS in Shelby on Highway 74 u guys are awesome and so so nice!!! Thanks

  • Christy

I got the shampoo and body wash for FREE today – YIPEE!! THANKS!! :)

  • joannalg

Just tried to print the $2 coupon for Dove Hair Care and got the response that all the coupons were gone!! Any suggestions??

I have another question for anyone who can help. I got the coupons out of the magazine they offer at CVS and there were quite a few coupons in it. The coupons say they are a manufacturer's coupon but they also have CVS pharmacy written on them (some are in small print but still there) does that mean that they are in store coupons only to use at CVS??? Thanks for the help!!!

    • marysc

If the coupon barcode starts with a 9 or a 5, it is a manufacturer coupon. I don't know about CVS, but at RiteAid the store coupons routinely say manufacturer… maybe they get reimbursed somehow for them, but they treat them like store coupons and let you stack them with a manufacturer coupon.

  • brendaarndt

Yes, I also need a Dove shampoo coupon! :-(

  • Renee B

Myrtle Beach, SC—John Frieda Products ringing up $4.99 instead of $5 as advertised on the shelf tickets. This makes it an issue when you ring up your 3 products and don't get your $5 in ECB's because you would have missed it by 3 cents. I asked the clerk and after confirming the error, he gave me $5 in cash.

    • kim

It isn't because you didn't spend the $15, it is because there is an error with their system. It has been this way for a couple of days. You don't always have to get exactly on the dollar just really close. For example, the nivea shower gels are $4.99 and you only have to buy 3 to get the ECBs for spending $15. Only the John Freida is causing problems.

  • Christy

Hi! I'm new to couponing at CVS. This past week I tried to use both the BOGO Pedialyte coupon and the $1.50 off coupon and they wouldn't let me use both. The cashier said it was because I was trying to get money off the free Pedialyte. Was I supposed to have the $1.50 off coupon scanned before the BOGO coupon? I didn't know if the coupon order mattered or if there was just something else going on. Thanks for any insight into this!

    • ireneY

Definitely hand over $ Q before BOGO Q. Someone else told me to try it and it works! At CVS, the BOGO Q ties to both products. If the $ is handed over first, only one product is accounted for.

      • moms_coupons

Curious about this…I haven't tried using a BOGO at CVS yet. If you give them the $1/1 coupon first, then the BOGO, I was thinking it would default to taking off the cheaper of the two products for the BOGO, which would mean you wasted your $1/1 coupon.

I'm specifically talking about the Biore deal…I have the BOGO for buying the strips to get the cleanser, and the $1/1 any Skincare. So, if the $1/1 skincare applies to the cleanser for some reason when I hand that one over first, then it would be a wasted coupon, right? If you give them the BOGO first, then the only product left to apply the $1/1 to is the strips. Hmmm…I don't know! Not going to CVS till tomorrow, so if someone would please comment on their experience…TIA!

        • Kelley

Do you have a q for 1.00 off the strips? If so then it should work using both 1.00 off and BOGO. The BOGO that I used was buy strips get cleanser for free. The cleanser that I purchased had a hang tag for 1.00 off and the cashier scanned it before the BOGO. It would not work as the “free item” was the cleanser so the register would not take an additional 1.00 off.

          • moms_coupons

So my $1/1 is for any Biore skin care, which should work since I'm paying for the strips…the BOGO will pull off the cleanser and the $1/1 will apply to the strips.

          • moms_coupons

Forgot to re-order my coupons before I checked out…the BOGOs were scanned first, and the $1/1 coupons beeped! Oh well, learned that lesson! Funny part was the CVS is brand new, by my office, the grand opening was yesterday…when the coupon beeped, the cashier told me I had reached my limit of 3 coupons! She was nice enough to believe me when I told her there was no limit, tried another coupon, and smiled happily when it went through.

      • Christy

Thank you! I will definitely do that next time!

  • a66iesmom

on trans. #4, don't you need to get 2 suncare products for the ECBs? I might need that much of the sunless tanner.

    • mandy

she purchased the first bottle in one of the previous transactions. do don't have to purchase at the same time, just within the same week that the deals are going on…

  • shay

i just wanted to say that anyone who hasnt been getting the $/$$ qs from cvs needs to check their profile! when i signed up i checked the box for the promotions/coupons but never got any. When i went back to the site a few days ago, the box was not checked. i still havent gotten any, but hopefully i will soon!

    • Lucy

Thanks! I am signed up but I never ever get any $/$$ coupons, only stupid emails about their online products and specials. Thanks for the idea, hope it works :)

    • Michelle

I have never received any email coupons. I went and check my profile but I did not see anything that said promotions/coupons? I am not sure where you are talking about.

  • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/WKAYJWTLIWWK4B2LU7WI6CVG2M Lauren

Looking like a pretty good week for me. Thanks so much for the great job you do of getting all the deals posted each week.

  • Suemh

I know that this does not pertain to CVS but to a lot of us couponers. In mid-February I subscribed to “First For Women” magazine, with the hopes of lots of coupons. I just received my first issue and there are NO coupons in it. Hopefully, the March issue (which I bought) that I based my decision on was not just a ploy by the publisher to sell subscriptions and the next issue will be better.

  • vgwagoner

I am so excited by my purchases today! I went out specificially for papers and milk. The 2 guarentees I needed today. My CVS clerk tolds me last week that the coupons from the red box do not have to be used for what they say. So today I scanned my card got 2 $1 off coupons

    1/2 gallon whole milk 2.59
    2 papers @ 1.25 each 2.50
    Total = $5.09
    -$2 in store coupons
-$3 ECB from diaper deals several weeks back
    OOP = .21 with tax!!

The lady did not want to take my ECBs since I was buying papers, she said they would not work. I asked her just to try it. Scanned with no problem. Pretty much makes all my coupons free this week! This is so much fun!!

    • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/L4ZPDSNMDSNGTSVEINXNBGZJWM Rachel

I've been wondering about those coupons – I accidentally found out the $1 one would work on a $0.50 package of tissues so I was wondering how they worked . . . I just used mine today on items from the $1 section so everything was free.

      • Ashley

I would really suggest using them for what they are intended. If people don't, CVS(and any other stores where coupons are being misused) will start cracking down and be less likely to push something through even when it's legit. That makes for less deals and much less pleasant shopping. My store has already caught on and is now reading every letter to a T on those CVS coupons(how awkward) because apparently there's been a lot of people taking advantage.

  • mama22babygirls

Why cant I find the “$1 off Bounty 6pk +” coupon in my PG 3/07 insert? I have all the other coupons listed in there but am not finding this one, only a 25 cents for Bounty. Anyone know what page its on.

Oh and IM in FL if that matters….

    • mandy

I didn't have it either, & I'm in Jax, FL. Most likely, we didn't get that one. It's in a different regional paper.

      • Tonya

I didn't have it either & I'm in Greenville, SC. Just the 25 cents one.

  • Michelle

My CVS in Athens, AL was completely out of the John Frieda Root Awakening by 11:30am. They don't get a truck until Thursday…..I hate when they don't stock well for a sale!! I did get some other great deals though.

    • ssh

I know what you mean. I went to 2 CVS stores in my area (Lexington, SC) and they both were out of most of the John Frieda conditioners; still some shampoo though. I was able to find a few products, not my first choices, but they'll do. I was just glad to get a good deal and I still have a $5 ECB.

  • hjstearns

Will CVS take a ManuQ with a Kroger logo?

    • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/L4ZPDSNMDSNGTSVEINXNBGZJWM Rachel

Mine took a manu q with a target logo since it was still just a manu q. I think as long as the first # is 5 . . .

  • http://profiles.yahoo.com/u/L4ZPDSNMDSNGTSVEINXNBGZJWM Rachel

I had to go to 2 CVS today because one didn't have the Dial and I had a $4/20 I wanted to use. The 2nd store I went to, all the Dove shampoos/conditioners had $1.50 peelies – the other store didn't! So it was a money maker for me!

  • CVS Employee :)

Just to let everyone know the add for next week has got some AMAZING deals :). I'm a CVS employee, so I get a little insight :)

    • Lisa

That's good to know – I have $9 in ECBs from today's trip. CVS always has amazing deals!

  • Lisa

I went to CVS last week and I dont know if I rubbed the cashier the wrong way or she was having a bad day, but she said I “use too many coupons” and she was going to have to pay more attention to what I was doing from now on… How rude.. In addition to newspaper coupons and printables I had some direct from the manufacturer coupons for baby products and she seemed upset I was getting such a good deal… SO of course I went back and used BOGO pantiliner coupons and my ECBs and ended up with four packs for $1.13. Cant wait to see her next week

    • Lisa

The comments on here are making me very thankful for my CVS, Walgreens & Publix cashiers. All are friendly & don't seem to mind the coupons at all. Publix even congratulates me – telling me “smart shopping.”

      • wolverinehokie

Actually I agree with you Lisa. Publix has by far been the best for me, but Winn Dixie, Walgreens, and CVS have all been good too. Publix even lets me use my RR there. Is it silly I don't want to move just because I like my cashiers here?

  • Erin

Ok…the printable Dove coupon is out now. What would be a starting point for me at CVS now?

    Thanks for all your help!
Also, thanks for the great wrkshp you gave in Jacksonville.

    • mandy

Erin – I would still start out with the Dove, because you get the entire amount back. The coupon would have made for a money maker, but that's ok! Start off with what she lists, and check her website everyday. She mentioned a while back that this coupon was out, and they go quickly!

  • AKLLHOLL

This might be an odd question but the Trident Q from today's paper states “$1/3 Trident single packs, multipacks, or bottles gum”. Does that mean that you'd have to buy three multipacks? Those normally run around $2 each so $1 off all three isn't as effective as buy three single packs at $1 or less.

    • Robynne in TN

I was wondering that same thing – my Q is the same as yours, and to me it sounds like you have to purchase 3 of any size to get the $1 off. For the ECB you only have to buy 2 packs, so I'm not sure if it's worth it on that one…

  • lezli

I have to say, I am loving this site! I feel so ignorant, I never understood the amazing deals you can get if you really try! I want to make sure I get this- I have a questions…
You say..$5 ECB wyb $15 these John Frieda, Curel, Jergens or Biore products…
    Deal idea-
    (1) Biore Strips $6
    (1) Biore Cleanser $6
    (1) John Frieda Shampoo or Conditioner $5
    Use:
Free Cleanser wyb Strips SS 3/07
    -$1 off Biore printable
    -$2.50 off John Frieda
    Total Due: $7.50
Get Back: $5 ECB, makes it 83¢ ea
    ******************
Ok, so you are technichally only spending $11 because the cleanser is free but you still get the $5 ecb even though you didn't fork out $15??
Just want to make sure I am getting this. This is really exciting, I am coming up with some of my own transaction ideas. CVS rocks!

    • gingerinCA

You've mostly got it. Only you are technically spending only $7.50, because the cleanser is free, the strips are 5$, not 6$ (because of the 1$ Q,) and the John Frieda is $2.50, not 5$ (because of the $2.50 Q.) So 5$ for the strips plus #2.50 for the John Frieda plus 0 for the cleanser = $7.50. You will also have to pay tax. In my state, the tax is always OOP, and it's the before-coupon amount, so I would pay $7.50 plus tax of slightly less than $1.70 on 17.00 woth of items. Everyone's taxes differ, so Jenny doesn't include them in her calculations. CVS does rock. Good luck. :)

      • lezli

Oh ya, I see didn't take into account the coupons. But you still get $5 ecb even though you only spent $7.50? I thought you actually had to fork out $15 to get the $5 ecb. So basically it just has to be worth $15? No wonder everybody loves CVS!

  • jessyca

I went to CVS yesterday and that red coupon thing (sorry dont know the technical name of it) and it printed off 1.00 off one paper product and the single rolls of toilet paper are 2/1.00 this week so i ended up getting both rolls for free.. anyone else do this?

    • homeisthebeachnow

I did the same thing w/ 2 rolls of toilet paper:) Anytime I can get something for free is a score!

    • Christy

My redbox also printed off a $1.00 CVS skincare product. I used this coupon to buy a trial size of CVS hand lotion. So in all I got the two rolls of toilet paper as well as the lotion for free. I went back two days later and did the same thing. So it pays to check regularly if you are near a CVS. Love the free items!!!!!

      • homeisthebeachnow

I've done the same thing w/ the 2 rolls of toilet paper and also got a .99 cocoa butter stick…free! I've gone to CVS maybe 3 times in the last 2 weeks & they keep giving me free/almost free toilet paper. love it! Also Fruitopia shampoo & conditioner is on sale for $2.50 & there's a $2.00 off coupon in the little cvs mag, reinventing beauty.

    • 3monkeysmom

I always use that one to get the single roll of paper towels. They're $1.29 so just 0.29 after the q. I went today and in addition to that q I also got $1 off CVS skincare and I used it for CVS baby wipes. Got them for 0.49. I also got a $5 off 2 Almay make-up. They're buy one get one 50% off and I had (2) $1 q's so I got 2 mascaras for $3.49.
      I love CVS!!

    • http://DEALiciousfinds.blogspot.com/ DEALicious Finds

I love to use these when I'm doing scenarios with $/$$ coupons. Many times I may be around $5 away from a $5/$25 coupon, and I can't find anything else I want to buy- so I just stop in daily to get my cvs coupons stacked up, and by thursday or friday I'll have $5-$7 + towards my $/$$, and they end up being free! So the dollar amount really bumps down your original OOP!

  • Jill

Can I use coupons w/ items I'm buying for a rebate? I'm thinking of doing the Olay $20 rebate, but it sure would be nice to use coupons so I really don't have to spend $50.

    • moms_coupons

You don't have to come out-of-pocket $50 to get the rebate. The price on the receipt BEFORE coupons is what counts towards your total spending when working towards a rebate! Good Luck, hope you can work out a good deal!

      • Jill

Thank you! That's what I thought, but wanted to double check w/ the “experts”. :-)

  • MamaGreg

Heads up on John Freida- They rang up at 4.99 for some reason (ad says $5) so I was 3 cents short for the ECBs to print out. The manager had to force it through somehow, but it was after about 10 minutes of trying to get her to understand what I was talking about. Never had that happen before. The cashier and manager were very nice and friendly about it, but they truly didn't understand what I was saying. It was kind of funny!

    • Robynne in TN

That's strange – last week I bought 3 of the John Freida at $4.99 each and they ECB printed out automatically even though it was $.03 short!

  • Lynn

I tried posting a link but said it had to be checked before it would go through. I just wanted to give everyone the heads up in case no one saw this but they have had a product recall due to microbial contamination on some of the John Frieda hair products. :(

  • http://www.eastwoodcontracting.com/ Adam Smith

They are out of Dove shampoo coupons, but they don't tell you that until after you've registered.

  • Crystal

5 off 30 expire 4/24 on register reciept… Check those..I have gotten 2 in the past two weeks

  • Leah L.

There are some printable CVS & manufacturer coupons here: http://print.coupons.com/couponweb/Offers.aspx?…

  • wolverinehokie

I just got a $4 off $20 beauty purchase coupon in my email. Any idea what counts as a beauty purchase? Like does the shampoo, conditioner, biore stuff count?

    • megan10

How do you sign up through your account to get these types of coupons….i shop at CVS every week and have never gotten $ off of $$ coupons…just curious.

      • wolverinehokie

Did you link your card to your email address? I signed up 3 months ago and just got my first coupon last week so it might take awhile.

      • Leah L.

You can go to their website and make and account and attach Extra Care card and your email address. That should get you all the good emails.

        • moms_coupons

I've had my card only since late February, and I started getting my emails last week. Just make sure, like the two above have already mentioned, that you've registered an online CVS account and have noted your email address and Extra Care Card number.

    • moms_coupons

I was wondering the same thing! I already worked the Biore deal, so can't use it for that.

    • http://deedeelovejoy.blogspot.com/ DeeDee_FL

I got a 20% off Q. Didn't realize it until late Sunday night tho. They always let me use them during that following week, so I figured I was safe! Put together a large plan using coupons and ECBs and the 20% Q….. Only to get it all rung up and they couldn't take the Q!!!! GRrrrrrrr! I spent about $12 and the original total was $69 something. IF the Q had worked I would have paid only tax!!!

      • wolverinehokie

I got the 20% off too, but the fine print said it couldn't be used on sale items. This one is different though since it says beauty items.

  • JillMSH

I love CVS! I spent $0.85 today for $33 in products!

    2 Vwaters w/ $1/2
    2 Covergirl products w/ B1G1 q
    1 box huggies wipes $2 CVS q and $.50/1 mf q

Plus, I had $5 ECB and $3 off birthday email

Just wanted to share…my husband wasn't interested when I called him at work to share :)

    • moms_coupons

Good Job! Mine has the patience enough to listen, and yes, I've called him at work before too :) But, he knows I'm helping to save for him to go back to school full time, so he humors my incessant talking!

    • kat

i just had to read that out loud to my hubby…we had a good laugh! now he knows i'm not the only one!! awesome!

    • Ashley

Lol, I tell mine about my savings and he says “Yeah, that's good”. I tell him that I see women on here who say that their husbands are BLOWN AWAY by the savings. I say “Why aren't you like that?”. He says “I am. That's good.” Haha, yeah right.

      • JillMSH

Ha, ha! I'm glad we are all in the same boat! He tried to act interested when I told him my totals for the week, but it was weak!

  • Carol Lee

What is a vocalpoint mailer and where do you get it?

    • moms_coupons

Vocal Point is “a community of moms who…
      Love talking to other people
Get energized when they are asked for their opinions
Like searching for new knowledge and sharing it with others
Enjoy making a difference in people's lives “

At least, that's what's on their “About Us” page! Really, it's a place to become part of a community of word-of-mouth advertisers. You participate by registering, reading and commenting on articles, etc, they send you free samples, you post if you choose your opinion about those samples, and the sample packs usually include coupons which are marked as one for you and the rest to share with friends, since the point is to advertise the product you sampled via sharing with others.

  • DonnaTN

My CVS had $1 ECB wyb (2) Doritos or Mountain dew drink (small bottle)

  • Kazzy

Olay Dual Action Cleanser + Pore Scrub 2 in 1 Foaming Cleanser 5 fl oz was half off at my CVS from 8.99 down to 4.99 I bought 2 and used 2 $1.00 of Olay cleanser coupons, it was the only thing I paid for with “real” money….not a bad deal

  • http://deedeelovejoy.blogspot.com/ DeeDee_FL

I received a 20% off purchase coupon last week in my email and since I always use other store Q's a day or two after they expire I didn't rush out to CVS on Sunday to use it…. :( I put together my plan with 1 transaction using the 20% Q, other store Q's and manufacturer Q's and ECB. Should have paid only tax for 2 toilet paper, 6 Puffs, 2 Biore, 1 John Frieda, 1 Olay face wash, 1 St. Ives scrub, 1 Dial, 1 Dove, 2 CVS tp rolls and a bagtag……. They tried and tried every way they knew to override it, but the register refused to accept the 20% Q!!! So head's up on that one!! I had never got one before so I had no idea. I ended up paying out $12.83 and saving 75.13 for an 85% savings. IF I had any idea that it might not work (the Q) I would have broken it up into several transactions to possibly lower my OOP

  • andreajoi

My CVS in Atlanta had a peelie on almost all of the Biore products included in $5 ECB wyb $15 deal. The peelies were for either $1 off any skincare or $2 off any 2 Biore products.

Also, the Biore steam activated cleanser had a peelie with an offer to receive a $15 cash card through something called AMC surveys. It has a password and serial number to enter to do the survey, but it looks like it is now closed. Has anyone ever done one of these before?

  • Annie

has anyone tried using their $4/$20 beauty coupon for anything other than makeup? I don't use makeup so it would be great to use it on lotion or facewash. thanks in advance!

    • 3monkeysmom

I haven't gotten this particular coupon but I did use a $1 off CVS skincare q for CVS brand baby wipes. I figured butts are skin, right :-)
I don't think my cashier even reads these coupons, she usually just scans them and I've never had one beep. I have seen on other posts that a cashier told someone those coupons could be used on anything but I always try to stick close to what it says.

      • annie

thanks! im going to try it and see!

        • Carrie

I tried this today and it didn't work for me. I go to the travel section and use my $1 for skingcare Q on make-up squares.

      • Suemh

I used one on the Dial Body Wash that was on ECB deal this week, combined with mfg q, making it a money maker.

        • Carrie

So you can use those coupons for anything in the store? I thought it was for CVS brands only, but if we can use them for anything then that would make the deals even sweeter.

          • Suemh

I just realized that the coupon did say “CVS Brand Skin Care Product”. However, I asked my cashier if I could use it on the Dial and she said yes. I feel kinda bad about it now. In an earlier post, someone said that she was told by a CVS cashier that they could be used for anything. I really don't think that it is right to use it on something that is totally different from what the Q states, like using one for skin care on paper products.

          • Carrie

My cashier said today that they are starting to crack down on people using the CVS coupons on items not intended on the coupon. She said that the casier can actually get in trouble for it. I'm just going to stick with using that particular coupon on make-up squares and using the similar coupon off of CVS paper products on paper towels.

    • http://sweeteasavings.blogspot.com Marie

I have tried it on skincare items, but nothing else.

  • Phil

Coupons.com has a $3q on any Non-Drowsy Claritin-D® (15 count or larger) and any Non-Drowsy Claritin® (4 oz or 20 count) right now. Not sure if it is all zip codes but mine is 29710. I know since it is pollen season we use a lot of Claritin right now (5 people in my family and 4 of us take it). Just in case your cvs is out of the 10 count for the ECB and you have to have it right now.

  • Lucy

CVS has Easter candy for 90% off
I found 18 ounce Hershey's Reeses Peanut Butter Egg Minis at 59 cents
    Buy 4 bags = $2.36
Use $1/3 any Hershey's minis from SS 4/11
Pay $1.36 for over 4 pounds of candy :)
    What a sweet deal lol

  • RECollins

Funny story about my trip to CVS today.

I went in to get the Dial shower gel. After all they are 5.49-1.00 mc and giving 4.50 ECBs! Free stuff is great! So I bought 2 – in 2 transactions. Meanwhile, this guy behind me was talking rather loudy on his cell phone to some girl about their date tonight. Then I noticed I didn't get my ECBs :( So I asked the cashier about it. She looked in the ad and sure enough, I picked up the wrong ones. As he was only buying one thing, I told the cashier she could ring him up and then we'd figure out my deal afterwards. At the same time, this guy says to me “Hey lady, sh*& happens, get over it” ! I was appalled! He then proceeds to hit on the cashier, who ignores his advances. Three times he asked her out “hey, when we gonna have dinner?” I was really shocked that he was so rude to me (after I let him go first!) and so forward with the cashier too. Good girl for ignoring him.

End of story, she very pleasantly refunded my money and gave me my coupons back to I could go to another CVS.

    • 3monkeysmom

Why are people soooo rude??? And then he tried to make it seem like you were the rude one, holding up the line….maybe if he wasn't busy talking to the flavor of the week on the phone he might have known what was going on……I mean, how do you respond to people like that?

      • RECollins

I know, and you can't argue with a “meathead” like this guy so I just didn't say anything. If I'm doing multiple transactions, I go during dead times of te day, and there were only 3 of us in the whole store. Thank goodness the cashier was very friendly and understood why I didn't want to pay 4.50 for something I could get essentially for free.

Yep, definitely don't want to pay that much for body wash when you can get it for free. I've gotten so spoiled couponing that I've become a price snob….” I'm NOT paying $—- for this!!”
My sister coupons too and she bought some toothpaste that wound up being $0.99 after ECBs and coupons. I was like “You PAID for toothpaste?”
Luckily I've never run across any idiots behind me in line anywhere. I'm usually a really shy/quiet girl, but I have a thyroid disease and my hormones are WAY out of whack, so if I had ran across this guy I would either have broken down in tears or screamed at him like a crazy person :-) I'm glad you were able to keep your cool :-)

Maybe one day, he'll realize what a fool he is making of himself. I feel for the girl who was going out with him that night since he was hitting on another girl, I hope see has her eyes opened soon.

WARNING: They have NOT pulled all of the recalled products on the John Frieda. My friend and I went in to get some and she picked up 2 shampoos and 1 conditioner. It was the sheer blond kind. Anyway got to the register and the shampoo rang up but the conditioner would not. Said “Item could not be sold”. This was after I had already asked the cashiers if all the products that were recalled had been pulled and was assured that it was. It wasn't. Just be careful on what you buy. :(

    • jhoran

So, what products are we looking at for the recall? Are the ones going through okay? I bought the root awakening and it passed through the register fine.

      • 3monkeysmom

The recall is just for the Sheer Blonde Lustrous Touch Strengthening Conditioner from what I read.

        • jhoran

          Thanks for the info.

so i decided to try out walgreens and get the Kotex U pantyliners using the $1 off q along with $2 RR….was told I couldn't use both on 1 product. the manager even came out to “explain” the policy. walgreens can bite me…i'm sticking with CVS!! I Loooooove my CVS!

    • Guest

You cannot use a RR and q on the same product. Remember each q or RR needs to match to an item. You needed a cheap filler item to make the transaction work.

I'm fairly new to CVS but was really pleased with my trip today. I had $5 ECB from a few weeks ago (1st visit in years) so used that to get free CVS tp and Claritin for my son ($3 coupon plus $2 ECB). Had to pay a little over $2 on that purchase. Then made another purchase for Dove shampoo (I had the $2 coupon) and Colgate Clinical toothpaste ($1 coupon) and used $2 ECB and paid almost $4. Then got the Dial Nutriskin and only had to pay tax (.27 in VA) after using Dove ECB. Walked out with 6.50 left in ECB. Not bad for a first timer! I was also excited to see that ECBs print separately for each item. I was worried I'd be over on the Dial but was able to use just the Dove one and save the Colgate for later!

Maybe I am a little late on this, but I just saw a sign at my CVS saying that they accept ALL competitor's coupons!!!! It was on their digital sign outside. (Madison, AL) Woohoo! I got turned down a few months back for some Publix coupons. :( Now, this gives me more of a variety to save with.

    • Carrie

Just make sure of who they consider a competitor. My Publix takes competitor coupons but not from CVS even though it is in the same shopping strip. In other words, it sounds good that they are taking competitor coupons, but you still have to ask who they consider a competitor. The deal might not seem so good once you find out who they consider to be a competitor.

I finally made it to CVS. I got the $10 EBC for getting $25 in (2) charmin toilet paper packs and (6) puffs plus cubes. what made the deal even sweeter was i got my vocal point sample of puffs in the mail day before yesterday and it had 6 coupons (one $1 off and five 50 cents off)!

I'm new to CVSing and have gone 3 times this week and each time they have been out of the Dial Nutriskin (I went on sunday when sale started, back on tues and 2day)! I even called 2 CVSes around town and everyone is out. Very frustrating…

    • Ashley

      Just grab a raincheck :)

    • pharmSCgirl

Like Ashley said, you can either grab a raincheck or go back today and see if they have any. Sometimes I don't make it to CVS until Saturday before the weekly deals are over and they usually take all of the price tags for this week down and go ahead and put up the price tags for the next weekly ad. It can be confusing but a lot of times I find that they have restocked the shelves of what was on sale.

  • Wendy

Just double checking, but it looks like you broke up the neutrogena sun care deal into two transactions, I didn't know we could do that. So I guess when you purchase the second item in transaction two to bring total to 15.00 that is when you get the 5.00 ECB. Just want to make sure I understand.

    • Suemh

Yes, you can break the deal up into however many transactions that you need in order to get the best deal. You get the ecb when you complee the deal.

  • Lynda

Hey, can anyone tell me “what's up” with CVS sending out new ECB cards. Paper work said, don't worry all you ECB bucks & history will still be on your card. It looks just like the old one. Has anyone else had this happen?

    • Rebecca

      I had that happen too…*shrug*

I just got the May issue of ALL YOU in the mail today. There is a BOGO q for Nivea Body Wash for women and also a BOGO q for Nivea Lip Care.
They specify size but not amount and the one for the body was says “any body wash for women”. In the coupon listing in the magazine, it says ” Nivea Touch of Smoothness p.39 Buy One Get One Free (up to $3.97 value). So……..which coupon is it talking about??? Surely not the body wash b/c their body wash always costs more than that and the q says “any”….hoping it's for the Lip Care b/c this would go good with the Nivea ECB deal. Ends tmw but maybe I'll go and try this out.
This is assuming the Lip Care is $2.99 which is what it was last time I looked…but that's been awhile:
    (2) Nivea Body Wash @ $4.99= $9.98
    (2) Lip Care @ $2.99= $5.98
    total $15.96
    Use:
    BOGO Body Wash -$4.99
    BOGO Lip Care -$2.99
    -$2 Nivea Body Wash
    -$4.99 ECB
Total OOP $0.99 and get back $5 ECB

Looks like this is in Sundays ad too :-)

I just wanted to share how I did at CVS today: got $30 in products, after coupons and ECBs paid $6 OOP, got $10.99 in ECBs back and did the mail in rebate for the Olay lotion $8.99. I've never been paid to shop before, but it sure feels nice!! Thanks to southernsavers for helping me do this!!
