this is kinda long....sorry!

i had a similar issue with the 2 qs not ringing up properly....i had to get a raincheck at cust svc....so while the floor personnel were getting the stock numbers for the clerk, we reviewed my receipt.

i bought 4 benadryl bitesticks @ 2.29 each and had two $5 off 2 coupons, which should have been reduced to 4.58 each, per the store policy (which i carry a copy of the email they sent me in my coupon wallet, in case there's a training opportunity!)

i also bought the pampers wipes and had a $2 q for that.

the receipt only showed -2.29, - 2.29 and - .25. the cust svc rep went to the register and pulled the 3 coupons (the 2 $5 benadryl ones, and the $2 pamper wipes) from the checkout lane. the $2 coupon scanned as 'misc .25' at her register, which was baffling to her! i also forgot to give the cashier the tide Q for $1 for the .97 travel size, and so i asked the cust svc lady if she could fix that too. she said, of course, no problem....i ended up getting 7.55 back from her.

it's too bad that the cash registers aren't programmed 100% for accuracy on all the coupons, but that was worth taking the time to get corrected.

That happend to me today! My tampon coupon would only ring up as 16 cents even though it was for a dollar. The cashier fixed it though. That's weird that the manager told you she couldn't fix it.

I had this experience today at Target too.....I was trying to your a B1G1 coupon for chocolate and I also had a $1 coupon for it. I was buying 2 bars and wanted to use both coupons but the cashier told me I couldn't...however, she overrode it for me just that once which I thought was nice. She said that the free items there ring up as free and you can't use a coupon on an item that rings up zero. Not sure if that is really their policy, but it's what she said. At any rate, I thought it was nice of her to give it to me. Now I know.

I've gotten the same attitude from a manager at Walgreens and a few managers at Publix. These few people have actually stated to me verbatim "I really hate coupons, they are so annoying to deal with" and then the rest of the interaction is full of attitude. When I apologize for "being a pain in the butt" and then try to laugh, they always say "Oh it's not you just coupons" but they continue with the attitude! If' it's not me, quit with the 'tude.

I actually tried this transaction tonight and they told me that it's not allowed because you are using 2 manuf. q's on one product. The $4 off is on the body wash, the Ivory soap is free contingent on the purchase of the body wash, so the b1g1 coupon is actually on the body wash, not the ivory soap. On the plus side, the body wash was only $4.79/ea instead of the $5.79 I was planning on. I live in Florida so I don't know if that makes a difference but that's how the manager explained it to me.

I get it! That was a perfect way to explain it. I was thinking the $4 off was for body wash and the B1GIvory coupon was for the bodywash as well, but the discount is applied to Ivory not Olay-- 2 coupons 2 different purchases. I'm not sure if I made this clear, but it's definitely clear in my head now. THANK YOU!

I checked my receipt after getting home and realized my 2nd coupon deducted at only $.08 as well. Can anyone let us know why this happened? Makes no sense to have a $1 off coupon show up as $.08. It's not like my transaction was a money maker. Thanks for any insight!

I hope I explain this correctly...you ARE making two purchases. The $4.00 off applies to the purchase of the bodywash, and the free Ivory soap applies to the purchase of the Ivory soap. Are you thinking of one per transaction, possibly?

Me, too. I try so hard to look at the add and double check my coupons, but I never can get out of there without having to redo or argue. The cashier's are nice and would be happy if the things would scan, but it will not. One day it was that I had recieved that morining RR for $5. from Dove and tried to use this RR that afternoon for more Dove Product. The manager and cashier like to have never figured out what was wrong, but it would not go through.

Just got back from Target in Durham, NC. The dollar deals that are marked with a black dot are 50% off. This includes the batteries!! 4 batteries for $0.50 a pack! They also had Cars and Toy Story 3 pencil packs for $0.50. Great for back to school!

Target's registers seem to have minds of their own. This is has happened to me before when there was overage on an item. I had to go to the customer service desk, and they had to adjust the items so that I could get them for free with the coupon. It was not worth the hassle.

Target wasted more of my time today, for the 3rd week in a row. So I think, 3 strikes and you're out. I think more people should boycott such a bad system. I recommend shopping at stores like Publix and CVS where they like to help you save money and are always friendly to you who coupon. Target didn't have most of the items in stock that I went to get, and then on the freebies, the cashier informed me that she couldn't take the coupons b/c they were for trial sizes. I kindly explained that the coupons didn't have size restrictions, and she refused to take them still. So I spent a total of an hour and half this week looking through the target deals and gathering the coupons, then going to the store, all to save 4 $. I don't have the time to waste on a store that is rude and uncooperative with you when there are stores that help you and you can save just as much if you wait for their deals to come around and stock up then. Reading through the comments I see that a lot of other readers constantly deal with problems at Target, but I just refuse to continue to shop somewhere that creates such hassle when there are better options.

I have a question...I went to Target to buy the Benedryl sticks that are on sale for $2.29. I had the $5 off 2 products. Well it only deducted $2.29, so I ended up paying for 1. Why is that?

I don't understand how people are using the $4off olay bodywash and free Ivory Soap with bodywash in a single Olay purchase. Both coupons say only one coupon per purchase. Why is this allowed? Am I missing something???
