To start our week off is Leap Frog. They are giving away $250 in the latest gear and games for kids.
LeapFrog is a company that specializes in creating toys, books, and hand held electronics for children with an emphasis on learning in a fun and innovative way. We have so many Leap Frog toys already (some of which have been on my fridge for the past 4 years), but I was excited when they sent us a Leapster Explorer system. We have the all the learning systems for younger kids, and were already looking at this as a present for our big girls.
If you haven’t played with the Explorer system it’s a hand held unit with a touch screen. The screen resolution is almost HD quality so this is pretty nifty “toy”. Personally, I think most Leap Frog gear is really school wrapped into a fun package. All of their 40 + games and books are created for the purpose of teaching kids to read, math, social studies etc. Every game and download has so many side games and facts that your kids might be smarter than you after a little while (or least on that subject).

Internet in more rural areas, I live in the country and feel internet is never working its way futher out, I use a broadband card via my phone company and pay a small fortune. If it has to be a specific place than…, more free wifi at resturants and markets.. . .to help with shopping.

I would love to have decent internet access at my house. Right now I can only get dial up which is ridiculously slow. AT&T (my home provider) told me it would be another 2 years before they offer high speed lines. I can't afford to pay for satellite internet. I am already in a cell phone contract and Verizon won't let me switch to a PalmPre to use as a hot spot. I want my two children, 5 and 21 months, to be able to play educational games on line but they can't because the connection is too slow. I am so discouraged about the situation but I don't know what to do. HELP!!!

The place I would LOVE to have internet service where I currently do not would be at my child's football field where they practice 4 nights per week! I am attending school online and I sit out there for about 2 hours and would LOVE to be able to use that time wisely…you can watch your child run plays for so long! lol :o)

I really wish I had FREE internet access on airplanes. It is ridiculous that planes charge so much in fees and then want to charge another $15 for WiFi, even for about an hour of time.

I would love this gift pack for my 5 year old. He has a developmental delay, especially with fine motor skills. He needs to practice writing his letters so he’ll be able to do his work at school faster and keep up with the rest of the class. Games seem to make him want to do things like this, whereas he won’t just practice writing them on paper for me. Plus, I’m sure he’d love the games, as well.

I have a 10 year old daughter who I am always looking for educational toys that are still fun. I think she would love the Leapfrog Explorer!
My five-year-old son would LOVE this! He has a Leapster which he just absolutely loves. He has often said, “Mommy, I have a Leapster. I'm so blessed!” Another time, my husband was trying to teach him about being thankful for what we have. In a moment of frustration over my son's cavalier attitude, he said, “What if we were to give all of your toys away?” After pondering this for a moment he said, “Hmmm…okay, but not my tricycle or my Leapster.” It was one of those moments where we really wanted to crack up, but we had to keep a straight face for the sake of the lesson we were trying to teach him!

I’ve been looking into different educational gaming systems for my soon to be 4 year old (8 more days:) ) since we make a 13-14 hour road trip to visit my family at least twice a year and it can be pretty boring for a little one to be int he car for that long and this gaming system was the best I’ve found. I want something educational but fun at the same time. Every time he sees the commercial for the Leapster he gets soo excited and has been begging me to get to get him that for Christmas. I’d love to grant him that wish and watch his cute face light up it would melt my heart. Thank you for being such an awesome site.

My son has the older version and I was thinking about upgrading his. He has played his Leapster all year since he got his last year for Christmas. If he got a new one, I was hoping he would pass his older version down to his younger brother. The Leapfrog Letter Factory movie is how both my children learned their letter sounds and I love the whole leapfrog line of toys.

A coworker/friend of mine's daughter was diagnosed with leukemia two weeks ago. The diagnosis actually came on the day they were to be leaving to take her to Disney World. Needless to say, plans have changed and life has been changed. I think this special little girl deserves a special little gift like the leapster explorer. what a great prize, my grandson loves his leap pad. When I had my gallbladder out we got his book on science and we learned where it is and what it does. The books are wonderful learning tool and would love for him to explore the new system.

The Leapster Explorer would go to my grandson who is five. I am a retired teacher and I have long known the value of Leapster systems and have bought them for my classrooms of First and Kindergarten students. We have the Tag,Diji,& 2 Leapster 2. I have an 11 year old with Asperger's & twins, one of which has Autism. These game systems are awesome & have helped all my sons learn so much. The twin with Autism can read almost anything & he is only 5. I attribute this to the Tag & Leapster 2. They all love the games & share all of them. We would love to add this one to our collection.

I am a stay at home mom with a 15 year old, 5 year old, and a 3 year old. I homeschool my 15 year old 10th grader, and my 5 year old kindergartener. I have tried for months for my 3 1/2 yrs old son Jaden to potty. I tried everything, finally I promised Jaden I would get him the Explorer if he pottied. He finally started peeing/pooing(still working on some) in the potty about 2 weeks ago. I have been shopping around for one (but they are so expensive and I don't believe paying $$ for a child) once he is completely comfortable with both peeing and pooing in the potty. I have two grandchildren that were devastated by Katrina and the family is still recovering from losing everything. Family living in one room home, family of 5 and the children's toys are the last to be replaced. The education is also suffering as schools are slowly being rebuilt and teachers moving back to teach. We take long trips in the car to see our families far away. This would be a wonderful toy to help us get through the many hours in the car. Plus, She will be LEARNING!!!! What a great thing!

My step-son has ADHD and has difficulty learning. He's currently in a Special Education setting, because he has a hard time staying on task.
I have bought him other Leapster products in the past and he has had great success with stayin on task and learning. :-D It's a wonderful thing to see.
I believe that he would absolutely LOVE this product. Not to mention the fact that he has been dropping hints that he wants it for Christmas.
This would be great for my grandson. I actually have one on layaway. Being disabled and living on a fixed income this would be a great help.

My 5 y/o son would love to win a leapster. We bought him one in May and he loved it and played with it daily. One day he accidentally threw it in the trash thinking it was the electronic game I had bought him at Goodwill for $2.00 that looked identical to his Leapster,by the way we still have the $2 one. Since it cost so much and he got 3 games with it when we bought it, I did not buy him another one., He still has his gamesl, but no leapster. It would be a dream come true just like when I was a kid and Santa brought me my one present. I am now 51, and raising my great nephew who is 8. He is my dream come true and since he came into my life I had to make a lot of changes. My job was the major change. I went from working 60+ hours a week to 25 hrs. From making $40.00 an hour to $9.00. We will be losing our house soon and while I know our home will be wherever we are as long as we are together. I would never be able to get him his dream presents and the new leapster is top on his list. He will still smile Christmas morning, which is why he is the greatest kid in the world. Please help me make his Christmas one to remember, just like the one when I got the sought after Mrs. Beasley doll from Family Affair when I was his same age.

We are in the process of adopting our son who just turned 3. We have had him since he was 8 months old. He is in speech therapy due to some complications with his adnoids and asthma issues that were not discovered untill he was 2 1/2. My 5 year old daughter with downs syndrome could really use this to help her work and exercise her mind and continue to be learning during the process. We spend a lot of time in the car so this would be perfect for her and would keep her interested.
