I did this deal this afternoon. I also found a 20% off “office or school supplies” coupon in the flyer that was emailed to me by Staples. Had some rewards from previous deals to pay for all my stuff so I spent $4.67 OOP and will get back $19.98 in rewards and $10.98 in rebates! Thanks!!

  • Benjamin

Can this deal be done online?

  • Mandie

I did the battery deal last nov. or dec. and never recieved my rewards? anyone know why? tia

That happened to me too. I called them after a month and told them I never got it. They told me it was sent but was never used so they issued another one. After weeks, I still haven't gotten the newly issued rebate so I called them again. Finally after 3 months I got my rebate. It is never too late if you would like to call them. They have records of your previous order so they would know.

      • farcoup

Wow!! The exact same thing happen to me. I mean everything you described. That's a little fishy!! I wonder if they kinda wait until you call to send the rewards. Things that make you say Hmmm…

  • Jennifer

I don't trust their rewards. I still haven't gotten my rewards for my recycled ink that I turned in the beginning of March!

    • Amy B.

Their customer service is great… just send them an email or give them a call and they should be able to get it resolved for you.

      • Jennifer

Thanks I haven't gotten around to it yet…I keep forget lol. Thanks for reminding me!

    • ASmith

I would follow up the last two months I have had to call and get them to resend my ink rewards. Each time they said it was sent but I never received the email and on the phone they resent and showed up in my inbox immediately.

    • Amber

I was told the store credit for recyled ink was $3 per cartridge (limit of 10 cartridges per month), and that they would send out the store credit QUARTERLY.

I think they will not send a reward until you have at least $10 worth of rewards, it will roll over on a monthly basis for each quarter. I think these new deals will allow you to get up to the $10 mark for rewards.

    • Jennifer

Yeah I turned in like 6 cartridges and I should get at least 15 dollars back.

      • crystal

On recycling ink cartridges….you get staples coupon money with an expiration date. They send these out every other month….They changed the program this year…..

    • Bee

I used a Staples Reward check that was worth only $1.20 so they must send it out no matter what….BEE

DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE A BUSINESS TO SIGN UP FOR THIS & OFFICE DEPOT ?

  • shandrika

What exactly is the easy rebate? Does it come as a check or what?

    • Amber

Easy saver rebates comes back as a check or visa gift card. Rewards come back as a store credit with an expiration date.

  • Falyn

I went to Staples today to get the copy paper and the sign posted in the store had a different deal on it. The paper was $5.99 and the easy reabate was $5.49, making the ream of paper $.50. The $5.49 rebate comes in the form of a check for you to cash, and not as a coupon.

  • farcoup

I did the paper deal about 2 weeks ago. Is this a new rebate?

  • meldeb3k

Aren't the Staples Reward checks in the form of money that can only be used at Staples? And also, don't they have an expiration date? That is what I heard. Thanks.

    • marysc

No, Staples rewards are checks just like Rite Aid's SCRs. BUT the batteries are part of Staples rewards which does give a store certificate.

      • Amy B.

Staples EASY REBATES are checks or sometimes prepaid visa cards. REWARDS are a store certificate…. just for clarification :)

  • Tanya

what does man Q stand for?

    • Amber

      manufacturer coupon

    • Jesskids

      Manufacturer's Coupon. :)

  • sheila

I have never received the Staples rewards for ink or otherwise. So they will send me the rewards in the mail?

  • CPancake

Question from a newbie…if I use a $1 off coupon on the batteries, do I still get the $9.99 reward?

    • Amy B.

      Yes

    • talljennr

I just realized that the reward is minus any coupons. I just got my reward for $5.20 because I used a reward coupon to pay for part of the purchase.

      • Christie Pancake

I got my reward in the mail the other day and it was for the full amount. I wonder if using a manufacturer's coupon is considered different than using rewards to pay. ???

  • meldeb3k

Does anyone know how long the rebate certificates last? I know there is an expiration date, just like the Register Rewards from Walgreens….. It wouldn't pay me to buy if it wasn't a decent time period to use the certificate because I don't have an office and am not a teacher; there's just so many reams of paper, pencils and pens a person can use! :)

  • the leonards

I did the easy rebate a few weeks ago, and i received a Staples gift card in the mail…is this something new?

  • irmolees

Does anyone know how many you can do? Last winter I did 4 .. limit 2 per purchase .. so I got back $50 in rewards I used to buy ink! wonder if there is a limit .. like the paper is limit 2 per household! Anyone know??

  • talljennr

I got my rewards check today, but am I unhappy! I only got a check for $5.20 because I used a previous rewards check to pay for part of my transaction. After contacting customer service they told me that the rewards is minus any coupons. What gets me is that if I would have bought the batteries in a separate transaction I would have gotten my full reward. My biggest complaint with all rewards programs is the fine print. I end up spending so much time trying to figure out and resolve issues that come up. Anyhow I am just going to return the batteries for a full refund. I only wanted them cause they were suppose to be “free”.
