A new Kraft Catalina deal started yesterday in Kroger, Shop Rite, Harris Teeter and possibly other stores. So if you thought it didn’t apply since there is not a Kroger nearby… this applies probably to a store in your area. If you find it working at any other stores let us know!

If you are owed a catalina and it didn’t print, you can email them at coupon@catalinamarketing.com Give them all of the information from you receipt, and if you are owed one then they will mail it to you. I did this with a catlina on lunch meat that didn’t print from Food Lion. It only took about a week to get it back with their apologies.

I went to Kroger last night and purchased 4 bars of cheese and 1 cream cheese. Mine DID print!! Yay! The cashier told me it would roll too. I haven't tried it, so I don't know for sure.

I'm in Blacksburg, VA and bought five Kraft 8oz shredded cheese for 99 cents as part of the 10 item event. I got a $5 catalina at checkout, PLUS I was lucky enough to find blinkies in the store for $1 / 2 Kraft cheeses, making this a better-than-free deal! Best deal would be to buy 6 as part of the mega event, use 3 $1/2 coupons, pay $3 out of pocket and get $5 back! But you could also buy 8 (for $4 out of pocket) and still come out ahead!

You only get one catalina for 5+ kraft items if you have them all in the same transaction. If you pay for 5 in one transaction and then do a separate transaction for the other 5, you would get 2 catalinas. One for each of the transactions.

We bought 10 cheeses in Hendersonville yesterday and it didn't print either. they never heard of the deal and there were no signs for it. manager said he would call and check into it and call me later. if i don't hear from him I'm going to return the 10 and go somewhere else.

I am in the Jackson area in MS…typically her sale starts on Sunday and ours will start on Wednesday! I don't know if you are on the same schedule, but her sale starts on a Sunday and ours starts on Wednesday! Hope this helps!

I have some tips for freezing cream cheese. I just freeze it in the package, but I have heard of people buying big blocks of it (1 or more pounds) and in that case I would cut it into 8 oz portions, wrap in plastic wrap and then place in a freezer bag. Thaw fully in the refrigerator. When thawed place into a bowl and whip with a hand mixer until it is light and fluffy. It really makes a world of difference if you whip it vs just serving it plain out of the package once it has been frozen and then thawed. Hope that helps.

p.s. cream cheese has a really long shelf life anyways so you may be able to use it up before it expires.

I got 2 of the 8 oz cheeses, 1 Cracker Barrel cheese, 1 Breakstone's cottage cheese and 1 Breakstone's sour cream. Looking back on my items, I now realize that my sour cream is only 8 oz. I bet that's why it didn't work. Ugh!

probably the coupons says for the 16 oz also. that's why I was wary about the singles cheese it didn't say it on the sign so I didn't get it but i'll try that one tomorrow. i'm saving my catalina for next week..

The Epps Bridge Kroger is the best about coupons. I never have any trouble and I use 10+ coupons every time I go.

You should call the catalina coupons and request your catalina. The number is…1-888-8coupon. The only bummer is that is take 6 to 8 weeks to get your coupon.

How much is too much cheese? haha I have rolled the $5 off about 10 times! ;) There are blinkies at my Kroger for $1.00 off 2 shredded or block cheese. The best deal is to buy 4 shredded or block cheese and one cream cheese and 5 gatorades or Pepsi products. Your first transaction will be about $5.50 after dicounts and the $5 off for the Mega Sale. Then I rolled the $5.00 coupon into a separate transaction. I bought 4 more shredded cheeses, one cream cheese and 5 Dr. Peppers. I ended up getting the second transaction for 58 CENTS plus $5 dollars off my next order (which I will use to buy 5 more Kraft cheeses and 5 other mega event items!) My husband just laughs at ALL the cheese! ;)

We go through cheese like crazy here, so I agree, no such thing as too much! You can freeze shredded cheese. I just throw the bags in our deep freeze and pull it out when I need it. I also shred the blocks and put in freezer bags. Just thaw and use like normal. We can't tell any difference.

Would love to know if this works in SoCal, if anyone has tried? I've tried it before (the last time you lucky guys and gals had the awesome Kraft Cat) and we didn't get it out here. My store is really hit-or-miss with signage, so usually the only way I know if it will work is by trying it.

This worked at my Kroger in Raleigh NC. I did 3 transactions to roll the $5. My dad loves lean cuisine so they were part of the $5 off for 10 also. He lets me keep all the coupons since I shop for him occassionally. I purchased 5 shredded cheese & 8 lean cuisines (should have added 3 more of the 10 item special but my brain had a glitch). Got back $4 for the LC and $5 for the cheese. Did it again, got $4 & $5. The clerk was impressed that I KNEW what was coming out of the coupon machine. My final transaction included 5 cream cheese, the Dr. Pepper Ice cream topping and several other items. Had a few good deals from the coupon load ups onto my Kroger card. $2 off Venus disp. razors, $2 off Smart Balance Milk…I had 2 $2 coupons on the Smart Balance Milk also. The milk was on special for 2/$6 so they were…you guessed it – FREE!! My total before Kroger card & coupons $116.xx. After card, coupons and throwing in the $18 of free cash back, my OOP was $21.xx. I then got $5 & $2.50. Not bad.

There are no signs for the cheese deal. I saw it on a sticky on the shredded cheese at Kroger. I bought 15 cheeses total and only recieved 1 cat. Can you return food at Kroger? because if I would of known I would not of bought all that cheese.

Actually, when I emailed corporate about a similar issue I received an email reply that said basically the store manager has the right to refuse any coupon…basically, they didn't care at all.

I have returned food to Kroger before without a problem. I would definitely try to return it and repurchase it in different transactions; it would be worth the $10 to me. Also, our Kroger had a coupon dispenser for $1/2 shredded or chunks, which made it an even better deal! I guess it would be a better deal if they had the stuff in stock. Come on Kroger, step it up!

i am confused about the catalina deals. I am not sure how they work. are you just posting ones that print when you check out? i only shop at publix and cvs so i never get catalinas. So do all these only apply to those folks who do get them or is there some place i can go to get them. I have a winn dixie but how do you know what catalinas will print and I really dislike that store and shopping at it. thanks for any input

Worked in Allen, TX: Bought 3 Philly cream cheeses and 2 shredded Cheddars….. $5 back! Not to mention that they have $1/2 blinkies in front of the cheese. And I heard that it will roll!!!! Going back today. So, my scenario today will be to buy 10 shredded cheeses, which will be $18.80 on the mega deal… Give them 5 $1/2 coupons AND my $5 catalina from yesterday. OOP: $8.80 and will receive another $5 back. $3.80 net for 10 cheeses!!! That will last us for months!!! :)

Okay..I'm new at this. Bought 2 Breakstone SourCream, 3 Philly Cream Cheese, 7 Red Gold tomatoes, gallon milk.. OOP after coupons and Mega Event was $10.02. Didn't get the Kraft $5 off catalina coupon. What did I do wrong?
I noticed on my receipt the sour cream was reg price..didn't think that matter but maybe?

Did you buy the 16oz sour cream? The cat I have advertising the deal indicates that the size requirement for the sour cream (both kinds) is 16 oz. Just a guess.

I also bought the 16 oz and all the right other items at Harris Teeter (Burlington, NC) and didn't get the Catalina, but I was in a hurry and didn't think about not having it in my grubby little paw until I was almost home. Since it's a 20-minute drive for me to go to HT anyway, and I was pushing it to get home before Vacation Bible School, I just forfeited and will do better with follow-up next time. :o(

Let me say, though, on a positive note, for the FIRST time, I saved MORE than I spent! I spent $103 oop and saved $148 on coupons and vic savings ($85 in coupons alone!!). I even had meat and a bit of produce, so I don't feel so bad about the shopping trip, even without the catalina! :o)

If that happens- point it out and ask to speak to a manager, I bought 10 participating items and it did not print my cats- I called the manager over and they gave me $10.00 back in cash. Not saying they will do this everywhere but it is always good to ask.

Here what I found only buy the cheese in one transaction. cream cheese and sour cream are working together but have found not with you buy with the cheese. so I would do two transactions.

I saved 104 bucks paid 19.40 in 3 transactions.

If your Catalina is clearly marked in the store and does not print, you can also just talk to the cashier or service desk. They will probably give you a gift card or load it onto your Kroger plus card. I've had to do this several times and they are always really nice about it!

I just went to Krogers and bought 5 Kraft shredded cheeses. I didn't get the catalina either. I ended up at the service desk. The service desk lady was having a very bad day. They made her work it with no help bec. they were short of cashiers. People were yelling at her bec. of the long wait. I waited 30 minutes before it was my turn due to a man buying a money order trying to pay in something other than US money and a lady returning formula she'd just bought so she could use the catalinas she'd just gotten. Finally – it was my turn. The dairy person told the SD worker to go with me to look at the catalina sign. She said – but I have 7 people waiting (and they were not being nice – yelling etc). So – we went to look. She kept my reciept and gave me $5. I'm glad I got my money but I hope they get her some help!

I just call the cat number to get my coupon , i bought 5 cream cheese and she told me that TN has some dairy law and that the cream cheese was not part of the offer. Anyone have any ideas about this.
