You all may know Dollar General as a convenient place to go for low prices on general goods.  Now they have opened up a low-cost line of women’s jeans called “Bobbie Brooks”.  Jeans can be that one item of clothing we’re willing to shell out extra bucks for, because a pair that really fits is worth its weight in gold.  Now Dollar General is giving us the option to pay less – as low as $12/pair – for 5-pocket stretch jeans!

They recently sent me a pair of jeans to try out.   The wash is great – I like how dark they (makes  you look slimmer). However, the fit runs small, so if they shrink at all in the wash  I won’t be able to wear them again until I lose a few more pounds with Weight Watchers.  I’ll confess they aren’t magical jeans that take off 40 pounds, but they’re worth a try if you’re looking to meet a wardrobe need without a huge budget deficit.

      I love my local Dollar General, I am in there all the time. I get a lot of my holiday decorations there and now that they take coupons, I'm in there even more. They are in the same strip mall as my Publix so it makes it convenient. I will definitely check out the jeans. $12 is a great buy.

      I can remember in the fifties and sixties Bobbie Brooks clothes were considered stylish and sold at high end stores. At some point they were no longer carried in the better stores but you could find the name brand at Walmart. I haven't noticed Bobbie Brooks clothes at Walmart in a good while.

      Not one that has always been able to swing to afford new clothes. I wait till the end of season sales. I am a thrift store shopper any other time. Also DG don't have alot of plus size clothing. They also have great everyday prices, plus have weekly flyers and lots of sales, and their own store coupons, plus regular closeouts. They may not have everything you want but they try real hard to pack it all in a small space. I'm looking forward to the day that they do double coupons.

      Cant beat jeans for $12.00 I have bought other Bobbie Brooks clothing items and the quality is just as good as some of the clothing you buy in the mall. With three kids I am very cautious about my spending. Will have to go check these out.

      I have looked at them before seeing this post. I would consider them if they carried petite, but they do not. Even Petite jeans on me need cinching up because I am only 5 ft 3 in. So the size average that they sell isn't an option for me.
