I don’t tend to share very local deals, but this coming weekend there is a FREE event that is going to be pretty awesome.  Some friends of ours are organizing the First Annual Indie Craft Parade in Greenville SC that is unlike any craft fair I’ve ever heard of.

They wanted everything to be unique pieces from independent artisans, so every artist present had to apply and have their work put before a jury.  Over 350 artists applied but only 80 were chosen to be a part of the first year.

From their site:
Indie Craft Parade brings the best handmade artists from the Southeast together under one roof. It’s a public market where you’ll find quality crafts, local food, and opportunities to make friendships and connections with the artists themselves.

This event is for independent artisans and anyone interested in purchasing unique handcrafted goods from people within their own communities.

When & Where::

The event is Friday from 6-9 pm and Saturday from 9 am-5 pm at the historic Huguenot Mill in downtown Greenville, South Carolina. The mill is located at 101 W. Broad Street, next to the Peace Center. View map

      I live in Atlanta, but Greenville is my hometown. I know many great artists there (my mother is one of them). If you're in Greenville, I bet this will be a good one.

      Thanks for featuring this! I didn't know about it. My family loves Falls Park right across the way, and this would be an added bonus to a trip to downtown G-ville.

We appreciate the heads up on this event as my husband and his brother have been working all day on drawings to make wooden rocking animals. In fact, I printed this notice and took it to them just now so they can attend and get a feel for the market. Thanks again.
