This was a get back to business week at our house.  Our girls got busy into school work and I got busy into some deep cleaning and shopping!!  I hoped to make it to Kroger and a drugstore but went a little over board in Kroger so for our budgets sake decided to hold off on any drugstore runs (that will be next week looking at the awesome Rite Aid ad).

I ended up doing 11 mega event deals in the same transaction!  After not shopping for a few weeks it was time to just get back to stocking up.  (Mind you my stocking up is truly sticking to the six week rule — you might want 40 boxes of Fiber One because they are free but really… we will see a good sale again I promise!)

Kroger:
Total Before sales and coupons: $252.24
Total Spent: $87.91
Total Saved: $164.33 or 67%

This also included a few comfort foods by request of my husband.  It is such a joy to have him eating again though that I’ll pretty much buy anything he wants with no complaints (for a few weeks in anyway).  Thank you for your sweet words or encouragement and prayers last week!

      I spent 53 on $453 worth of groceries at Kroger this week! That was my best ever! Thanks Southern Saver!! I found lots more after the ones on here, but couldnt post them all. I am officially called, “Coupa Queen” by my husband now. A little take off of Coupa King from Mario Brothers. :)

      I don't read your blog much, but ran across it on facebook, and had no idea anything personal was going on. I will pray for all of you from now on. :)

      Blessings! And as I get more into it, I will share my finds. I have one child and stay home, and my hubby lets me shop alone long as I want on Mondays… so I consider it a blessing and honor to share with others.

      Another successful shopping trip! 117.69 worth of items for 62.05 – savings of 47% … including .99 cent hummus (on sale + B1G1) and Kikoman Terriyaki Sauce for .89 cents a bottle (bought three.. got a .75 cents Cat plus can send away for the gift from kikoman!) and a mission tortilla pack for 25 cents.. (plus several reduced price chickens that went straight into my freezer!)

      Had 2 great trips to CVS this week. First trip got 3 Pop Tarts, Fusion Razor, 6 Sobe drinks, Head & Shoulders shampoo, 7 Right Guard deodorants and a Dry Idea deodorant. After coupons and $7 ecbs from last week my total was $9.78 but I got $9 ecbs so all this was 78 cents!
      2nd trip, Zegerid, eye drops, 8 bottles Sobe all free after tax! I love this!

        This used to be confusing to me…..But if you're counting last week's ECBs and this week's ECBs in the same deal, then the 78 cents wouldn't be accurate. It would be counting them twice to count them in two different deals: the one you used them in and the one you received them in.
        The deal-seeking part of your brain automatically wants to subtract the ECB you just got and it makes it look better than it is if you're including the past week's ECBs :-)
        I think of ECBs more like cash than I do a coupon. So basically your OOP would have been $16.78 and you got back $9 ECB, making it $7.78 for everything instead of 78 cents.
        I hope I haven't thorougly confused you!!

      I've been dragging my feet recently with shopping. Usually I make several small trips to Kroger, CVS, and Rite Aid every week so that no one gets overwhelmed with all of the coupons (especially me). I never made it to Rite Aid this week but did end up doing Kroger and CVS.

      Kroger: I bought 82 items, 80 were in the mega sale – sobe, progresso (40 cans), fiber one, nature valley, chex mix, pillsbury sweet moments. I also bought 2 packages of mirra face wipes, they were $2.99 each and I had a $5/2 coupon.

      total before coupons/sales: $154.23
      total oop: $7.28
      total saved: $146.95 or 95%

      I started the week with $7.50 CAT coupons and ended with $3

      CVS: I bought the freebies – zegerid, blink tears, notebooks, sobe. I only got 2 sobes for free this week because my store was limiting the bogo coupons to 1 per customer…

      total before sales/coupons: $95.12
      total oop: $.86
      total saved: $94.26 or 99%

      I ended with week with $9 more extra bucks then I stated with

          zegerid was $9.99 with $7 in extra bucks back, making it $2.99. there are $3 and $4 coupons out. one was in an insert and the other was from an issue of all you. either of these coupons made it free. we don't pay tax on medicine in my state (va), so I didn't even have to pay that.

          blink tears were $7.99 with $7.99 extra bucks.

      I have been playing the SoBe Heads or Tails game everyday for a while. So I stocked up on the BOGO coupons. This week I got 48 SoBe lifewaters for free. That is a savings of $76.32. I also saw coupons for Vitamin water in the store this week so I'm hoping to get 10 free Vitamin waters next week.

      I am very upset with myself. I went to my cvs and the right guard was $4.49 b1g1 and I heard it was $3.00 at Walgreens, so I went to Walgreens. I had 3 $3 off coupons when you buy 2 deoderants. When I got to Walgreens I found out that it was $3.99. So I paid .50 per deoderant a total of over $4 w/tax. Well I went back to CVS that afternoon to pick up a few more things scanned my card and out comes the $5 off $15 coupon. I could have gotten the deoderant at cvs with that coupon for free!!! Still a good deal on the deoderant but free is always better.I hate it when that happens!!

      Last night at Target I spent $4.17 and got a 12-pack of Coke, 2 notebooks, Jif peanut butter, Smuckers jelly, and 3 4-packs of Hunts chocolate pudding. Plus, I paid with a $5 gift card Target had given me the previous week, so basically I got all of this for free! Love it!
